The boots are all around the compound, usually near buildings, walls and near the ogres. Just keep an eye out for a sparkling pair of red boots as you're running around.

Shining boots summons some very annoying tiny red lava spiders (usually 3, sometimes 2) with 434 hp a piece.

It appears that if you turn in Recortes estratégicos before this one and leave the area, you won't get your costume back and the quest giver will just attack you...

The quest will bug if you remove your disguise, you will have to abandon and re-accept the quest if you want to continue

I finished the Cuts quest first and then it wouldn't let me turn in this quest. I thought I could drop it and pick it back up and nope. Sucks, I can't finish this questline. I wish they'd fix these bugs.

I just had this glitch on me too. What i did is abandoned the quest , removed the costume & made another one. This made the quest available to me again. Hope this helps .

You can now complete this after Strategic Cuts. Glitch was fixed at some point!

If you lost your disguise, then check your bags to use item and see Quartermaster Kaoshin to complete the quest.

If not in your bags, then abandon quest, remove costume buff, click on table for the ingredients, talk to Thelaron Direneedle to get costume, use the item , see Quartermaster Kaoshin, and then start the quest over again.

i still cant access the quest i did the baddie char quest first n then the shoe shine quest. now i cant access the guy to turn in the quest. i tried taking off the mask but it wont work n ive tried re-doing the costume but nothing works. help?
