Won a raid roll of 10 people for this last night.

One of the best priest MC rings.

The set'll give you over +60 healing - crazy.

While mages and locks can use this well, the set is obviously geared towards Priests and Pallies - just as much as magister's is geared towards mages.

They can use it, yes. However, since the set bonus and the bonus on the second ring clearly states "healing" and not "damage and healing", any Mage worth his salt will pass on those.
Even most Pallies in our raid group passed on it so the Priests /Druids got first dibs.

Those are geared towards Priests /Druids /Shammies /Pallies.

This ring set is amazing for priests and druids. I hate to say it but I would just have to roll on it as my Holy tree Pally =/.. sry

anyway, it's still pretty sweet for any healer.

VERY good Ring for all healing classes. Rolled highest last week on it with my priest. Yesterday the raptor boss dropt the other ring of the set and my guildmates passed on it for me. Thank you guys.

Look at the spikes on the ring. It would absolutely destroy your middle and pinky fingers. Are the stats worth that? I think not.

the spikes wouldnt crush the finger that its on, seeing as how the spikes are on the outside of the ring, but it would crush the fingers around the ring-wearing finger.
Instead, i would make earings outofem, they look like em anyhow.

This ring is great for druids and better than most rings in the game for pure healing endurance. Priests might like it too.

Imho, there's no problem with mage/lock roll for this set. Simply I decided (as guildmaster) that this is a HEALER set, and the masterlooter simply ignores mage ad lock roll for this item.
In the same way, masterlooter ignore the rolls of healers for items with +spell crit...

Sure.. stats are fine for a lock.. fine but not great or anything.
Middle of a big fight who's going to need the +mp/5 ?
Maybe the guy that's keeping you all alive and not the guy that can trade mana for life in battle.

Grr, I can't get this to drop. I've gone on at least a dozen runs since I got the Seal (don't lecture me on stats btw), and I've seen the Seal drop 2 more times, but this one just won't drop. Maybe it'll drop tomorrow night.

I only needed this Ring to complete my set but when it dropped I always lost the roll.
Yesterday it dropped again and I lost the roll from a Paly guildie but he offered me the Ring to complete my set! All Guild aggreed and I was like OOOOOOOOO!

i think this set is one of the real gems of the new ZG loot. but seems like everyone has their heart set on two cauterizing bands. so let's compare:

2 cauterizing bands: 42 stat points (24 int + 18 sta), +92 heal

primalist set: 38 stat points (22 int + 8 sta + 8 spi), +62 heal, +6 mana/5sec

the difference: -4 stat points, -30 +healing, but +6 mana/5secs.

imo, that makes primalist set very close to as good as 2 cauterizing bands (a.k.a. bona fide kick-ass MC epics that most ppl will never get 2 of). granted, i will still give a small edge to cauterizing bands, but admit that it's close.

AND primalist set is much easier to obtain; your raid won't have to wait for 30 cauterizing bands to drop so every healer can be wearing 2; and you can spend your dkps or whatever on other stuff.

and don't forget, primalist blows out of the water those approx 25 stat point blue rings . as well as that WSG ring.

Another new item that falls just a tiny bit short... go figure.

The set (two rings), however, is half-decent for a non-purple touting healer:

Int: 22
Sta: 8
Spi: 8
+61 to Healing Spells and Affects
6 mp per 5 sec regen

I'm wearing two of these atm:
Ring of Demonic Guile one has +8sta plus the setbonus. will probably get this set and save my mc points for a time when causterizing band is cheaper

This ring by itself is not that great but if you have this AND Primalist Seal then the 2set is really good. Once you get a Cauterizing band or Pure elementium band then the set won't be good anymore.
