You can find bolders at roughly 67.12 and turn around and join the "friendly" giants at 69.14 or anywhere where they are standing and aim your boulder at workers down below. took a lil bit to figure out where to go but this worked best and easiest in the end.

Quest works fine. Just isn't that descriptive. Target a dwarf, throw rock at him. Repeat. Bit of a pain to go back and fetch a boulder each time though.

Best spot is the reaver at the start of the trench, in front of the bridge. Boulders won't kill them, so you can hit him over and over and he's close.

2 things worth noting

1) If you lose the "Giant" buff before you disrupt the 5 workers, you will have to abandon the quest and get it again. So don't fall down, or take longer than 10 mins.

2) The bolder is an AoE. So go for a group if you can (in my case there were some alliance questing down there and they rounded up 3 mobs, so I got credit for 3 in 1 throw).

Awesome quest tbh, you can actually damage other players with these things! I threw 2 on a Human Lock for a laugh and was surprised to see it actually did some damage to him.

It's fairly easy to fall off if you're not careful. You can throw the boulder on the same dwarf and you don't need to target one before you throw the rock.

The buff you get makes you (and your mount) huge. A gnome's elekk while under the effect of this buff takes up nearly the whole screen.

I found 70 11 a pretty handy spot for this one. Two rocks which respawn really fast and you can see and throw at the same dwarf five times in a row

People please if you want contibiute to this site by sending description of quests, do it the way that everyone can understand. Its very simple quest:
1. Pick up the quest
2. Go down hill where quest giver is and pick up Boulder's (stones which will be shining on the ground).
Notice here that you can pick up only one!
3. Go on the edge of trench where friendly giants throw stones into mine.
4. Target dwarf down below in mine and throw your boulder on him.
5.Go back for another Boulder and repeat another 4 times and go back to quest giver.

Druids...

I tried to pick up a boulder whilst in Swift Flight Form, I picked up a boulder, but was not credited with doing so. The upshot of this being that I had no boulder in my bags so I couldn't throw one, nor was I able to loot another. Had to drop the quest and get it again.

This was only in Swift Flight Form, not sure how the other shapeshift forms will act, just to pre warn you though..

Instead of running back and forth with the slow buff, you can mount up and travel faster without losing the buff or the boulder. Save some time and mount up between the pit and the boulder and visa versa.

I lost my buff when I had 4/5 because I fell, then I just picked a new boulder up and threw it at a dwarf and...ta-daa! :) No abandoning and starting all over!

Be sure to turn your view distance up.
I had mine at about 50% due to framerate issues, and ended up spending 20 minutes throwing boulders because I couldn't see the dwarves in the trench.

Make sure that you are targeting a dwarf with the boulders AOE because if you don't it won't register. I made the mistake of just tossing them down there anywhere and was wondering why I didn't get any credit.

Super quest to not complete if you wanna set a record at being largest scaled on Elekk mount or something. :P

You are scaled like 2x or 2.5x times -it's really cool! Combine it with Winterfal Firewater, Heroism and Mojo on your mount! ^_^

Coords of 70:12 worked well for me as a drop spot, w/a short run back to 70:11 to pick up the bolders. Close together w/ very little running back n forth - boulder respawn rate was pretty quick. Was aslo able to get multible "disruptions" per toss.

For those without a coordinate add on its the far north/northeast end of the trench.

Druids who have Flight Form and Cold Weather Flying: Be careful about flying over to the edge of the trench. I did that, got forced out of Flight Form (forces you back to NE/Tauren when you start to throw the boulder), and ended up falling into the trench because I was flying over the edge (I have bad depth perception sometimes...), so I had to make a corpse run back and fly out.

You easily can throw it from the top where you pick up the boulder. Another way you can do is pull five of them and kill them and then throw the boulder. Both way works.

To finish this quest quickly, you can gather five boulders and then throw them consecutively onto the same stationary dwarf and get credit all five times. There's no cooldown on throwing the boulders.

These are one of the rare instances where you don't have to wait for cast time to pick something up! In this case, the boulders.

EDIT: I have found out that you can actually throw the boulders while IN the open area. So just slow fall down (or fall on accident and reincarnate like me D:) and get east aim!

I just needed 1 boulder to complete this quest as a hunter ;) That because i accidentally felt down. So i used Eyes of the Beast, aggroed 5 of them, then left my pet in range of my boulder. Throw and run! :)

There is through, troll in newbie trolls village on bottom of durotar who can cast on you growth that will last there. Too bad i can't stack it with that giants growth (if it anyway would be even possible)...
There is nothing funnier than tauren on kodo who is bigger than org bank building :d (maybe except mage iceblocking on saph)

Summary strategy:

Pick up 5 boulders (click on link for location), then go stand at the edge of the canyon, near the Grizzly Hills Giants already throwing boulders and trees. 5 is the maximum you can carry at any one time (after that they're not sparkly anymore), so make sure you get credit with each of your boulders or you'll have to run around and find another one.

"Use" the items in your inventory and place the AoE destination circle on one of the dwarves in the bottom of the canyon.

You do not have to target them before throwing the boulder if you want credit. This may help you see where you're throwing (if you have low graphics and need to see a red circle on the mob), but does not affect whether or not you get credit for disrupting an Iron Dwarf operation.

You will get credit if you throw a boulder at a dead dwarf. Apparently they have operations going on beyond the grave which we can disrupt!

You cannot disrupt Iron Thane Argrum's work, so don't waste a boulder on him. You will get to kill him later in this quest line, but he's worthless for this quest. You must aim at either a Rune Reaver or an Iron Rune-Shaper. The Dwarves don't die when you disrupt them with a boulder, so you can get credit for disrupting the same dwarf's operations 5 times in a row, as fast as you can throw the boulders. I recommend binding your Boulders to a hotkey temporarily and just spamming it one one dwarf 5 times. You'll be done faster than you think.

You do not have to have the buff (Gift of the Giants) active to get credit either, but being double size is fun, and can be quite refreshing if you're used to running around as a gnome all the time ;P So if you lose it by right-clicking it, going too far away, or running out of time, don't worry. Just keep going, and then return to Kurun when you're done!

I had the debuff and threw 1 boulder, then I fell in and got out alive but then tried to run away from a golem but after a while I just thought "forgetaboutit" and went back to the boulder throwing place but the buff went away so I threw a boulder and then the mob I threw it at got "The Gift of the Giants".
EDIT:Actually, everything I target get the buff.

You have to throw the boulders down into the city.

Make sure you hit the NPC's to get credit. You will not get credit for missing these npc's. You will not get credit for hitting Iron Thane Agrum

If you hearth, the buff will dissapear. I found out the hard way.

First of all, as mentioned earlier, the Buff is not necessary. Besides it significantly reduces your run speed, but anyways that's not the point :)

When you pick up the quest, go for the firendly giants and look for boulders, shining rocks. You can pick them up to 5. After picking up 5 boulders, there will be no more sparkles around.

There are more boulders where the friendly giants throwing rocks to enemy giants. That area has more boulders. Thus my advice is to hump in your flying mount, fly over the mines and collect your boulders at that area.

For completing the quest, all you have to do is to throw boulders down into the mine; BUT not randomly. Throw them right onto the mining dwarfs. And you will be fine.

You can target the same mob for all five hits. Just send the rock down. By time he's "disrupted" you are ready again. Just target the same guy.

The quest-giver is looking south, down into the "city" of the iron dwarves. The ravine to throw the boulders into, however, is behind him... about 30 yards to the north. The boulders are along the stretch of land between the quest giver and the trench, and though they don't say unique, you can only carry 1 at a time. Aim for the dwarves down there, those are who you're interrupting.

If you can AoE up some mobs pretty easily, just gather the pack up at the entrance, about 5-6 of them, then AoE them down, fly up, throw one boulder on the dead pile. You get credit for all 5. It's significantly faster and no aiming involved.

Kurun on the hill overlooking Thor Modan wants you to disrupt the iron dwarves' work by throwing boulders into the exposed area of Thor Modan.

Descrizione

Beneath us is iron's ancient bastion, Thor Modan. Thousands of years ago, the stone giants tore the land asunder, collapsing part of the city and exposing much of the rest.

Even now, the iron dwarves attempt to reclaim their old capital, but we will not permit it. My giants fill the trench with boulders and debris, hoping to seal it off and kill the servants of iron as they work. Take up the boulders you see near the trench to the northeast, and help us put an end to their efforts.
