I think it would have made sense to have this glyph also remove the AoE-ness of the explosion at the end, akin to Blastwave knockback removal. This is primarily a raiding glyph, and that AoE explosion can really screw you over (hitting adds at the wrong time which aggro you or break CC).

Remove the aoe-ness? I hope you are joking. The more adds it hits the better, it gives a better chance for Hot Streak procs. Also, if you pull from a living bomb aoe either A: the tank is bad or B: you're bad because you either: did not cast living bomb on a different mob to keep the explosion from going off, or you forgot to Ice Block. This glyph will definately be used by every raiding mage that's FFB or FB spec.

I got this glyph today it came from the book of glyph mastery. I bought the book on the AH for 1000g clicked it and learned the glyph.

I have this Glyph now and at least at the moment the critical hits from the living bomb dot are not granting hot strike proc.I dont know if this is intended or not.

Ok just got this, due to the ignite procs this thing is godly. Would recomend MA glyph drop, a couple percent in crit does not even begin to compare to the increased damage of either FFB glyph or living bomb glyph. If only we could get Blizz to make hot streak proc off it mages would rule the world...of...warcraft.

Now this glyph is undoubtedly the highest DPS glyph for a fire mage, as LB tick crits can proc Hotstreak, pretty much doubling the chance of hotstreak on a single target. Combined that with Living bomb on an unlimited number of targets, you could have constant Hotstreaks in a fight like Yogg Saron. Oh, and it procs ignite for some mana restoration.

From a pvp perspective, this glyph is pretty darned awesome. Dotting a nelf druid right before they vanish+ff and watching their corpse rain from the sky can't be beat ;). The tics proc Ignite, so this glyph is a pretty big buff, making LB a DOT to be reckoned with.

While the periodic ticks do not proc Hot Streak, if you are fighting two+ people at once and have a decent amount of crit, the final explosion can crit the person you dotted, and if the damage it deals to any surrounding party members crits, hot streak will go proc. I find it's almost guaranteed.

My only quibble would be that in recent patches, other DOTs were simply given the ability to crit on tics, whereas fire mages still have to spend a valuable major glyph spot to achieve the same advantage.

The old Glyph of Living Bomb was turned into Glyph of Slow as of Patch 4.0.1, which is why all of the comments above are talking about Hotstreak, Living Bomb ticks, and other fire-based spells in relation to this glyph.

If anyone is curious, it used to read "The periodic damage from your Living Bomb can now be critical strikes."

In Mists of Pandaria this glyph has changed.

OLD: Glyph of Slow - Increases the range of your Slow spell by 5 yards.

NEW: Glyph of Slow - Your Arcane Blast spell applies the Slow spell to any target it damages if no target is currently affected by your Slow.
