I soloed this 4-5 hours ago as a 590 Brewmaster Monk, on live servers post Season 1 starting.

I pushed one delve up to level 11 and after completing it, did the T12 and T13 Zekvir fights - it took me 4-5 attempts solo, but i've since tried it again a few minutes ago and it took 10-11 tries, mainly due to RNG on ability queing and Brann targeting.

The delve chest at the end also dropped a Void Skin unlock item for the Delve Dirigible.

At 590 ilvl, the boss 1-2 shots most tanks, and Brann does most of your damage, but as a Brewmaster with some good RNG it is definitely possible.

UPDATE - 15.02.2025 - End of Season
Tried him again at ilvl 622. It took a few goes to relearn the fight but he's definitely a lot easier now if you're looking to get the achievement before the season ends!

I'm in my Deathbringer tank dps gear (lots of crit) and I haven't really changed my Unholy spec much since launch so I don't think these things matter too much. I would say Clawing Shadows and a health pot are a must have!

UPDATE - 06.10.2024 - Post Hotfix
Another hotfix sometime last week has made this possible again! There is still a substantial amount of white damage (auto attacks) going out and it can be frustrating if you play a class without a magic dispel or immunity, this is because he can crit you with a melee attack at the same time the dot from his spittle ability ticks which will do just over 5m total within a GCD.

Certainly doable by most classes now! Remember using a freedom ability (Blessing of Freedom / Tiger's Lust / Druid Shapeshift) will also remove the DoT. DKs can use Anti-Magic Shell just before the cast finishes to avoid the ability too.

UPDATE - 13.09.2024 - Post Hotfix
A recent hotfix to delves has suddenly made this fight insanely out of reach for me. Zekvir now slaps Brann into another plane of existence almost immediately with me shortly behind! The scaling on delves in general is strange and this hotfix doesn't feel quite right either, so right now I'm convinced there will be further adjustments or this boss isn't supposed to be possible until Brann hits max level. I will keep updating with further attempts!

If you want to just see the boss's abilities, then my video is still useful. The general tactics will remain the same, it's just very very hard to survive his damage when Brann isn't tanking it all for you.

OLD - 11.09.2024 - Pre-hotfix

Earned this today as an ilvl 596 Unholy DK, my strategy was to let my level 18 Brann (4/4 Idol of Final Will + 4/4 Amorphous Relic) solo the boss while I stayed alive. That's not even exaggerating too much either, Brann did 64% of the damage and his devilsaur did 14% - so I contributed the remaining 22%.

With such low gear the fight is quite RNG dependent, Brann's Final Will timings had to line up with the eggs spawning or I would not be able to kill them and it would be really hard to recover. If you're struggling with this fight I recommend taking the first phase slow and saving your CDs for immediately after he finishes channeling "Black Blood" at around 50-60% HP.

Unholy DK is great for this fight because as long as you kick his heal you can always use Anti-Magic Shell to prevent his poison from applying. Brann will sometimes use his kick too and I always saw him use it very quickly, so if the cast gets to the half way point you can assume he isn't kicking the cast. If an add did spawn I tried to use stuns and death grips to stop its casts, however if the add got a cast off in the second phase I would almost certainly die.

EDIT: Something I forgot to add, I have /petattack bound to my Scourge Strike and this seemed to help with getting Brann to hit the eggs (might have just been the devilsaurs) so if you are a non-pet class maybe using a /petattack macro could be useful!

What is the strategy to beat Zekvir?
Unfortunately my recording software was disabled for my first kill, but I did it again and recorded a much cleaner attempt. The only consumables I used were Flask of Alchemical Chaos and an Algari Healing Potion (both silver quality). The video shows the strategy better than I could write out in a comment. It is honestly very simple when compared to the Mage Tower fights in Legion and Shadowlands, it is just gear checked pretty hard especially at this point in the season. If you really want the void skin for the delver's dirigible I think this is going to be quite easy to do late into the season.

How do I unlock this delve?
I believe it was officially announced (or it's at least listed on WoWhead's guide here: https://www.wowhead.com/guide/the-war-within/achievements/glory-of-the-delver) that you have to clear every delve on T11 to unlock this one. I can confirm that is definitely not true. I cleared every delve on T3 and only Earthcrawler Mines up to T11 as I believe it is the easiest one. No shade to the author of that WoWhead guide, that was written with the information we had at the time of its publication and it's clear Blizzard has changed their minds or there is some sort of bug.

What Brann build did you use?
DPS Brann with 4/4 Idol of Final Will and 4/4 Amorphous Relic. These were the only 4/4 curios that I had going into the fight and I think I got very lucky because they feel incredibly strong. I thought you could upgrade the curios by collecting multiple lower level tiers, but I now don't think this is true. I got both of my 4/4 curios from T8 bountiful delves (Zekvir dropped another on the first kill).

Killed it after 18 attempts as Fury warrior, Let Brann do most the stuff and then just kick the heal.
Never kick spittle, You can use any spell that removes movement impairing effects to remove the debuff.

Brann is a bit annoying when he gets feared out of the room and he resets the boss =)

Strats using Brann as a DPS and Idol of Final Will are very accurate, but if you're here wondering if you're doing something wrong: Very likely no. It is still EXCEPTIONALLY RNG reliant. All the way down to even Brann and the boss's positioning. If Brann doesn't cast idol during the egg sack? Death. If Brann is standing out of LoS of the egg and he casts idol? Death. If the Boss is standing between Brann and the egg? Death. If Brann gets feared during the idol cast? Death. Hell, I've had Brann - for some reason - disengage to the side mid-cast and COMPLETELY whiff it when it would have hit dead on. Success or failure relies on Brann's positioning. It's also entirely possible for his AI to flip out during phase 2 and *repeatedly* run into multiple brown swirls on the ground and kill himself.

Solo'd today as a 602 at the time hunter. Had my level 24 Brann as DPS with Unbreakable Iron Idol (1/4) and the Amorphous Idol (1/4). As every above is saying it was VERY RNG dependent. I always opened with misdirecting to Brann, and about 10% of the time it worked. After that then I just started my DPS rotation. The claw slam DOES go through turtle, so just have to save move speed CDs for that. Once I got to the 15% to 20% HP range was when Brann on bad RNG would die, but my pet would be able to tank using the defensives I'd been able to save with Brann tanking, otherwise a base auto would 1 shot my pet for typically over 5 million damage. Even with the RNG dependent runs, it was still a blast.

Main strategy I used was kiting the boss away from Brann to not get him feared. Diffuse Magic myself and Tiger's Lust Brann to dispel him. While spam healing him. It took me 30-40 attempts and a bit of good rng to get. Don't give up!

Ummmm... i just solo'd this dude in his lair and killed him. I did NOT give me the let me solo achievement it just gave me the defeat him in his lair feat of strength... not exactly sure what i did wrong here...

This achievement is much harder for certain classes. I did mine as a 594 evoker, and it was really painful (12/09/2024)

the fight with zekvir is higly dependent on rng (brann is a !@#$%) and you need a way to dispel the dot.
For Evokers. deep breath was my only option.

Tanks, dks and some classes with immunities make this fight much easier, altough still really really hard. With my evoker, it was super hard and felt really good to beat.

Use final will for brann, it does big dmg to adds.
Save bloodlust and big cds for phase 2. Dodge everything. Interrupt the heal and burst down the adds. Do that over and over, and you'll eventually luck out!

Just did this as a 598 Herald of the Sun Ret paladin with a 33 Brann using 4/4 Final Will and 2/4 Amorphous.

Just wanna reiterate what other people have already said, this is a very RNG reliant fight, hardest part being the adds if one of them spawns it makes it significantly harder to recover and kill the boss.
Brann does great dps but you can't really count on him targeting the eggs, sometimes he pretty much kills them solo, sometimes he never hits them.
Final will does a lot of damage but in my experience, most of the time Brann will either get feared before getting it off or he'll jump on his gryphon before the cast ends causing him to almost always miss the shot.
The dot is quite easy to deal with as a paladin, you can just remove it with freedom and if you precast it, it prevents the debuff from being applied, made a /target Brann macro to cleanse him as well and have him take less damage.

Also, the void dirigible drops from one the chests in the end, not from the boss or the achievement, so don't be an idiot like me and hearthstone out immediately after killing the boss or you'll have to do it again.

Whatever hotfix was implemented tonight has made this boss entirely undoable now. Prior to 9 pm est he was tankable through Brann and mechanics could be done. He is now 1-2 shotting Brann. Not sure if this was intended but that's pretty horrible feeling.

I think the most important aspect of this which should be known is that this required you to do the Zekvir's Lair at level thirteen. This is not explicitly stated in the description but it appears to be the case.

After the hotfix changes below, this appears to be much much more difficult than before. It is said that Blizzard intended this achievement to be of similar difficulty to the Mage Tower in Legion, which means it is intended to be very very difficult and require relatively high gearing.

This short guide was made by me before the September 12th hotfixes making this fight much harder currently. Brann is either bugged or nerfed in this delve and is doing considerably less damage to the point he will not tank Zekvir for you if you are trying to do this as dps. That being said, this guide should still work as a general strategy when either you have high enough gear to attempt it OR Blizzard makes the fight doable with lower ilvl again.

BOSS ABILITIES IN P1-

Claw Smash- Frontal Cone, long range, targets either you or Brann, one shot kill.
Horrendous Roar- AOE fear around the boss, does massive damage, can survive with large defensives but if you have reaction time it's always dodgeable.
Enfeebling Spittle- Interruptable cast, does enough DOT damage to kill you but with a large defensive + offhealing yourself you can maybe survive.
Regenerating Carapace- Interruptable cast, heals the boss for 10% of his HP.
Angler's Web- Straight line frontal, if it hits you the boss sucks you in and hits for a massive amount of damage.
Call Web Terror- Spawns a cocoon along the outer walls of the arena that begins a timer, if the cocoon does not die before the timer hits 0, a spider spawns.

Spider Ability-
Web Blast- Interruptable cast, stuns you for 4 seconds and hits for a large chunk of damage.
Spider is vulnerable to all forms of CC.

BOSS ABILITIES IN P2-

EVERYTHING FROM BEFORE
Unending Spines- rocks will begin falling from the ceiling.
The boss will open void portals that teleport you to a different void portal if you walk through one. Easy enough to avoid these, but if you are trapped damaging a cocoon near a few of these and a frontal comes up, it can get hectic.
Blood infused carapace- Interruptable cast, heals the boss for 25% health.

How I did Let Me Solo Him: Zekvir on day 1 of Zekvir's Lair release.

Ilvl 591 Unh DK, my exact strat was this-

Go full ST spec, this makes it much easier to nuke down the cocoons before they produce any problematic spiders. I started the fight doing a normal, non-cooldown rotation to the boss letting Brann build aggro. When the boss summons the very first cocoon, send everything on it. When the cocoon dies, try to use the rest of your damage to nuke the boss to phase 2 before he spawns another cocoon. The boss will get a 99% damage taken debuff, so as your cooldowns wear off this is a good time to regenerate some resources. Upon phasing, the boss will gain the abilities listed above in p2, and it's basically the same gameplay as P1 except there's more things to dodge. Kill the cocoons, if you fail to and a spider comes out, try to kill the spider. You can choose to ignore a cocoon and burn the boss at the end. Just make sure you don't get stunned by a web blast because it can easily end your attempt. You can use AMS as a dk to soak web blast damage + negate the stun, or use AMS on enfeebling spittle when you don't have an interrupt available. Other classes will know how to use their immunities and utility better than me.

This is all I have to add, hopefully this helps you prep for soloing Zekvir and getting your Void schematic, good luck!

Edit: As of the hotfixes on Sept 13th, Brann seems to deal significantly reduced damage in this delve and there seems to be some weird scaling and damage issues, making this solo achievement seemingly impossible at this time.
Edit 2: As of the hotfixes on Sept 26th, Zekvir's lair has had significant nerfs. I have updated the info below for accuracy, but the solo achievement is once again doable.

Thought I'd write a bit of a guide/info thread for those who are looking to attempt this.

Zekvir is a pseudo end-boss for season 1 of the new Delves feature introduced in The War Within. He is located in the 'hidden' 13th Delve called Zekvir's Lair, which is found in the western-most section of the City of Threads in Azj'Kahet.

There are two modes for Zekvir. A normal mode, called Tier ? and a hard mode, called Tier ?-?. To unlock Tier ? and access to the delve, you need to beat any delve on tier 8 with lives remaining. To unlock Tier ?-? you need to beat any delve on tier 10 with lives remaining. The My First Nemesis achievement is awarded for beating Zekvir in the normal mode Tier ? difficulty, either on your own or in a group. The Hunting the Hunter is awarded for beating Zekvir on the hard mode Tier ?-? difficulty, either on your own or in a group. The Let Me Solo Him: Zekvir is awarded for beating Zekvir on the hard mode Tier ?-? difficulty whilst solo only.

The delve itself has no trash or other enemies whatsoever. You walk in, there's a room to prepare Brann, then you unlock a door and Zekvir is right in front of you in the next room.

For reference, on Tier ? difficulty, Zekvir has around 81M health (when solo) and has 5 abilities.
- Angler's Web is a narrow frontal cone aimed at his current target that grips you in and deals damage (can be dodged)
- Claw Smash is a wide frontal cone aimed a you or Brann that deals massive damage (can be dodged)
- Horrendous Roar is 15 yard AoE around the boss that deals damage and fears you for 4 seconds if you are in the circle when the cast finishes (move out)
- Enfeebling Spittle is an interruptable cast that puts a 20 second DoT and slow on you that trucks your health. Note - this is a magic effect and a snare, so can be magic-dispelled or can be removed by abilities that remove snares (eg: Warlock Teleport).
- Call Web Terror summons a cocoon with 4.3M health (when solo) that will hatch into a spider if not killed in 20 seconds. The spider will repeatedly cast a 5 second stun on you, which is interruptable/cc-able. The spider spawns with the same percentage the cacoon had, but has more health overall.

On Tier ?-? difficulty, Zekvir is juiced. He now has 182M health (when solo) and his abilities from Tier ? have been tweaked to make them more difficult.
- Angler's Web cast time is reduced and this will now one-shot.
- Claw Smash cast time is reduced and this will now one-shot.
- Horrendous Roar now deals a significant amount of damage, most-likely one-shotting you.
- Enfeebling Spittle damage is significantly increased and will most-likely kill you if not removed or a defensives rotated.
- Call Web Terror's cocoon has has significantly more health (9.8M health when solo) and spiders now spawn at full health.
As well as the above, Zekvir gains one new ability in Tier ?-?
- Regenerating Carapace heals Zekvir for 10% of his maximum health if not interrupted.

On Tier ?-?, Zekvir now has a phase 2 at 60%. He will run to the centre of the room and start a 10 second cast which also makes him take 99% reduced damage. Once this cast finishes, 2 of his abilities are empowered and he gains 2 new abilities.
- Horrendous Roar becomes Infinite Horror and if hit will fear you indefinitely (you will probably die to the damage anyway).
- Regenerating Carapace becomes Blood-Infused Carapace and now heals Zekvir for 25% of his maximum health if not interrupted.
- Unending Spines is a new ability that causes spines to erupt from swirlies on the ground dealing massive damage, most-likely one-shotting you (keep moving and dodge them).
- Angler's Web works slightly differently. Zekvir will now summon void portals around him and will fire Angler's Web into one of them, instead of at his current target. The Angler's Web will then travel between all of the portals hitting you in you are between the portals. Do not get caught out standing between the portals (just move out as you do with with the fear).

-- Note - When solo, the cooldowns of Enfeebling Spittle, Renenerating Carapace and Blood-Infused Carapace are altered to better match available class interrupts.

So it appears Blizzard really didn't want this to be done yet as the recent hotfixes have made this guy absolutely impossible to solo. I imagine it was intended he only be doable in higher end gear with Bran being max level. So those that got the achievement in before the hotfix, grats on this but for those that didn't it's gonna be a bit of a wait unless they nerf this again.

Honestly with the reactions the team seems to have with successful runs, Blizzard either doesn't play its own game or it bait-and-switched about the entire purpose of Delves and offering a system that casual players could enjoy apart from Mythic and Keystones. That, and offering one NPC that gets nerfed to the floor that holds no aggro for non-tank players is a bit of an oversight and should be addressed (but probably won't be until after Season 1 and the associated rewards become unavailable). This achievement also is a huge imbalanced mess in terms of what class to play and encourages players to play the absolute meta, which is unappealing to a casual and the family-man who has to work to feed his family and still wants to give Delves a try as a means of peace, quiet, and reward. I could be entirely wrong about the purpose of Delves, but the aforementioned was my impression when I saw them.

Seems kind of #$%^ty that this isn't possible even with full heroic level gear. If you save interrupt for the dot, he full heals. If you interrupt the heal, he dots you which eventually eats through all your defensives.

Did Zekvir today after the nerfs. The biggest change being the the webs health was nerfed from 11m and the cast time was doubled. This lowered the needed dps from 1m/dps burst to ~500k dps.
Another big impact is that his kicks are now separated on solo (Poison and Heal).
The other big changes were his health was reduced from 195m to 182m (probably has minimal impact).

The heal is the interrupt. You have to hard kick this, Brann seems to refuse to even was i was trying him as dps. There is no better workaround, this is where your kick goes
However , most classes won't have the ability to kick the spittle afterward. The way to deal with this is use anything that can break you free of snares/movement speed slows (Warlock Teleport, for example) when Brann doesn't dispel it off of you.

Once I got that part down, the rest of it became a dance.

Hug his ass till he casts the fear, go in to avoid the cones. Interrupt Heal. Hard focus the webs. Snare removal. Repeat.

Some stuff can help, anything that can slow his casts (amplified curse + curse of tongues) this gave a brief burst window for a late interrupt.

The phase change has minimal actual impact as the abilities are just as punishing as before, what until he's done casting to pop any cd's.
The thing the 60% 10s intermission does allows you to clean up any webs and build any resources.

Other things: Brann will almost certainly die--tbh don't worry about him unless you need the health pots he throws. Somehow he can recover himself. In P2, there are some windows you can use to heal him (if you're able to do it while he's out of the fear circle/while he's casting the cone) otherwise, focus up your rotation and win.

Just did it on Enh Shaman, ilvl 611, 2 tier pieces, @#$% trinkets. Healer Brann, lvl 49, Idol of the Earthmother + Amorphous (it was lvl 1, but still). CcQA6DE2ZxOD3n18X41tWLU5RNzMzyMzMYmZMzwsNsMDAAAAAAAAAAsBwYGDDZBWGN0gFAYbyMYWWMzMzYGzMbYZmZCMWGzMAAzA is the build, standard ST raid. Thunderous Paws is your main save against the Spittle debuff. As we save our kicks for the heal, going into wolf is your main way to cleanse it. Spirit Walk and Wind Rush totem with talented Jet Stream are there for backup.

Concentrate on dodging and baiting his cleaves and fear aoe, especially when the egg is up. You don't want to bait it into the egg (sometimes that still happens cuz Brann) or get locked in a corner with the egg, Zekvir and fear aoe. I've also noticed that the pattern aoe -> cleave causes a bug when the animation for the cleave will not show until very late, keep your eyes on his cast bar and always be prepared to dodge. Your Brann will die, sometimes randomly. DO NOT try to rez him even with Earth Elem, just play safe and wait for him to rez himself back. I honestly think Enh is a very good pick to try this achiv on. Gl!

Just soloed at 611 as a Windwalker monk, lvl 37 bran as healer with porcelain arrowhead idol 1/4 and time lost relic 1/4.
Biggest piece of advise is waiting to see if bran dispells you or not so you can save whatever you were using to get rid of spittle. Tigers lust and diffuse magic are monks two best friends here. there seems to have been some nerfs to the spider spawns because they were not even close to hatching especially with CDs. If you can make it to 60% for P2 you basically have the fight its just a matter of learning "the dance" and having no unlucky placements on his casts.
4pc and intelect healing trinkets (that did a lil dmg but not much).
Talents for those curious.

Tips for mages:
ONLY kick the heal, you can remove the magic dot with your Energized Barriers
I did it as arcane with Bran healer (you dont lack damages), porcelain & amorphous

Everything is one shoting so dodge, try to adapt ur defensives
I recommend lusting pot CDs etc during P2 (P1 is kinda easy now, so burn the boss in P2)

This fight is now impossible for nearly every spec unless you're in full Mythic Raid gear with full BiS. He hits way too hard and there are too many interrupts. Since they nerfed Brann's Interrupt CD a while back he only interrupts once every ~45 seconds meaning even as a melee class it is impossible to hit both the Enfeebling Spittle which deals over 1 million damage a second for 13 seconds, and his massive heal. This company is so bad at balance, Delves in general are still poorly tuned and way too hard for most classes because of how much health and damage everything does, but this achievement is now impossible for everyone unless again you have full BiS Mythic Raid Gear. Gj Blizzard. "Solo content" btw.

-My Brann was lvl48 heal-spec, using a maxed Porcelain Arrowhead Idol and Amorphous Relic. I liked the +health proc from Amorphous to lessen the RNG from melee crits, but I didn't intentionally wipe it if it rolled the wrong way.

-100% of my gear is from Delves / crafting, so you don't need to over-gear it to down it (at least on a paladin). I am not wearing any crafted gear higher than 606, nor am I using any crafting embellishments.

-Herald of the Sun Retribution spec, ilvl609 average (talents and gear are shown toward end of the video).

-It took less than two hours to kill him. There is some RNG involved, but between Sun Templar's ranged capabilities, burst mobility, and utility it wasn't too bad. Positioning to try and avoid a wide cone on the hatching eggs was a big part of getting it consistent. Occasionally he would start healing at the same time as eggs, but that only seemed to happen certain attempts.

-Melee crit RNG was probably the worst, but it was extremely rare that I'd run out of Brann potions. Especially in phase two, Zekvir spends a lot less time doing melee so it's much easier to survive in case that helps anyone plan out a kill.

-I'm guessing it might be extremely hard for certain classes/specs to tackle him. Paladins have a really strong toolkit for it right now. But on the other hand, there's a ton more optimization from gear possible before this season ends from Delves/crafting/crests alone.

Finished this today as a Archon SPriest at 613 ilvl. Have a few tips for you fellow priests that might be having problems or might think its still impossible. Took me about 40 tries and my final kill end dps was 760k and a ~~19 MINUTE FIGHT~~. definitely not a 19 minute fight lol, just did what was based on my details without thinking; definitely felt like it took a while!

Both Phantasm (freedom from snares upon using Fade) and Last Word (15 Second CD reduction on Silence) are almost required as you will run out of ways to dispel the dot and not have your CD up fast enough to kick the heal. Other than that I would recommend a more ST build with access to MD and Disperse (obviously) as they can be used in an emergency to dispel the dot incase you use fade incorrectly. I would also say stay closer to the boss most of the time if you can as since you are slow you will die a ton from waves if you arent in the right place. If you can survive otherwise I'd also say to use VE over the leech option as it will help keep Brann up a lot however he bugs a lot after dying and insta respawns at full HP which helps a lot however he isn't necessarily needed especially in the 2nd phase.

I got it on my fury warrior today! ilvl 613!
I used rank 2 potions, weapon oil, and ate some food.

My tactic was basically this:
- Only interrupt his healing ability.
- To get rid of the poison you can use Escape Artist, Charge, Heroic Leap - a lot of stuff!
- Save CDs for the webs you can attack.
- And probably the one that saved me: Don't go to those webs before he's cast that huge white spell. You barely have time to get out of it if you're far away from the boss, so if he's far from the web mobs, just let him cast it before you nuke them.

It has a second phase where you basically just have to avoid standing in stuff. It doesn't fill the whole room, so you can get away from it to get a better overview.

There's still some RNG. Brann can be super usefull, or super useless. And while the boss usually casts the same spells in a specific order that's not always the case.

Bonus: This is easily the best feeling I've had in WoW, my first "accomplishment."

Got it tonight after a good few hours at it as a Frost DK. 608 ilvl with 4 set and @#$%ty trinkets. Bran was set to healer with porcelain and amorphous just as others suggested.

Went with Obliteration build and Rider of the Apocalypse hero talents.

Picked up strangulation for a back up stun on the spiders if one broke out.

Made sure to alternate anti-magic shell to avoid the dot (praying Brann would remove the other) and interrupted only the heal. I'm sure you could use death charge to remove the dot as well but i saved it to make sure I got out of cleaves and fears. Focused webs and if one happened to get out made sure to have icebound available. I also used strangulate and death grip to delay the cast as long as possible, especially if they were low enough to cleave down.
If you use frostwrym's fury at the start, it should come up at good times to get the webs. I'm sure you could greed with lichborne for fears but I played hella safe since with my ilvl he chunked me pretty hard.

It does sometimes feel like this fight comes down to good RNG (what with Brann sometimes being useful or useless) but keep persevering!

Did it with 610 ilvl , 2 tier pcs Windwalker Monk (Shado Pan hero talent) with lvl 47 Brann on DPS after the nerfs.
For me it was way easier with Brann being a DPS because I didn't depend on being lucky getting dispelled by him instead of his monkey, rather I could depend on him interrupting the dot cast when his interrupt was not on CD (also he did a bunch of damage).
Note: Brann WILL NOT interrupt Zekvir's self-healing cast, so you have to do that.

most important thing is only use CDs to kill the add, interrupt his heal only and you can dispel his poison with freedom every single time. Good luck!

For any tanks struggling with this, there is a way to cheese it.

If you tank him at the entrance, inside that little space right by the door, you don't get any adds at all, he tries to spawn them but because of LoS it doesn't actually work.

Guessing if this gets known enough it'll be hotfixed asap, but right now it works. Gotta keep the target circle behind the "tip" of the triangle of the floor ornament by the entrance of the room.
Takes some patience to learn how to deal with all attacks with him stuck in there, and to not have him sneak out when you dodge stuff. Phase 1 is super easy this way, phase 2 takes some practice.

I did it this way at 607 ilevel Guardian, with a level 45 Brann as DPS with Earthmother and Amorphous both 4/4 (Reset until you get the haste/movement speed from Amorphous, the movement speed helps A LOT)
Any poison Brann failed to interrupt I just popped a few CDs and went kitty and back to bear quickly, and just kept my own interrupt for the regenerative carapace spell.

Just cleared it as a 611ilvl 2pc Arms Warrior with 25% haste (I main Prot), wielding a 619 Befouler's Syringe. Final attempt took 6 minutes 57 seconds, and healer Brann died twice.
Once I found out that the Poison DoT can be removed with Bladestorm and Avatar, I saved both of those skills for that purpose, as Brann's cleanse has a 1 minute cooldown, and interrupting both it AND the heal is impossible. Other than that, I focused the egg when I could, using Sweeping Strikes for a bit of extra damage on Zekvir, spell reflected as many fears as I could in phase 2 (can't reflect the fears in phase 1) and tried to keep the potion HoT at 4 stacks as much as possible by staggering when I picked them up. Brann dying was a scary part, but using Die by the Sword when he starts meleeing and otherwise just avoiding his attacks kept me alive until Brann came back by himself, trying to rez him was a complete no-go as the cast time is waaaay too long.

General guide to beating Zek'vir on ? difficulty:

1. ALL your DPS cooldowns should be on the cocoons, if you are not comfortable with being able to kill them quickly enough. Try to get a feel for how much you need to kill them, so you can split your cooldowns to deal with alternating adds. Zek'vir does not have an enrage timer, so slow and steady DPS on him will still work. Cocoons/adds MUST be killed. Number 1 priority.

2. Do not interrupt Enfeebling Spittle. If you can dispel Magic effects, then dispel it - MUST be able to dispel Magic. It is NOT a poison. Enfeebling Spittle is also a snare effect, so if you have skills or talents that remove snares, use them after he hits you with it, to remove it completely.

3. Interrupt Regenerative Carapace/Black Blood Carapace to prevent him healing. This is a must. If it goes off, it's not a wipe - But he will heal 20 Mil+ health.

4. If using Brann as a healer, time your potions. You want to try and remain at around 3/4ths HP minimum, to give you room if you need to alter your rotation on GCD.

Beyond this, it's just dodging his 'Skills'. Good luck.

I just did this on my 613 survival hunter.

Just a tip for any mages;/hunters (and anyone else who can lust and reset), I noticed that if you reset zek'vir and use bl while you're resetting him then when he comes back you'll still have 20-24ish seconds of lust left and your lust will be reset to use again.

Completed as a 607 frost mage with the hotfixes. Did try as arcane but found theres way too much moving in P2 for it to be "viable". Did have 4 piece, but have terrible trinkets for a little insight on gear. Some tips:
-Orb with veins on pull, you'll get the most bang for your buck on pull when theres not much going on. He'll always do a frontal followed by the fear at the start so you can plan that for big damage at the start
-Obvious one, but don't forget to eat branns buff food, it stacks with your own food
-Only interrupt heal
-Dispel the dot with Energized Barriers talent/Mass Barrier (Only used barrier to dispel when dot was on me)
-P1 I'm basically on top of Zekvir the entire time, makes moving way easier, just sidestepping his two frontals to avoid using blinks when possible, to save blink for emergency frontals that I can't sidestep (like eggs spawning not next to him)
-If you ever don't think you'll have the damage for an egg I.E. no flurrys, not a glacial ready, no ray you can mirror image so you can full focus an egg or full focus on boss

-I only used Ray of frost on eggs with a flurry debuff. It will do ALOT of damage to the egg, varied between 30-60%. You will have Ray for every other egg if I recall. Otherwise glacial spiking shattering them.

-I personally saved lust and pot for second phase. If you need lust to burn get through P1 I wouldn't bother because, debatably, you'll have less time and less movement to damage eggs or even hit the boss in general with the three added mechanics being the shadow orbs, moving out of swirlies, and avoiding void gates.
-Many wipes happened on P3 due to dieing to the shadow orbs, my advice is just stay focused and look for the 4 shadow orbs that will spawn next to him. It's a visual at the corners of his model.

-Can completely ignore a spider by sheeping it if you're close to the kill, just know Ice lance might break it with cleave as I don't think the game smart checks CC targets with ice lance cleave.

- Can also try invising/shadowmelding to despawn a spider as I heard that works, but be warned I never tested myself

Brann was level 40 (Used Healer with Rank 4 Porcelain Arrow and Rank 1 Amorphous Relic)

-Used Alchemical Chaos flask, Tempered Potion, Mana Oil and some cheap buff food I had from leveling cooking.

- Took 70ish attempts to get down, a lot of deaths at the beginning of learning how much damage I needed for eggs and then ALOT of sub 20% deaths dieing to the shadow orbs because of not paying attention

As of today they may have fixed the scaling of Zekvir but now the void skin for the mount is bugged, says I need the achievement still. *shrugs*

Completed as a 612 Survival Hunter after the hotfixes to make it so Brann can't tank him anymore. I used buff food, weightstones and flask but all low rank ones.

Used 4/4 Amorphous Relic and 4/4 Porcelain Arrowhead Idol and a level 33 Brann as healer. Had 4 piece tier and used single target talents.

Main strategy I used was to use a misdirect focus macro on Brann on pull, though only hitting it after I had pulled Zekvir with at least one ability myself. Using Misdirect before pull will just cause him to reset the second Brann has aggro. After my opener and Misdirect ended I tended to aggro for the rest of the fight. The most important thing to do as a hunter is know that Disengage cleanses the spittle dot effect, so save Disengage for after he casts that. Interrupt his heal and focus the eggs as soon as they spawn, dodge everything else.

I had my pet taunt off most of the time as Zekvir killed my pet very quickly. I still had the taunt keybound in case I needed it to tank an autoattack to give me time to heal up with Brann's potions.

One specifically weird thing I did by complete accident was nerf his self heal from his carapace ability by half, by using a Bee pet. Any Wasp pet should do as they have an anti heal ability that is always up. It cuts his self heal from 25% to 12.5%. While I still tried to kick every carapace cast I could, I did let one go off by mistake when I switched targets to an egg, but thanks to the random chance I was using a Bee pet the heal was pretty easy to recover from. 10/10, recommend Bee.

Completed today a Ret. iLVL 608, Level 38 Brann. Took me about 2 hours of attempts. Saved basically everything for eggs, usually even banking some holy power right before just in case I had to move and couldn't get the damage on the egg at first. Fight took a little over 12 minutes with that slow and steady approach. Burned some holy power on Word of Glory for the healing whenever brann got himself murdered or I took a bad couple hits.

Gear : ilvl 608. 2 Piece set, one trinket and weapon are not great.

Brann : lvl 38 Healer. Porcelain Arrowhead Idol and Amorphous Relic

No boss addons / timers. Just have a dps meater, default UI, and technically VuhDo installed for healing but not really in use here. I did this partially because I am stubborn and believe the game shouldn't need addons like this and also to prove you didn't need it.

Before nerfs, I had a hard time even dropping eggs below 20-30%. Now, I was able to do it in a couple hours, which I honestly found disappointing. I had hoped that it would be something I needed to keep gearing to take down. Figured a better weapon, 4 piece bonus, and raising ilvl would get me to a place where I could do it pre nerf. Oh well.

Little tip for bm hunters who want to actually get to use their pets in the fight, get a clefthoof and precast survival of the fittest, this will allow your pet to avoid the one shot and activate their passive, once your pet is hit cast exhiliration to get it back up to full and (at least for me) at this point zevkir will aggro onto you, from this point on it's the same dance on repeat, stay close to him to avoid the cone, run from fear, disengage the dot, interrupt the heal, and use all cooldowns on the egg (you can get away with casting dire beast or black arrow on zevkir every now and then cause of the short cooldown), phase 2 just make sure you stay close to him at all costs, most of my deaths were from just barely failing to outrun the cone or the fear. if your pet dies during phase 2 pray it died right before he casts his channel cause you can revive it towards the end of the channel

Edit: may as well throw in this info. Completed at Ilvl 610, had 2 piece set, lfr sureki zealots insignia and normal wings of shattered sorrow, heroic shade-touched silencer, 2 crit embellished, and 606 sacbrood. Had healer brann at level 27 with rank 4 arrow and rank 2 amorphous

Soloed the ?.? version today as mountain thane protection warrior @620 ilvl. Brann as dps with the aim shot and grow larger/smaller curious.

As a lot of others have said, never kick the dot he casts. Only kick the heals. Should the spider spawn, have CC for it. As prot warrior I had aoe silence, storm bolt, shockwave and aoe fear.

Took approximately 30 pulls. No BL or combat potion used, but it would help shorten p2 (it's intense).

Soloed as 617 WW (although it's my offspec) with 4 set, no embellishments, etc.
I think it can probably be done as much lower item level as WW as the spec kind of soft counters the fight.
Talent Diffuse Magic and Meridian Strikes so you have ToD for every other egg, and keep dpsing during the 60% shield to get the CDR from Meridian, otherwise just standard ST build.
Brann is level 33 & healer with R4 Porcelain & R1 Amorpheus. I did try with him as DPS with Final Will instead (this idol does a LOT of damage) but it's not as consistent imo, and playing DPS you should already have the damage for the eggs, which is the only "hard" part of the fight. Well, that and also the boss may decide to randomly crit you for 3.5-4mil melee in a row (I've had my tempo ruined by on some pulls, just RNG). Every time you have to move to dodge abilities, try to take the boss back to where Brann's potions are afterwards. WW also has a lot of self-healing so his melee attacks shouldn't largely bother you unless you're unlucky.

The biggest piece of advice is to honestly be patient & play it safe. If you have ToD then you can just get near the egg and wait out his frontals and then dps it within range.
Save a SEF for every egg you don't have ToD for. I didn't save Xuen for any of them, but I did save SotW & WDP. If you SEF -> SotW -> RSK the egg is at 50% and then you can just dps it while dodging abilities.

The hardest part of the fight is around 30% where he has some really tricky overlaps, so you need to be careful but also don't mess about with the egg spawns. In the last part of the fight you regularly get Spike & Egg spawn overlaps, but there's no need to panic with the Spikes just move around the egg where possible or go out and then back in.

The worst overlap is probably where he spawns the Egg, then uses Spikes, then Fears (watch the orbs they spawn in P2) and then casts his heal. You really need to get the heal. As others have said - don't interrupt the dot, just Tiger's Lust or Diffuse. Brann will often dispel it off you too. I actually ended up missing an egg in the end but I did enough damage that I could just stun the add and kill it before it casts the stun.

The fight lasted 6:41 and I did about 650k DPS in the end, but 12% of that was ToD.

Not a terrible encounter for warlocks at all.

First, go destruction. Hero talents are dealers choice, but diabolist seemed to have more 'oomph', plus it gives soulburn circle for free (important). You dont need anything fancy in the spec tree, standard left-side build. Shadowburn is your best friend here.

Healer brann obviously, and use felhunter. Porcelain and amorphous for brann's skills worked just fine.

Take amplify curse. This gives an essentially permanent -70% casting speed debuff - tongues lasts for one minute, amplify curse is a 1min cd. Easy math.

If spittle goes out and brann doesn't dispel within two seconds, pop soulburn circle to remove the debuff.

Set a warning for when he's casting his carapace heal and you may be distracted with a cocoon so you can spell lock it.

Last, havoc on the boss when you're burning down the cocoon is literally free damage.

Did it today on an Outlaw Rogue, ilvl 615. Played with Brann lvl 46 as a healer, including Amorphous and Porcelain relics. Fight took me 6:16 min.

Not recommending to do it on a rogue, as the playstyle adds some RNG, see explanations below

The fight itself is not too crazy and just needs some practice. Talent-wise, use Iron Stomach and Numbing Poison for longer Casts and additional self heal. Also, play with Killing Spree as even a 1CP Killing Spree entirely removes the dot from Enfeebling Spittle. Using KS enables you to have Cloak of Shadows as some sort of "oh *!@#"-Button or even to deliberately use it to extend some burst damage windows to nullify the fear. Always kick his heal and else its avoiding stuff and focussing the adds.

It can be advised to delay switching to the adds for a moment, because depending on the spawn, its much better to wait out his frontal cone. Use evasion frequently, preferably in the barely avoidable one or two phases where Brann is unconscious. If you happen not to be able to kill the webs in time and the spider add spawns, remember to use kidney shot, cheap shot and/or blind, because you cannot waste your kick on the webbing cast.

However, it can be very frustrating as a rogue to do this, because you have to frequently use Vanish to pump dmg in the Crackshot Windows. It has occurred very often to me, that the boss resetted following a Vanish cast either because

- Brann was dead (he naturally gets more damage as you vanish quite often throughout the fight)
- Brann was just revived and focused the add instead of the boss so that he had no aggro on him
- and the most annoying thing: Brann really likes to run to the entrance when he has aggro and there he can be feared out of the room or jump back through the door to avoid any mechanic, making the boss reset. This has happened to me in about one third of the tries and as you can imagine, its somewhat tilting to have a reset at 10 or 15% boss HP.

You want to use spirit walk and Jet stream wind rush totem to get rid of the slow in case brann doesn't dispel you. I also had Thunderous Paws but you need ghost wolf to run out of the fears and frontals so I wouldn't count on that.
As others have said only use your interrupt for the heal, I used an interrupt focus macro, this one:

I waited with lust for p2 after he had used his channel, but make sure you always use your cds for the eggs and just chip away at zekvir himself (remember there is no enrage). Use Primordial wave for the adds for that sweet extra haste. Make sure you are staying close to Zekvir to be able to dodge his frontals, fears and other scary things.
I didn't use stone elemental (stone bro) because I was worried he would @#$% up the positioning of Zekvir (being able to stay close to him) and make the frontals huge
For the portals in p2, I made sure to always try to stay "outside" of them (don't just stand in the middle of them)

Brann lvl 40 "died" twice in my run (he will get up by himself after a while, DON'T RESS HIM) and I used him as healer with Idol of the Earthmother r4 and Amorphous Relic r4

I used Flask of Alchemical Chaos r2 and Sweet and Sour Meatballs (it was the only food I had lol). I used no potions besides HP ones.
The fight took 8 min and 26sec.

They definitely nerfed this gentleman, and he is possible for at least some classes (can't verify for all).

I completed this yesterday (9/30/24) on a Retribution Paladin, 613 and 4-set, with an average weapon and trinkets. I didn't optimize anything as this is my off-spec and I went to just try it out and see how it goes. The only consumables I needed were a flask, food from being Earthen, and mana oil. It took me about an hour of attempts to get him down. I played Herald cleave spec to be able to still do a little boss damage while working on the adds. I used the Amorphous/Arrowhead relic combination.

The slow and steady approach seems to work fairly well. I focused on the eggs, saving Wake of Ashes for them every time, and then did damage to the boss as I could. Blessing of Freedom for the spittle cast, interrupt the heal on both phases. I waited a few seconds before swapping to the eggs to bait out his fear and frontal, then went all in on the eggs. I did have the egg pop a couple of times but it wasn't too bad as it was very low health and one stun was enough for me to finish it off. He didn't seem to hurt me too much, but I tried to off-heal myself as I needed and used defensive if I felt the need for it. I didn't end up needing bubble in the end, as I was saving it for some really bad intermixing.

There are a few awkward intersections on abilities in P2, however, which is where I died quite a few times. Sometimes you just won't have a way out, and I feel that part of killing him is getting decent patterns/positioning on that phase. I made sure not to let Brann go down as he was my 'healer' and was useful despite being feared most of the time. I had Eternal Flame up on him and on me most of the time. The fight took me around 7 minutes when I finally finished it, and overall wasn't bad. Once you get the dance down, it becomes easier to get through. Just play it safe and you should be okay.

A friend of mine also did it last night on a Feral druid with similar comments. There are some weird/annoying combinations in P2 that can just kill you without a real counterplay if you're in the wrong spot, but it's doable after a few tries and things lining up. Skip the spittle interrupt (clear with what you got, it's technically a snare), interrupt his heal, prioritize adds, and do damage to the boss in the downtime.

So i did it this week with my Havoc DH 614 iLvl and Bran setup as healer. Very tricky but managed it second pull. Save all your CDs for the adds.

Brann got knocked out twice. Hapopy to get that out of the way. I think they might have nerfed it somewhat

Did it today on 613 Arms Warrior with Slayer hero talents and Brann as healer.
Notes: only had 2/4 tier and my gear/trinkets were built for Prot spec, so not a super great Arms build going into this.

Taking Relentless Pursuit in the Slayer tree definitely saved me multiple times throughout the fight, as it allows Charge to break snares from spittle and fear.
I saved Avatar and Bladestorm for times when Brann didn't dispel spittle as those remove the snares as well. As tempting as it is to use those on eggs, don't. Save them for emergencies.
Nothing special for the eggs, but I did try to use Colossus Smash on them when I could and Sweeping Strikes to cleave Zekvir whenever he was near the eggs.
Patience is key for this fight. As much as I love to tunnel-vision zug zug with my axe, I found my better attempts were when I just focused on the mechanics and eggs, picking away at Zekvir when time allowed.

Finally got it on my 611 WW monk with 4 piece. Had weapon buffs and food buff. Amorph and arrowhead relic with level 53 healer brann. (tried as a BM with damage brann and could not consistently get the eggs down fast enough.)

Eventually the first phase will be easy to get through and you can focus on learning the 2nd phase. The fear casts orbs out and shows a dim spot where they will spawn from. The portals that spawn around will shoot out a web that will grab you, and likely kill you, so don't stand in their line of sight with other portals. The undending spike ability zekvir does is something you will hope for because it's where you will get all of your damage in. The worst part of this fight will always be the eggs so save your CDs for those. The worst placement I found for the egg to land is in the top center of the room on that platform because you can get caught on the edges trying to get out of the fear or his frontal.

As a WW monk i kept TOD and SEF for the eggs and just used xuen on the opening for both phases and off cd after that. For enfeebling spittle, which looks just like regenerating carapace, you want to use anything that cancels a slow, so tigers lust for monk. (I also used diffuse magic for the extra help). Get a weakaura to help make sure you don't accidentally kick enfeebling spittle instead of regenerating carapace as you will be doing a lot more of the fight if you end up doing this. (10% health regen at phase 1 and 25% at phase 2. I tried fighting through one of these and wiped at 2%. Very fun.)

Once you have all of the mechanics down it will come down to your gear and a lot of rng regarding the egg placement and when he uses his fear or frontal. I would also say that it's highly dependent on brann as well because the time I finally got the boss down was when he stayed alive the entire time but it should be doable if he goes down if you save defensives. I've seen another WW monk do this challenge with the Mad Queen's Mandate trinket from the final boss in the raid so If you happen to have that then it should help a lot with bursting down the eggs. This fight did make me rage a good couple of times but eventually you will get lucky with the egg placement and which ability he uses, like trying to regen while you're running at an egg. Good luck.

Did this today as 609 frost mage with 4 piece set bonus. Trinkets were Ara-Kara Sacbrood and Candle Confidant.

Brann was level 47 and set to heal. I used Unbreakable Iron Idol and Amorphous Relic on him.

You need Energized Barriers for this fight.
You are basically only kicking his Blood-Infused Carapace and let his Enfeebling Spittle go through. You then remove the debuff by casting a barrier.

I started the fight using Mirror Image and Icy Veins and then saved my cooldowns mostly for the add.
An add spawns? Use Icy Veins.
Another add spawns? Use Mirror Image to have Zekvir playing with them.
Frozen Orb and Comet Storm straight on the add.
I also used hero on the first add in p2.

Beside the add spawns this fight doesn't seem like a dps race. Just play the mechanics nice and clean, stand near Zekvir to dodge his frontals more easily. Pick up Branns heal potions on the ground. In p2 I was mostly only doing some instant Frostfire Bolts, Flurrys and Ice Lances on Zekvir. Very few Glacial Spikes because there weren't many time frames for them (I only cast 14 throughout the whole fight).
If Brann is knocked out just wait the 30s for him to recover. Or use Mirror Image to buy some time to rezz him.

And whenever you need to blink out of his frontal just don't blink towards the stairs.

I killed Zekvir in ~8 minutes (541k dps).

It's deeply ironic that the despite being THE solo class/spec... BM Hunter cannot realistically do this fight. He will absolutely 1 shot the pet and Brann will go down often too if hes got aggro. Meaning the ranged spec that comes with its own melee tank... is forced to face tank the entire fight with half its DPS removed. GG bliz.

Completed this morning as a 615 BM Hunter with a 46 Healer Brann (Porcelain Arrowhead and Amorphous). Due to the previously mentioned bug causing pets to be one-shot (pets take twice as much damage as the player and Brann do on melee autos, even accounting for crits), the counterintuitive strategy for BM Hunter to complete this is to face-tank the boss and keep aggro off of your pet with Play Dead micro. Disengage to remove Enfeebling Spittle, hold BW for the adds, and lust p2. Very doable with our mobility once you get the rhythm down; mostly notable in that I have gained a new level of empathy from this role-reversal for what my pet has been dealing with for the past 12 years...

Completed today as a 609 Frost DK. Took advantage of the Brann food buff trick for extra stats, standard Healer Amorphous/Arrowhead setup. I unloaded everything in opener except Reaper's Mark and saved it for eggs. I would also save Pillar of Frost for eggs if one was about to spawn and Reaper's Mark wasn't up yet to make sure I got it down. I did use drums during P2 after I was able to reliably get to that phase. Took me around 50 tries and the best piece of advice I could give would be to use SPACE as a resource appropriately.

I'm seen a lot of comments with more of the same general advice like "dodge aoes" and "always interrupt the heal" but here's my biggest takeaways as a DK:

1. BAIT THE CONE. This was almost entirely what was killing me and ultimately what led to my victory. I would see the egg spawn and had to train myself to not immediately run to it, but to instead walk to the side of the egg in order to bait the Claw Smash. Sometimes he'll use fear or spittle instead, but you should always expect a Claw Smash shortly after an egg just in case. I tried to always be ready to move out of fears or aoe's so I never had to use Death's Advance or Wraith Walk for anything OTHER than to close distance on eggs.

2. Watch the health pots. There's a LOT of effects flying around and its easy to not notice swirlies or claw smash, but even more so Brann's health pots on a red-colored floor. Try to always hover near them and be aware of your space. If he decides to crit smack you and you have to use your mobility (if you even have any) to get to pots on the other side of the room, you're boned. Staying near pots in case you don't have AMS up and Brann is dead (which is frequent in P2) will keep you alive.

3. Spittle is rough. It will frequently kill you and you'll just have to get used to it. I tried to regularly cycle AMS between Brann cleanses, but you should be ready when Brann is dead in P2. Icebound Fortitude will help the damage intake if neither of those are an option, and Licheborne also has a 15% DR if you can avoid using it if you get feared. Hovering around Brann's HP pots (if there are any) will keep you alive through the damage without any mitigation. And lastly, have Algari Healing Potions for a quick save. They saved my run on the last pull.

4. Believe it or not, you CAN recover from mistakes! My winning clear had 2 eggs hatch, myself getting feared once, and having 3 Spittles go through during P2. Death Grip can interrupt the spiders so you can save your interrupt for the heal, Licheborne can break you out of a fear, but if you don't get feared you can save it for Leech/DR during Spittles in P2 when Brann is dead. Because this fight has no enrage you can use runic power on DS instead of Frost Strike to stay alive. Death Strike CAN and WILL save your ass during P2 when Brann inevitably dies, AMS and other mit is down, and another Spittle gets through.

5. Don't give up! This is a marathon, and not a race. Learn the mechanics, learn what works best for your class, invest in some cheaper consumables to help out, and try to keep your cool. You SHOULD ultimately accept that sometimes RNG CAN screw you during this fight, but I promise you can mitigate most of it and you can succeed!

Hello, i would like to share some tips for fellow BM hunters ,did it with 610 ilvl,healer brann earthmother amorphous relics.

1.Start the fight without pet to build some aggro while gathering all healing pots from ground( they work as hots even if ur full).Now you can summon ur pet with growl off, tenacity did the work for me, ferocious died a lot.If pet dies pick the right time between his spells to revive it ,brann dies alot ignore him till he comes back.

2.macro your interrupt to /tar zekvir and stay close to him to dodge things ,for cone attack run through boss if ur close to him ,macro dark ranger hero spell to /tar egg cocoon and use both this and bestial wrath (will be up for every egg if u keep kill commanding) only for eggs .In case the spider spawns stun it with intimidation and kill it.Wait for the spittle spell to be casted on u and dispel it with disengage.

3.Rest is dodging things ,cones, swirls on ground and keep away from mirrors, turtle is our escape button so u can make only one mistake.

4.Keep urself calm its a long fight even at 8 % think you have to keep dodging and dpsing eggs as ur main priority rather than burning him down and ur set. Good luck.

Did this today. 613 Prot Paladin.

Took about couple of hours to learn and it's really all about CD management and eggs. On my kill I had zero hatches.
Some tips for other Prot Paladins: Dont attempt the door strat, most of your spells just wont hit the boss. No SoR, no Cons, no EoT, and no Empyrean Hammers (From SoR).

I talented Quickened Invocation, for shorter DT CD. That will then line up perfectly with EoT for every egg. Talented For Whom the Bell Tolls, for more egg burst. And then take it slow, and focus on avoiding everything. If an egg hatched, which it did on some attempts, it's relatively each to deal with the add if you've also talented Moment of Glory, infinite AS for silences/Interrupts.

I had Brann as healer. And what finally made the kill seem possible, and way less RNG, was ignoring what most people say here and fishing for the DMG buff from brann's Amorphous Relic (by reseting the boss at the door) instead of Movement Speed + Haste. 12% more damage made each egg alot easier to handle. Just make sure to keep an eye on Zekvir's cooldowns and be ready for his fears. Use Defensive CDs to deal with @#$% moments, like badly placed Claws, or Bubble for if you mess up a Fear.

The Talent build I was using. I use Hammer of Righteousness for more egg burst.

We can remove debuff with our Vengeful Retreat so always keep using it for this one!

Keep an eye on your health and utilize Blur to mitigate incoming damage (best used when no Metamorph is up).

I managed to always keep my Eye beem cooldown exactly on point with the egg spawn, so keep your cd for this one. Essence break always used on egg!

Dodge everything!. I kept my Fel rushs for handy situations.

The fight is extremely frustrating on a BDK with a DPS Brann, but very much doable with 610+ ilvl. Sadly, it is more random than hard, but it gets much easier with every buff to your dps (or when Brann decides to focus the cocoons/spiders).

If you learn the mechanics, survivability is not much of an issue, so you should focus dps-oriented (and mobility-oriented) talents and trinkets. And put Zekvir on focus for @focus Mind Freeze. Kick the cast always as late as possible/comfortable. This way more of Zekvir's abilities get off cooldown and he is less likely to spawn cocoons.

Try to keep Zekvir in the middle and, as soon as he spawns a cocoon, try to get to it as soon as possible (while not leaving Zekvir too far behind). Cocoons/spiders are the worst part of the encounter, so always leave your dps bursts for the cocoons. And if the stars align, you will kill them before they hatch (but it is very likely that many of them do).

Then, when the cocoons hatches into a spider and gets kicked by Brann, do not stun it (Asphyxiate) until it starts to cast again; if it doesn't get kicked, stun it so Brann doesn't waste his kick on it. If Asphyxiate is on cooldown, use your grips to cancel the cast or Icebound Fortitude to ignore it.

It is quite easy to outheal the poison if Brann doesn't kick it, but it is also good to block it with Anti-Magic Shell to preserve charges of Death's Advance.

Use Death's Advance whenever you cannot escape Zekvir's fears or frontals in time.

In my experience, it is not worth it to use Purgatory because whenever it saves your death you are probably dead anyway.

Tried ? a few times this morning on a 611 Blood DK, lvl 52 Brann (Tried Healer & Dps Spec) with Anomorph and Arrowhead/Earthmother.

Seems doable, but Brann is completely useless... In fact he does more harm than good at times.
Brann doesn't interrupt anything, literally anything, for me... Been leaving casts till last millisecond just to see if he does anything about it and he doesn't seem to want to interrupt a single cast.
Anything he dispels isn't an issue to me in the first place so he's wasting time.
Zeverik seems to prefer using his frontal at Brann so have to taunt to bait it into the spider every time.

Got into P2 a couple times so will probably finish it up in the next couple days...

Just wish Brann wasn't a complete hinderance.

Keys to success:

Always keep a Shimmer to dodge Claw Smash
Never use Counterspell on Enfeebling Spittle, instead use your ice barrier with the Energized Barriers talent. It will remove the DOT.
Always focus the Egg Cocoon when Zekvir casted Call Web Terror
Interrupt every Regenerating Carapace aboce 60% and every Blood-Infused Carapace under 60%.
Under 60% avoid portals when he cast Angler's Web, it can travel through portals to catch you. If you get caught you still can cast a single Ice Block to avoid the damage.
If you miss to kill a cocoon and the spider starts casting the web shot you can interrupt it with Dragon's Breath then burst it down as soon as possible cos it will shot again.

The last fight lasted for 10 minutes intensely but after 3 days of stucking I finally got the kill :D

I just did this and didn't get the achieve. I originally had someone else in my party, but they left, and I guess I should have run out and back in to get it. I assumed that seeing his max health go from 360M to 180M meant the game would recognize I was alone, but nope! If you're going for this, make sure you enter the delve alone so you don't have to do it twice like me.

Just got him down as a demo lock, a lot of the advice here is correct, don't stray too far as it will make the cone smash harder to avoid, warlocks can dispel the magic dot with demonic circle teleport, however, one thing I will add at least in my experience, I noticed he targeted my vilefiend for the claw smash, completely screwing me in some scenarios, is it a bug or bad luck idk, but I opted to spec out of it and got him within the next 2 tries (had around 89 attempts prior to that) and it didn't do that weird claw smash cast to a random spot (vilefiend was there) that brann or I weren't at, anyways, good luck, hope you get the achievement and mount soon my friends!.

Done this as fury warrior ilvl 612. Braan healer level 37 with porclean arrowhead and amorphous relic.

I was struggling on phase 2 for hours until I found out how the void portals and fear orbs actually work. I recommend watching a video on the void portals and the fear orbs it made phase 2 a breeze for me. When he fears he shoots out 4 orbs. With the void portals you can stand near them once he has cast his angler's web.

Spell reflection - in phase 2 you can spell reflect the fear orbs if you can't dodge them. These won't reflect any damage to Zekvir but will remove the damage you take.
Titan's torment - makes Odyn's fury remove the spittle debuff by making it cast Avatar (really useful)
Thunderous roar & uproar - thunder roar every 45 secs times nicely with each cocoon add.
Bitter immunity - an extra heal for emergencies and useful when Braan dies
Invigorating heal - another extra heal for emergencies and useful when Braan dies.

Save cooldowns that remove spittle (bladestorm, odyns fury, avatar) for spittle don't use for damage except for emergencies on cocoon adds.

This is slowly starting to drive me mental...

1. Small claustrophobic room where he spawns eggs next to the wall just especially so the camera zooms in and you can't see what he does behind you + he spawns those eggs so far away that you can't go to them without the risk of the wide range frontal smacking you through the roof.
2. Absurd dots where I have to pray for miracle RNG and Brann to be positioned well so he can dispel me not to mention 1mil + per tick after mitigation which is basically 20% of my life and insult to injury if Brann gets feared he runs out of the room and he is waaaay out of range to dispel....
3. WAAAAY too much Attk speed on him between melee hits

gotta love such "well thought through" mechanics which are very "balanced" regardless of your class....

If you plan on killing this boss for the let me solo him achievement, MAKE SURE NOBODY IS IN YOUR PARTY- instanced with you or not. my friend was in a party w me when i decided to try and i killed after a few attempts and was not given the achievement. kinda bombed because pots and drums are so expensive and i cant seem to down him twice now that im frustrated i wasn't given the achievement even tho i DID solo him.

You should use the single target talent build you are most comfortable with, but I’d highlight a few talents that I think are mandatory:

Tiger’s Lust - You can use this every 30 seconds to remove the Enfeebling Spittle debuff, giving preference to situations where you’d prefer not to roll
Swift Art - You can roll every 30 seconds to remove the Enfeebling Spittle debuff from yourself
Bounding Agility - This increases your roll distance to get you further away from harm
Fatal Touch - Allows you to use Touch of Death on the cocoons more often and increases your damage afterwards
Bounce Back - Zekvir can sometimes crit you for a lot of your health and this improves your survivability after this happens

Diffuse Magic also removes enfeebling, but on a longer cooldown than your other choices.

I would set your Transcendence port either in the middle of the room or near the door. I chose the middle of the room but that means if I’m also fighting the boss in the middle of the room I can’t port to get away from him. However, I can use it to quickly get out of harm's way if I’m killing the spider cocoon near the room’s edge and don’t think I can avoid Zekvir’s attack.

Prioritize getting out of conal damage, ground spines, or fears to doing damage, as these mechanics will often kill you. Only use your Spear Hand Strike to interrupt his heals (Regenerating Carapace and Blood-Infused Carapace). Brann should dispel Enfeebling Spittle the first time it’s cast on you but then won’t dispel the next couple, so watch your debuffs and be ready to use Roll or Tiger’s Lust to remove it asap.

Save cooldowns (e.g. Storm, Earth, Fire or Xuen) for the cocoons but try to position yourself so you are facing both the cocoon and Zekvir to cleave damage both. You should use Touch of Death on the cocoons, especially if avoiding other mechanics has put you behind damaging it down fast enough. If you spec into the Fatal Touch talent this is possible more often.

If you don’t kill the cocoon before the spider hatches it will start to cast Web Blast which will stun you and do a ton of damage, typically killing you. You can use Leg Sweep to stun the spider or Paralyze to incapacitate and delay its cast long enough to finish it off. You can also use Spear Hand Strike to interrupt its cast but that may mean you can’t interrupt the boss’s heal, depending on the timing, which is not ideal.

Final tips: If you use Whirling Dragon Punch be cautious timing when you use it, as the second you’re whirling in the air will delay you from getting away from an attack. Avoid the platform in the room when possible as I had several deaths from trying to roll over it and getting stuck. I also couldn’t see the Claw Smash frontal when on the platform. For his fear (Horrendous Roar) normally I would just run out of it as you have time if you move right as he starts casting. Save your rolls or other mobility when possible.

Otherwise I’d follow the other advice on using Brann as healer and buffing yourself as much as possible. If you switch to Mistweaver spec and then back to Windwalker before the fight Brann will put down a campfire you can click on and after ten seconds gain a second food buff that grants you 5% agility. Success will take the right combination of practice and luck, so I wish you well!

seems well out of reach for any reasonable player ... anyone under 620-630 ilvl will struggle to kill this mob if possible at all ... 616 unholy dk 20 year veteran of the game i know how to play my class and i cannot kill this mob ... cannot even get him to phase 2 because it seems to be vastly overtuned ... im sure im just undergeared for this but it seems kinda insane since you can only reach AT BEST ilvl 620 with delves (full vault gear+ upgrades) soo now how does someone who doesnt do mythic raiding and absolutely hates M+ accomplish this achievement? the answer is they dont ... b.c i can tell you after many many attempts i cannot get anywhere NEAR killing him with a level 52 brann ... i get that this is ment to be a skill challenge but it is far beyond any other skill challenge they have in the game ... much harder then either of the dk dps mage tower challenges imo

Just completed ?.? on my Ret main at 617 ilvl. My tips for Ret:

Keep it simple. I've watched a raider's YouTube guide for Ret and he suggested Execution Sentence + cool down reduction talents for eggs, but I kept forgetting so moved those points to passive damage.

Select Radiant Glory Ret talent and save it exclusively for the eggs. This was the key talent for me when killing those eggs, and as soon as I switched I found the encounter much easier.

Get an on-use trink (I used Gladiator's Badge) . If cocoon spawns on the platform or in corner right next to platform, use it with Wake of Ashes / Radiant Glory to nuke it down as these are dangerous spots. Note that whilst you can't run up the sides of the platform, you can jump up them.

Select Lightbearer talent in Pally tree to passively heal Brann. Heal him during the transition at 60%. If he dies, wait for him to respawn rather than trying to revive him.

Get DBM or BigWigs and set a specific alert sound for Zek's health regen. Macro your interrupt to target Zek, interrupt its self heal and then return to egg.

Select Brann's Idol of the Earthmother and not Porcelain Arrowhead as some guides suggest. The shield is more important. Amorphous Relic was my second choice.

Blessing of freedom dispells enfeebling spittle. Do not interrupt or you'll miss a Zek health regen.

In phase two, you can spot the blue orbs as they are forming near the inside edge of the blue circle. That tells you where not to be.

It took me between 60-70 attempts in total, though probably half of those were either bad luck deaths or stupid deaths early on as I got to grips with moving around, dodging mechanics etc. After changing from vanilla Wings to Radiant Glory it took around 10 attempts.

Just got this after 11 attempts as a 613 Ret, it was by no means a dps check, at the end, i had 456k dps according to details.
(My Brann is a healer, level 31, and i had Porcelain Arrowhead Idol and Amorphous Relic, tho i don't think this is very relevant, he was dead half the fight anyways haha)
-put him on focus target with a large cast bar
-on every Enfeebling Spittle cast freedom
-save wake of ashes for cocoons and only do them after kicking heal or dodging the frontals.
-in p2 take your time, focus on mechanics over doing damage (this is by far the greatest piece of info imho.)

i think the fight is quite simple, you just can't stress it and keep cool, watch the focus frame all the time, don't worry about the dmg downtime and stay away from everything when the portals are up.

I just did it as a Guardian Druid it only took me 121 attemps and 630 ilvl. Mage tower was very easy compared to this tbh. Druid of the claw really helped me with the last DPS needed for the eggs when i had bad overlaps. I would agree with what others have said and take your time, make sure to not insta-rush to egg to help bait out fears etc away from them. It might feel like you are losing dps this way but this improved my last couple of rounds by alot!

I played with Brann as DPS to help me do extra damage. Not sure if its needed but survivability was never an issue with this ilvl anyway so i figured why not. I cant swear on it but it felt like i got way more dino-eggs spawning when i had him as DPS aswell wich helped with the bad eggs even more.

For trinkets i used Void reapers contract and Harvesters edict just to have as many sources of extra dps as possible.

So after about 30 attempts I finally figured out how to not panic and actually think during the fight. I did it with a 619 ret pally and a lvl52 healer Brann with Porcelain Arrowhead and Amorphous Relic (tbh Brann's ilvl doesn't matter because his AI is just absolute garbage anyways, not dropping potions on the floor in time, dying to random &*!@ and so on). If they really want to improve game experience just copy the AI from Follower Dungeons so Brann wouldn't play as horrible as a day-one player while having one disability for each sense.

I used a generic single target talent for it but tbh besides the eggs there is no dps check in this fight, no enrage or anything so probably you could beat it even at 610ish.

As a ret pally, keep your Wake of the Ashes for the eggs (Execution Sentence isn't needed for it since it probably dies within 10sec), the good thing is they kinda have a similar cooldown. Always run out of aoe instead of damaging the egg. You have 20sec to kill it, so just relax, that's plenty time.

Also make a target-kick macro for Zekvir, there will be some situations where you have to switch from the egg to kick him.

When he casts his Enfeebling Spittle just use your Blessing of Freedom. I never waited for Brann to dispel it (because he is as reliable as a 20 year old German car), since BoF has a lower CD than Sprittle so I can just use it whenever I want. Also, you can pre-cast it (since having it on makes you immune to the Sprittle), so you can focus on running out of fear, shockwave etc...

In P2 what gave me a lot of headache was the fear circle shooting out balls, and insta wiping me (threw one run at jut 2.5M health left because of that, and a lot more at around 30%). The key is to look for the visual indicator, while the circle is on.

For the portals I always just ran out of their circle (pentagon? i don't even know how many he spawns), since I don't have to hurry to kill him dodging it is way more important than dealing a bit more extra damage.

The swirlies (especially if you also have an egg to kill) I just bait him, so don't just run around, let him cast it underneath you and just move a little bit away, preferably a bit further away of the egg.

In case Brann dies don't try to ressurect him, he will come back anyways. Mine died like twice during the fight and still came back for a third one. Of course keep a healing potion with you, since you can never rely on his heals actually landing, or randomly despawning from the floor etc...

The most annoying thing about this fight is when there are randomly multiple actions, like an egg in the other side of the room, while he heals himself, so you have to run all the way back to kick him (and you won't make it in time because your horse was wasted on outrunning the aoe damage), while immediately doing a fear circle right after it. Also don't look at his HP, I immediately paniced around 30M left, thinking I almost got it and I just couldn't focus on his mechanics.

So don't worry, there will be a lot of !@#$ty situations that you just cannot solve. The biggest enemy in this fight is just random bull!@#$. I hope the devs actually tried to beat him 100 times before thinking "hmm, yes this is a fun and challenging fight, and definitely not just a random clownfiesta, like the rest of this expansion".

I just got is on my ilvl 619 fury warrior today (Patch 11.0.5).

In addition to what FlasKamel said, I would really recommand Odyn's Fury with the Titan's Torment talent to counter Enfeebling Spittle as it's a magic DoT with snaring/slow effect. Bitter Immunity will not work it becasue it's magic.

Then you can use either one of the three:

Try your best to NOT corner yourself, as a melee you do not want camera collision to block your views during this encounter, and avoid walking over the platform in the back of the room becasue the stairs may slow or even block your movement to dodge things.

A few bits of advice for any Hunters trying this:

He's kinda buggy and will melee any pets for 4-5 million damage, almost always one shotting them. I'd advise running as either survival or MM with your pet's growl turned off. I found as BM my pets would keep pulling aggro and being killed.
Don't worry too much about face tanking his melee hits, he does about 1.8m per hit and attacks quite slowly, he will also frequently stop to use various abilities
Run Brann as a healer, pick up the red medicine vials in between taking melee hits to keep your HP topped up
Always save your interrupt for the heal
When your get hit with the spittle, hit disengage as soon as the debuff appears and you should avoid taking any damage from it
Try and keep at max range and book it out of the fear AoE, even if the damage doesn't kill you being feared for 5 seconds probably will - do not disengage out of the fear or you will die to the spittle
Focus the eggs as soon as they spawn
Save turtle in case Brann gets knocked out and you need to revive him
Save Cheetah in case you need to move out of one of the big AoE hits
Save your big cooldowns and primal rage for after the intermission at 60%, the second phase is much more deadly than the first
It isn't a DPS race so just focus on the mechanics and keep chipping away at him. As long as you keep picking up the medicine vials and stay in range of Brann's healing orb, he shouldn't be able to kill you. Most deaths will come from being hit by avoidable stuff.
Don't get greedy when he gets to low HP - two of my deaths came < 5% hp because I tried to burn him and got killed by the fear AoE.

HELPFUL WARRIOR TIPS:

I just completed this in Fury spec. 613 Item level. My Bran is level 42 and I had him healing me. Used Unbreakable Iron Idol and Amorphous Relic

Took 8 minutes to kill him and I had probably 70 attempts. A lot of attempts I know, but I got him eventually. Over 50 of those attempts were without Deadly Boss Mods (DBM) addon. I have recently returned to playing WoW again and had put off getting that addon. It was super helpful to keep track of this boss' 7 insanely important abilities and which one he was going to use next. Don't be proud and stupid like me. Get the addon.

The main issue for warriors in my opinion is the Enfeebling Spittle. You have to use your only interrupt on Blood-Infused Carapace. Bran can cleanse one every minute which means that you have to deal with two Enfeebling Spittle on your own. Abilities that remove movement impairing effects completely remove the Enfeebling Spittle. I was using Relentless Pursuit from the Slayer hero talents because it had the lowest cooldown but trying to reposition myself just to be able remove the poison often lead to getting one shot by something. I felt that I needed to save and stagger Bladestorm and Avatar to kill the add egg timely. Sometimes the Enfeebling Spittle lined up with killing the add egg but most of the time it didn't. I had completely forgotten about Odyn's Fury and the talent Titan's Torment. Once I started using Odyn's to cleanse myself, I was able to devote pretty much all of my cooldowns to killing the eggs and the boss at my own discretion. This made ALL the difference!

I happened to have a trinket that really helped also: Mad Queen's Mandate. Mine was 619 and it did approximately 65% damage to the egg and could be cast while moving. Especially in the second phase, this was incredibly useful!

overtuned vs casters definely. Almost imposible for frost mage who aint luck with crits and procs. Failed many runs just becase cant crack the egg. Bacause all lances and Glacial Spike simply dont crit. Without procs ur lances r completly *!@#. But u cant get this procs cos u have to always move at p2. Cos he always cast something. Wasted almost 2h until all stars come together

As frost mage, I ran frostifre with death's chill and GS. I used blink that removes stuns (with ice floes).

So basically kick only heal (duh), use energized barriers for the DoT. Phase 1 go slow with no CD/BL and just methodically get him low. Usem mirror images to get him off you. When he does black blood - pop everything. In phase 2 I ignored eggs completely. When I got stunned by an add, I just blinked it. When adds stacked with boss, they'd get cleaved by damage and die so I was not overwhelmed.

It took me 15 attempts and I was changing my ideas / talents between tries to find something suitable.

Just did it yesterday as a 608 iLVL BM Hunter. Like others say, it's not a dps check, other than being able to burn down the cocoon. I was mad furious, because i thought it's overtuned, and straight up unfair. But after 15-20 pulls i realized that it's like a mythic raidboss. Doing mechanics, and staying alive is the key. You have to focus for like 4-5 minutes, no mistakes allowed, but this is how it is. Sub 5%, you can ignore the cocoon, otherwise it's your priority. Don't go ape@#$% on hím, pick up branns pots, he will die eventually.

Honestly not the worst fight for an Arcane Mages skillset, it really just comes down to clever management of cooldowns, some tips:

- You can use Prismatic/Mass Barrier to dispel Enfeebling Spittle and save your interrupts exclusively for the Blood-Infused Carapace without having to worry about the Brann Interrupt RNG.
- Utilize your charges of Shimmer to relocate around the arena ONLY to save yourself from his Frontal Cone & Fear AoE to allow yourself to continue your rotation on zekvir or the egg spawns without actually needing to move as much. This will help maximize your dps uptime.
- Alter time Resets one charge of Shimmer, quickly use the ability twice in succession in a dire situation and shimmer away if you need to escape one of zekvirs one shot abilities. (Spec into Master of Time Required)
- Utilize Shifting Power to reduce the cooldowns on your blinks, barriers and counterspell in addition to your DPS cooldowns.
- Always use your Touch of the Magi to burst down eggs.
- I found Spellslinger the better Hero Talent spec in this fight, it was more reliable to consistently burst down the eggs, and deals more shared damage to zekvir.

If you're looking for just a little more edge and it hasn't been noted yet, you can of course get a standard food buff from items like Beledar's Bounty, additionally though If you have a class with a self heal you can simply spam before the encounter (perhaps there is a way without selfheal) to get Brann to spawn his little campfire, it will grant an additional food buff towards main stat.

TLDR: You can have Second Breakfast!

This fight is really badly designed. Specially for player that have above 100ms latency because we live in south america and the servers are in the US. Seriously, it makes a huge difference to play an MMO with above 100ms and whey they try to implement a fromsoftware mechanic on this kind of game it becomes really really frustrating.

Finally managed this as a 621 ilvl blood DK with a lvl 52 DPS Brann, Amorphous Relic (resetting for the shrink buff - the extra movement speed is very helpful) and Porcelain Arrowhead Idol. Fight clocked in around the 5 minute mark.

Turns out swapping Brann off healer was just the move I needed to make to get results, as I started to get more consistency on my runs, hitting 10-20% more often than before, though as I found out, Kill Shot doesnt work for Zekvir so it wasnt as much of a benefit as I first thought. I did have to manage my defensive cooldowns a lot more than if Brann was healer, but that was to be expected I guess.

Yes, I know a DPS spec may have been better on paper, but truth be told, I suck at DPS DK, and I much prefer playing blood, so I stuck with what I'm comfortable with.

Tanked Zekvir in the little room by the door for as much of the fight as I could, as this stops adds from spawning (he requires line of sight of the spawnpoint, so 9 times out of 10, the eggs just never spawn in and I could keep focussing damage on Zekvir - the one time they do spawn though it's usually the exact opposite side of the room to the door). Most I moved was for spikes and fears, and if he escaped, kiting him back inside before he could summon an add.

Super happy and relieved to have completed it at last after so many weeks of failed attempts.

Beating Zekvir tips (as a MM hunter):
----------------------
NOT a normal hunter fight. So up until now my entire premise has been to be at ranged. The problem with this fight is YOU have to be the "melee"/"Tank" of the fight. You can't let your pet tank.
I didn't test in the ? difficulty but in the ? difficulty he WILL one shot your pet a LOT so you can't try to do the usual strat of having your pet tank.
- I didn't really test but it seems like as long as your pets not tanking/not the #1 on the bosses agro table it should survive on its own if you want to have a pet out during the encounter.

? fight vs ? is MASSIVELY different in difficulty. While the mechanics are basically the same basically every mechanic will one shot you on ?, the mechanics are cast faster, and both the boss and the cocoon have masively larger hp pools

1. Basically everything will one shot you but the bosses melee itself. But all the "Abilities" will one shot you.
2. Movement is key. You have to CONSTANTLY be moving.
- You need to be close to the boss to quickly move out of the crushing blow. If your too far away you wont be able to move out of its cone in time. Aspect of the tutle can save you tho.
- You also need to be ready to move away from the boss as moving away will both mean the boss is not meleeing you, allowing you more time to get healed
- DON'T use disengage to move.
3. Have Brann be a healer
- This is a requirement. I don't think its possible unless hes a healer as a hunter.
4. Don't rely on Brann dispelling the dot/slow. As a hunter DON'T use disengage for anything else. Save it for when he casts the dot/slow and use it then. Because its a slow disengage will remove it and if you disengage quick enough it wont have a chance to even tick off any dmg to you. This is the only ability he casts you can survive a couple ticks of but best to not tempt fate.
5. Interrupt Zeks healing ability as #1 priority. Don't interrupt anything else. I made a weak aura (below) to cover half your screen so you know to interrupt. Technically you can keep going but if he heals it will make the fight last that much longer and the longer the fight goes on the more chances for you to make a mistake and wipe.
6. Save and alternate your cooldowns (volley and trueshot) for the egg cocoon. As tempting as it is to focus heavily on the boss with your cooldowns its more critical you kill the cocoon before it spawns the adds. If it spawns the adds your most likely dead because it will web which can kill you directly or will keep you trapped if you survive the webbing and you'll die from one of the bosses abilities you can no longer dodge.
7. Be careful of health when the boss is 50% or lower. I found Brann would sometimes get "knocked out" so you have to watch your health and if you can delay/kite the boss to avoid melee dmg until then. The good thing is because of his new abilities theres more lengths of time where hes not meleeing you directly.
Personally I steady shot the boss down. If I had procs of Black Arrow, aimed shot, or rapid fire or explosive shot were up i'd use those but otherwise I was just using steady shot and some arcane shots. You have to be move almost constantly so can't be standing still casting most of the time.

When boss reached Sub 20% I popped everything:
- I summoned my wolf pet and used him to pop hero
- I used a dps pot
- I cast true shot
- I used volley on the boss
- I elected to use ice trap on the add if it popped rather then dpsing it/the cocoon down so I could focus on the boss the last 15% or so.

Branns "Dwarven medicine"
- While in the delves I would try to keep stacks of these going I found I really didn't need to focus on that too much. Basically almost all his abilities one shot you anyways. So you just have to heal thru the melee strikes. So just take a couple melee then take 1-2 pots off the ground. Brann will be healing you as well and also use his orb healing thingy. So as long as you pick up pots when you get hit a couple times you should be fine. And since he will usually only do a couple hits then use ability ability it wasn't too hard to just have the pots as needed. I never had to "chain" the pots and worry about the timing of them and keeping them up like I do in delves.

Boss's mechanics and how to counter them:
Regenerating Carapace/Blood-Infused Carapace: Will heal the boss for 10% if it goes off. In phase 2 it heals for 25%
- This should be priority over everything to interrupt. Don't interrupt anything else. I have a macro and weak aura below to interrupt focus (which I make zekvir) and for the macro to cover up half my screen until I interrupt. Because he'll be casting it he shouldn't be using any other abilities so you dont have to worry about dying because of it covering your screen. While this won't one shot you it WILL cause the fight to be prolonged that much longer and the longer the fight goes on the more chances of screwing up.
Enfeebling Spittle: Will cast a Damage over time (DOT) on you that also slows you
- Because it has a slow mechanic you can disengage to remove this. You can survive 1-2 ticks usually but don't risk it. Disengage asap to remove it. Be sure to save disengage for this DOT. Brann can dispel it but its random. Sometimes he will and sometimes he wont or will wait a few ticks to dispel so don't rely on him for this.
Claw Smash: Will do an aoe brown cone that will one shot you
- Be close to the boss and run behind /to the side
Horrendous Roar: Will fear you and do a lot of damage. In phase 2 will 1 shot you.
- Run out of this as quickly as possible. In phase 2 ALSO look for 4 "shiny points of lights" on the outer edge of the circle that form a square pattern around the boss almost. They will shoot off (from the boss to the points is the direction they go) and one shot you if your in their path. So on top of running out of the circle ALSO be sure to not be in the path of these. They almost always seem to spawn where one of these is pointed in the direction you had just run away from the boss so once your out of the circle try to run along its edge as well.
Call of Web Terror/Egg Cocoon: Shows a cocoon at a random spot. Will spawn an add after 15 sec or so that will web you (which deals a lot of dmg and prevents you from moving. So if the web shot doesn't kill you the boss will when you cant move out of the abilities). The add has double the hp as the cocoon. Not sure but the timer seems to be increased on phase 2 for the cocoon.
- Needs to be dpsed down as priority. Save your cooldowns for this. I have the "kill zone" talent for volley so on top of volleys dmg it lets me do extra dmg to anything in volley. If you can alternate between volley and true shot on these but if need be use both to get it down asap. Only the bosses heal should take precedence.
Angler’s Web: Will fire out a bolt web in the direction hes facing. In phase 2 wil have purple portals and the bolt will actually shoot into one portal and out of another portal towards another one and so on. Think of it like the game "portals" just with like 7 or so instead of the 2.
- Unlike the cone from the claw smash is pretty easy to avoid in phase 1. Just side step out of it. In phase 2 because of the portals it becomes much more complex. Basically your best bet is to run away from all the portals. As long as your not in between 2 portals your safe from this attack. Usually just running away form the boss entirely is the safest bet for this attack until the portals disappear.
Unending Spikes: Phase 2 only. Spawns swirly brown circles that spawn spikes for 15 sec or so. I think these one shot if they hit.
- Basically just keeping running around randomly being sure to avoid the brown swirlies on the ground. I found these happen usually right after egg cocoon spawns.
- Asides from having to move constantly I actually found it a "breather" from his other abilities personally. Would give brann a chance to heal me.
MELEE: Just the boss meleeing you
- So only real counter to this is running away from the boss. He has to chase you to continue to melee you. He also doesn't melee when using his abilities. So just keep kiting him and using brans pots to heal as well as brans other heals. I found as long as I kept picking up pots and such I very rarely ever died from the melee. Just be careful in phase 2 as Brann will probably be knocked out once or twice. Forutntaely phase 2 offers more abilities meaning more time in between melee which gives more time for brann to recover.

I tried to opt out of anything related to AOE with the expectation of rapid fire and volley.
- Unfortunately theres not a lot of useful changes under the hunter tree you can really change.
- On the Marksman's side there's a lot of good picks here but general avoid anything related to multi shot or trick shot
- I opted for bullseye because I figured the last 20% would really be my final huge dps push where I'd pop everything. Plus I figured I could get some procs from bullseye off killing the cocoon.
- The main reason I opted for volley talents was the Kill zone talent really helps to dps the cocoon down faster.
- Basically pick whatever talents you think will allow you to do burst dmg. The boss's health will widdle down eventually but being able to take out the cocoons before they spawn an add is the second most important thing.
- On the Hero talents I chose dark ranger because Zek will move around a lot so you can't really make use of the sentinel ability as well. Also having the proc of black arrow helps a lot on both the cocoons and the boss.

Macros:
1. Target cocoon. Not super critical but helpful as sometimes I can't see/spot the cocoon and trying to tab target it (especially when branns egg is up) is annoying

2. Stop casting and interrupt my focus (Be sure to set Zekvir as your focus). Super important to interrupt the heal.

I modified this weak aura from another I found but basically the 3 main components are:
1. A Text to say when the cocoons are up. I am a bit mixed on if I should adjust this or not. Part of me wants to adjust it to make it easier to see but since it takes time to kill the cocoon I don't want a visual to be interfering with my ability to see other things.

2. An icon to show when I have the dot/slow debuff on me. Its large enough to notice but not enough to impede my ability to see. As long as I notice it

3. Both an Icon and a progress/timer bar for Zekvir casting BOTH his healing abilities. This was the important WA I made/modified. I had it cover like half the screen because it NEEDS to be interrupted over anything else. Unlike the cocoons this is just a simple face him and spam interrupt so won't cause me to die from not being able to see unless I am waiting an extended period to interrupt. Also hes usually not casting anything else while this is going off. The main reason I need this though is so is if I miss that hes casting, especially when I am attacking the cocoons. Technically you don't die from him healing but it will prolong the fight which in turn means that many more chances of death

Perfect execution and placement and non-standard techniques are the only way this is remotely possible. If you treat him like a normal raid boss, you will die.

Zekvir will one-shot any pet who gains aggro. This is a problem as BM due to the source of our DPS being almost exclusively from pet. The solution is to turn off Growl and only summon pet after about 5-10 seconds of single-target, non-pet attacks. This keeps aggo on you.

Interrupt Regenerating Carapace, and get familiar with its animation to know when to swap off of Egg Cocoon. Kill Egg Cocoon before it turns into Web Terror. ALLOW the Enfeebling Spittle cast to go off, then Disengage to clear the debuff. Stand near enough to him to have mobility to get out of his cone; if this is impossible, Aspect of the Turtle will protect you, but only once. Expect 1 pet death but maintain Mend Pet, cast Exhilaration and collect health pots to heal pet. If pet dies when the Web Terror is hatching, feign death and try again. Survival of the Fittest also has a HoT, so use that when necessary while face tanking him.

As soon as he starts the phase change, use Primal Rage. For the rest of the fight, proceed as before, dodging balls from blue portals and the swirls on the ground.

At ~50 million health, I ignored the web terror, let him hatch, and freezing trapped him. When I won, another webbed terror was in the process of hatching.

Came late to the party, but I knew it was gonna be a do it later and it will be easier type of content, as 629 enh it took me 16 tries, realizing after 13 tries that Zekvir's spit can be outplayed with ghost wolf "tactic", so interrupt can go to healing, after this, it was easy (ofc it is with good ilvl and the most broken spec lmao)

After finally taking this guy down on ? I wanted to add my two cents to the fight.

Took him down after 12 minutes, with 90+ attempts on a 612 BM Hunter, Brann level 45, no food or pots as I kept dying to much to warrant using them.
Zekvir has an anti-cheese mechanic where auto-attacks against pets one-shot them, so for pet classes they must NEVER take aggro. Switch off Growl, dismiss them and engage Zekvir by yourself, re-summon pets after. On rare occasion the first Kill Command would still rip aggro, so rez the pet when Zek does the Fear move.

Misdirection also seems... interesting in this fight. The first few times all aggro was taken by Brann, who, whilst able to tank all abilities from Zek, can only withstand a few auto-attacks before dying. Brann seemed kind of buggy for the fight, sometimes dying and insta rezzing, but the one lifesaver for me was that Misdirection meant Claw Smash was directed toward Brann 75% of the time, even if the rest wasn't.

Other tips:
I never bothered with Mend Pet, it was a waste of a cast as the pet is either alive or dead, no real inbetween. Branns health potions are the key to victory, as they heal both you and your pet, and you will tank so much more damage than your pet will. I used a weakaura to track the health over time which I found useful. As a note, failing to get at least 2 potions meant I would have to use a defensive heal to keep on top of auto-attacks damage, Zek deals 3M per hit, and would crit for 5M. I was running back and forward the whole fight to make Zek run and reduce auto attacks.

Phase 2 is genuinely easier as it becomes a mechanics dodge exercise rather than a race to keep your health up. Only real sticking point is the cocoons, save all burst for them. If you can't break it, use Intimidation to stun the spider, or Explosive trap. Never had to use more than that. Best of luck!

Quick tips:

1) This fight has tons of RNG. Dont be sad of taking more than 1 hour to down it, due the RNG. Sometimes brann position is awful, sometimes Zekvir position a cocoon in a bad spot and combo with a frontal cone. Take it easy, you will down him.

2) Brann healer is the way to go with Amorphous Relic and Porcelain Arrowhead Idol if you are Ret Paladin. He will sometimes dispell your enfible, sometimes will shield you that prevent fear. Always dispell (with something) the enfible.

3) Prio:
Stay alive (avoiding death mechanics) > interrupt healing cast > dispell your enfible > break cocoon > everything else.

4) Transition phase he becomes 99% shielded. Use this time to break a cocoon, or to breath.

5) Even if you are not used to turn on the audio, on this fight may help a lot. And with this weakaura https://wago.io/OVBa5tA5C better (remember to set focus on Zekvir for the aura to work more properly).

6) After transition phase his Fear is changed. Everytime he fear (the purple circle) 4 balls will rush toward north, south, east and west points. The web frontal cone changes too with the portals. Avoid them at all costs.

7) Low your health or your mana before the fight start so brann can put down a fire camp (and you grab the nice buff).

Some tips:

0) Use a high end flask, I used a versatility flask, and Brann should be set to Healer.

0b) There is a rotation of mechanics to the fight, and you will get the hang of it if you do it enough times.

1) Stick relatively close to Zekvir throughout the fight so you can easily avoid the cone of insta-death he emits.

2) Pet growl off the entire fight.

3) Begin fight using a handful of your own attacks, then you can put the pet(s) on him.

4) Disengage after Zekvir casts Enfeebling Spittle on you, and never interrupt that cast. The little speed boost after disengage makes this an easy dispell anyway.

5) Always interrupt Zekvir's Healing/Regeneration/Carapace cast, since this is the only thing you should interrupt, your cooldown should be completed each time.

6) Full DPS and Cooldowns on the Webbed Cocoon and it should always be killed off before it hatches, in the event it does hatch, use intimidation on the hatched Web Terror to interrupt its cast if you can't kill it time--but you better not let it hatch again, the fight is chaotic enough without that thing showing up.

7) Get out of the big purple circle before it finishes casting or else you get feared around and likely killed shortly thereafter.

8) At 60% Zekvir's Phase 2 begins. Stay out of portals he spawns, avoid the blue balls/orbs, do not stand in the blue circle--stay out of bad stuff on the ground, continue your mechanics from phase 1, interrupt his healing cast, kill the webbed cocoon before it hatches, disengage after Enfeebling cast on you, avoid the cone of instant-death, etc.

8b) Phase 2 was easier for me than Phase 1, decades of raiding experience certainly helped to just stay out of bad stuff on the ground and keep moving.

9) Always try to pick up Brann's health potion when Zekvir hit you and your health takes a drop, then another potion when he does it again. I usually had one spare potion up which was fine because sometimes Brann would throw 2 pots on top of each other anyway.

10) I never used lust/hero but if I did it would have been in Phase 2. I didn't use misdirect either (not in my talents), since I'm supposed to have aggro on Zekvir anyway.

11) tldr - Avoid Zekvir's cone of instant death, interrupt Zekvir's heal, kill Webbed Cocoon before it hatches, stay out of bad stuff, grab Brann's health pot or two when Zekvir slaps you, rinse & repeat mechanics until 0%.

I beat it yesterday on a 622 Frost DK. 655 circes ring and a 636 main hand omen sword.

The hardest part is just dealing with bad RNG and kind of "internalizing" where to stand to get the best mechanic combos. I used a flask and healing potions. If he combos you at the top the stairs with fear that can be pretty brutal. You want to get into the habit of guessing the next mechanic. So if he just did a cone, and a self heal there's likely a fear coming etc. Learn to anticipate the next mechanic it helps a lot.

Remember tp pickup Bran's healing pots because they put a healing HOT on you.

Save your big cooldowns for the cocoons.

I used arrowhead and amorphous relics. Bran 50.

Finally got it after a lot of attempts (~20 pulls on Warlock, did a few on my main and some other alts to figure out which class/spec I preferred for this). Honestly might sound weird but I find mythic raiding to be easier...

Eventually did it on a Destruction Warlock alt, coming in at iLvl 623. Honestly the worst part of it for me was accidentally interrupting Enfeeble, or having to waste my Demonic Gateway on mobility as opposed to dispelling Enfeeble, or just having the terrible luck of gating into a frontal that I couldn't move out of. Beyond that, Warlock feels like a very good counter to Zekvir, with a good balance between tankiness and damage.

I also ended up getting very stressed the closer I got to the end. Very important to just keep breathing and just keep playing. In the kill attempt I even missed one interrupt in the second phase, leading to Zekvir going back to 65% health. Whilst it might be best to restart at that point, it is definitely not unkillable if that happens. Just don't get frustrated.

I used 3* Flask and Mana oil, and cheap (crit buffing) food. I find a class that favours crit is especially good here since you won't always get to continiously cast, so every hit has to count for what it is worth.

Shadowburn is very important here to have some mobility dps, and for finishing off the spawn. Diabolist is better in my opinion as it has a lot more burst damage, and Soul-Etched Circles is very good for getting out of a dodgy situation after dispelling Enfeeble. Also the extra passive damage from your demons is great for high movement periods. Manual Havoc is essential for smooth egg killing (either put Havoc on Zekvir and switch target, or vice versa, doesn't really matter if you have a focus target or target switch macro for the interrupt).

Just got this achievement today after way too many runs. I had some really close calls but didn't finish it. There are rng situations that kill you, which leads to some frustrations, and that's just the way it is. If you're struggling don't give up, take a break, hit reset and go again! There's still time to get it done.

I used Beledar's Bounty food buff, Flask of Alchemical Chaos and Ironclaw Whetstone.

I changed some of the DBM notifications to add a voice or change it. DBM seemed to be hit/miss sometimes on timing.

I used addon "TurnIn" on Curseforge - this is a great addon, but for this I set it up to repair my gear after dying with one click when clicking the Brann setup/supply box.

I used the macros below that really helped me :

Definitely set Rebuke to target Zekvir.

/cast Rebuke

I set up a Blessing of Freedom macro to also use Divine Shield as a back up if I accidentally or intentionally use Blessing of Freedom.

When I was dpsing the cocoon, then had to interupt Zekvir with the other macro, I could hit Wake of Ashes again to re-target the cocoon and continue dpsing. This really helped.

Honestly might just be a bust for me extremely badly designed and RNG heavy favoring some classes WAY over others. If one class is killing ? at 603 ilevel while others still can't at 630 with the same level of skill you failed at your job as a designer. Its not even a 'challenge' its bring the class not the player multiplied by RNG and bad design.

I got him down today as a feral druid. My item level was not as high as others, but I had about 615. Having a convoke on a one-minute CD helps a lot, and also get that feral frenzy talent. Always save all DPS CDs for the web egg and don't pop them all together save them for the next one. Kill the egg as soon as possible, and the rest are not so hard. Swtich forms to remove the enfeeble dot. Keep the boss in the middle of the room as much as you can. I felt Feral was quite hard to play than other classes or specs.

I wasn't going to bother with delves or Zek'vir but last night I watched Zepla on Twitch having a go at him on a fresh-ish iLvl 595 retribution paladin and she was getting him well down into phase 2. That inspired me to have a try myself, so thanks Zepla!

Just finished my first Tiers 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 and was amazed that I got normal ?Zek'vir down on my first try (608 iLvl paladin with a maxed-out Siren Isle ring, so definitely overgeared him but I'm a pretty terrible player so I was very happy indeed).

From watching about an hour of Zepla valiantly plugging away at him on ?-? difficulty, I learned a lot about the mechanics - hopefully all I'll need - and, most importantly the fact that it seems pretty do-able. I'm going to make sure I have health potions, some kind of target interrupt macro and a couple of weakauras that remind me to interrupt his heal and dispel the spittle. EDIT: added another weakaura to give me a heads-up for phase two's fear, Infinite Horror; the one that shoots out the insta-kill orbs.

EDIT 1: so, Tier 10 delves turned out to be waaaay harder than soloing ?Zek'vir (for me, at least; I hope that you have an easier time of it). Died more times than I care to mention, when I thought I was just going to waltz through it, lol. Consequently, I've added food, flask and weapon oil to the list of consumables that I think are going to be necessary. Going to start on Zek?-? today. Wish me luck. Oh and Zepla finally managed it after a second big session; her paladin was iLvl 599 at the time of the kill. There is hope!

EDIT 2: took me a few sessions and many deaths but, like Zepla, I just kept plugging away and got there in the end. For me, the key factor was repetiton until the fight was internalised. Taking some time off between sessions to let my brain process things made a big difference; I was much better each time after doing that. 609 iLvl at time of kill, Level 19 healer Brann with 1/4 Porcelain Arrowhead and 3/4 Relic of Sentience. I killed him yesterday after 90+ attempts as a Vengeance DH, went with Brann as DPS with Porcelain and Amorphous. My Brann is LVL 36.
My ilvl was 633 at time of kill.

This was hard as @#$%, but got the achievement and the custom skin for dirigible, so I won't go back again.

Basically I rotate The Hunt and Sigil of Spite for every spider, use meta on CD if it coincides with spider is better. Everytime I hit 2nd phase I just took deep breaths and pray for good RNG until I got the kill.
I used pot and meta on pull, have all enchants, food and elixir. (Used Brann food buff)

This is a heavy RNG fight, and not suitable for many classes. I'm a Veng DH main since BFA and this was hard af.

Looks to be just about impossible on an elemental shaman. He hits too hard. the mechanics are doable if your anxiety is pushing a 10 out of 10 but the amount of damage he does to you on a normal hit cant be sustained unfortunately.

I absolutely do not recommend using a tank spec. Stick to DPS for this fight. Tanks cannot deal enough damage to the eggs before they hatch, from my own experience on a 634+ tank. While it's certainly possible to defeat him as a tank, it is incredibly more frustrating and stressful than it needs to be. I will also add that this is an RNG heavy fight. The stars need to align for you. Keep boss' heal interrupted, cure the spittle dot asap, save your strongest attacks for the egg adds - don't waste them on the boss thinking an egg isn't going to spawn. Happy hunting, friends. o7

Downed today after numerous attempts over the last 2 weeks. Ret Pally ilvl 610 - Templar Single Target talent spec - Brann lvl 35 Healer- Porcelain Arrowhead Idol (Blue Quality) - Amorphous Relic (White quality - is there any other?). The comment by fellow ret pally slashtwo provided excellent help - I used the same consumables and the macros were super helpful.

These might be obvious tips but nonetheless:
Again, use macros. Enchant/gem/upgrade all your gear to max. Get Cyrce's Circlet (mine was ilvl 639 but had BiS gems - took me one round of dailies to get). Use consumables. I was using drums at some point but didn't on the kill. Didn't find them helpful enough for a noticeable difference.

I started with Brann at level 20. I did any bountiful delve on tier 8/9 (he usually gets one level per bountiful run) so he could be stronger. I feel like it helped significantly, or maybe I just got better after a bazillion tries.

I had DBM for the warnings but found the timers just vanished at times. So once you get a sense for the fight, try to keep in mind what ability he's used and what might be next. This is especially helpful in the 2nd phase - where ( in the case of a ret pally) you want to get range if he's about to cast his fear and/or webs, but you want to be closer for the cone blast/heal interrupt. Juggling that with having to get in range of the cocoon is tricky and if you get crappy cocoon placement it sucks.

Get the potions Brann throws. If Brann is KO'ed, be prepared to use more defensives/healings although he is not usually out for long.

Don't waste CD's during Black Blood he doesn't take damage.

Try to ignore his health bar if you can and just focus on mechanics. I died about 10 times when he was less than 10% because I made a mistake or just got some bad RNG.

Keep going if you screw up but didn't die. On my final try he healed himself twice.

Just completed it as a 610 Havoc DH (mostly tank gear, with dps enchants, oils & flask of chaos) with lvl 25 Brann. I used blur & immolation aura whenever it was up, picked up the pots that drop right away and saved eyebeam for eggs. Make sure to use vengeful retreat after he casts the dot because its counts as a snare and you can cleanse it. After that it's just mechanics and some luck on the timing of Zekvirs skills. I also saved meta for my last 10%.

On my last successful pull he would finish doing the web portal spit a second before he spawned the webbed spider which made the timing of everything easier. Took about 50 attempts but did about 150 attempts before I knew about the cleanse for the dot lol.

Something annoying that happens sometimes when you wipe and start the fight again is Brann will fail to throw potions at the start. 99% of the time that run is cooked and is always worth dying to reset.

Everyone saying this is impossible is experiencing a skill issue. Ele shaman, heroic gear, haven't touched the game meaningfully in months, took me less than 10 tries.

Wolf out of the dot with thundering paws, kick the heal, target swap when the cocoon spawns, rotate elementals with primal elementalist, pick up brann's potions, run him as healer.

It's kinda hard but not really that hard guys.

Well, after 130 tries with a 623 BM (Bran at 56 with Amorphous and Porcelain), Direhorn pet, Pack Leader Talent and all the bells and whistles that I could scare up in the form of food and flasks and potions and whatever...

I gave up.

This is meant for young, fully abled people, who have the time to spend on this. By the end of the night, my hands were cramping so badly (I have arthritis in both hands), that I couldn't even move them anymore.

You know... just *once* I'd like to see a dis-abled dev do one of these 'solo' contents and clear them with ease.

And the first person to tell me 'git gud' will get hit with a web bomb. >.<

Delves should not be tied to Seasons. Every achievement should be earnable at any time throughout the expansion.

It's like they think everyone who will ever play TWW is playing right this moment. Anyone who starts later or is on a break, will be have less content available because its tied to Seasons. So ridiculous.

The Lair is not shown on the map (for unknown reasons) but you can still enter it.
Killed it in 11.1 on Feb 28th and got the achievement.

614 Frost Mage
Mandatory talent: Energized Barriers.
Use your barrier spells (Ice Barrier or Mass Barrier) after Enfeebling Spittle is casted on you to dispell it (it's cheating I know).

There is a guy on YouTube (Tanks for Watching channel). He posted guides for each class with a kill in ~590 gear. Very useful tips.

Noticed something:
BRAN HAS TANK SPEC NOW (as of this week's 11.1 patch).

Did anyone try Brann in tank spec? Some classes can throw a heal to him, even as dps, and if you won't need that much healing, then it'll be a breezer way than trying Zek'vir chewing your HP thru melee, with Brann as healer.

Edit: Tried as DPS (Hunter) with him as tank, suffice to say it's a nono haha. If only his melee hits were 'fixed' (hitting like a truck on pets is a BUG for me, no matter what people will say), or his spell CDs weren't reduced, or increased on both difficulties, so the 'challenge' one would be more in line with stacking stuff.

The boss seems to be bugged for my Frost DK...or at least it feels like it for a simple reason.

He sometimes casts both of his interruptable spells immediatelly after one another. So if you interrupt the dot, he heals himself or vice-versa.

I was finally able to kill him on hunter(633, I'm rubbish at things like this and took me long) and yes you can still do him before the next reset to get the achievement and the mount look!
I tried Brann as tank and while he could take a few more hits than compared healer, he still died a lot. Probably could've been doable as while he was tanking him I had enough time to for my self heal to come off cooldown. He did die a lot more frequently as a healer compared to before the patch so keep that in mind and try save your defensives to when he's out. I would also recommend testing the tank out, see if it fits you. I still got halfway pretty decently with him tanking.

Completed on 3/1/25. 616 Marksmanship Hunter. Healer Brann. The Delve difficulty is now called "Tier 11 (Season 1)" but earns the achievements for "Tier ?" A weakaura like this https://wago.io/OVBa5tA5C is very helpful as well as a focus-interrupt macro for his healing ability. Good luck to the latecomers because the guaranteed drop is going away with the Tuesday (March 4th)

WW monk here. I procrastinated and didn't start attempting this until a couple days before 11.1 dropped. According to DBM I tried 65 times, getting him into the second phase maybe 1/3 of the time, and the closest I came was getting him to ~25% health. I gave up, thinking that the achievement would be unattainable after 11.1 dropped.

Lo and behold, we still have until season 2, so I decided to try again... and got it on my first try. I think they definitely tweaked it, I wasn't taking as many big hits from melee, and Brann was dead during over half of the fight, even dying in the first half.

So if you had given up before, give it another try!

One massive tip I haven't seen others mention. I wiped ~50 times trying him, then made this change and got it 3rd try.

I had done the max zoom command ages ago, but didn't realize it had been reset at some point. Only noticed the difference when I watched some people's successful clears and saw their further zoom.

The whole fight feels so much less chaotic when you can ACTUALLY SEE everything going on!

Finally got it after an unreasonable number of attempts; ilvl 620 Outlaw rogue. After the update, my Brann wouldn't dodge AOE abilities, so if he got hit by a cone or swirl, he instantly died. This made it so that I couldn't use Vanish (for extra damage on the eggs or to get rid of the slowing debuff). My solution was to swap Brann to DPS (with Porcelain Arrowhead Idol and Amorphous Relic) and just race the boss as hard as I could. Brann would actually move again and only died twice, which made it much more managable to be able to Vanish without fear of resetting the boss at 10% (again).

Just got this done as a 608 il Frost Dk and have few pointers for someone who's trying to get this done before Season 2

1. As mentioned in this thread, Brann has been acting strange since 11.1 dropped and dying alot during the fight. One bug that I encountered multiple times was him simply not healing at all, throwing down potions or dispeling the Enfeebling Spittle debuff. I think this has something to do with him not reseting properly after you wipe. I found out by switching his spec (for example to dps) and switch back to healing made this bug not occur.

2. Sometimes Brann would die early in P1 but would instantly revive. This will reset his dispel and could be a huge deal when playing a class that can't deal with every single Enfeebling Spittle debuff. Also for some reason the Enfeebling Spittle would not be applied, so I recommend only using your own spells to deal with it shortly after it has been applied and Brann dispel is on cd.

3. In P2 brann is dead 70-80% of the time, so you might have to play it more safe here with your own healing and dispels. Most of my deaths in P2 were going for the egg and him casting the big cone ability. Try to "bait" it away from the egg or get ready quickly dodge it. Not sure if range classes have it easier with this part but as a melee class this was the hardest part of the fight. Praying for good egg spawn might also help :)

at this point I am screwed out of getting this skin because this fight is horribly unbalanced at best and borderline broken as worst. I draw the line at brann being near permanently dead the entire fight and the occasional glitch where zekvir chases him out of the run and despawns completely.

Completed on MW monk 629 ilvl with hours to go until the new season. Took 11 tries total - maybe about an hour or so. Used food/flask/DF augment rune/mana oil.

Made sure to interrupt the heal, removed the dot/snare with tigers lust or dispell and had Brann on DPS. Used a cheesy DPS build - saved my overpowered lightning for the adds.
