It seems like this can get bugged somehow. I accept the quest but Orbyth does not appear. I have tried abandoning the quest and restarting the game. Will open ticket and update my comment.

Edit: No idea if blizzard fixed it or what, but I logged out and tried 3 hours later and it worked perfectly.

Also bugged for me. Dalaran port didn't work but Zen Pilgrimage as a Monk did the trick.

For those having issues with Orbyth not appearing, abandon the quest, log out, THEN grab the quest again. Worked for me. Happy Questing!

If you're in a group with a phased out players the NPCs will not spawn. I left the group and retook the quest, and the NPCs appeared just fine.

Currently a neat trick with this guy is not to kill him but wait until Orbyth spawns the Excess Power

These give 541 xp (at least while I'm at level 107) and die in one hit

Standing just inside the water and healing yourself (I'm a holy priest) while killing them is an easy and relaxing way to get fast xp :O

Ael'Yith Also spawns them (he did it for the previous quest too though i didn't think of farming them at that point.)

Interesting.

Senegos finally got bored of the lasers going through him and killed Ael though, aww.

As a Shaman, this quest is only offering me 2 rewards regardless of spec: the Invigorating Crystal and the Crystallized Whelp Egg, both of which are for the Resto artifact. And I main Elemental. Yay...

Not sure if this was a change made to the quest at some point or a bug, but I'm submitting a ticket anyway.

Ael'Yith despawned right as I was killing him. I finished off Orbyth and still no quest completion. Found a tip in a bug report on the battle net forums. Turns out there's a glitch that sometimes causes Ael'Yith to spawn too early and killing him causes it to appear you killed Orbyth. Abandoning and restarting the quest fixed it.

Orbyth and Ael'Yith located ouside of cave, next to Senegos. You have to defeat Orbyth first, then Ael'Yith will jump down and you can make him dead. After that awesome quest chain will be done, thanks all who wrote those quests. And thanks Runas for his adventure, there are his last words before you go:

LVLING/FARMING RESTED XP by killing Excess Power mobs

zone: Azsuna-Legion
class: better for classes with max 15 sec CD on interrupt/kick spell

1. choose Azsune questline from map strike point in Order Hall (optional)
2. complete questline in Illidari Stand (part 1 of achiev Azsuna Matata is Behind Legion Lines)
3. complete quests at Azsurewing Repose & quests of Runas the Shamed at Ley-Ruins at Zarkhenar and flyquest back to Azsurewing Repose
4. complete 2 quest and u will get Hunger's End quest (DONT FINISH THIS QUEST)

Hunger's End quest is to kill Orbyth and Ael'Yith

Kill Orbyth and start farming Excess Power mobs from Ael'Yith which are spawn with Wild Magic Wild Magic spell every 20 sec (4 of them)

Using this tacts atm:
- nuke down Orbyth and Ael'Yith jumps down

- position yourself facing back to the wall/stone in front to the Ael'Yith

- He begin casting Energy Expulsion, u can position yourself (and standing still) so u wont get knockback

- after that he cast Energy Drain spell IMPORTANT that u interrupt it (it is long cast/channeled time + annyoing and so u can maximize xp in shortest time)

- after that he cast Wild Magic which spawns Excess Power to random location (cuz u are back to wall/stone all spawns at random location will come infront of u, they wont get behand your back)

- single target those 4 Excess Power mobs (try to minimize dmg to Ael'Yith, macros are helpfull)

- and repeat sequence (each last about 20 sec, depend when/if u interput Energy Drain spell)

Ael'Yith fight sequence
* Spell Energy Expulsion (do nothing, position for knockback)
* Spell Energy Drain (MUST interrupt)
* Spell Wild Magic -> kill 4 spawn mobs (those mobs are farmable and gives huge xp with low HP - 1 shot)

- u can reset Ael'Yith by leaving area or abandon/repick Hunger's End quest

farming these give average over 1k rested exp per mob (around 5k per sequence) depend on your char lvl
(it increases with guild banner, darkmoon buff, 13th anni Blizz buff, holiday events xp buffs, .....)

pros & cons
+ fast rested exp
+ u are phased nobody cant interrupt you
+ INN nearby (in cave)
+ flypoint nearby
+ additional xp increases with buffs
+ easy resetting
+ lvling alts and resting at INN
- it gets boring
- less effective (without rested exp) (-useless)!

P.S. This is similiar farming rested xp to WoD and repicking quest Shadows Awaken by killing Karnoth from lvl 90-93/94 (for ally only or horde counterpart in BladeSpine citidel).

The quest ended very abruptly in my opinion. No follow-up quest except going to the south for the other quest hub, and Khadgar disappeared without saying anything? And where are the other named dragon? Where's Stellagosa? :/

I just wanted to say thank you for this, got my ENH shammy 5 levels in one night AFK!

I couldn't get macro with wind shear interrupt working without damaging Ael'Yith, so I just made one that targeted the excess power orbs with lightning and Healing Surge.

Slower, but I'll take 5 levels while I sleep LOL!

In the Dragonflight quest The Booty Bay Journal , you can optionally flip through Senegos' journal to find this entry:

"For you, Runas. The journal entry for today is just--for you.

Thank you."

Even old Senegos got hit with the feels with us.
