Tamed tonight with a little help from the GM....waited three and one half hours (it was 2:30 Server time by the time I saw him)...actually watched him spawn right in front of me (directly between road and little camp)...but he was in Evade mode the whole time...spammed Tame..to no avail...had just released my cat to trade pets and was more than upset....sent a tell to the GM online help and within minutes he was respawned for me.....Tamed without a hitch...Level 56 Blood Elf.....GM's are awesome! Named him "Raika", Japanese for 'Flash of Lightning', he is beautiful and hits hard, even at an Unruly Loyalty (1) and 7 levels below par. He backs off for each Lightning strike and is very animated...I've tamed Uhk'lok recently....white pet collection is growing.

Found her today, in the clearing just East of the Brewblower guy.. SHE SPAWNED UNDERGROUND.. just have beast tracking up and circle until you get close.. I didn't kill any Sprite Darters, don't listen to anything that tells you too.. spawn time was around 3 hours. She will pop back above ground as she heads north, trapped and tamed like normal without bugs after that.

Bugged confirmed. He got the "fall" bug, at least he fell down when I started Mind Visioning him, same bug as we can experience as players I think.

Some people are mentioning a teleportation bug with this mob and I can totally confirm it. I was riding along and saw it on the side of the road. When I ran up to kill it, it vanished but I still had it selected. The selection disappeared as well after 30 seconds or so. I ran around the mountain it was near looking for it, figuring that the game just didn't show it to me since it was too far away or something and I then I saw it again, 10 feet from where it originally was. I ran up to it and it vanished again and appeared a little distance away about 5 seconds later. I killed it then, quickly. It definitely was not a computer issue (this computer is really, really good) but could have been a server issue.

this has been my first ever experience playing wow and i have to say i like it. ive been playing for a month now and i think i lvled pretty good.

sorry for you all. i i saw this guy numerous times walking towards that island off the coast towards the ferry. i wondered if it was tameable . so on my way back i decided to see if. i had my lvl 58 wild cat, the one you catch in the barrens, yes the horde pet, im on the alliance side.

i got rid of it, as i saw it vanishing in and out. ii porb saw it bout 5 or 6 times before i set a freeze trap on it. tamed it on the first try. i guess i just got lucky.

but its not at all hard to find or tame. i was so glad. im currently on the verge of collecting all the best wind serpents, i love their lightning breath attacks. i figured it was a rare too and was right.

i already have tamed Hakkari sapper, Spawn of Hakkar and now Arash-ethis.

i had hakkari frostwing but didnt like the fact of its negative stats in pvp, and i had the deviate dreadfang elite from wailing caverns but i released it for the spawn of hakkar. now that i have the burning crusade i should have no problems with getting either the soul of Hakkr or the soulflayer.

i test all my pets before giving the go head to keep. i need to save 150g to be able to or release my only pet i had since lvl 22, yes another rare the mist howler. i go only for elites and rares. i guess its quite a significance to me thats why ikept him.

I actually found this mob by accident. I was doing a quest to kill giants and I had just installed NPCTracker to see if it still worked and a 3d model box opened saying "Found Rare - Arashethis" so I dismissed my current pet and tamed it.

Found his ass in the little clearing between the road and Brewspewer.

After clearing some mobs he seemed to completely disappear from view and from tracking. I'd been logging in and out for six hours waiting on him, so needless to say, I became miffed. But after a few minutes he reappeared, and was easy enough to tame, even though I screwed up my ice trap and he managed to get his lightning breath attack off on me lol. Very easy, and a little beaut. He comes with Dive and Lightning Breath.

As for respawn time, I have no idea. There's no telling how long he had been gone before I starting camping him, and because of his location (between a main road and a quest turn-in) he probably gets his little butt kicked on a daily basis.

Arash is a White WS that is NOT A CASTER. Caster pets have 80% to 90% of regular pets health and armor, plus do less damage. Do not tame any pet that has a mana bar. You will have to spend more training points just to get them on-par with a regular pet.

Arash is one of the ONLY wind serps that is not a caster, and has ranged lightning.

If you have a regular wind serp..its just for show...if you have ARASH its a mage killer.

at lvl 61 Arash and I can do 3000 to 5000 damage before a mage knows what is hitting him. If I stun the target, Arash will move himself into their "deadzone" stopping all physical attacks from hitting him....If a mage traps the target Arash will do the same "deadzone attack"...they have no way to block the Lightning or attack back till the ice breaks....I have seen several Warriors and Rogues simply leave the battle grounds after getting owned by a mage and my Arash...lol

Arash is a great pet. I just tamed him at 51. You will find him at the places mentioned above however, let me see if I can give you a better description.

The general area you want to be in, is west of that little circle shaped river on the other side of the road by the twin colassals. You should put your dragonkin tracker on, and find that stupid little sprite guy flying around. Arash takes that same path when he spawns. Arash is on a two hour timer, so you don't have to wait too terribly long. My suggestion is to tame a $%^&ty pet around there to help kill things while youre waiting (cause theres alot of mobs around there that will make it for you hard to tame.) then once Arash comes, abandon that pet and tame him. Best tip is to freeze trap him cause his lightning will mess you up.

Tamed Arash about 30 minutes ago. Was dodging the other mobs, intent on getting to Gregan, when I see it attacking me. xD I freak out and wait until the other two gorillas are off me, turn around, and it was gone. T_T

Looked for about 10 minutes, abandoned my own and tamed a wolf in the area (between Gregan and the road) and killed the mobs then was killed by a group of horde, and I was sure they killed Arash.

Ran to my corpse, and hovering over my corpse was Arash, and the horde were gone. =P She disappeared (dang that teleport/glitch) and I finally got a chance to tame it. Haven't gotten a chance to fight, since I'm tired, so I'll find out tomorrow. Beautiful pet, though.

I just caught Arash-ethis a few minutes ago.

I tamed him at 44,22.

If you are at 44,22 in the right spot there should be a large outcrop of rocks directly southwest of you, a dirt path behind you, and behind that dirt path a hilly mountain that an ironfur bear walks on. You're on the border of 44,22 and 45,22.

The place holder for Arash are the sprite dragons. You want to climb up the rocks as much as you can, you can't get to the very top, but you can climb the first slope of them. The sprite dragon will appear some way in front of you and fly towards you beside or directly over the rocks you are standing on, stop it and kill it before it gets behind you. The sprite dragon (and/or Arash) bugs out on the dirt path behind you, evades, and vanishes underground. Sometimes it reappears further down its path, and sometimes it despawns all together.

I got Arash after a short time. I killed 3 sprite dragons, and one bugged and despawned before I got to it. Then Arash appeared flying the same path, I laid freezing trap at my feet on the rocks and spammed Tame until Arash was close enough. Then it flew towards me while being tamed and you know how the rest works.

I do not think you have to wait 2 hours. Taming this rare is about location, location, location (and killing the placeholder mob).

My story starts with my 49-51 Hunter on Baelgun-
Had been trying for a cumulative time of about 2 weeks, out of a month, to catch the slippery snake... the sprites were doing their annoying perma-evade dance so they were nearly impossible to kill. Since they are the place keeper for Arash, that made things interesting. During that time, was patrolling the entire area that shows as "Two Colossals, killing tons of the non-evading sprites, bears, wolves, trees, etc. Would do so for as long as my ADD mind would allow, then take off and do some quick quests or to partake in the Brewfest and Halloween festivities, but would always return.

Over on the Kel"T server-
My shaman was curious, so he went and scouted the area and sure enough there was the big snake just mocking me! Yelled and /1ed to see if any hunter wanted him and, since there was no reply, he snuffed out that sucker, just to teach him a lesson.

Now, back to Baelgun-
Finally became angered, since there was obviously a problem, and opened a ticket due to the perma-evading of the non-quest creeps. One GM chimed in and we searched for one of the perma-evading sprites so they could verify my complaint with no luck. As a hunter, could track them via dragonkin but the GM could not see them- which was part of the issue to begin with. The moment the GM closed the ticket one of the sprites that spawns between the 2 rock outcroppings just West of the road began doing the perma-evade dance once more. No joke.

Since the sprites continued to mock me, decided to open another ticket, since the evading creeps were making things difficult, to say the least.

A much kinder GM chimed in and hung out until we found at least three of the placeholder sprites that were perma-evading. They said they would make a few back end changes to help with the situation. They seemed to like the fact that my request was not to have them activate Arash directly, but rather to fix the perma-evading placekeepers...

The GM then wished me luck and closed the ticket.

Kept up the vigil, stalking the entire "Twin Collosals" area- yep, the whole thing on both sides of the road. Noticed two sprites began spawning simultaneously between the two rock outcroppings in the west, likely one of the changes referred to by the GM, but still no slippery snake.

Then something interesting happened, the time came for the servers to be bumped to remove the Halloween decorations and such from the world, and boom- Arash-Ethis was in the area just West of the road, at the bottom of the hill where the dwarf has his camp set.

Dismissed my pet, ran in to nab the winged one, and hit the button to tame- only to get the "you already have a pet, stupid" error. Slapped myself a few times, called my pet, right clicked, and abandoned him. Found Arash when he resurfaced from his underground travels, zapped him with ye old love potion, and now he is mine.

In short, if you want Arash-Ethis, be sure you are willing to persist in your endeavors.

FYI for the hunters, I found him SE of Gregan's camp (46,26) when he attacked me leaving there. He glitched in that my casts (playing a lock) wouldn't take him down but when I went up and whacked him with my staff it broke the "Evade" message. Maybe 'getting physical' will help if you get a glitched, unhittable Arash. Good luck!

An easy way of getting Arash-ethis is to
1)stable your pet 2)get a lot of bread/cheese/or fish 3)run to the twin colossals area and get an Ironfur bear for a temp pet. 4)On the left colossal tower (directly about the 'N' in Twin on the map) is a ledge. You can get to it from the northwest side of the tower.
Once you work your way to the ledge you can use Eagle Eye to cover the whole area that Arash-ethis spawns. Some of the spots you have to aim through trees, etc but every single square foot can be tracked. Make sure you have beast-tracking on and you can just find him on your mini-map when using Eagle Eye.

Took me a couple days but I just parked my hunter there, logged in every couple hours, found him and had no problem getting him. Just cleared the area, released the bear and tamed him.

He does great DPS and has great animations when swimming/attacking (like all wind serpents). I like him better than my Ghost Saber.

I am a connoisseur of rare pets; it all started with my first rare, Echeyakee, at level 17 :33 Now at level 51, my quest for rare pets brought me to Feralas to try and grab this beauty <3 Started at around 5:30 PM and ended around 9:40 PM. Here's the story :3 ~

So, Right as I got to the general area, I instantly felt a bit disheartened. Taking a look at the terrain myself and trying to match these locations up with many of the comments here seemed difficult and these was no sign of Arash. Observing the sprites, I watched many float over to the "path of evasion" (loc. aprox. 44,22) and become unattackable, only to disappear then reappear farther down the path. I tried killing these as was mentioned, but it didn't seem to help that I could see.

I patrolled all the areas mentioned, near the elites, the field between the road and Gregan Brewspewer and the path, 44,22 for a really long time and there was no sign at all. This entire time I was fighting all the bears, wolves and sprites I could find. I died several times and eventually my bow broke and I needed to repair. I spent at least another hour running around these areas with very low durability, avoiding fighting the majority of the mobs I came across and was really losing hope.

I decided to take a break from this camping, hearth to Tenaris, repair and head back. Knowing my luck, it'd show up while was gone xD and that was exactly the case. When i came back, I began to run towards Brewspewer when I was hit by a lightningbreath and turned only to see him for two seconds or so before he simply vanished (this was at aprox. 46,24). A bear then attacked me, so I ran up to Brewspewer to get the aggro off and look for Arash again. I spotted him heading for the "path of evasion" and bolted after him. I managed to not draw any more aggro, ice trapped, tamed, and had this lovely fellow, right around 45,23

Spent a morning getting the remaining ranks of Dive and Lightning Breath that I didn't have (it's my last stable slot and I'm a completist), then took off to Feralas to look for Arash-ethis. Got to the road by the camp and there she was, big as life. Dropped my trap, moved in to tame her ... and she vanished.

She was still targetted though, so I rode around for a bit until I found her and tamed her. She really is gorgeous.

Now to level her from 49 to 70... maybe I'll get me a firefly pet.

im still waiting for this damn windserpent i waited for about 3 hours straight now just going back and forth between the dwarf dude and coords, 25, 44 maybe the other way around 44, 25 but anyway i still cant find him anywhere does anyone know the time sequence like every so few hours he repops? if you do plz comment back this is the only pet i can get without going through a dungeon that has lightning breath 5 so plz just comment back with tips ^_^

I just found him below the hill from the quest guy Greg. I tried three different days and just walked up on him today. I didn't have a pet with me and am wondering if that made a difference.

It's all about timing and luck...took me about 2 hours to get mine. One thing I will say about this particular pet is that her color seems to 'change' slightly depending on what zone you are in. In Felwood, she had a greenish tint, in Darkshore it was more purpleish and in Winterspring it was definitely white.
I have this windserpant and Olm the Wise (BG Pet)on a 55 hunter, and going for all white pets, and I feel that Zap (as I called her) hits hard. I know pets all got nerfed to be the same, but I have not had any problems with her holding aggro and dealing damage.
Can't get wait to get the Wintersaber Prowler to round out my oddball collection!

BTW...thank you to all who previously posted. This is definetly a difficult hunt, as I found Olm first time. If there is ANY advice that I can through in to the mix (aside from the obvious PATIENCE) is that the use of Eagle Eye saved me a LOT of running around. Keep your tracking on beasts and it follows your eagle eye. I still ran around and killed mobs/sprite dragons from time to time, but it saved me so much aggrevation to be able to just stay in one place and spam eagle eye in various directions.

Last thing...really lol...The spawn point for me was BETWEEN the dwarf NPC and the road. I saw her pop up on the minimap there. This may not be the only spawn point, but I believe someone else mentioned it in an early post and I can confirm that it is the location she spawned for me.

He spawned just below the quest giver in the hollow full of ironhide bears 46,21 . I just ran around (back and forth through the quest givers camp) and killed all the sprite dragons I could find. After about 1.5 hours and almost falling asleep he popped at 1:35 server time. Very nice, I'm 65 and he holds aggro pretty well and the Lightning breath for 50 focus and 78-90 damage is a great focus dump. I think he will be better than my Ghost Saber with his level 9 claw which does 54-76 damage.

Just tamed it he spawned in the valley just below the dwarf camp. I stopped killing place holders after the first 2 hours lol (it makes no difference) finally just stood up there at the dwarf camp looked down waiting for him to spawn. Easy tame at L49 , agroed a gorilla as well ,shot Arash with concussion, ice trapped Gorilla, tamed then killed the gorilla.

He is still really large even after you tame him so keep that in mind, flying pets can get annoying but he does put out some nice damage:) He replaced KB ... GL

I was so excited when i caught this pet. First because i caught a rare pet and second because i finally had a cool story for thottbot lol. So i was in feralas at lvl 50 for about 2 hrs spamming the macro i created with no luck. I killed so many mobs i had to empty my bags from all the leather and drops i collected. So i decide to go to org check my mail and empty bags. Then i log and go eat. An hr later i get back on head back to feralas and go back to 44 22. Get attacked by a bear and my wolf jumps to my defense. While im shooting arrows at the bear i decide to click my macro just in case. Suddenly my character starts shooting arrows sideways. Then the biggest wing serpant i have seen to this point flys in and blasts me with a ridiculously powerful lighting bolt. So i try to abandon pet. OH crap hes still in combat. So Aim shot the bear (crit for 1200)abandon pet and lay down freezing trap. After that he was mine. He literally destroys casters pvp. I took down a just like the above comment said. I took down a 56 lock today with his help and im a 52. I recommend this pet to any hunter looking for a change from the usual cat and boar. He does spawn at 44 22 just be patient. I just killed this guy, and he dropped Robes of Insight. Over a 2 year span, the only epic drops I've seen are 2 Hurricanes. Pretty badass addition to the day's leveling.

To clear up some things.

This mob is on a 2 hour respawn time. However you may 'miss' it if someone had already killed it, or if it is in the area where it is buggged.

There is no 'teleporting' bug. This mob is mearly travleing along a set path and is falling below the ground in some places. What you see as teleporting is this mob simply poping back up from the ground in set locations while travleing along it's normal path.

I followed this mob for a while on my hunter. It does not despawn. It moves back and forth along a set path, and pops up and down from the ground in the same locations each and every time. It does not have the falling bug while in the back area with all the rocks and trents. Only in the fromt area near the path, and if you follow it in the front area, it is underground when it turns around and heads back.

That is why some people think it 'despawns' at the end of it's travle path cause they no longer see it. Nope just back track, it just turned around while underground and pops back up some ways down it's path near the path that leads to the back area. The mob moves slowly along it's path so it takes it a little while for it to pop back above ground.

And that is it. It don't despawn, it don't 'teleport' It is just falling below ground in the same locations each time as it moves back and forth along it's set path.

My hunter was able to tame this pet very easy by simply waiting for it to move back into the back area where it does not have this falling bug.

I have had him for a while now, and IMHO he is without question the best pet available until outland.

Awesome damage and holds aggro very well. A very helpful pet, and stylish as hell, too.

I intend to take him with me to outland, and train him up when I can. There are windserpents there, but none as beautiful as him.

just talked with a Gm, and was told Arash is on a Straight timer no placeholders to kill, just make a macro /target Arash and keep running through the area.

just tamed him, he was static, not roaming between the road and the tent

I was running around the spawning area like a fool, for about 4 hours without any sign of our dear friend Arash, so I logged out - frustrated (haha, after only 4 hours, tssss!). Before going to bed, I decided to log on again, just to check - and tadaa, when I activated my /target Arash macro, I got him in scope. However, he was somewhere under the hill with the dwarven encampment. I abandoned my temp bear pet, kept moving about while targetting Arash and all of a sudden he appeared in all his glory in the field between the main road and the dirt track leading up to the dwarven questgiver. No other animals in sight, so I freeze trapped him, and hugged him to pieces and now he's very happy. He's even housebroken and all!

I think you just have to patient and wait near the dwarf, keep targetting Arash with a macro and since he does have the same path over and over again, he simply HAS to appear near you sometime, some day :)

I can confirm as a hunter that neither Arash-ethis nor the Sprite Dragons that usually appear in its place can be seen on the mini map in "Track Beasts" mode. So you have to try the "/target" command or keep looking for it on the main view.

I just completed the quest Videre Elixir from the dwarf and decided to mount up and run. Aggroed a bear, didn't stop in hope to get him off, and then I hear a "wind serpent aggro hiss" behind me. At that moment I didn't even see what was attacking me, but I thought of a rogue vale screecher and I was like, "oh great, extra adds, I'll just keep running so I get them all off". Then a Chain Lightning hits me and I see Arash-ethis' portrait popping up, I think OMG a rare gotta kill him! Dismounted too late, I REALLY got him off me, he flew away, me following him, he stopped and got stuck, and when i tried to fire wand at him he was evading. So I get closer to try with a staff and he aggroes me again and becomes attackable once more, got a bear add but of course killed him and the bear no problem (56 lock). But it's funny how, if he had not aggroed me and electrocutionned me I'd have passed my way without even knowing I aggroed a rare. He dropped a green mail crown.

Tamed him last night, he's a neat pet. People keep starin' at my snake. Weirdly, he sometimes spawns underground. Found that out when I was hunting him up to tame him and he aggro'd me and I couldn't find him, then poof, out of the ground.

The mob and its place holders, the sprite dragonkin are quite a bit bugged. They often evade and can spawn under the ground environment. Its a royal pain.

i tamed him at 3 am today cet he is not happy now just whem i was done taming he was killed by 2 giants i got away they did atacj him during the taming proces but i got him he spawned between the giant elite's between the coast and the camp at 39.21 so dont stay in the camp but run arround to find him

Well i just got really lucky. Tamed this one at 2:15 am est. Twisting Nether server. I had logged myself out rather close to the elite giants before leaving for work and when i got back it was flying above ground right in front of me! It is possible that someone had been killing mobs in that area in hopes of making it pop but i had not touch a single mob before or after going to work, not even the sprite. Just luck i suppose :)

Got him again. Was riding through his area when he spawned on top of me. Enough time to Stealth up and Ambush. Much easier at lv48 Rogue. The instant cast spells of his can be a pain though.

I saw it when i was taking a little run in ferales. Was too low to kill it, so i just saw it fly away ^_^ When 1 of my hunters reach lvl 49, i will tame him.

I swear, the rares retain their relative large size after taming.

I tamed Zaricotl and he was the same size after taming as regular untamed carrions. Then as I was going through Feralas, I saw this thing, and it was HUGE. I figured I'd tame him, and he ended up larger than my Tauren even after "tamed-shrinking".

I'll probably stable him until 1.8 patch -- hopefully wind serpents get their special ability and it is useful. Right now, I am going to continue to level my King Bangalash who has been with me since 43.

Oh, and he has dive 2. For comarison, Zaricotl has dive 3.

Caught this beaut at 2:10 A.M. Eastern
I stood at 45,22 -- he was cruising the length of the ridge underneath the dwarf. He froze for thirty seconds on the far south side of the valley and then disappeared? Only to reshow further north a minute later.

Took two tries. First. Freeze trap/stun/train -- he broke the trap and I aggro'd a bear. Feigned and succeeded easily on the second go.

Turning in Bloodpetal quest and jumped down not paying attention and apparently aggrod this guy, but didn't notice right away until his portriat popped up. By the time I'd noticed it I turned around to try to find him but couldn't see him anywhere, but I was still IC. Ran all around looking for him, then went OOC and his portrait disappeared. Came here looking for info, ran around more trying to find him, nothing. Boo. :(

No one knows the timer for this pet..? I just found it after a few hours of waiting only to have two dolts 'help' by KILLING it even when I spammed shouts for them to stop... *sigh*

Took me a couple days of camping in the dwarf camp and getting on randomly running around to get him but i finally did. Tamed at 7:12 PM CST at 44,22 on Malfurion/Alliance.

I haunted his area In Feralas for several hours, killing bears, wolves and apes to stay busy. I went back three times and lurked around those wretched rocks and never caught a glimpse of him. The reason he disappears/reappears is because there is a bug in his flight path that causes him to fly below ground sometimes. The area sprite dragons do it too. I knew this and knew how to watch for him, but still couldn't catch a glimpse of him.

After some rest, I went back and spotted one of my guild-mates (a warrior) hanging around there. I warned him not to kill the white wind-serpent if he saw it, because I was going to try to tame it - and at that very moment the creature appeared right between the two of us.

I was caught unprepared, but I wasn't going to miss my chance. I abandoned my pet, dropped a freeze trap, and started to tame.

A nearby bear attacked me. I yelled HELP! My guildie attacked the bear.

Between the bear's attacks and the Great White One's lightning breath it all almost killed me. Just as I was about to die the tame completed, and both my new pet and my buddy killed the bear while I popped a health potion.

It was practically a miracle that my buddy was there right then. Without him I would have died and failed for sure. Now I have this glorious dream pet. WOW!

Some notes:

1) The freeze trap failed really quickly. Can't count on it to help much.
2) He hits really hard with that lightning breath. REALLY HARD.
3) The creatures around there respawn very quickly it's nearly impossible to keep the area clear.
4) Forest Walker Treant cruises through there about every 8 minutes. You can complete the Muisek quest there really easily.
4) Once tamed he doesn't seem to shrink much. Guy is huge. At tame time, mine had 4489 armor, 2638 health. I am spec'd BM, which helps with the stats.

Arash Ethis is great!

I had too much trouble finding him at lv49 so I gave it up. but still got my regular red Windserpent from feralas. they tame with rank 4-Lightning breath, wich is a great ability!

the dmg is high and its fun to watch:-)))
hope to bump into Arash soon and that he tames with lightning Breath too.

Sigh cant find him. I saw him as I passed by when i was lvl 48... now i am 49 and I went back tothe spot where he is at, and i cant find him. I do always find this little dragonkin mob tho. Wonder if killing him will help with respawn?

Tamed this beauty at about 12:30pm today. Tamed at 44,22. Instead of coming down the path, like the sprite dragon placeholders, he came over the rocks from the field on the opposite side of the path that I was standing on. Saw him as I used Eagle Eye on some rocks well within view.

Also, the sprite dragons spawn below the dwarf's camp. As long as you keep killing the placeholders, he'll eventually spawn. Took me about and hour of waiting.

He has the strangest path that I've ever seen. I was just going to the dwarf camp for a quest, and I ran into him. I told my boyfriend to follow him while I ran back to feathermoon to stable my cat, so I could catch him.

Anyways, after a few minutes of my friend stealthing behind him (rogue), he disappeared! He just faded away, and respawned somewhere else on the map. He did it once more while I was on my way back to the location. luckily, I got him... I just had to risk dying, because he was about to fly into the Giant area. I did it without Scorpid sting and freezing traps.

the hassle was well worth it, though! This is an amazing Windserpent. Beautiful skin, Regular DPS stats, and Dive 2

This damed beastie jumped on me while i was talking with Gregar Brewspewer. Unfotunately even though i had it targeted, I could not see it, nor could I hit it. Kept telling me i was too far away, although it could hit me with melee and spells. I had used the last of my Falsh powder when I got jumped by a Tyrant Devilsaur so couldnt vanish my way out.

I really love wind serpents as pets and would love to find this guy. I've been looking in the area showen on the map for 2 hours with no luck. If anyone knows either his spawn rate or the exact place of his spawn that would help greatly in my search. Thanks in advance guys! also is it just a myth that he can stealth? I've been trying to find him useing eagle eye and beast tracking method that worked so good on broken tooth.

I have tamed him with my hunter and leveled to 60, pretty good pet. Can't recall precise stats untrained on lvl 60, but I believe it was same as my lvl 60 cat.

As for taming itself, think his pathing is buged: I was looking for him with beast tracking on and noticed him on mini-map, then he disappeared from it and re-appeared bit further. I found him in the vale, just bellow that camping dwarf - have seen him there few more times later on.

p.s. he is not greenish as in screenie, but white.

Anyone know what this guy's attack speed is after taming? By his damage output I'm guessing in the 1.3-1.5 range, am I right?

I saw this baby spawn at 6:08 pm PST. I was on the ridge just below the dwarf tent area. Saw him slowly patrolling below along the length of the ridge field below me going north to south. When he got to the southern end he stopped for maybe 20 seconds then vanished.....a few seconds later reappeared half-way along the field to the north and started slowly flapping his way north....
Thats where I ran over and tamed him. Laid a frost trap and hit Tame. He got frozen and only broke free at the very end...didnt even have a chance to hit me once before he was tamed.
I believe hes on an 8 hour timer: 10:08am - 6:08pm and 2:08am

It should be obvious. The sprite darters are also bugged in this way. They are also the only mobs with the long wonder range like this mob. This mob is a rare pop for the sprite darters. If you want to get him to pop then kill them. Rare mobs dont just pop on a timer, there are many static rares and they cant pop if the regular mob is sitting at the spot. You have to kill the placeholders.

After stalking her for a couple of days, she didn't show up where I expected her, which is when you stand on a cliff near the dwarf guy overlooking the landscape to the east, but she popped out in the west, between the dark brown path that leads to the dwarf and the main road. I tamed her as level 50, with a freezing trap that didn't last very long, she got me down to 1/3 but in the end, she was mine. /w Kassiopeia on Steamwheedle Cartel server for help if you're interested in taming her, I'd love to give a hand.

By the way, killing the sprites does not seem to have an effect on her spawning.

Tamed him just below the dwarf, around 11pm cst...only took about 5 minutes of waiting for him to show up.

I had been looking for this guy for weeks. I see a Hunter way down south by where the road curves north and I left him alone, not thinking much of it. I get to the Twin Colossal and actually find Arash-Ethis! I quickly abandon my pet, but i had gotten too close, i couldnt use a freeze trap after he aggro'd on me, so I panicked and just tamed him. I was 1-2 seconds from finishing when that same Hunter hits me with everything he had from behind. I didnt even see him coming, and he's lucky I didn't, as he was 5 levels below my 54.

Of course he kills me, and I dont stick around to see if he tamed Arash, I assume he does. Though when I came back and killed him he didnt have it out to taunt me, which is strange. That's what I would have done. Birdikvondik you Dwarf piece of crap. I let you live this one time, but never again. I will murder every Alliance I see while trying to tame pets from now on. Dont be an idiot like me. Tag your mob, and kill anyone you see from the opposite faction anywhere near you.

Hello to all. I waited 5.5 hours and tamed it on the Rock Delar server. He appeared north of that dwarf (where the bonfire). Who will time, the exact time of the spawn 10.11.2019 at 23:45. Good luck. It feels like I went fishing with my grandfather ...)

I found him right next to Gregan Gerbebière. Sadly I couldn't attack or tame him though since he seemed bugged at the time and was evading.

I found and tamed him a few days ago and he was in that field just off the path. He was also bugged at the time, not moving and "evading" everything. However, I think this MAY have something to do with the Groddoc Thunderer in the same path. I got attacked by the Thunderer and was able to defeat him. The moment he was dead Arash-ethis became "unstuck" and I was able to tame him easily. I feel a little bad because I only needed him for Lightning Breath 5 for my long-time white Wind Serpent.

If you find him and he's evading and slightly in the floor, get almost exactly into the center of his target reticule (the circle that appears when you target him) and see if Tame Beast applies as a debuff on him when you're standing in that spot. That's what worked for me.

For those playing TBC Classic, the respawn rate for Arash is between 7- 8 hours. This is a reliable number as I camped him non-stop after seeing someone else kill him earlier.

All pathing information below is correct. I have tamed this guy on several private servers as well as when TBC was retail. Good luck to all in finding him.

Found in Season of Discovery at /way 38,21 near the giants. This NPC spawns with the three sprites; kill them until he appears. Sprites respawn every 4 minutes and 30 seconds. After 6 hours of waiting, killing sprites made him spawn in about 30 minutes. One sprite appears near Gregan Brewspewer's camp, just below the ramp; another spawns directly behind the camp on the road with the gorillas, while the third is a bit further back. Good luck

Camped for about 6 hrs non stop spamming eagle eye. Killed sprites at the start for about 2 hrs because comments mentioned that they hold his spawn. I believe this is false info as i stopped killing the Sprites completely and he still spawned near the giants.

for all sod players, i saw him literally spawn in at 37.5 21.0 after actively looking for him with Eagly Eye and target macro for close to two hours.
i saw other hunters killing the sprite dragons but i'm fairly certain it has nothing to do with his spawn behaviour. i never saw a sprite where arash spawned, in fact no sprites anywhere near the top platform with all the giants on.
just a classic 5-8 hour respawn timer

Just tamed him. I got a tip from someone that had tamed him the day before...12:00pm server time. I got there a couple hours early. I stand in one spot using Eagle Eye looking around non-stop. Saw a few other hunters. Then comes 12pm and I get more active in looking around. 12:05pm he shows up in the middle of the giants. Luckily I didnt encounter any other hunters nor aggro any mobs.
