Obviously a baseline DPS cooldown for all Rogues.

Shadow Damage seems like a cursory buff. I would assume attacks would completely ignore armor while dealing shadow damage, but only autoattacks. I assume that effect would be more valuable for Combat than Subtlety or Assassination (which are less reliant on autoattack damage).

The extra combo point feature will be lovely, but it basically shoehorns Rogues into taking Anticipation (As if they weren't already, amirite?) for single-target to avoid wasting combo points or performing finishers with less than four combo points.

Very interesting talent, and I'd like to see how it plays out.

Shadow Blade/Shadow Blade Off-hand replaces autoattack for the duration. This means your autoattack will fully bypass armor for the duration of the buff.

This ability synchronizes very well with Adrenaline Rush. They both have a 3 minute cooldown and both of their cooldowns are reduced by 2 seconds per combo point every time you use a damaging finishing move, thanks to Restless Blades. Only their durations differ by 3 seconds, AR being 15 seconds and Shadow Blades being 12 seconds.

Pair this ability with Adrenaline Rush while you have and Anticipation and you'll get the maximum out of your cooldowns.

As akumaxx pointed out, if you have Item - Rogue T15 4P Bonus, using those two abilities at the same time may not be a good idea as it will most likely cause you to cap your energy, which is a dps loss.

This ability seemed a bit lackluster at first, but after using it I have to say it is rather strong.

For all specs, increases auto attack damages by completely bypassing armor, which may not sound like a lot but I was seeing auto attacks do ~50% more damage. It works very well with haste because of the increased auto attacks and increased energy for more combo point generating abilities. It also works much better for abilities with lower energy/combo point cost.

Assassination- Best if use one early to ensure you get one during your Dispatch phase, it is just stronger during this phase because of the lower energy cost on Dispatch.
Combat- Use on cool down with Adrenaline Rush/Restless Blades very well for rapid combo point generation.
Subtlety- Avoid using during Shadow Dance, for the same reasons as Assassination, instead use it while backstabbing.

I personally think that Combat got the bigger end of the stick from this ability, but Subtlety is close behind. Combats synched cool downs make it very strong, but at the same time, Sinister Strike costs more energy than Backstab, and Subtlety's new Mastery also increases the effectiveness of Slice and Dice, which ultimately will increase the damage of Shadow Blades.

The only thing we need is a NEW ANIMATION. Really blizz? All we get is slightly purple hands, I am still voting for the purple Warglaives idea that someone thought of.

This Ability bypasses Hand of Protection granted by paladins (as you deal shadow instead of physical)
