Scattered around Uldum are small click-able camel statues called "Mysterious Camel Figurine". If you click on one you will get teleported to the Steam Pools, which, if you havent gone exploring yet, are located on a plateau in the south eastern part of Feralas. Once you swim out of the water you will see lots of docile, but kill-able (wont fight back) camels that don't drop anything. You will also see Dormus.

You will get a debuff that is called "Dormus rage" which says bad things will happen in 20 mins if you don't kill Dormus.

Hes got about 250khp and was super super easy to kill as a heroic geared 85 MM hunter. I kept heals rolling on my pet but i never saw my pets hp move. Just move out of the things he spits at you.

I got this late last night... I got the Reins for the Grey Camel.

However, it wasn't purchased or anything... I was actually questing with friends in Uldum (we were doing some serious pushing, I was on-track for server first 85 priest...) and was randomly ported. I cannot remember where, but I know it was just north of Silithus.

I was given a 20 minute debuff with along the lines of 'Soandso camel hoarder/herder will retreat in 20 minutes. Good luck!"

As a shadow priest, and I was currently 83, I took him down solo (though it was starting to look pretty hairy at the end of the encounter!... and he dropped the Reigns of the Grey Riding Camel.

Pretty nifty. The camel looks right at home in all the desert/oasis-themed zones. Sadly, I've not used him much because.... flying is faster while you're questing, and unfortunately this bugger can't magically fly like my Headless Horseman's mount! (However, if it did... I probably wouldn't use any other mount!)

I got this mount after 6 quests in Uldum. I was barley honored, found the mini camel and my first one i was teleported to the boss. downed him in BM spec, lvl 83 hunter. Healed my pet with mend pet and used aspect of the fox to run around and dps, because he shoots out a white blob that damages you throughout the fight

feat of strength was earned too.. One hump or two !

was in uldum pretty much all day finishing off quests and looking for this, didn't find a single figurine and i was spamming a target macro the whole time i was there :S does anyone know if the phases affect it? i've done all the uldum chain now, was about halfway through when i started looking and i still can't find any figurine, my server is pretty empty too and i doubt many people know about this thing so i don't think that someone found it before me, after literally the whole day in uldum surely i should've seen one? :/

Since the Mysterious Camel Figurine is an NPC, I would suggest those specifically looking for this mount use NPCscan (addon) and add a custom ID.
The NPC ID you want to add is 50409

I have spent over 3 hours now searching the entire Uldum map for this figurine that everyone here says is suppose to be targetable. If it has a small chance in porting you and a huge chance in giving you just dust. why isnt there a ton of them around or somewhat a good number. Not even ONE. how that one guy found it in 10m is probably pure luck. Soon as I find it im taking a picture of it and posting it here. Please if anyone has any stragedy please post it. thanks

EDIT: 4 hours now searching and I can confirm that I have completely searched uldum entirely and have not found one figureine. Its possible that its on a spawn timer. A very long one. IF you can confirm finding two within a good amount of time please post. Other than that i seriously doubt this exists

IF you're going to bother flying to the steam pools... don't bother there is nothing there, just so as you don't waste your time. It must be phased.

I got one of these today while I was circling around from a tol'vir dig. The figure was under some trees on the north end of the Ahkenet Fields, about 50,51. The camel figure itself is RIDICULOUSLY tiny, plus it was hidden in some bushes so without NPCscan (and then mind vision), I probably wouldn't've seen it. I highly recommend using a mod, unless you want to seriously be mashing a target macro CONSTANTLY. The NPC number that went off for me is 50409, although most people are reporting 50410. It could be that one is the "dud" and one is the "will port you" ID. Here is my NPC scan list, so you can see it was actually 409, not 410 that got cached

The boss himself is elite, with about 270k hp. I have to admit, I forget what level he was. He does a basic melee "camel smash" attack about every 1-2 seconds, for about 1.5 - 2k on cloth. Plus a ground AOE "camel spit" type thing that does nature damage, so move out of it.

Psychic scream and psychic horror had no affect on him, so I don't know how well other abilities like stuns, snares, and roots will work. Be careful with any aoes, I accidentally hit a nearby camel when I first tried psychic scream, and adding one into the battle didn't make it impossible, but it is a hassle.

Lastly, when you get up there, you get a 20 minute debuff called "Dormus' Rage", which states that he will flee when the time is up, and indeed, all the camels despawned (or more likely, phased out) when the time ran out. So that's your kill time I guess. It really shouldn't take that long. I don't know where you end up if you die to him though.

You have 20 minutes to kill him, I was hesitant looking at his HP but it was very easy.

The guy stands tall amongst the swamp, and the place is littered with lost camels. He has a staggering 275k (?) HP but more than likely can be easily solo-ed by just about anyone in any spec. If you took into account the debuff present on you my guess is that you wouldn't be able to bring help anyway because you are phased.

85 rogue with just recuperate running and I never fell below 95%, to describe how easy it is to kill this guy.

You'll get ported to a space between Feralas and Un'goro, you may want to have a hearth ready but my guess is if you do get ported here you'd be too happy to care if you have a 30 minutes wait.

Here i find figurene with id 50409 (screenshot with id in npcsca), then i was teleoported to kill Dormus the Camel Hoarderscreen (screenshot before start combat) and last screenshot with me and mount.

I was in uldum, i logged in at 2:50 a.m. and i found the figurine with the np scan addon and i was like wtf is that then i clicked on it and it ported me to the dude who gave me the mount haha i didnt know it was a 5% chance i guess i was lucky, good luck to everyone getting the mount :)

I just got mine 30 mins ago, I followed advice given above. NPC scan, and flew around for a total of 3 hours. NPC scan alert went off. It is very small it took me a sec to find it after the alert went off. Dormus was a easy kill for me. 85 Sur Hunter. Just stay out of the stuff he throws on the floor. The 20 mins is more the enough time. Happy Hunting!

When i heard about this statue, i started searching. I think i started last weekend, and so far i've found 1, which turned to dust. Several hours of searching, and it turned to dust xD
As Twistedtwilight says :Time-Lost Camel.
I just 10 months on finding Time-Lost Proto-Drake, and now looking for Aeonaxx. I had breaks from searching tho, i didn't like to fly around the same place all the time.
If i have to wait 10 months to get this camel, i will do that. I just want it!:D
If i find it, my guild have the 15 minute cooldown on Heartstone;)

Btw you can use NPC_Scan so you don't have to use a macro. The ID of the camel is already in the database, you just need to download NPC_Scan, then you can auto-fly around and relax(;

ok Ive been searching for days this is day 7 now I have npc_scanner and have the proper id's in for 50409
50410 I have found armigedillo with npc scanner . Im on my hunter and I have used npc scanner befor to help me find rare pets so I do know how to use this and its working ..7 days and no camel figurine What gives?

Another question my dark night has completed all quest here in uldum and seems to be in a diffrent zone. Can he still find these I have used him to search as well cause he has minning abd still nothing with him. my hunter hasnt done all the quest thats why im searching with him now.

any info would be great thanks

ok 8 days I finally found one . It turned into dust :( But now I know I can find them. even after npc went off still took me about 3 minutes to locate it even targeting it. They r very tiny ! good luck to you all !

Gray......seriously Gray?
as a rare mount, u have to go through lots of troble to get this, rare spawn of Mysterious Camel Fifurine that spawn only once after few hours, and low spawn rate of the "real" camel that will port you to the steam pools to face the rare mob Dormus the Camel Hoarder, which u have 20min to kill it before it despawn. and all we can get is a camel with GRAY color? nice work blizz, you can do better then this, like put the "cow" color, black n white skin.

Wandering around near the giant frozen NPC where you are confronted by schnottz (he's in an air balloon) for the coffer of promise quest. Was on the left side up the stairs in a pile of random vases and stuff.

This is the first figurine I have ever found, and I had no assistance from a mod or a macro/command. Just my crazy luck! :)

I found the statue in Schnottz's Landing earlier today, at first having no clue what it was NPCscan was alerting me about. Clicked on it, ended up in front of the giant with his fists full of camels. I could hardly fight him for laughing as he squeezed the camels to make them spit at me.

Anyway, the gray camel is a major hoot, plus I feel like I just won the WoW lottery, given how uncommon this mount apparently is.

I got this today at about 1:20am server time on Shattered Hand while looking for herbs. I found the figurine on the side of the Ruins of Ammon that faces Schnottz's Landing. At first I thought that the horde who was also there had already looted it as the little buggers are so tiny and very hard to see even with a mark over their heads. I was going to give up and log to horde to see if the hunter had indeed looted it when I decided to check one more time and ta da! camel figurine. When you loot it - and it's the rare one that teleports you - you will be put into a whirlwind and then appear above Feralas.

I killed him easily on a level 85 feral cat druid with a 346 item level.

As many people have mentioned to me in the very short time that I've had the mount, it really doesn't look any different from the other camels. I wish Blizz would do something to make this one stand out a little more. I have the Time Lost Proto on my pally and like the looks of it because it's different. It would be nice if this one didn't look exactly like the other camels when standing in a crowd.

I wasn't even looking for the camel... just trying to level my priest when NPC scan went off at Orsis. Clicked on the camel to get my 25g and wouldn't you know it I was ported to the secret camel level.

Pretty easy kill even though he's an 85 elite. My priest was only 83 at the time with an iLevel of 310.

After days of farming,doing all the Uldum quests and few more days farming got the camel on my 2nd figurine :o)

Found it on the flat roof of 1 of the 3 closely grouped buildings by the sheep at the north end of the Akhenet Fields (cords 51.51) around 1.30am.

I am back, for another post on a rare mount farming expedition!

I've found Time-Lost Proto-Drake (took me year, but got it the day the Celestial Steed came out), got Aeonaxx after 2 months of farming & missing him 6 times, and as of today, I've finally found Mysterious Camel Figurine #50409!

From farming this, I've noticed that every figurine I've found, I found pretty much ON THE HOUR. I have found 9 false figurines, and 10 was the lucky one. Once, I found 2 in a day, and they were 8 hours apart.

I tried map notes, but that was dumb. I used tomtom, but I have a visual memory and plus tomtom sends you back and forth, and not in a great route. So, I just did my own route, covering all spots.

Here is my BEST advice to you, for people using NPCScan. Do NOT track other rares in the zone. Because, you will get a heart attack from the sound, over nothing. False alarms aren't worth the excitement. For this particular farm, I had the /tar macro for the false camels (it could pick up the real one), and I only had NPCScan tracking #50409. So, that way, if NPCScan went off, I knew what I had found.

This will save you from getting let down and disappointed. So, untrack Madexx, Cyrus the Black (or whatever his name is), Armagedillo (spelling?), and Mysterious Camel Figurine #50410. You can see the other rares if you have their health bars turned on. Kill them so it immediately allows another rare to be able to spawn. As with ALL rares, only so many can be up at once, so you need to kill them in order to allow the others a chance to spawn.

TL;DR: For those using NPCScan, don't track any rare in Uldum, except #50409. Use the /tar method for finding the fakes, and save yourself the strain on your finger by only spamming it near the known spawn points. If you do this, NPCScan will go off on the correct camel figurine, and that's it. Easy stuff. Your excitement from being startled, will be worth it.

Also remember that, EVERY figurine I have found, has been on the hour, or a couple minutes after (due to my being patrolling and on the other half of the zone). I did not find any figurines in any new spots, they were all previously known spots. And if anyone is asking, I found #50409 at .

I had someone before camp this thing for over a month before he got it. Soon after I began to look for these damn statues and kept a daily log on dates, spawn points and times. Admittedly, I had a hard time finding data on this thing; and rightfully so, as I soon found out no spawn times are always consistent day to day. This is not to say it wont show up at the same times for a short span of time but there is always variation!
What I found for my data was that when the first camel statue was found in the day 7.5-9hrs later another would spawn. It wasn't until the first statue was selected that the timer would "start". I think this is where you get the variation when it comes to the statue respawn times being off sometimes. It took awhile before I realized that there are two statues that spawn in a single day. I didn't assume this until I put it to the test and found a lot of support for this theory. For eight days it seemed to hold true with one statue spawning in the am hrs and the second in the pm. But, I was nearly thrown off when the times switched and one spawned at 12:10pm and the other at 8pm server time. Regardless, the timer being 7.5-9 was so consistent that I literally would get a statue before work and after work until I got the portal.
I know it may seem better to keep the real npc id on your scanner and scrap the fake id; but please remember that it's better to keep track of when the real statue may spawn. On a final note, these statues can no longer be targeted! So please don't use a target marco and get npc scan and clear your cache!

Must be my lucky day today. Got Time-Lost Proto Drake in Storm Peaks, and then did a lap around Uldum, and got Dormus on a statue I found when NPCScan went off. Keep trying guys and gals!

Wasn't really a challenge on medium populated server, all you need is patience. Just patrol Uldum 2-3 times a day (especially before going to sleep and when you get up), takes around 8 min each. I used http://img809.imageshack.us/img809/6656/uldummap.jpg (not made by me).

- only ONE camel can be up at one time so don't bother finishing route
- respawn 6-24h (I found up to 3 camels within 16 hours and the 3rd was lucky one!)
- they are always near tree/wall/object/on little hill so check all corners when _NPC goes off
- once you find real one, you have 20 min to finish him off, if you logout you lose debuff. Possible to sell if you manage to find buyer in that time and kill mob when he is near and in the party

As you can see it doesn't take much time and effort (not after 6 months of release anyway), good luck.

Found out today that if you are in a group with someone who gets teleported to the boss, used group summon to summon another person out there, even though you aren't phased in with the person killing dormus YOU CAN TRADE THE REINS to whoever was in your group. My boyfriend saved his life with this trick earlier.

This encounter is apparently sometimes bugged. I found my third figurine today, and when I clicked it, it did not turn into dust, and I received the "Dormus' Rage" debuff...but I was not transported. After filling out a ticket and waiting around for ten minutes, I finally decided to fly out to the Steam Pools in Feralas to see if Dormus was there. He was! I defeated him and got my camel. I'm honestly not sure what would happen if someone else had come across him first--I did not check to see if it was a phased encounter.

So if for some reason you are given the debuff but not transported to Dormus, go ahead and fly out to him. You'll have time to get to him and still get your mount.

What I want to know is why is this mount spelled "Grey" riding camel while for an example Gray Elekk and Gray Ram are spelled "Gray" (that includes all other items that include the colour gray in their name.)

Just to clarify, those little dog-shaped figurines that are dotted around the ruins east of Schnotzz' landing are NOT Mysterious Camel Figurines, but rather an item for a quest. The figurine itself is the size of those dog figurines, only shaped like a camel.

I found mine near a building in Schnotzz' place. It was about the size of a mouse (as in the critter) and is kind of shiny. I do really recommend using NPCscan for it, though.

Got myself and a friend a Grey Riding Camel this week. Seriously all you need are two addons 1) NPCscan and 2) Tomtom. For Tomtom you want to make 5 macros with all the spawn location cords, you can copy/paste them below (Thanks Badzoot) :) Before your route click all 5 addons, this will create spawn location pins on your world map and mini map for a thorough search. When my NPCscan went off I noticed a Druid frantically searching for the figurine as well, but I had the upper hand knowing exactly where the spawns were and got the spoils :) So it's a great tool to have. I found my 50409 on my 4th figurine, got bored 2 days later, made a round and found ANOTHER 50409 for my friend on the 5th. Hope this helps! GL everyone!

Tip: Don't beat yourself up making countless circles around Uldum for hours. Make a single round every couple of hours. If you're meant to be a Camel-Hoarder it will come :)

Edit: Also noticed in a video guide that you can press V to bring up name plates to find this little bugger as well. Not sure if it's Critters or Friendly NPCs or if it even works anymore... So try that : /

For anyone that is having trouble finding figurines:

THEY ARE AFFECTED BY PHASING!

I decided to go for this on a character that is exalted with Ramkahen but had done almost no quests on...just enough to break out of the initial prison and hit friendly for a tabard. I had NPCscan running and after 20+ hours of searching over the course of 6 days, the bells and whistles finally went off, but I couldn't find the actual figurine anywhere.

I paged a GM and he confirmed that my issue was not simply one of bad luck, but phasing. He could not confirm which part of the Ramkahen quest series unphases the figurines, just that they are affected by phasing and that the only way to ensure I can see them is to give in and do all of the quests, thus completely unphasing the zone.

I'm not sure if I'm even going to bother with this now >.<

Yaay I just got mine the other day. I can tell you, when you click the figurine and suddenly get enveloped in a cyclone, it had to be one of the best feelings in the game! What made it even better was that I wasn't expecting it at all (I was just preparing to loot the dust).

The only other moment that compared to this was when I found Poseidus - so yeah it's definately worth the hunt!

Shift+V (ie friendly nameplates enabled) is your friend. I seen many stumbling around trying to find a figure post 4.1 with them no longer targetable. But they still have huge name plates if you turn friendly unit name plates on. THAT is your secret weapon in beating the other guy to finding one faster. I found a real camel figure the other day, swept right in from sky and clicked it instantly, with a guy who apparently had been looking for it for 2 min well before i landed. He was all like .... and i told him, shift-v, and he face palmed.

EDIT, also now that addons using cache are long gone, nameplates are only way to detect rares, fortunately rare scanning mods can SCAN nameplates.

In addition you can increase the range you see nameplates as high as 100. This is done via a hidden cvar easiest way to access that and other useful nameplate options is to install Advanced Interface Options (addon) go to nameplates and increase them to 100, hoozah. Now your silver dragon or npcscan will fire off for camel figures within 100 yards while friendly nameplates are turned on.

The only one you need to remove is Creaturecache.mdb. Nothing bad will happen if you delete the whole directory, though. It's one of the useless things they tell you to do when you're having a problem.

I created a batch file to delete it whenever I started wow. Just copy this into the same folder as creaturecache.mdb:
For Win7:

del creaturecache.wdb
"C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft\launcher.exe"

For XP:

del creaturecache.wdb
C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\launcher.exe

It will delete the file, then start WoW. Whenever the game is updated it will be deleted, so keep a copy somewhere.

Finally i got the mount, It took me 22 camels to get teleported to feralas. Found the last camel at 40,49 in Uldum. Good luck to all who farming it. Be patience and you will get it :)

Decided to go mining today and stumbled my 2nd one.Used the guild perk to port a friend out to see if they could get the mount since I had gotten mine the day before. When you port someone there using the guild perk they cannot see Dormus or even roll on the mount, however you CAN trade it to them. So if you find a second one don't be afraid to share with a friend or guild mate!

Am I understanding this correctly ?
You can reset it and have others join you and kill him and get the mount aswell ?
Some one stated that he sold 5 within the 20 min the buff stays, how would you go about doing that ?
Do you get ported out to the same spot where you innatialy found the statue and you can port back in after using reset ?
Not sure I got this correct, if you know .. please do explain :)

I got my camel today i was looking all last night and just logged this morning and POOF there it was.. i opened it and killed the guy :) i was 83 so i was &*!@ting it in case i died.. but i got hit down soon enough :D

I have...odd luck. I've been hunting TLPD for over a year, without luck. Today was farming ore on an alt for the guild, and NPC scan goes off.

I spent 20 mins trying to find the figure, and then finally manage. Then, in a feat that REALLY pushed my luck, I swapped to my main, flew to Uld from SW, and managed to nab the figure before anyone else found it. All in all, it took me 30 mins to find/click on the figure, and all of 3 to beat the guy.

One thing I found, not sure if it's Sandstone drake only, but I was on my sandstone drake when I clicked it, and stayed in dragon form after I was ported. Which means I didn't need to worry about death by falling. I've heard a few people having that issue, so it may work for other flying mounts.

Also, this occurred around 2:15 server time, as I was mining a node which I realized was not more then 10 yards from where the camel was. So it spawned at about 2:15 server, since it spawned AS I was mining. So it definitely dose NOT spawn on the top of the hour only.

Located one today using both Gathermate2 and Npcscan in the northern left corner of the map along the stream of water. Took about 20 mins to find it in the bushes though, and the cast was delayed it seemed, it turned to dust or disappeared and when I went to mount my Char couldn't move and BAM! I got teleported :) Happy hunting everyone :P

After a solid year of circling Uldum and 46 camel figurines. (Yes I said 46) I got this ugly mount and title. I hate Blizz's RNG!

Found it today, 11.20 GMT on Burning Steppes, south of the Ruins of Ammon, on the "block" in the sea. I found most of the camel figurines at these ruins, probably because they are not on the typically used mining routes. It was my 13th camel overall, so I didn't expect much when NPC-scan went off. I was pretty psyched when I found myself in a whirlwind, I can tell you that!

As a protadin, Dormus was cake. 217k elites just don't cut it anymore with patch 4.3. Got the mount, the title (which, let's face it, is the main reason to get the camel...), and afterwards I flew back to Uldum and mined my first Elementium Geode! Suck it RNG!

Anyway, you really want this mount? Look outside of mining routes, and switch to a low pop server. ;-)

I have been hoping to encounter a camel figurine for ages, ever since the second week of Cataclysm when I was done leveling. I have been doing daily stuff in Uldum, such as Archaeology and dailies or world pvp. I have not once even encountered a single figurine. Whenever npc-scan has popped, it's been for Armagedillo or Madexx. So I gave up hope.

Yesterday I was travelling on auto-fly whilst talking to a friend, and thanks to this I came across a small hut of sorts on top of a cliff, where the quest mob Twizzleflux the Insane stands. Not a single camel around, mind you. Suddenly the npc-scan alerted me of a mysterious camel figurine, and I flew inside in a state of panic. There it was, a TINY little figurine, and I clicked it, expecting dust, but to my great surprise the whirlwind appeared and I was transported to the area with the boss.

The boss was very easy, despite my slight panic. I had a dps pet and it took barely any damage, and 1 minute later I was the happy owner of this grey Camel and a title that's a lot of fun. Too bad that now that I have it, I'll want the white Riding Camel as well...hope they implement it.

I was land fishing in Uldum when I tripped over a camel statue, and now I proudly hoard camels =D. Now if only I could get my scepter or pet hand...

If another person in your group is close enough to you when you kill Dormus, even though they are not in the same phase, they can still have the mount traded to them or master looted to them.

NPC Scan users take note, I renamed the 'winning' camel to 'Cameltoe' in NPC scan thinking NPC scan would show the name I used in the alert, so I could tell the difference between 09 and 10 and how much to care about looking for it.

I got the alarm yesterday for 'Mysterious Camel Figurine' and barely cared, I was about to leave. I just noted the spawn time and casually looked for the 25G but I didn't care too much if I didn't find it. I never found the previous two.

I turned nameplates on and flew around all the nearby spawns for about 10 minutes for the heck of it, just to find the spawn point for later. I almost gave up thinking it wasn't there then finally found it. I clicked and thought, 'Wait a minute, this isn't the same animation...' as a tornado wrapped around me. 3 minutes later I had a camel mount. It was the 7th time my NPC scan went off, the 5th camel I found.

My advice is to keep the cache cleared and hunt down everything.

After a week of making my routine sweeps around Uldum for the statues, I finally came upon the real deal. It was the spawn located in the southern section of The Ruins Of Ammon. Used npc_scan and TomTom (with the coord macros posted by Spawwn in an earlier comment) and just kept at it. Only came upon one other statue in my sweeps and of course it was one that turned to dust. To everyone still looking, keep at it and you'll eventually be the owner of this awesome mount and great title.

As for the fight itself, I was so excited I blew all my CD's on the guy as a geared 85 ret pal and just obliterated him in seconds (serves him right for making me waste hours of my life flying in circles on a virtual map)

*With npc_scan - If you find a statue that turns to dust, remember to CLEAR YOUR CACHE right after or npc_scan will not be able to alert you of another spawn of that npc ID. Some people say it is only one or the other npc ID is the "real" statue, but it is much better to be safe than sorry and just clear your cache after every sighting*

Just got mine on US-Medivh (Horde), around midnight EST.
Only the 2nd camel figurine I've found since I started looking two days ago...I'm currently camping Aeonaxx to see if the RNG's favor is continuing, but it has not so far.

Hi, Im shadowtree from Blackrock US. I found 2 figurine yet... When I clicked the first one «BAM» teleported to dormus... He died under 10s.. Lol .. My second? When I found it my brother was online so I was like, Lets give him... When He clicked it He got teleported to dormus.. That Was 1month after mine. Got mine january 27th 2012 and my brother (Molicia) february 27th 2012. 1 month after mine.. well I just need the white camel from tombs of forgotten and im The best camel-hoarder in blackrock ! eh :D.! Good luck everyone .. the feeling of finding this /poseidus/aeonax/time-lost proto drake is awesome! Im in a big server ... Pop:High. Almost no one is farming it.. Just do a daily route each day and ull find one for sure..

I had been searching off and on for months and never found a single camel. Looked here at everyones comments again and decided to follow Spawwns suggestion above about using macros to create Tom Tom waypoints and NPCScan to alert you when either of the grey mysterious camel figurines were close by.

It took me a couple days of regularly flying the path through the waypoints at random times during the day, but still never found one. Then this morning, I was flying around and about 6:45 AM server time my NPCScan alarm went off. I wasn't flying particularly close to the ground, but once I flew down I could see the figurine nestled next to one of the carts. Not having actually seen one before and from everyone's commetns I expected it to be absolutely tiny. It wasn't - it's about the same size as the statues that are over by the Ruins of Ammon. But, if I hadn't had NPCScan alerting me, I would easily have missed it.

For everyone that keeps looking for it, they are out there. Just keep trying at different times of the day and you will eventually get one.

I've been farming Tol'vir archaeology for a few days. I run NPCScan all of the time just in case and clear my cache regularly. During the morning of my third day, probably 26th hour, farming for Tol'Vir (the pet) my NPCScan goes off with the 'Mysterious Camel Figurine'. I know what it is but I've never seen one before on NPCScan. So I alt+tab out and do some research after flying around looking for it for 10 minutes to no avail.

After grabbing TomTom coordinates of all the spawns I do a few circuits then exit the game to clear my cache to see if it's still around. I login and go back to where it went off the first time. It goes off again, by now it's been at least 20 minutes since first it went off on NPCScan. Through my frantic Googling of things like 'mysterious camel locations' etc. I found that you could no longer /target it. After another 20 minutes of searching I found it under a tent in the far NW corner of Uldum. Clicked it, teleported to the boss, killed him, and walked away with a new mount, FoS, and title.

Thanks, Tol'Vir archaeology, for having me at least get SOMETHING in your relentless onslaught of commons (200+ Tol'Vir solves atm). Cheers.

EDIT: The statue was ID# ending in 09.

Just a quick question?\. when your looking for this thing. does the usual sound go off when it appears? like fore the rare spawns? cuz ive been flying around and have gotton nothing both the ones that turn to dust or the rel one..
