Looking at the other holiday achievements, barring Brewfest's 1-2 year dedication (Brew of the Month Achievement) requirement, this seems like it'd be the most difficult;
They're making the gifts BoP, you can only get one per hour (if I understand that correctly) and it lasts only 5 days.

Either they need to have the gifts remain alt-farmable or they need to make this title awesome.

In german the title reward is called " Liebesgott " which means "Love God".

quite unfair compared to "love fool"

Someone already commented on this but their comment was voted away for some reason—the Perma-Peddle achievement is NOT required for Fool for Love anymore as of 3.0.8.

The Perma-Peddle Achievement is no longer a part of the "Fool for Love" meta-achievement.

Firstly I would recommend reading this comment by Bindar. It greatly explains how the Pledge/Gift collections work.

Hearthmender - Use the Unbestowed Friendship Bracelet on 20 players with Heartbroken debuff. You'll find players with the debuff mostly in major city's. Receive the Unbestowed Friendship Bracelet from the or which might be received when you give an city guard an Love Token. In order to do this you'll need to have either Cologne Bottle or Perfume Bottle buff one you (just right click it). Love Token, Cologne Bottle and Perfume Bottle can be bought from certain innkeepers.

Flirt With Disaster - Obviously, you need to get drunk and have the buff f~~rom either Cologne Bottle or~~ Perfume Bottle on you (just right click them). Those are buy able from certain innkeepers during the event. Jeremiah Payson is the c0ckroach vendor sitting on the lowest ring near the bank in Undercity. First throw an Handful of Rose Petals on him (target him and click on the item, he might already got the buff from another player). Those are rewards from the quest: Gift Giving or from any or . Then /kiss him.

Nearest and Dearest - Complete the quest line starting with Dangerous Love (Horde) or Dangerous Love (Alliance). At the last quest, make sure you click the cauldron!

Nation of Adoration - Obtain Gift of Adoration: Orgrimmar, Gift of Adoration: Thunder Bluff and Gift of Adoration: Undercity. Once received, it should be recorded by the achievement tracker so no need to keep it until you got all 3, you can use it right away for others achievements.

Perma-Peddle - Obtian either Truesilver Shafted Arrow or Peddlefeet (This is the spell found in your pets tab, but included if you already got the pet from last year). The pet can contain in or .

Be Mine! - The Bag of Candies can be gotten out of any or . It has 10 charges and its possible to get the same candy more than once.

I Pitied The Fool - Pity the Love Fool on the specified location. Make sure you are on the right spot! Right click the Love Fool to drop a love dummy on the ground. Then just target it and type: /pity. Keep in mind that it agro's surrounding enemies and might be destroyed by them.

Love Fool's can be obtained from any or .

Shafted! - Simply target players and right click the Silver Crafted Arrow. Get this as reward from Gift Giving or any or . Make sure the players dont have a pet out already, else it wont work!

Lonely? - You'll need to find someone who placed an Romantic Picnic Basket in Dalaran. Those might be received from any or . Dont just go /sit, but right click the basket and make sure you get the buff Romantic Picnic. You can as well place it yourself, but you still need someone to join you.

(Personal note: If you're on Kor'Gall(EU), look for me. I will be dropping them regularly in Dalaran on either my shaman Phobios or my druid Kapot, since i got them from last year already! =)

The Rocket's Pink Glare - You'll need to shoot 10 Love Rocket's into the air in 20 seconds or less. The thing is you'll at least 2 x or , because you only get them in stacks of 5. Once you got 10, just drag it on an actionbar button and spamclick the button, you'll make it easily.

Fistful of Love - You'll need to cast (= right click once you targeted someone) Handful of Rose Petals on the listed races / classes. You can get the Handful of Rose Petals from the quest Gift Giving or any or . Dalaran or any battleground is perfect for this, but may take some time to find them all.

Sweet Tooth - You need to eat the listed sweets.
Buttermilk Delight, Sweet Surprise, Dark Desire and Very Bery Cream can all be obtained from Box of Chocolates which are gotten from the quest Gift Giving or any or .

My Love is Like a Red, Red Rose -
You need to obtain an Bouquet of Red Roses. This item is a drop that occurs during the Valentine's Day event. It drops from:

Archivist Galford in Stratholme
Illyanna Ravenoak in Dire Maul
Princess Moira Bronzebeard <Princess of Ironforge> in Blackrock Depths
Lorekeeper Polkelt in Scholomance.

The first boss in Utgarde Keep, Prince Keleseth drops this now (normal and heroic). Not sure yet about other bosses.
IT DOES NOT DROP FROM ANY OF THE ABOVE LIST ANYMORE.

Does anyone else feel that the window to complete this achievement is a little bit small? Especially in comparison to all the other world events? I'm going to be gone the whole time on my Anniversary, trying to sneak in WoW time in the early wee hours of the morning while the wife is still asleep to get this sucker done lol.

I managed to get this in basically a day. I had 2 accounts and started when the servers opened up. Got everything but the candy done in 5-6 hours.
People are really helpful with you get a broken heart ^_^.

As with other titles containing "the" it will be a suffix, i.e. it will be behind the character name.

Some tips:

- When buying cards at the Innkeeper, No matter what your gender, buy both cologne AND perfume. That way no matter what gender is, you can hit on the NPCs.
- Civillian tokens (pies/flowers/romantic poems) can be a pain to hunt down, but npcs will become "amorous" again after a minute or so. For these uncommon items find a civillian npc that gives them and camp them like you would any quest mob until the heart appears again.
- When doing the "Nation of Adoration" achievement be sure to hit a civillian and not a guard. Guards give PLEDGES of adoration.
- Items such as the Black Dress must be generated by YOU for the achievement "Lovely Luck is On Your Side"! You can buy it off the AH or trade it amongst guildies to wear for fun, but it won't count towards the achievement.
- If you're stalking a specific class/race type for Fistful of Love, do /who (race) (class) to make sure there's even someone of that type in your area first. Only works for your own faction. The best area to do this is Dalaran.
- DO NOT WAIT TILL THE LAST MINUTE to do this. This holiday only lasts for about a week, and many of the achievements require rare items that you only have a chance at once an hour!

TIMERS. The NPC's are on 1 and 1/2 minute timers. These timers don't reset when when you give an NPC a Love Token This proves to be helpful when developing an efficient NPC visit rotation. Take Care.

I don't know if this was for everyone, but before patch 3.1.0, I did not have the Be Mine achievement, but when I logged in after the servers finally came back up after the patch, I had the achievement. I was so happy for this because I had thought that I would have to wait until February of 2010 to receive my proto-drake because I missed that one achievement, but I had gotten it. I don't know if they changed the requirements for that achievement, because I was missing only one of the candies, but I am still happy regardless.

In Patch 3.1 Lovely Luck Is On Your Side got added to the Meta, and Be Mine! was reduced to only require 6/8. However, for those players like myself who had earnt this Meta before Patch 3.1 and did not have Lovely Luck Is On Your Side , you still have the Meta achievement and the title.

You purchase the items needed for this achievement from the holiday vendor with s. As of 2010, Love Tokens are obtained through quests.

For four of the quests you will need to farm s, which have a chance to be created when you kill any mob that gives experience or honor while you have a Lovely Charm Collector's Kitin your inventory. Charms don't have to be looted; they will automatically appear in your inventory. You can turn 10 charms into one . The four daily quests are found in Orgrimmar, Undercity, Thunder Bluff, and Silvermoon, and involve turning in a bracelet to a Horde leader for 5 tokens. You can also trade one charm bracelet for one love token at the holiday vendor, but since this is much less efficient, there's no point unless you left the achievement until the last minute and don't have time to get your tokens through dailies.

There are four other dailies that reward 5 tokens each and don't require charms. One is Crushing the Crown, which involves killing some fast-spawning mobs and lobbing one bomb at a target in Crystalsong Forest. The other three, Bonbon Blitz, A Cloudlet of Classy Cologne, and A Perfect Puff of Perfume, are all very simple and fast quests that can be done in town, but you can only get a random one of them a day.

Obtaining 12 bracelets gives you the achievement, and if you use them to do all four of the bracelet dailies you'll get too. There are two more achievements that don't require tokens at all: for looting a bouquet of roses in one of several dungeons, and for doing a series of non-repeatable quests out of Orgrimmar.

Beyond that, many of the achievements can potentially be done without any tokens. could take up to 50 tokens for 5 Love Fools -- by far the most tokens of any achievement in this meta -- but you can also emote /pity at a Love Fool laid down by someone else; this should be easy to do with three of them (Wintergrasp, Arathi Basin, and Gurubashi Arena -- though that last one might require some camping.) will take one or two boxes of chocolates, for 10-20 tokens, but the chocolates are tradable. can be done with someone else's picnic. Fistful of Love requires 11 handfuls of petals, which will cost 6 tokens, but the petals can be traded. Reportedly, you can also use a , which you might have gotten as a dungeon drop, though the black bouquet is a more common drop. will probably take 2 or 3 s, for 4-6 tokens, but the candies can be traded and bought off the auction house.

Three achievements appear to absolutely require at least some tokens. requires 10 s, which cost 10 tokens and are soulbound. requires 10 , which are also soulbound, for another 10 tokens. requires one token for perfume. It also requires one handful of rose petals, but you can trade for them, use a leftover from Fistful of Love, or use a bouquet of red roses if you have one.

Add it up, and you could theoretically complete the meta achievment for as few as 21 tokens, but if you do everything on your own by turning in tokens, then could need as many as 113. Note you will get 60 tokens just by using the bracelets from to complete daily quests.

EDITED TO ADD: It turns out that Love Rockets and Silver Shafted Arrows can be traded and auctioned. Perfume can't be auctioned, but can be traded. So in theory, you could complete this entire meta without spending a single token -- saving them all for the non-meta achievements and .

We partied as a group, each person had a dummy and one dropped in each location. I recommend setting a macro to target and get it fast. But it was cake when coordinated this way.

I Pitied The Fool
- Cost 10 Love Tokens per Love Fool. Will cost you 50 if doing by yourself, less if you have friends who can share Love Fools with you.

In Total you can expect to collect and spend 99 Love Tokens to get the achievements done. Add 40 more if you want the Perma-Peddle pet and more if you want to collect dresses and perfumes. Keep in mind that the perfumes, colognes and other Valentine buff items will disappear from inventory at end of Valentine Holiday Event.

There's a lot of broken features in the Love is in the Air festival so far. I ran into a problem with being able to buy items getting an error message.

If you have issues buying things from vendors open the vendor pane and type this macro while it's open (where slot is the number of the item you want):

/run BuyMerchantItem(slot)

So far the identified items are:

Most of the items required for the Fool For Love are purchased using Love Tokens.

You can collect a Love Token by trading in one Lovely Charm Bracelet at the Lovely Merchant vendor in any major city. The Lovely Charm Bracelet is created by turning in Lovely Charm x10. You can get Lovely Charm by killing mobs appropriate to your level while you have a Lovely Charm Collector's Kit in your inventory, which you also receive by talking to the Lovely Merchant.

Notably, this is the only path to get Love Tokens that is not constrained by dailies; the faster you get your Lovely Charms, the faster you can accumulate your Lovely Charm Bracelets and the your Love Tokens to buy the specialty holiday items and finish the Fool For Love achievement.

The best place to use your Lovely Charm Collector's Kit to collect your Lovely Charms is in Throne of the Tides. Leave the zone set to normal mode to speed the process and reduce any damage taken.

After killing the first two bosses, go back to the entrance and head up the left corridor towards . In the hallway there, kill the mobs that continuously spawn. They can be AoE killed quickly (only about 3k health!), even solo, by almost any class, and each one that dies has a chance to leave a Lovely Charm. You will have to kill the mobs in the front and middle of the hallway first to clear room to kill the s. However, be careful not to kill the two that are standing at the end of the hallway before ; once those die, the s stop spawning.

Depending on how quickly your class can AoE farm here, you can easily pick up 500+ Lovely Charms per hour; some classes report farming almost 1,000/hour. You will likely need a group to help you kill the first two bosses, though.

(Note: Technically, you only have to kill the first boss, , and activate the control panel, to open up 's hallway to access the s. However, the spawn of the 2nd boss blocks your path back to the teleporter, so realistically he will have to be killed as well.)
