to clarify: you do not have to get past the shark to complete this quest! you find a turtle, mount it, swim around a bit, get eaten by the shark, then return to the quest giver. easy!

The joke is that the quest is presumably going to take forever, since the turtle is so slow. You cannot save the turtle.

Stupid? I feel stupid. I kept killing off turtles aiming for the yellow question mark on the min map. The map was trying to tell me I had completed the quest, but I wasn't listening.

I had some trouble completing this quest because on the first try I managed to avoid the Frenzied Reef Shark and actually rode the turtle all the way back to Mohana, but her question mark was gray and it did not say I had "Mounted the Sea Turtle" despite that I was sitting on its back.

Long story short - I killed myself to dismount, went back, made sure I was not in combat, mounted a turtle, and just sat there. Shark showed up, knocked me off the turtle, "Mount Sea Turtle" completed, question mark lit up. Hope that helps.

In order to get you must complete before accepting.
and are NOT needed to take and followups, however that would make you unable to get.
蕾蒂拉拉的项链 have 0% drop chance before done and 100% after, however anyone can share you this quest as long as you are 80+lvl.
Anyone can take and do it's followups as long as they are 80+lvl. Quests above are NOT needed for it.

Lady La-La's necklace drops for Lady La-La's Medallion. There are conflicting reports of what quests are needed for the item to drop.
This is also a good time to kill Gilblingle for waterlogged journal which starts Blackfin's Booty.

I was surprised like a previous person that no one mentioned where the turtles are. So I wasted a few minutes looking around for the turtles, a previous poster found the secret, but instead of sharing it said "nevermind." Downrated.

The turtles are yellow NPC's that are swimming in the area to the southeast as noted on the in-game map. When you get close to one, left click on it, then click on the baitstick which you should have on your taskbar or somewhere handy. If you right click, you will have to fight and kill the turtle.

Don't worry about finding your way back, you will never make it. Just glide along like you are swimming and the shark will wack the turtle and you will fall off. The words "Quest Completed" will appear.

While in the area, notice the yellow exclamation point and see Andarrah to get the "Gimme Shelter" quest.

Go to the yellow question mark on the map and turn the quest in.

This was the single most traumatizing quest I have ever done in WoW.
