The set bonus for the 2 items is very very nice. And that kind of stat regeneration on an item is awesome.

510 HP/5 / / 576 HP/5
85 MP/5 / / 96 MP/5
222 Spellpower / / 250 Spellpower

Heal value is 2269-2773 for 232 set, 2530-3092 for 245, and a single tick heal (unlike Forethought Talisman). The damaging effect is a dot however, and does 2862 and 3192 damage for the 232 and 245 sets respectively. I know nothing about any cooldown, but I would assume a 45 second cooldown.

Cauterizing Heal 10: Heals for 2269 to 2773.

Searing Flame 25: Causes 3192 Fire damage over 12 sec.
Searing Flame 10: Causes 2862 Fire damage over 12 sec.

just got this and shiny shard of the flame yesterday and ive never seen cauterizing heal proc yet. Is it bugged?

think of this as a drirect upgrade from forethougth+ids, going from 311 sp to 250 sp 96 mp5 and 100 hps on yourself. if you havent been able to get spark of hope or any other good mp5 spellpower trinkets this might work for you untill those drop

Any word on the IDC of the proc? I would assume a 45sec cooldown or something, which would make the proc pretty worthless, but if it has less of one, then it may be a nice healing trinket.

If it didn't have any cooldown, then it would pretty much be the most OP healing trinket in the game.

I can confirm after obtaining the set companion tonight that the cauterizing heal internal cooldown is 45s (shortest period between procs spamming chain heal on H Twins(25) was 50s). It accounted for 1% of my heal total.

Can you mix and match the trinkets between the 10 and 25 man versions? I just picked up the 25 man version of this trinket and I wonder which set bonus, if any, I would get if I had the 10 man trinket Shiny Shard of the Flame.

I don't think they would mix, the set bonus specifies the 10s and 25s be used to gether but I wondered if anyone has tried mixing 10 and 25.

I have been using this set for a few weeks now on my holy priest, and really looked into what the cauterizing heals do.

Was in TOGC yesterday. And was really sad about what Cauterizing hels did...

It healed for about 1.5% of my healing pool.

The real sad part is that it is in constant overheal, Skada reports that cauterizing heals was constantly between 60-70% overhealing......

So yeah HP5 and MP5 is great

As for Cauterizing Heals go............. will pass... it is NOT SMART at all, it is dumber than dumb lol

Personally I wouldn't QQ too much about the heal/damage from the set being low. Your already getting more h/mp5 and spellpower than pretty much any other pair of trinkets can give you. (Illustration of the Dragon Soul + Eye of the Broodmother wins for spellpower but has no mp5) Just look at it as the 'bonus' that it is.
