There's a small depression just SW of the quest giver. It's filled with wooden boxes (the quest item) and tunnelers. Very quick and simple.

Those without mining or jewel crafting may want to bank these 5 fel iron ore for the Shattered Halls Key quest line that starts at level 68. The quest requires 4 Fel iron bars to complete, so this reward gives you nearly 1/2 the ore you need.

Just a quick note to say hunters CAN use Track Treasure to find these. Just head straight on to the road, very easy to complete without taking on anything.

Freelighter sort of stated it but, despite the fact this npc is sitting right at the base of thrallmar these quests are open to alliance players as well as horde.

Seems they randomly appear as you retrieve each one, After running along the edge of the ravine I saw only 2. I grabbed the 1st one at about 48,37. Ran along the edge of the ravine and then saw 2 more. Very simple. Biggest challenge was dodging the worms.

If you go in the pit at 49,40 to get the boxes, the jumping rocks are not just jumping rocks. If you get too close to them, it can aggro a Marauding Crust Buster, which apparently caused the rocks to jump in the first place. Levels are 58-60, which isn't too hard for a level 61 (the recommended level for this quest, as shown above), but it's very annoying all the same. Just look for the little sparkly boxes, avoid the acrobatic rocks, and you'll do just fine. Or, if you kill enough of the Crust Busters, you will eventually get the item Eroded Leather Case. This starts the quest Missing Missive, which can be acquired at level 58. You have to be at least 61 to get the other quests the npc grants you after that, but it's a justified reason to go after the rocks inside the pit.

It is in fact a neutral quest, although one would question why an Alliance would aid a goblin in establishing a Horde mine...

Nah. Outland doesn't suck. Hellfire peninsula, blade's edge mountains and netherstorm suck. Zangarmarsh, shadowmoon valley and terrokar forest are ok; nagrand is lovely!

1. Outland Sucks!
• Accept Outland Sucks! from Foreman Razelcraz at coords 51.2, 30.6 (Northwest of Thrallmar).
• Travel southwest toward coords 47.6, 39.9 and loot 6 Shredder Spare Parts along the way, which are located in boxes named Shredder Parts.
• Travel northeast to coords 51.2, 30.6, and turn in the quest to Foreman Razelcraz.

so for those who don't play the game since olden times

Seems that this quest (or hub) basicly continues the system from vanilla wow where you were not always pointed out to every quest in the zone (even achievment used to be finish XX quests, instead of finishe specific storylines)

as such it is easy to miss this quest for the alliance player, as I didn't found ANY pointer towards this during my last leveling in Hellfire (on Shadowlands Prepatch)

Description

I can't believe I left Booty Bay to come to Outland. My cousin Screed Luckheed promised me I would make a fortune, but instead he flew off in his zeppelin and left me here to try to scrape a living out of this mine. How am I supposed to make a living here with helboars and demons and fel orcs attacking all the time? My shredder here was broken yesterday and the parts I need to fix it were stolen by fel orcs. They took the parts into the fissure to the southwest and may have dropped them there.
