I am 99.9999999% sure that just like the cloak enchant this will not be multiplied in Bear Form BUT just imagine if it was.

I'm going to make one tonight just to prove to myself that I am right. For the mats cost it probably should work in bear form because this is honestly kind of ridiculous. Do they really expect me to replace Agi with this?

I think this could be a decent enchant for like priests/locks for PVP. 240 armor is a significant amount for cloth wearers

Hmmm..

I think Bear armor multiplier make actually take this into account somehow..

tested with a pair of gloves i had put this on..

Armor without gloves on : 22,889

Armor with gloves on ( 183 AR base gloves, +240 from this ) = 24,164...

Difference of 1,275 Armor.. ( yes i have 3/3 thick hide too )

Armor w/ enhanced gloves : 25,320

diff of : 2,431 armor

2.4.2 patch notes (for the PTR) show the reagent cost being greatly reduced:
18 -> 4 x Heavy Knothide Leather
14 -> 3 x Primal Earth
1 Rune Thread (unchanged)

Obviously, there is chance that it won't go live, but clearly Blizzard intends to at this point.

According to the theory of effective health, and proven by some of the math above, for melee encounters this enchant is better than +10 stamina to gloves for warriors.

It is useless for magical encounters, which would probably denote a different pair of tanking gloves to start with. Stamina is king against magic damage (well, and resistance armor obviously).

This is THE tank enchant. The 2% threat is only useful if your hit rating is really bad. You should never be using stamina gems and enchants. Your gear comes loaded with stamina already and that costs you migitation/avoidance. Stacking heavy on stamina is for PVP where you dont always have a healer refilling you. Going stamina over avoidance/migitation makes you a healer drain as your just collecting more hits and for higher amounts then you otherwise would. You should be looking for resistance gear for spell fights, not stamina.

Ferals go with 15 agility
Warriors/Paladins go with 240 armor

Armor kits and enchants have always been added in after the multiplication bonus from Bear/Dire Bear forms. Part of the reason these seem to be getting a reduction in mats (aside from the initial cost being slightly ridiculous) is that they are decreasing in usefulness with the boosted armor values on newly released gear. Any bear tank with the 2.4 badge chest/pants/gloves will likely reach the armor cap for level 70 mobs (it's 35,888 for bosses). Despite being cheaper to get, 15 agi is still superior for druids in my opinion as it adds slightly over 1% dodge, a bit of crit (which both increases threat and the chance for bonus rage off a crit), as well as a touch of armor. Additionally, most raids have a pally or two and I end up with Blessing of Kings, which does nothing for the 240 armor.

100 Knothide leather scraps(or 20 kothide leather)

You dont need a recipe you just can buy it by a trainer.

I just want to point out that this is the best enchant for a feral druid tank at high levels of gear when below the armor cap or survival soft cap in ICC.

The armor enchant is the best (if under the armor cap, which most players are), because it is better to prevent damage than other things like having more health or threat.

While this "enchant" is great even at level 80, the above is false. Preventing damage is generally useful, but armor will only help against physical damage and thus will only reduce some of the incoming damage, making it impossible to make any blanket statements about "this much armor is worth this much health". Regarding threat, it doesn't matter how much armor or health you have if you can't hold aggro, since nothing is hitting you anyway. Causing much more threat than the highest DPS is wasted, however.

The blunt of damage taken in raids like ICC is physical, only real exceptions being fights like Sindragosa, maybe the Blood Council, perhaps the Lich King. And even in those fights the amount of physical damage shouldn't be ignored.

For a really magic-heavy fight, the Heavy Borean Armour Kit will be better than this enhancement, but as I pointed out, real magic-heavy fights are rare.

The only other option is +parry and +threat. Parry sucks. And most tanks don't need extra threat.

Ok this is realy weird, a lv 60 enchant is the best in slot enchant for 85 tanks, its actualy better then the 65 mastery one. this enchant shoud be realy insane on lv 60 since its still being used

You learn this from the LW trainer in Thrallmar or Honor Hold in Hellfire Peninsula.

I just trained all the new patterns that were added in the 2.3 patch.

Unfortunately, enchants don't work with the armor multiplier for druids..........

The only use I can think of for this armor patch, given its high cost to make, is for clothies who want a little extra armor for Arena.

This glove enchant is the best pvp cloth enchant in the game. 2% damage reduction is more useful, by far than 20+ spelldamage in pvp, Warlock's especially, usually get to play the role of ragdoll, and Mage's against teams that has Hunter's or other very hard hitting physical dps classes, that also can dispel your Frost Armor, this enchant is night and day.

These are hideously overpriced if you ask me... yes its nice for clothies in pvp I'd consider getting them on my lock but you could get + 10 stam with an armour kit for so so much less. If they give druids these it doesn't give the + 400% armour buff, I think i'd rather get the strength enchant than this. I personally am a leather worker and can't find anyone who wants to buy these!

I do feel a bit stupid for making one of these - i feel the primal earth would have been much better spent for leveling up making heavy clefthoof boots or something that way with the mats i have i could have gone up 3 LW skills enstead of one. 18 heavy knothide leathers takes a long time too to gather i cant see how i should ever get the mats goldvalue for selling it on AH. And i ended up with an agility enchant on my own gloves....

so think hard before making them :-))

This has got to be the cheapest way of leveling leatherworking from 350 now. They turn yellow at 355 but then you can learn Heavy Knothide Armor which is even less mats. Got to be the way to go!

hey I am just wondering if this is any good for a hunter, I mean I just saw a hunter using it and I was shocked. I mean I really thought it only benefitted the druid and warrior class, but for even the clothies it really wouldnt reduce the damage taken by much compared to the bonus from either spell crit/hit/damage or even stam to gloves. Maybe I am a nub and im stuck in my own little world on this but, if anyone has an opinion on this let me know. On a side note I am LW on my hunter and I swear i thought the mats were Diff when it first came out, if im wrong please let me know.
