While farming rep, make sure to pick this quest up again after you turn it in. You must have the quest to loot the book.

In case you don't realize the name Galford at first like I did, it is Archivist before last boss in Living side of Strat. Book is lying on table behind him.

Here is what I did. I grabbed the quest, then flew to Plaguewood Tower. If you don't have the Flight Path make sure you grab it! I then entered Stratholme.

I cleared the monsters etc. to Balnazzar. Opposite Balnazzar was Instructor Galford. I killed him and took the book from him, which was behind the table.

I exited the instance, then went to Plaguewood Tower. DO NOT RESET THE INSTANCE! I caught a wind rider to Light's Hope Chapel and handed the quest in, getting 2000 Argent Dawn rep.

I grabbed the quest again and did the same as before. Because I didn't reset the instance, there were no mobs to kill; making a clear path for me to follow. The book is still obtainable.

To get revered to exalted you will need to do this quest 11 times. :)

EDIT: After getting exalted; doing the quest 11 times took me about 3-4 hours. Also, I did this as a level 80 ret pally. Doing it 70+ would be advised.

I have done the first three Goldbraids quests but after the turn in of "Greasing the Wheel", Fiona will not talk to me. Can anyone tell me why? She is standing at the bridge with the caravan next to her.

If you are a Death Knight, you can do this quest in less than four minutes once you have cleared the way once. When you have picked up the Annals of the Silver Hand use Death Gate and teleport to Ebon Hold. From there fly to Lord Raymond George with your flying mount.

One trip took me 5min 45sec with 310% mount and ghost wolf(talent) so took far below one hour.. Got 10% guild perk..

It does give 2k rep per...also bring some swiftness potions to get to the annal faster...its a long walk over and over otherwise

or a chant boots minor speed, for a cheap way to boost your run speed

another thing worth noting if you are in a guild with a tabard to go back to the main city, set your hearth to light hope's chapel if you have quite a bit of rep to go, it took me at minimium 7.5 minutes(no interuptions like eye of naxx or respawns) to get the full circle, with no swiftness potions or run speed inscrease but 310% riding (no guild mount boost)...so if you are doing more then 3 turns it might be worth it to set your hearth

dont forget your scrolls of recall scribes, get your 20 minute hearths too

just somethings I thought of while finishing my rep...

To get the repeatable Argent Dawn quests:
To be able to do the quests and you must first complete the following quests that are initiated by Fiona who is standing at the bridge that connects the Eastern Plaguelands and Western Plaguelands.

Tarenar Sunstrike -> What I Do Best -> A Gift For Fiona
Gidwin Goldbraids -> Just Encased -> Greasing the Wheel

Once these two chains are completed, you can do Onward, to Light's Hope Chapel which will take you to 'Crown Guard Tower'. Once there you must complete Traveling Companions (he's at the top of the tower) and then complete his quest (Rough Roads) before being able to continue on to the next tower via the quest The Trek Continues. Once there, you can pick up the quest Boys Will Be Boys from Fiona. Go to 'Light's Hope Chapel' and complete the following quest line:

A Boyhood Dream -> Argent Call: The Trial of the Crypt

After completing the latter of these two quests, you will be set to revered (+0 reputation if you're already over 0/21000 revered) and Lord Raymond George will appear at the back of the chapel and will provide you with the two repeatable quests that give 2,000 Argent Dawn reputation per hand-in.

Best Grinding Method:
I have just got to exalted on my protection paladin and found something interesting (I was level 85 and used a flying mount to get around):

When doing both quests it took me just over 12 minutes to do, starting from standing in front of Lord Raymond George (the quest giver) and ending in front of him. However, if I only did , it took me around 5 minutes 30 seconds to complete meaning it's actually quicker to spam Rattlegore kills than to try doing both.

The best way to complete is once you've got to Scholomance, jump down from the 'bridge' and stay as close to the wall as you can (there's a little ledge in the pit below which you'll land on and it will greatly reduce the chance of pulling anything). Then run up the steps and over to the room with whelplings in; once in this room, jump down the hole on your left and then run over and kill Rattlegore. After that there's only really one way back to the entrance. It shaves off about 30 seconds or so taking this route to Rattlegore.

I used a little under 4 minutes from start to finish as a death knight.

I used Death Gate, so I just had to fly a short distance from Ebon Hold to Light's Hope Chapel.
And with a 310% mount..

Doing all of the core quests in EPL will eventually get you to a quest called Journey's End. Accepting it gives you an item called Gidwin's Hearthstone. If you never turn in this quest, you never lose the item. If you use the item, abandon the quest and re-accept it. After all, once you're to that point, all of Fiona's caravan (including Gidwin) can be found at Light's Hope Chapel, which is where Gidwin's Hearthstone teleports you. And this item has no cooldown as it wasn't intended to be reusable. Though it should be mentioned that Blizzard has patched the game a few times since this trick has been published.

For a char that has never visited EPL since the shattering, this might seem like a lot of legwork. If you're a DK, then it's probably not worth the effort. Otherwise, this makes for a very nice teleport to northern Eastern Kingdoms. Which is especially nice for Alliance since, unlike Horde, they do not have capital cities in northern EK. Perfect for trips to Zul'Aman and whatever else you might need up there.

I didn't find the exact answer I was looking for so here's how you get the rep:

1. Pick up this quest in LHC.

2. Go to Strat (scarlet side, not back entrance).

3. Clear through to the Instructor, room before Balnazzar. Get the book on the table.

4. Go back to LHC. Do not reset the instance.

5. Pick up the quest again and go get the book. You do not have to clear anymore. Quest item will be available.

6. Repeat until exalted.

I found this out with only 2 turn-ins left, you don't need to reset Stratholm each run. The book remains there. Just turn it in, pick up the quest again, and run straight to the book. As a DK I just port to Acherus each time so that's helpful. Otherwise utilize the flight points along the towers for the fastest method of travel.

1 more tip if ur Hs in on CD then you can simply take off your gear and use unstuck feature. This will kill you and you will end up on graveyard - enter instance=ur alive and saved 2 min trip ^^

if u are a death knight don't waste your time to run all the way out of the instance and to the quest giver, just use your death gate.. "ebon hold" is just next to "light's hope chapel" where the quest giver is :)

As low level, go queue to this instance and when its over, tele out of instance, complete quest (assuming ur next to the quest giver), tele in and ran to end take the book, tele out, turn in, tele in, get book <- repeat that.

NOTE: You must stay in the dungeon group and there must be at least one guy with you in the group to be able to do this

Theres a lot of disjointed information here, so I'm going to do my best to consolidate every good idea I've read here.

Assuming you're 85 and the trash is negligible, you're going to be aiming for time. Heres the quickest way I've found.

1. You're only running Scholomance/Rattlegore. As another poster stated. Round trip is ~5 mins. Doing both Strath and Scholo is ~12.

2. Theres a lot of "do not reset the instance" posts here but they don't refer to what they are talking about. That's for Stratholme runs only. Rattlegore will still be dead if you don't reset the instance.

3. Hearth.

4. As a ritual to get into, reset the instances at Lord Raymond George. You don't need to do this, but its a good habit to get into.

Manage your hearth time. Its 15 mins CD if you guild has the achievement so take a flight path if you need to burn time.

I ground this up to exalted this evening "Argent Dawn" doing just the 1 repeatable for the book. As stated above by Greenwithnv you can run in run up to the room and then run out and hand it in if the quest was picked up before hand. Now it was 5 am and I started Thinking sometimes this happens and sometimes its good and sometimes its bad. Now i was thinking in theory. I repeat IN THEORY i am lvl 85 so i didn't try this and have no low lvls to try it with but thought it would post to ask. If you and a friend at lvl to do Stratholme and have done the pre quests to do the repeatable. Can you que for the instance right next to the quest giver "stay and wait for it to pop" run up to run the book grab it then teleport out and hand it in. Teleport back in grab it again rinse and repeat 10 times quick and damn you will be Exalted in about 10 hand ins with guild perks its 2200 rep. If that does not work because of people not wanting to wait you could just find 5 people i mean it was 5 am and there was at lest 3 people i ran across doing quests in EPL. Like I said this is just a THEORY i am probably thinking to much but i was wondering. The only contradicting thing i could think of was that all the people in the party would have to leave the instance and come back in for the book to respawn but if every 1 knows what you are doing i think it would be fare compromise.

As a Death Knight I did it this way:

1) I took the quest from the NPC
2) Got the book in Stratholme
3) Casted death gate
4) Completed the quest
5) Repeat 1, 2, 3 and 4 till exalted ^^

If you are like me, and decided halfway through the chain to unlock this quest that you might as well go for the 만원 짐마차 while you are here, then you can use the last part of the quest chain to speed this grind up. The last quest, gives you 기드윈의 귀환석 and then the quest giver and caravan are all waiting at Light's Hope Chapel.

So long story short:
1: run strath, grab 은빛 성기사단 연대기
2: use the hearthstone to turn in 은빛 성기사단 연대기
3: Pick up
4: abandon the and then pick it back up to get a new hearthstone
5: repeat
...tada...everyone is now a shaman

On my Warrior (310% flight), I was able to do 3min 50sec round-trips when my Hearthstone was up and 5min 15sec trips when it was on CD. Revered to Exalted in well under an hour.

Obviously your first clear is going to take a bit longer since you have to kill mobs. You do not need to reset the instance. Kill Balnazzar on your first run and it's smooth sailing after that.

With Hearthstone available:
- Accept quest(easy to forget!), fly to Strat, run through instance, loot book, hearth. Easy peasy.

When Hearthstone is on CD:
-Accept quest, fly to Strat, run through instance, loot book, remove all gear (set up a gear-set/macro to make it one click), click the red "Help Request" button on the game menu, select character stuck , click "Teleport to Graveyard," then release spirit and run into the instance (GY is very close to the entrance), run back out, fly back to LHC.

One important part of doing this is that you do NOT need to reset the instance. While you won't see the quest indicator without a reset instance, the book will still be there and be lootable on your next runs in.

A round trip whitout clearing the instance takes about 7mins with 310% flying and no additional speed buffs.

Here's what i recommend:
Set hs at Light's hope chapel with hasty hearth you will be able to hs every two to three times.
Never reset the instance.

HIGHLY STRESS THE IMPORTANCE OF NOT RESTARTING THE INSTANCE!

As a DK this is an amazingly easy rep grind. (especially if you are lvl 85 with a 310% mount + On a Pale Horse talent and in Unholy Presence and in a guild with the 10% rep bonus)

1. Pick up quest and head to the Main Entrance to Strat
2. Clear trash and pick the book up from the table
3. Use Death Gate to return to Ebon Hold and fly down to Light's Hope
4. Turn in quest (don't forget to pick up the quest again)
5. Repeat until Exalted

* Be mindful too that if you take your time, you may run into the occasional re-spawn *

If you are planning on doing the 11 or so turn-ins all in one go, make sure you always accept the quest again after handing it in. Flying all the way there and running to the room, just to see that the book isn't sparkling isn't the most pleasant experience (even though it doesn't take that long).

Doing this quest as a shaman is also a piece of cake - get a book/favourite TV series/whatever, 문양: 영혼의 귀환 and it should take you like 2 min of waiting for 7.5 min Astral Recall cooldown at each run:)

It says 1,000 rep, but I received 2,200 I am guessing it is guild bonus related. Get your guild to level 25 and rep faster!

It took me 5 minutes and 46 seconds.

I was a hunter with 음속 돌파.

I had already cleared Stratholme, which means that I just ran to the book without fighting whatsoever.

I did not use a hearth stone to get the Light's Hope Chapel. I flew there from Stratholme.

Started stopwatch from when I accepted quest, to when I turned it in.

I used 치타 무리의 상 (30% speed boost).

It took me 5 minutes and 15 seconds.

I was a hunter with 음속 돌파.

I started Scholomance with all mobs present.

Without resetting the instance, the only respawn I ran into were the rats that spawn in the gates between King's Square and Market Row. It seemed to happen every other time I ran through.

I didn't kill them all and they decided to chase me and pull some of the mobs I had skipped killing. No problem at 85, but wasn't expecting to see the rats leading an undead army.
