Blizzard has noticed that this is a very under-used spell, and it is being changed in WotLK to a 30 second cooldown that costs 0 energy, so druids will be wanting to keep this on CD to maximize their dps.

Considering only white damage and an attack speed of 1 sec, this can equal 60 damage for 30 energy (assuming no misses) also while not triggering global cooldown. Add that you can probably get two Claws off before it runs out, that's an extra 20 damage.

Now that this no longer requires energy to cast, I think it may actually see some use. I guess I have to clear up a space on my casting bar for it. This will give you 786 damage from auto-attacks alone. If you manage to get two special attacks in there, you get 1048 damage. Not bad.

Though Talented this ability becomes nigh-Godlike for Burst Damage during a Berserk Stunlock. 60 free Energy, whose effectiveness is doubled due to the effects of Berserk.

Wait, did you call Berserk a "mini" adren rush? It's far more effective then Adren Rush, as all Adren rush does is increase the amount you regenerate. Berserk essentially doubles all energy in your Pool and that you receive for a good 15 sec, giving it a 100 Energy lead over Adren Rush, or 160 if you use Tiger's Fury with KotJ
This was posted before WotLK, you cannot use Tiger's Fury during a berserk anymore due to the sheer ridiculousness of the above. But I'm leaving this up for Historical Purposes.

its actually 144 dmg, not 131, u forgetitn 10% from Natural Weapons, (majority of feral druids will always have this talent).s o 144*6=864 dmg just from auto atatcks. 1152 with 2 mnore specials, so roughly 1k dmg more every 30 sec, pretty good, if some fights go for 10+ min in raid this can easy add 10/15k more dmg for free and even more if u spec to improve it (king of the jungle)

One very nice thing about this spell is that it isn't linked to the global cooldown, so if you really want to keep it up as long as you can you can easily put it in a macro with shred; something like:
/cast Tiger's fury
/cast Shred
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()

You can pop tiger's fury and berserk simultaneously, since TF doesn't trigger the GCD, you just have to make sure you use TF first. 160 is accurate if you do that.
Tiger's Fury won't let you start at 160 Energy right before a Berserk...?

What is the point of this spell? Why not add five more spells along the lines "press this every 20sec to increase your dps for 4sec"? Am I the only one finding this spell completely retarded?
Of course it's a different matter with the energy return - BUT THAT'S TALENTED.

Also there is now a talent that makes this ability generate 60 energy so save it for the middle of the fight when the additional energy is not wasted.

They really need to change this to do 30 energy in intervals of 15 seconds rather then 30 seconds. 60 all at once and nothing inbetween for 30 more seconds is a poor design.

This is great! It increases your DPS by 10 in battle. Also you go in stealth and use this before a shred or ravage and your energy will be revived by the time you use it. Before a backstab it goes with the +225% normal damage. Addind 22.5 damage to your backstab without doing anything other than waiting an extra second or two (or none if planned right). With ravage it increases your damage by 35! with Tigers fury rank 2 it would increase backtab by 45 damage and your ravage will be increased by 70 damage! Rank 3 would increase backstab by 67.5 and ravage by 105! Rank 4 increases backstab by 90 and ravage by 140 damage! You can add the damage while just walking to your target! Basically 140 damage for free!

if you hit a crit in cat, like you do, of say;

then it would be

lets say you do about 30 (since cats are fast classes, they attack with attack speed of 1)
without doing any skill attacks you have just added 60 dmg
lets say you throw in some skills like claw well each of those do +10 dmg too
it basicly has no real cooldown so you can keep using it as much as you want
just think of it like a rouge having a +10 dmg enchant on their daggers...but for 6 sec
also increases shred dmg by 32 and ravage by 45
rank 2 at 36 is +20dmg so shred by 65 and ravage by 90 i would think
another way to think of it is that this is the druid version of the rouge's hemorrage, execept it does more dmg and is much shorter and works only for your dmg

This is truly our Slice and Dice. Straight up dps increase. I often have it up always.
Tigers fury, ravage, tigers fury, claw, tigers fury, claw etc.

Don't use this in the middle of the battle. Ok here's why: You have 100 energy, and with ferocity that's 3 claws in a row right there(2 claws then during your first or second claw the energy ticks back up and u got nuff for third claw). Lets say ur claw does 50 damage, and since this spell takes up 30 energy you only have 2 claws remaining, would you rather have claws x3 which = 150 or claws +20 x 2 which = 140 ( '50+20' + '50+20') ok a good time to use this: right before pounce or ravage, ravage, use tiger's fury then immediatly use ravage. For pounce u gotta time it right: Ok if you have shredding attacks first use tiger's fury and wait for ur energy to go back up to 100, you should have 2 seconds left of tiger's fury, then pounce, and shred after ur shred ur tiger's fury goes away, and you'll even have enough energy for a second shred! also another time to idealy use this is if you get feared, or stunned and u got 5 combo pts on the enemy, then when u get out of the fear or stun you have to run back anyways so just use this.

Except for the fact that you get white damage. This is the point of Tiger's Fury.

Assume no crits or misses.
Assume 0 energy.
Tiger's = 30 energy
Claw = 40 energy
20 energy regen per tick. (3 secs)
12 seconds = 4 ticks = 2 claws or 2 tiger's +20 energy
In 4 ticks you have 12 swings at 1.0 atk speed.
Claw at lv 25 = 1 swing + 25
2 Claws at lv 25 = 2 swing + 50
With Tiger's Fury, you get 12 swings, all of which have +10 damage on them.
With 2 claws, you have 14 swings + 50.
At 25, my swing does around 30 damage.
so 12*30 +130 = 490
and 14*30 + 50 = 470
490 > 470
This difference becomes irrelevant at claw damage = 40, where claw starts to do more. I hope you'll have upgraded your skills by that point.
Also of note: this divide becomes greater when you factor in that after 8 ticks, Tiger's Fury gets a claw.

Tiger's fury is useful at first but once you get into mangle and higher level claws its best to use TF either before a pounce or ravage or after a fear or stun. I believe energy ticks are two seconds but it doesn't change that equation much. 3 mangles are defianatly better than two mangles plus a tiger's fury.

For those of you who say this move sucks, you should really reevaluate your prejudice.
This move increases your tooltip damage by 10, meaning if your character screen says you do 35-50 damage, your new damage range would be 45-60. Knowing this, you can get the most out of this new damage range by using attacks such as shred and ravage that do damage based on percent of tooltip damage. For example:
Shred (225% damage) = 22.5 extra damage
Ravage (350% damage) = 35 extra damage
So, the best time to use this move is generally right before opening up with a ravage or shred.

This is extremely useful against mobs that you cannot fearie fire and rip, like elementals. I just alternate between claw and TF until I get 5 points and, SWOOF, Ferocious bite takes them out. It really makes up for the inability to debuff and DOT.

A lot of people don't like this spell, but I found a great way to use it in conjunction with OoC. Although OoC does not remove the energy cost of tiger's fury it DOES EFFECT YOUR OTHER ATTACKS!
Step 1. OoC procs
Step 2. Wait for full energy.
Step 3. Pop tiger's fury.
Step 4. MASH CLAW!
The first claw is free, so I can normally get off 3 claws in a row. If I time it right I can get a 4th attack off during the last second I have fury. Sometimes a second OoC procs right after the first, allowing me to get in more than 4 hits.
The result is a chain of very fast, higher damage attacks; full or nearly full combo points, easily followed up with ferocious bite. =)

i agree that TF is very useful when facing elementals.
However i found that noone here added the relevance of the fact that when you use claw/mangle you get 1 or 2(crit) combo points for 40 energy and it is late, and i dont want to do the math right now, but im sure those combo points are more worth it than tigers fury.
ATM i only use TF at beginning of my sequence of attacks. Im a 56 Feral druid.
TF->wait till full energy ->Pounce->Mangle->Shred->Rake->Rip->Mangle FTW
atm this has been my most effective strat, putting those 3 DoT's on the enemy is extremely effective, and atm i have 30% crit chance so after those 4 combo point adding attacks i will almost always have 5 CP's. After the DoT's are applied you can go bear (or go caster for a second and add Moonfire onto the mobs dot's) and keep mangle up to keep the 130% damage increase, while getting your armour bonus, and those DoT's should finish off any mob at your level.
Once i get to 62 and get Maim, its a differant story, because i will more than likely incorporate a stunlock kill style rather than the DoT.
the above sequence is assuming no OOC, against a high lev mob,high armoured mob. As a feral druid you should easily be able to take on 2 or 3 mobs at your level, so i do this DoT style killing on one mob, and then start attacking a differant one as mob A dies. Personally i take on 4 lev 56 mobs (melee classes) and do well by doing this, then going bear and swiping ftw. if my health gets fairly low, i use barkskin->Regrowth->rejuv->back to bear
battle vs 4 mobs takes typically 45 seconds, and is great for levelling.
Anyways, other than that, use good macros (Ravage/Shred) and (Pounce/Mangle)
use:
#show Shred;
/cast Ravage; Shred
i use that in action slot 1
then:
#show Mangle;
/cast Pounce; Mangle
i use that in action slot 2
very simple macros, but ever so handy.
i also use one that has my stealth and rake on the same macro, but i forget atm how i constructed it.
Anyways, hope this helped someone out there in the wide world of azeroth.

always use this b4 shred or ravage, the 225% adn 350% (i don't remember if those actual numbers) will compound this damage, increasing ur hit significantly... andof course ur crits :)
