More Nerfs Coming for Sepulcher Bosses Soon Due to AoTC and CE Being Removed on August 2nd

Yes, we intend to close the current raiding tier for achievements such as Ahead of the Curve with the weekly reset the week of August 2.

We have additional tuning in the works, with a focus on the end encounters of Sepulcher. We know that currently far fewer guilds are on track to get Cutting Edge in particular than in past tiers and we want to address that in the coming weeks, before Season 3 ends.

Doubt you Mythic raid. Guilds that between prog/heroic/keys and such expect roughly 30 hours a week from players are JUST now getting CE. Overal nerf:
Health nerf by about 10-15%
Another slight nerf to torment, 10% most likely

Phase 1 nerfs:
perhaps a very small nerf to tyranny, but I doubt it.
Rune explosion damage reduced by 25%

Phase 2 nerfs:
Shield on mind controlled players reduced by 20%
Damage from ranged Decimator reduced by 10%, main hit unchanged

Phase 3 nerfs:
Cast time on ads increased by 1 seconds
Health of ads reduced by 20%
Amount of torments that go out reduced depending on group sizing (reduces mobs spawned)
Total amount of healing needed to break the mind controls reduced by 20%
Defile growth rate per tick of damage reduced

Now lets see how wrong I am. I am not saying I want these nerfs, but I do expect them on these kinda levels to bring in more AotC players. But this should smash most critical points for players while still maintaining the whole dance you need to do. Ofcourse, I ain't no dev so perhaps I only hit the right spells they nerf just not with the right percentages. We shall see! I am curious how many I got right.

My guild isn't AotC yet. We had a 2% wipe last tuesday so we are really really close to getting him down.Comment by VSozonov

So the thing is that what's needed for CE this tier is MUCH greater than what's been required for CE in pretty much any tier prior to this. The difficulty of the raid relative to the amount of time the raid is available is just not nearly in proportion to other tiers. This season had a slow start because of having to farm normal & heroic just to get your 4-piece just to do Mythic. It was terribly unfun having to waste your time for a month just to step into Mythic.

This entire expansion, every raid "tier", was designed to not only have too many mechanics per boss, but too many unforgiving mechanics. Denathrius, Anduin, Lords of Dread, and Rygelon come to mind....

A raid should not be punished with a wipe if a single taunt is missed, if a single person kites something wrong, or someone forgets to clear a stack. These things should have a way for a raid to recover, especially if they're 2 or 3 phases into an encounter.

The shear amount of things a team needs to manage is just ridiculous. Two or three key mechanics, sure...but 5 or 6, with some of them being unforgivable? They somehow make more and more bad decisions, while losing player base, clearly they dont care about the playerbase.

The Jailer's 11 minute gauntlet of positioning checks, one-shots and holes is too much to prog in 4 weeks for a guild of lighthearted casuals. Roster issues set us behind mid-tier and we never recovered thanks to this brilliant cut-short season.

I'm not saying anyone is entitled to CE. But when the raid outscales the natural player skill growth while also being disproportionately shorter than it should be, there is a big problem.
