Soloed as a ret pally. Probably one of the toughest elite mobs faced so far. Strat that I used was to kite the elite mob in a circle inside the room and make sure u have three npcs with you attacking him. Takes about one minute for the npc adds to kill him make sure you use proper CDs if he catches you.

I just made it in time to group up with a player who was already doing the quest, and "luckily" I got the quest criteria complete, although I was never stunned or even saw the Warchief (I wasn't in the correct phasing).

However, now I can't get out of that phasing... I can't see any NPCs or players or objects at all, even in instances. Nothing to do for me but wait for my GM ticket...

Don't rush this quest like I did, or it might majorly screw you over!

I chose to make all three of my civilians healers. When Mor'ghor would stomp, they would heal me to full. As a boomkin I could not go toe to toe with him so I roots kited him.

If you're at all squishy, have all three of your followers be healers. You'll do enough damage by yourself but will take too much to keep it up if you have no healing support. Make sure you jump around the front column on his smash just to be safe.

When you accept this quest, make sure when you get the 3 Dragon-maw helpers, that you make them 'shamans'. The heals are invaluable to a quest that can continually kick your butt otherwise. Ensure also a healing potion as back-up (it never hurts). Good luck.

Got tired of him charging at me while I was channeling shots, so I threw down a Freezing Trap. He was almost dead, too. What ended up happening is it glitched out, froze him while I was on his shoulder, my pet and the three civilians (two warrior, one shaman) were killed and after a minute of sitting there unable to do anything, I died. So traps will work on him, but I don't know if I'd suggest using them...(or at least, freezing)

for me aswell it was bugged...

once he jumped to slam and froze, and second time i somehow was hugging his head and he beat me...

but generally make 3 shamans from citzens and let them nuke him down... at worst case he should be at 15-20% and you can outheal/outnuke him....

I have done this quest with DK, enh shammy and druid cat. Killed on first attempt. My fire mage is a different story. Any ideas? Next try will include 3 healers, mage armor, magic ward, mirror image, fire orb and 10k heal. Hope that works.

If you're a caster just run around the outer ring inside the room he wont path through the fence things. Used 3 healer npcs and none of them actually ever healed me when I was low on health so don't depend on them to actually help you much other then dps.

Soloed this as a prot Pally. I ran in so my support was tied up and eventually they pulled the mobs in the room. About 7 adds total. No problem.

Solo'd it on a warlock. I just recruited 3 healers and made sure my voidwalker took aggro as much as possible.

Well, I've tried this three times now, as a lvl 84 'lock, first used all three NPCs as warriors, then all as healers, then two healers and a warrior, and I've been killed every time. and this last time was bugged, I ended up riding around on his head, and I couldn't get off. Very discouraging!

I'm not sure if something changed in 4.3 as to his health or anything but this was fairly easy as a arms warrior. I had 2 fighters and 1 healer (healer didn't do too much). I did use strength trinkets with bladestorm (probably not the best idea though), and used Retaliation and Shield Wall to reduce some damage. I have Embersilk bandages so when he jumped up I would start healing with those to give myself a few thousand health back.

I did this quest as a lvl84 Marksmanship hunter last night. With my pet attacking him, 3 NPC did not doing anything but standing at my side. So it ended up that he jumped toward me, put me on his shoulder, and jumped to the ceiling. Then, he killed my pet. Meanwhile, I had no idea where those NPC went since I couldn't even see them around. Toward the end, I was dead too. Giving it a 2nd try without my pet, 3 NPC finally started attacking him. Twice, I had to feign death so the NPCs could get aggro not me.

My suggestion will be: DO NOT attack him with a pet! Dismiss yours before the fight.

PS. However, my frost mage's water element pet didn't seem to have any problem with this quest. (Well, this was before patch 4.3.)

Elemental shamans

Civilians:

2x Warrior (DPS)
1x Shaman (Healer)

1. Wait until the shaman gives you earth shield buff. Then cast your own buffs (火舌武器, 闪电之盾).
2. Set your 元素的召唤 to 土元素图腾, 火元素图腾, 治疗之泉图腾 and 空气之怒图腾.
3. Start with 闪电箭 then quickly cast 烈焰震击
4. Use call of the elements. Earth elemental should take the aggro in couple of seconds.
5. Use your spell rotation

Spell rotation that i used for the fight:
1. Flame shock (Only if target doesn't already have it)
2. Unleash elements (If you use flametongue weapon)
3. Lava burst
4. Earth Shock (If more than 7 charges)
5. Lightning bolt

Flame Shock is pretty much a MUST use spell. It will make your lava burst more effective. If you have even close to proper elemental shaman gear, you'll always crit for 15k+ damage with flame shock + Lava burst. Unleash elements is good to use BEFORE lava burst (If you're using flametongue weapon) because it buffs your next fire spell by 20%. Earth Shock with more than 7 charges will deal A LOT of damage. Remember to use it :)

That shaman should be able to keep you alive easily, since your earth elemental will take the aggro. Pretty easy fight.

Okay, first: This is a difficult fight. It took several tries but after 3 days and lots of anger, I accomplished it! I am an 84 warlock. I used my void and was under my demo spec. Put Dark Intent on your pet! 2 DPS and 1 shaman from the dragon maw. Have a soulstone and hearthstone at the ready! Make sure Felblade (in front of the cave) is down and out first! Go to the side and hit Metamorphosis and Immotlation Aura. Then used Immolate and ran towards the front of the cave! GO OUT TO THE FRONT! When he does the slam your pet and DM will run it but you won't get hit by it. This helped keep me alive.

It is meant to be solo'd so if you can't find someone else in the same phase just keep at it. It took me several attempts. Once he hits near the end of health. Use Drain Soul! Finish with SB. Also, I used Hellfire and and Seed of Corruption in the middle. Light his ass up with everything you have, it's the only way to beat him. Once he's dead you can go back outside without any worries. You take the town and everyone become friendly. Garrosh meets you out there so you don't have to walk anywhere to turn in the quest. Oh, and they throw fireworks lol :)

Did this with a Balance Druid. Wasn't easy but just ran around the building healing myself and casting moonfire, insect swarm and typhoon on him :D Whenever he did the Mor'ghor Slam I ran behind the wall and healed myself :P

Pathetic quest, no repairs on the port incase you die alot (very likeley) and it's just frustrating finding your way back to Dragonmaw Port. I just abandoned it just like many other quests just like this one.

The hardest thing about this fight is if Mor'ghor decides to pick you up and use you as a stick to beat your helpers. Once he does this, for me, the fight is over. I will be dead very soon. None of my controls work. There's nothing to do but wait to die. If anyone knows how to get out of this hold, please let me know. It is very upsetting to be so completely helpless.

If you do get killed while fighting, go ahead and race back to your body. If you get there and he is fighting Zaela, you still have a chance. Resurrect and find a good point at which to join the fight--like when it seems certain you can win. If you get there when he is alone and already back to 100% health, then go back outside to the roof and resurrect there. That way you can get your helpers and try again from scratch.

I have done this fight multiple times with various characters because I was helping my guild gain the Classy achievement. My husband and I keep a character on this quest so that if one of us has to fight Mor'ghor, the other one can come help. We don't always need help, but it's nice to have a backup.
