Beware of ninjas. Twice the spawn was tapped by a player sitting on the sidelines waiting for me to kill the rune-weavers. I'd recommend pulling three to start, then drop a healthy amount of AoE right before finishing off the fourth.

This quest totally sucks as well as other ones in this area. Those runed giants are everywhere and may spawn right beside you. I got killed at least 5 times. WTF?

A good way to avoid the runed giants is to either fight the dwarves in their exact place around the circle, thus keeping you out of aggro range of the other three, or just aggro all four and keep them right in the middle of their rune circle.* The giants all path around them, and you usually don't have to worry about them unless one of the overseers hits you with a knockback right into one.

* This probably won't work for any of the more squishy classes, or those that require ranged DPS. Sorry, I'm going off what I know.

A very easy quest i only had one out of 4 that actually threw a punch it hit me a fair distance back but lucky enough i didn't pull the giant elite that was right behind me!

Before you start the fighting, please take a distance and watch how the runed giants walks, disappears and respawned.
If you know how they do, you can fight with more care and you can avoid runed giants more easier.

All giants walks own paths, just take good look at the giants walking paths.

I start at south one (78,43): 2 walking giants at both sides. Fight very carefully and i walk left to right to avoid both giants.
Next one to north (74,37) is easier with one giant. Can go around clock counterwise. Not very troublesome.
More north (72,34) has 2 giants near and one prowler is very near. At south side seems more safe. Fight fast and pull them to you. One giant spawnpoint is a little to east, look out.
Now to northwest (68,28) is another place. Two giant spawnpoints are very near, better not stay there. Safe place is the chopped off wood and stone, little east from the place. Sometimes a prowler can walk too near the place.

The problem I had with this, was trying to kill Durval. A giant would spawn on me every time I started rounding up the mobs.

The easiest way I have found to complete this quest is to land my flying mount (you do have one by now, right?) in the center of the circle, and then pull each iron rune-weaver in for dispatching. That avoids the patrolling elites, and you only have to deal with the occasional prowler who wanders too close to the circle. Melee classes at a level high enough to not immediately draw aggro should be able to do this, and similarly leveled ranged classes who have a tanking pet. I have used this strategy for a DK and a DemoLock. Even without a flying mount you can take out one rune-weaver and then run to the center of the circle to take care of the remainder. Just be ready when the final mob spawns immediately after rune-weaver #4 dies.

Gavrock, at the Ruins of Tethys, wants you to neutralize the four Runes of Compulsion by defeating Overseer Durval, Overseer Korgan, Overseer Lochli, and Overseer Brunon.

Descrizione

Even as Kurun attacks Thor Modan, the iron dwarves work their magics against our brothers. Summoning our brothers from the earth, then binding them with runes, the sons of iron force them to war against the children of stone.

Along the Eastwind Shore, they use runes of compulsion to send enslaved giants to the battlefields of the north.

Find the four runes of compulsion and force their overseers to appear by defeating the rune-weavers who man each rune. Without the overseers, the runes are useless.
