Presumably this allows you to attack, heal and such as normal, if so this has a good few uses, i've been keeping it on my mage for a while for that very reason.

This does work as a bubble hearth if timed correctly. It only has a single use so it is quite pointless to use.

It's Divine Shield in a bottle. It has no bubble animation, though. Just a glug of the bottle and that's it, but the effect is active.

This is one of those items that has been sitting in my bank since Ievel 25 and I have never quite found the right opportunity to use it. In fact, I think it reveals what type of player you are as to how you use this item. Some would use it right away and completely waste it. Others would use it for a quest they've been having difficulty with. Others, like myself, simply hang onto it "just in case." I suppose that would make me over-cautious, to put it delicately :).

This item has sat in my bank for over 3 years now....however that doesn't mean I've never used it. Confused? I use it on every PTR. I imagine I'll keep it forever. It always guarantees me a win. I've won duels with thousands of gold at stake. Too bad it's only a PTR and the gold goes away when the PTR closes.

1) Available to all classes (duh)
2) Only one in the game per toon, and one time use
3) Does not reduce the damage you do (making it amazing in PvP, though you'd have to decide what time is an extremely important point in your PvP career to get a useful usage of this)

Useable By Hunters to tame some of the scarier Beasties, used it to Mitigate 10 seconds of Hellish Damage from King Krush (https://www.wowhead.com/cata/npc=32485) while taming him, making him quite a nice tame, i'm happy with my use of it :)

it has been a loooong time since i've had such an enjoyable time reading comments. some of the dumbest thing i've read some people use this ONE TIME ONLY yeah i'm the sh*t item for 10 secs on has been very comical. it has sat in my bank for years and will until like i said before, that 1 most epic of epic of all opportunities arise. i may end up never using it. quite possible. yet i just would never let myself live it down using it for example to survive a fall (maaaaaaybe if i came upon the TLPD and got whacked off my mount and it would be the difference of taming it or not as i have yet to still ever come across it, if it even exist anymore. to me it is in the loch-ness monster, big foot, and other of the like cat egory for me. yet i do know it exist at the beg of WTLK but it seems the more time that has passed, the more of a story you will pass down as a "this one time long ago, there existed a proto-dragon....."

I used my potion on our Kil'jaeden kill in TBC. I was too late to reach the bubble that our dragon creates, and everything was kind of falling into chaos. Then i popped my light of elune, survived without the dragonbubble and we killed him with around 10 people alive. That was epic.

I've had this in my bank for years now, and finally decided to bring it out for some Cho'gall-25 1% wipes. I was disappointed to see that I could no longer use the item, at least not in the raid. I relogged to change an addon and noticed that once I logged in, it was gone =(

So I never did get to use this OP item, but if you still want to keep yours, keep it in your bank!

Once upon a time, waay way back, I killed a rouge in STV who tried to kill me, then the rouge called his end game leveled 2 friends to camp me. After they killed me like 4 times, they stood there /spitting and /laughing. I used this and managed to kill that rouge under it's effects while the other two tried all they could to stop me, which didnt worked. That was an absolutely win moment.

I pulled this baby out of my bank today to help stay alive while picking up mobs to solo Zombiefest! The Light of Elune worked beautifully, but I got too far away from the dead guys inside the inn and they evaded... Fail.

The best way i could imagine using this item is if everyone in your raid had one and you all popped it at the same time, that's a free 10 seconds of dps and the healers can get everyone to full, very effective if used in this way, sadly no one else in my raid group has one :(

The Lumière d’Élune DOES NOT work for looting the chest in the Darkmoon Faire's arena. You CAN NOT loot the chest while under the effects, and you get a similar message to "You cannot loot that right now". It was worth a shot though. I sacrificed mine so that you could keep yours for whatever epic moment it aids you. ;) Confirmed as of 12/10/2011.

I see that it protects you from damage. My big question is, does it protect you from being interupted while interacting with something? Say you are opening a chest or herbalizing, and you get attacked, are you still interupted?

V1.7 just came out today and I don't know if that made a difference, howeverthis item is Soulbound (like most quest items).

So, you cannot sell or trade it, especially in the auction house. Thanx for getting me all worked up. :(

I'd reckon that this is one of the most powerful items in the game!
It makes you completely invulnerable for 10 sec.

Those who vendor it should be banned for lack of intelligence in my opinion.

It may not have been soul bound. I imagine people were making new charaters just to get this item to send it to their mains so they have a stack of them. So blizz made it soulbound.

and figured there would be a point somewhere where this would be absolutely useful. Only thing I can think of was the chest in the arena, but above post says that is prevented now.

I almost used it to loot the chest in the sunken ship with the ghost marines (~lvl30) but partied up to beat it, was about to head back to the bank for this.

So now what can we lvl60 non pallys use this for? Post your ideas!

If you are planning to be a guild's main tank at 60, get this and save it. Who knows when you'll need to pop this baby and get those heals when you aggro Onyxia, Nefarian, the Twin Emps, C'Thun, and Kel'Thuzad, god forbid all of them in one area.

Or hell, it doesn't matter who you are, now EVERYONE can do a Leeroy!

I have a female warrior character (appropriately named Cautious) who is not "allowed" to die. If she does get killed, I delete the character and start over from scratch. I am on my 14th attempt now and have managed to get her all the way to level 46 without dying.

I picked up this potion as soon as I could safely complete the quest and have been holding on to it ever since as my last line of defense. Just today I was in the Swamp of Sorrows doing an easy quest around the Pool of Tears when I got ambushed by Somnus. Within moments I had lost 2/3 of my health and would've definitely been a goner if I did not have this potion on hand. Otherwise, I would've been back to level one once again! Now if only I could get another one...

I do like the idea of that challenge, personally. Especially when they may have gotten multiple toons up to 70. Everyone goes for 70, and those who don't usually sit around with twinks.

On the Light of Elune, my boyfriend and I decided to save it for either Kael or Kiljaeden (coming soon! Woot!). I keep it in my bank, but the poor guy didn't, and it got spent in the middle of Telaar when he was digging through his bags.

I was going to use this in the Shade fight in Kara - after the polymorph phase where he kills me every time with 2 pyroblasts. I was telling someone about my brilliant plan and linked it in chat, but linked from the action bar, not the bag slot........ I drank it in the courtyard outside the instance. DOH!

This is a great item to get. Its around lvl 20 to get it. Its a potion man. Also try setting price around 50g first buyout with 49g bid. If not go down, but definatly good to set it very high. i sold mine for actually around 80g myself

In case you didnt notice, this quest reward, like every other quest reward i have ever run into in this game, is BOP, aka Bind on pick up, sooooo you cant sell it. You cant farm it, you cant get rich from it, maybe try reading the item next time :)

If you intend to sell this item at the auction house, set the price high. I got 6g for it from a buyout only 20 minutes after putting it up. People will pay upwards of 15g or higher for this, especially on PvP servers.

Just found out the hard way that you lose aggro while using this, just like a LIP. Don't waste yours after the tank goes down, the boss will just kill everyone else.

For Hardcore players, this is the macro for your only second chance if you known that you are about to die:

/stopcasting
/use Light of Elune
/use Hearthstone

You must not be moving, so it won't save you if you're running, jumping or falling.
Of course it won't work if your HS is an cooldown, so try to always have your CD when you start a dungeon for example to avoid a wipe.
Choose the shortcut for this macro carefully, so as not to activate it unintentionally and ruin this "second chance".
