I guess this is good since Myth 4/4 is 3ilvl higher than crafted Aspect's gear.
Is there a typo in the article? World quest instead of World class yay?
This is indeed an excellent very bookmarky overview! Thank you.
...probably not the best idea to use your extremely precious catalyst charges on converting non-tier slot gear into 'tier' gear, unless:1: You already have 4/4 tier pieces of the difficulty that you're completing, and2: Your non-tier slot gear piece that you're converting to happens to have your BiS stats. (i.e. converting a crit-mast cloak into a 'tier' cloak for a guardian druid).EDIT: Specified that the above guidance only applies to season 3 gear. Season 2 gear that you get from Dreamsurges, Time Rifts, and the Suffusion Camp can be freely converted into tier at absolutely no cost. This can be used to very easily get a full set of 437 Season 2 tier, and the weekly tokens from the Dreamsurge and Time Rift allow you to make up two pieces of ilevel 450 Season 2 tier per week.
Tier set cloak for Druids looks pretty good, haste/vers. Shame I just turned down a myth track cloak in my GV!
This is a big point of confusion for me in game. The only way to tell WHAT can be converted into WHAT is to go to the catalyst. It's fairly obvious for the current season gear, but the past season gear is really confusing. Never sure whether the Time Rift, Dreamsurge and similar gear will be converted. I'm pretty sure the iLvls have changed with each season as well making it even more confusing. For example, the Forbidden Reach gear would drop at upgrade 2/3 and would convert to normal raid gear. I haven't been able to unlock LFR for Vault of the Incarnates gear. Have no idea if it's just not possible or if there is some old gear I should be buying that I'm unaware of.Would really like to see:- any armor piece that can be converted be marked as such in its tooltip- some way of indicating what it could be converted into.- Tooltips in the Appearance Items and Sets tab that tell you what gear are candidates for transforming into a particular piece. Ultimately the appearances tab should be the go to place that lets you know how to get a certain piece of gear.Right now every time I get a lower level piece of gear I usually lug it around until I have time to visit the catalyst. I never quite remember what can get converted. And new stuff like the Emerald Dream drops, I have no idea yet.
good list, bookmarked.I was tired of flying over to the catalyst to check each season.Theres almost always 1 piece that you can convert for bis stats once you dont need the tier pieces anymore. Or for transmog. Especially during Sepulcher i was constantly converting cloaks and belts into set-style appearances for a lot of classes. Especially helpful for LFR colors where everyone simply rools need all the time.
Slow news day? Catalyst converts non-tier pieces into tier pieces .
I mean yeah that's great except due to only one charge every other week and it you have extremely bad luck like these past three weeks have been for me it will take months for complete sets. I have four pieces of gear I can use but no charges so yea great post for a flawed system that did not need the change .
I went from 1-set to 4-set in 1 day. This is the only upside to the gearing/game right now. Loot still sucks and bad luck protection doesn't exist. Not fun anymore.
