Confirmed also... he drops 4 trinkets that match the level 80 heroic emblem ones...

And procs appear to share same cooldown.

IMO, kinda lame for someone who already has that trinket.

This also is very similar to the trinket Embrace of the Spider that drops in Naxx. Although Embrace procs off any spell and the Eggs only proc of healing spells.

Does NOT stack with other similar trinkets like The Egg of Mortal Essence or Embrace of the Spider because all of these trinkets have the same proc which is Essence of Life

Got this on my newly 80 warlock alt, because no else in the party would use it. It procs off Life Tap, just like its Emblem counterpart. Very cool.

Trying to figure out how a Mage could use this solo, as it just dropped. Would Frostweave bandages trigger the proc? Or anything else?

Has anyone noticed that almost all of the new items from Coren are almost spoofs off of the original type of item? For example the Chromium Coaster could be interpreted as a mirror as many mirrors are round and shiny and the watch is an advanced form of a Sundial......lets not even begin on the Egg of Mortal Essence vs Ancient Pickled Egg....

A little trivia;
Pickled Egg is sold by Plugger Spazzring on the upper part of the Grim Guzzler.

I guess if you buy 5 eggs from him for 56 silver and wait a few decades maybe the eggs will turn into epic trinkets :D

Took this on my undergeared Warlock alt, as it was an upgrade over what I had and found out it procs off of Health Funnel (I'm Meta specced) and it may be proccing off of Fel Armor heals as well.
Drain life does not proc it.
Going to respec to Affliction and try to see if SL procs it.

EDIT: 10mins of Corruption spam and no proc off of SL heals. Haven't seen it proc off of Fel Armor either.

So for a fresh level 80 Warlock this is still a pretty nice trinket to have, as it will proc off of Life Tap and Health Funnel.

Even though you can't do the daily quest until level 75, you can still roll on the drops if you are lower level. I just went in with my 68 pally alt and 4 other guildies, they used their summons, I was able to loot this egg, the dodge trinket and a stam trinket.

Has any fellow shadow priest tested if this trinket procs from Vampiric Embrace? If so this could be pretty nice raiding trinket.

Does not proc from paldins Flash of Light.
However procs from the heal over time efect that Flash of Light has on target with Sacred Shield. Does proc from all other direct heals.

Seems to me that its just bugged.
100 FoLs wont proc it.
1-2 HL, HS, SS hots will.
Every time (limited by ICD).

This is dropped off Coren Direbrew as part of a daily quest during the Brewfest season. (as of 2009)

His complete loot table:
1st time you fight him, he will drop Direbrew's Dire Brew which you can turn into Ipfelkofer Ironkeg for 40 Brewfest Prize Tokens, then..

A) Guaranteed to drop one of these epic trinkets:
-Ancient Pickled Egg.
-Brawler's Souvenir.
-Mithril Pocketwatch.
-Coren's Chromium Coaster.
-Bitter Balebrew Charm.
-Bubbling Brightbrew Charm.

B) Lucky Groups have a slight chance to finding:
-Direbrew's Shanker 2.0.
-Direbrew's Remote.
-Tankard O' Terror.

C) Very Lucky groups have a slighter chance to finding:
-Swift Brewfest Ram.
-Great Brewfest Kodo.

Was on my alt druid who has both this and https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=39229.
I noticed it shares a cooldown with the emblem equivalent and assumed this would as well.

But the egg procs https://www.wowhead.com/cata/spell=60062, while the other procs https://www.wowhead.com/cata/spell=60490.

After some testing on a live server to be sure, they do NOT share a cooldown.
Just thought this might be useful, just in case anyone was wondering.

This item is possibly a reference to the Chinese dish known as the "century egg" or "thousand-year egg".

You take an egg, usually duck from what I understand, and put it in a special mixture of clay, ash, lime, and some other stuff for a few weeks (or months, depending on how exactly you're doing it). You can then add the egg, now a rubbery, jelly-like blob, to another dish, or eat it separately.

You know, if you like really old eggs, I guess.
