If you're an old person like me with slow reflexes and mediocre eyesight, turning on hostile nameplates will make the tiny chickens significantly larger targets to click on. The default keybinding is "V". Also, you can catch the chickens while mounted, so you can get a speed advantage over the little buggers, too.

Don't forget to use your net to stop them. When I first did this I ran around like a mad man trying to click on them.

I'd have to say that the most effective way to do this quest is just by being on your 100% mount and click on the chickens as you run next to them, using the net just seems as to much of a bother for me (easily done in 30 seconds if you are the only one there). Easy rep for your goal towards exalted.

For a druid with flight form this quest is friggin awesome, especially since you don't have to use the net. Therefore u don't even have to break out of bird form even once to finish this quest.

If you talk to Elder Harkek, he can assign Goregek the Gorilla Hunter, Dajik the Wasp Hunter, or Zepik the Gorloc Hunter to help you out. They'll throw their own nets, which can speed things up a bit.

Best WotlK daily, can be done in 30 seconds, and delivered in place, you don't need the net, just mount up and click on the chicken nameplates in melee range.

what I've noticed while doing this quest, is that after accepting the quest a large group of chickens will always pass you, get them in your net and you'll be about half way done in this first 10 seconds.

If you do the /chicken emote a large band of chickens will come towards you makes this quest incredibly easy and quick

real men don't use nets or nameplates - its much more fun charging round on your mount spam clicking the buggers

If, when you try to loot the chickens, you end up attacking them instead, make sure you are not in a raid group.

Happened to me today because a friend invited me to a group, and for some reason he converted to a raid then left. It took me trying another daily quest (after wasting 15 minutes with the chickens) and not getting any of those objectives completed to realise that I was in a 1-man raid group.

I am a lvl 80 ally Paladin. I wanted to complete this quest for the achievement Honorary Frenzyheart. When I went to Frenzyheart Hill and talked to Elder Harkek, he didn't offer me the daily. How can I get this daily so I can complete this for the achievement?

Funny thing happens on this quest, if you kill a chicken while the quest is active it allows you to loot it, nothing is on it though.

Easiest way ever:
- Enable Click-to-Move.
- Bind some key to the "Interact with Target" bidding, found under "Targetting Functions".
- Make a "/target Chicken" macro.
- Simply use the macro, and then press the interact with target key a few times until you get the chicken. Rinse and repeat. If you run out of chickens, just go close to the quest giver.

Something I noticed today, that won't change anything or matter much, is that clicking the chickens (the looting) will proc items that say things like "offensive spells will...". My Ashen Band was proccing along with the Black Magic on my weapon. I guess the loot command counts as an attack against them :P

Sholazar Basin Daily Quests
You will get daily quests from faction you are in friends with.
Each quest giver will give 1 random quest from their set every day.
Frenzyheart Champion and Hand of the Oracles are needed to start or switch factions in Sholazar.

The new (10.0) "Interact with Target" feature is your absolute best friend when doing this silly quest! Makes it super fast and easy to catch these dang birds!
