This is the new version of Shadow Dance. For those who were caught off guard, I'll give a quick rundown of the changes.

It functions almost exactly as the old version with a few tweaks:

It now lasts for 3 seconds, instead of 8 (10, if considering the Draenor Perk)
It has 3 charges instead of single use.

But the cooldown is still 1 minute.

At first it may look like it got nerfed, but we have a new passive: Deepening Shadows.
What it does is that it reduces the cooldown of Shadow Dance by 3 seconds per combo point, for a total of 15 seconds per 5 combo points used. This makes Shadow Dance come out of cooldown incredibly fast, allowing its use every 20 to 25 seconds or so.

All in all, it feels more manageable, and no more "I just cast Shadow Dance and the boss flew away" type of things.

yeah it's good for dps and all... but we all know the real reason rogues use this is in-combat pickpocketing!

One aspect of SD that I feel is not emphasized enough is the fact that SD drops your threat completely. Whilst this is generally a good thing for a dps that has aggro, it creates the frustrating situation that when we're off-tanking in emergencies we cannot reliably continue our rotation when Evasion is up and we have aggro (and possibly for one or two hits after, especially with Cheat Death). Because it's so natural to use it, this can unintentionally lead to much more deaths than the 10+ seconds Evasion would have provided otherwise.

If you have the Disguise spell and you pickpocket your target after exiting stealth, you won't lose your disguise even after the target engages you in combat. Just a fun little interaction.
