You sir, are verry confused. The "better looking fiery version" you're reffering to isn't the .
The fiery anzu mount doesn't have a faction requirment so it doesn't matter if wether you're Alliance or Horde.

Kinda stuppid you actually thought that would be a Raven Lord, does a Raven Lord look like a steed to you? (To me it doesn't)

So just take a chill pill, your farming efforts won't be thrown away...

And still, the normal Anzu still is frigin awesome

Even if you are talking about a different mount, are YOU EFFIN kidding me? With the release of the guild rewards, you know what the alliance got stuck with? A freakin' LION! Horde got a massive Scorpion dude, and you think that's fair? Blizz is just making it up to the Alliance characters for giving them the crappy end of that deal.

Anyone else notice that this is set as Bind to Battle.net Account? Doesn't seem like a PTR bug, since other bugged items (such as the Legendary staff) were all set to Bind on Equip.

The Horde version is also.

New PvP ground mounts, the 勇猛的战狼 (Horde) and 勇猛的战驹 (Alliance), will be awarded to players for completing achievements to win 75, 150, and 300 Rated Battlegrounds respectively, rather than for being in the top .5% of the ladder at the end of each season as with Arenas. This award system is to better compliment the spirit of Battlegrounds. One account-bound mount will be awarded for each achievement unlocked, allowing players who obtain 150 and 300 Rated Battleground wins to earn this mount a second and third time. The additional mounts earned can then be sent to alt characters, given they’re account-bound. These mounts are awarded as soon as an associated achievement is unlocked and do not correspond with end-of-season rewards.

This mount is rewarded for winning 75 rated battlegrounds. Seems fairly easy to get. Hopefully the 150 and 300 wins yeilds a different model.

I think the Night Elves are underfunding the PvP war effort. They have awesome mean looking tigers yet where are they? Wonder why there are no Vicious War Tigers, how cool would that be?

If you really want to balance the Alliance out from giving the Horde a Scorpion guild mount and now a Vicious Wolf mount, give us a Tiger, not a pony that eats apples with a few spiky armor strapped on him

Something I noticed recently - The Vicious War Steed has a Troll head, Goblin head, Forsaken head and Orc head tied to it. Horde's 勇猛的战狼 just has skulls (though maybe that'll change - it's weird that the Alliance steed would have the decapitated heads on it, but the Horde one would just have unidentifiable skulls).

Confirmed that this item correctly turns into Vicious War Wolf when mailed to your Horde toons.

I've actually managed to acquire two of these mounts while only winning 75 rated BGs by:
1. using the mount received in the mail 勇猛的战驹 as intended
2. receiving a paid faction change
3. receiving the 勇猛的战狼 horde equivalent in the mail as a horde character
4. sending the 勇猛的战狼 to my alt on alliance side.

Wicked mount ... i saw a guy on Silvermoon with it and its totally insane mount ! With the spikes , with the alliance flag and WAIT .... Troll , Undead , Goblin and Orc skulls roped on the back of the horse LOL ! Wicked

Seems fairly easy to get.

Easy to get? Rated Battlegrounds are a major time commitment in terms of organization and play time equal to if not greater than progressive raiding. With each battleground taking between 20 to 30 minutes it will, in aggregate, take at a minimum 37.5 hours to get to 75 wins - assuming you win every match - in order to obtain the first mount, let alone subsequent mounts, and it's certainly not going to be easy: A lot of blood will be spilled.

It is very difficult to PUG Rated Battlegrounds and win consistently. As of 4.2.2 you typically need a minimum of ~3,500 resilience, at least three good healers, and a flag carrier (Prot Warrior or Blood DK) to have a shot at winning.
Unlike regular battlegrounds or raids, where communication is limited to BG chat and there is no distinct leader, you are going up against an organized opposing team of players.
Unlike raiding, there is no guarantee that you are going to win even if you do everything right.
The more you win the higher your MMV (Match-Making Value) becomes, and therefore the more difficult your opposing teams become, making it even more challenging to win.

This is not to say it isn't possible, because it most certainly is, only that it is not easy (or quick). It is challenging, requires time, and is probably going to be filled with a lot of fun (and occasional frustration) along the way.

Definitely my favorite mount! It has such a high level of detail on it that I've found myself looking all around the horse to admire the different details. (Has anyone noticed how the eye glow flickers on/off, menacingly?)

Only suggestion I have is maybe give it a unique /mountspecial. The horde wolf got its own unique mountspecial that sets it apart from the other horde wolf mounts. This one simply shares the horse mode special.

That's my only TINY complaint. Other then that, amazing mount! I love it!

The reason there is no blood elf or tauren head on this mount is because they just so happend to be paladins....and they bubble hearthed before they could land the kill.

Idk why people keep saying this is an easy mount to get. Rbgs take at least 20minutes each mostly around 30minutes. so if you won all 75 games you would still be looking at 30hours+
