For those who are hoping for a cheap item that lets them become a worg/wolf/mongrel any time they like, think again. As FearSucks said above, if you try using it outside of Howling Fjord it will tell you that you need to use it inside of Howling Fjord.

Flip side? If you are already transformed and attempt to exit the zone, it will unbuff the transformation with a big *!pop!*. So just complete the quest and turn it in...save yourself the hassle (unless you plan to live in HF forever..).

for those without addons it's in a cave north of the Apothecary Camp in the snow, east from the road. Not far from the road.

From my dreams, I know that Ulfang is in a cave on the snowy northwestern edge of the Rivenwood.

He is in great danger.

I have devised a magical disguise that will make you appear as a worg while you are within the Rivenwood. The disguise is weak, relying upon the strange magics of that haunted wood. While it will only convince the worgs, it will allow you to get close to Ulfang.

Please, <class>, find and help him.
