the profession quests that grant skill points ARE repeatable, but would only grant skill points like once a week or so...

yep "5 skill points per faire week" according to the section titled "so you want to be in show-business" section on this Blizz site:

You need Light Parchment to do the actual inscribing. Keep 5 on you before you go to the faire.

One of the new patch 4.3 Darkmoon Faire profession quests, you must have at least 75 skill in Inscription to see this quest.

Requires 5 Light Parchment which cannot be bought on Darkmoon Island so remember to bring some with you.

The profession quests can only be completed once during each Darkmoon Faire and will grant 5 skill points.

The nearest vendors to the Darkmoon Faire portals are Kuruk (H), Innkeeper Farley (A) for the Moonberry Juice and Shadi Mistrunner (H), Tharynn Bouden (A) for all the other trade goods. You'll have to collect the fossil fragments yourself. If you forgot to bring your fishing rod with you, on Darkmoon Island sells fishing supplies.

As with all the Darkmoon Faire profession quests, you need a skill of 75 in that profession to be eligible for the quest.

Even if you done the primary profession quests that week, if you drop a profession during Darkmoon Faire week, you can do the quests for the profession that you pick up as well. Even rewarding the achievement Faire Favors without completing one of the secondary skill quests such as Archaeology or Fishing.

Possibly means that if your toon has no professions you could conceivably do the quest for every primary profession each month, awarding you with 36 Darkmoon Prize Tickets instead of just 8. (Assuming you're willing to get each profession to 75 and really really want the tickets right meow.)

You DO NOT use the Inscription Milling skill to actually mill the herbs. Simply right-click on them and they will "mill" themselves into Prophetic Ink.

My stock of written fortunes is running low and you look to have a steady hand. Take these herbs, make ink from them, and pen a few fortunes for me. You can get the parchment you'll need from any trade goods vendor in Elwynn Forest or Mulgore.]
