The rare elites will drop between 1 and 3 items when killed. Each elite will always drop a piece of Rare BoP Armor, and has a small chance to drop a Small Bag of Goods.
If you're lucky they will also drop one of the items listed below, each one specific to that elite.

As of the latest beta build (15929), the rares no longer drop their epics or vanity/fun items and the bag we can't open but I suspect this will get fixed in a later patch. They still drop the blue piece of armour.

This achievement is actually not as hard as it looks. Here's a few tips:

1. The rare mobs seem to respawn roughly once every 1 hour. This is usually very exact, but I've seen some slight variation here
2. All 6 different rare mobs in a zone seem to (re-)spawn at the same time
3. Credit for this achievement will be granted raid-wide, as long as it is tagged for your group (i.e., not grey)

This means that you can camp one mob with a fixed spawn location very easily, and after you killed it head to all other locations in that zone. You might come late and lose one or several to other players, but most of the time you can get even more done. If someone announces a rare spawn in General chat, you can also head to all possible spawn locations and will probably find something. Also, if someone gets to them first, you should always try to group up with them so all of you get credited.

PS: I recommend camping the more crowded locations if you're fast to notice (and tag) a spawn. Otherwise you can semi-AFK at a remote location and try your luck with the others later, e.g. during early morning hours.

Just completed this achievement! What a Glorious day!

Good raid training with killing these rares, because many of their abilities are nearly fatal if you are caught in them. So by dodging them I feel more ready for raid than ever before! Don't step in flames, right?

For all those who are trying to get this achievement ... know roughly where each spawn is .. and sick of clearing cache .. try creating these macro's and spamming them as you go over the spawn location.

Some zones have similar patterns to the drops.
Jade Forest: Epic ilvl 420 BoP weapons.
Krasarang Wilds: Epic ilvl 440 BoE pants.
Townlong Steppes: Bags of useful mats and items.
Vale of Eternal Blossoms: Purely vanity items, except maybe Helpful Wikky's Whistle.
Valley of Four Winds, Kun-Lai Summit and Dread wastes don't follow a fixed pattern, they have a mix of interesting drops.

Just a note for people wondering, like I did, prior to reaching Glorious!: any rares killed along the way will be counted and credited automatically when you complete Could We Find More Like That? and move on to Glorious!

This is a relatively easy achievement, I almost have it completed, for the people who don't know about it and don't want to macro spam farm, download these two addons:

They essentially, whenever a rare comes in view, targets them and brings up a display of that rare and it's picture.

EXTREMELY handy for WotLK, Cata and Pandaria.

Tips for soloing each rare type as a warrior:

General: Take the Second Wind defensive talent. If you get under 35% health, you can hamstring most rare types and kite them around indefinitely until your HP is stable again. Shockwave is also a helpful talent, if you use it on cooldown the rares will be stunned and unable to attack 1/5th of your time fighting them. Use on cooldown if the rare is hitting you hard in melee.

Jinyu: Save your Pummel for Torrent. You can spell reflect it, but it won't return the damage back. As soon as the mob starts casting Rain Dance, run away then charge when they start channeling to interrupt it. You can also use Shockwave or Storm Bolt to interrupt if you didn't run away in time.

Pandaren: Run away when they start casting Spinning Crane Kick, then charge when it starts channeling to interrupt. Be ready to (formally) interrupt Healing Mists soon after.

Saurok: ALWAYS be very careful to have Thunder Clap ready and useable for when they use Vanish or you're sure to get 1-shotted. As soon as they go invisible run in the direction they were heading and thunder clap em to break the stealth.

Yaungol: One of the easier rares. Just move out of Hoof Stomp when they start casting.

Hozen: They'll throw Bananarang towards the direction you were at when they started casting, rotate around them to avoid it. You might want to move away once they throw it, the bananas' paths are a little unpredictable. Once they finish casting Going Bananas, just face the direction they jump to and hit charge to interrupt it.

Mogu Caster: Don't bother moving until the rare is almost finished casting Voidcloud, the void zone will always spawn directly under you. Be sure to use all your anti-spell abilities if Shadowbolt is hitting you hard.

Mantid: These guys are nasty. Stand as close to the mob as possible and be ready to walk behind them when they starts casting Blade Flurry, it only has a 1 second cast time and it'll tear you to pieces in moments. Don't bother trying to navigate around the Tornado they cast, move a good 20 yards away as soon as one spawns.

Mogu Warrior: Devastating Arc is fairly easy to avoid since it has a 2.5 second cast time and you're only a couple yards away from safety being in melee range. Summon Quilen is actually beneficial for you since they have low health and proc an easy Victory Rush when killed. If you're Arms, don't even bother targeting off the rare, just pop and cleave until the quilen dies.

Seems that all the rares on the same zone respawn at the same time.

I was camping Scritch for an hour or so, got bored and decided to go check the BMAH to see if new items were there. On my way there I checked other rares I was missing from the area, merely the yaungol and the jinyu. None were there. As I was leaving Inkgill Mere npcscan triggered for Norlaxx. I went back and killed it then I went back to check Scritch again.
On my way there I saw the Yaungol (Korda Torros) and the Mogu (Havak) corpses which they weren't there before. Scritch was there and I killed it. Then I checked the other rares and everyone was there.

Tried the rares outside Kunlai (Townlong and Dread Wastes) and I couldn't find anyone.

Just finished this achievement on my elemental shaman; hardest rares are definitely klaxxi and pandaren, although they're quite doable all the way up to 91, just frustratingly insta-gibby and haxy at times. Hozen, saurok and sometimes jinyu are also a little dicey at 91, but mogu warriors and sorcerers are always lols. Definitely a welcome challenge although I do think it a little unfair that some of the rares are unsoloable by certain classes/specs (e.g. my warlock main).

My observations: the 1 hour spawn time is fairly consistent but has some wiggle room, sometimes going up to 90ish minutes. I have noticed the "rares all respawn at the same time" effect but I have also very frequently gone door-to-door and found just bodies, suggesting that I am just behind another rare hunter. I'm on a very small server and I noticed quite a few other rare hunters, so multiply that effect by a larger server and the consistent (~1 hr) spawn time and that might explain these "waves".

Tips for shamans/everybody:
Pandaren - Save wind shock for the healing move, ghost wolf away from spinning crane kick. SCK is possible to knockback with thunderstorm (after the initial cast or it will just go again) but you have to immediately run in to avoid chi burst, which seems to avoid grounding totem (!).
Klaxxi - Strafe to the left or right to avoid blade flurry, do not run through. Back up a few paces to avoid the tornado.
Hozen - Rotate 90 degrees to avoid bananarang, run around willy-nilly to avoid 'going bananas', hope the RNG is on your side, heal furiously afterward if not.
Saurok - You're in danger from the vanish/backstab which does like 200k at 91, but magma totem seems to pull them out of vanish prematurely. Otherwise, run around willy-nilly and hope.
Jinyu - Wind shock torrent, grounding totem the water bolts. Thunderstorm knockback rain dance after the initial cast, ghost wolf and run around willy-nilly if on cooldown.
Mogu warrior - Run through him to avoid devastate, easy peasy. I hex the dog if the cooldown is up to save on a little damage to me, especially at higher levels.
Mogu sorcerer - Maximum lols, kick/ground his shadow bolts and run out of voidcloud; don't bother moving until it's cast or just about to be cast since it will go wherever your feet are at that second.

I finally managed to earn Glorious! after just under a month of looking.

In total there are 56 rare elite spawns in Pandaria. The sheer number may seem overwhelming but they are easy enough to find. The use of rare must be taken in the loosest sense of the word. The respawn timers seem to run anywhere from about 45 minutes to 3 hours. Hardly rare!

As for earning the achievement here are a few tips to help you along your way:

Install a tracking add-on such as NPCScan. This is far superior to a basic macro as it not only gives a clear proximity warning but also provides a button to target the rare and puts a raid target icon on it making it easier to spot. Essential. Another recommened add-on, which I do not use myself is SilverDragon.
Find out the spawn locations of the rares. An exellent add-on to use here is NPCOverlay. This adds coloured markers to both your map and mini-map of spawn locations.
Come up with a strategy. This would either be camping spawn locations or following a route around these. Personally I wouldn't recommend camping unless you are down to an elusive few. Why? Simply because of the sheer number of rares and quick respawn times - there is bound to be another rare up! When following routes you can choose either to do multiple circuits of a zone or move on to a new one, it doesn't matter.
Pick a quiet time to look for rares. It goes without saying that during peak times where people are questing, doing dailies and gathering it is going to be much harder to find a rare unless it spawns on top of you! I personally find the small hours of the morning to be best. At 4am I once came across over 10 rare spawns in a row.
Where necessary, don't be afraid to group up! The majority of the rares are solo-able by most classes. However there will be those where the mechanics of the fight works against you or there are multiple adds. As a Hunter I managed to solo all but a few who reguarly needed interupting to prevent healing. Another aspect to this is, if someone has already tagged an elite you can still get credit for the kill if you group up.

With a bit of dedicaiton and persistance alongside these tips, you should have this achievement in no time.

Typically when a rare spawns, all the other rares in that zone also spawn. if you're quick you can get multiples. I am two away from getting all 56, but all together I'd say I've killed the various rares 150+ times. The spawn times are quick...

If you are revered with the Klaxxi, and a melee, do yourself a huge favor when hunting rares in the Dread Wastes and have the Raining Blood buff on. It does huge burst damage to the mobs, which is always great since melee can get stacks extremely fast.

It also has the added bonus of CCing any adds that join the fight. Everytime the Unstable Serum reaches 8 stacks it not only does the burst damage but stuns all nearby enemies. I had one instance where I was avoiding a special attack and aggroed 5 mobs. However, being a rogue, the unstable serum exploded so many times the adds were basically permanently stunned for the whole fight.

If only other zones had buffs like that :(

Each of the seven questing zones has one rare elite of each type, making that 8 rare elites per zone, for a total of 56 across Pandaria.

Mob level corresponds (almost) without exception to the questing zones as follows:

Level 85: The Jade Forest
Level 86: Valley of the Four Winds
Level 87: Krasarang Wilds
Level 88: Kun-Lai Summit
Level 89: Townlong Steppes
Level 90: Dread Wastes
Level 91: Vale of Eternal Blossoms

The only exception is the Lon the Bull, who is level 88 and found in Townlong Steppes.

As a destruction warlock who completed this achievement, I will pass this advice on.

Prepare macros for targeting! These help out so much, especially if you don't know which rare is at what spawn yet.
Bring friends (or a Voidlord). Most of these rares have nasty abilities that can mill your health like crazy. A friend to heal through (or die to) these abilities helps out a ton while fighting rare spawns. (Message to warlocks: my Voidlord has proven to be a powerful ally while stumbling upon rare spawns. You will grind through rares easily with him on your side.)
Study up on your enemy. Know what abilities need to be dodged, canceled, or healed through.
Clear the area! One extra enemy, no matter how weak, will make it more likely for you to die.
Be aware of your surroundings. I've died to a Hozen rare spawn that jumped on me three times in a row because I was up against a cave wall. Know how their abilities and their surroundings can be your undoing!

For warlocks who are hesitant to engage rare spawns, summon up a Voidguard or Voidlord and have him tank. I've only needed another player to help me with three of the rare spawns, and they were the Pandaren rares in the Steppes, the Wastes, and the Vale, and it's because I couldn't deal enough damage to counter their heal. Every other one was soloable.

There should be another rank to this chain of achievements called "What a monstrous creature!" where you have to kill the Sha of Frustration.
Because after all the hours of camping, and after all the times that a level 90 hunter was killing that rare you needed, you would think that a Sha of Frustration would have manifested by now.

If you are having phasing issues with some of the rare spawns (despawning before you can get close enough), try having a friend help you and just stay close enough in range where you get the loot window. You will also get credit for the achievement.

Having completed the achievement, I found it wasn't as daunting as it seemed particularly when you work out the spawn patterns.

The below are generally the trickiest to catch being the most likely to be taken quickly by other players.

Moldo one eye - Patrols a route adjacent to a daily questing area
Urgolax - Has multiple spawns right in the middle of the busiest questing area in the game. On an active realm he'll remain untagged for mere seconds since there's players day and night running around tagging all mobs in sight.
Scritch - Drops a very desirable item that sells for a high price, is from my experience the most frequently camped spawn.

Krol and Karr are problematic only on days the klaxxi dailies are in that zone.

I got this achievement a few days ago, and then I felt... kinda... empty...

I mean, it's not really hard. As a warlock, I throw my void-walker, he tanks and takes all the AoE and dots on him, and I dps... pretty easy. The only difficulty is to not have a player of the other faction backstabbing me.
Have to admit that with other class, it's much harder. For instance, when you're in melee, you need to avoid the crane kicks and all that kind of stuff... while with the warlock, the void-walker with take the crane-kick with not a single problem. At one point, I almost felt like my class was bugged or something.

If these rares had each differents skills (and not skills per races), it would be better, I think. And they should have big patrols across the zones or lots of possible spawn-points.
I miss the rares of the previous expansions who could be anything, like basilics, zombies, gorillas, etc. Now, it's just a few races of Pandaria.

Still, I think, the guy who managed to kills all rares in either Northrend, Cataclysm zones or Pandaria... that guy SHOULD have a title, like "the head-hunter".
And the guy who kills them all in Northrend, Cataclysm zones and Pandaria would have "the glorious head-hunter" title.

I made a macro for each zone. I may have missed a rare name or two. Use at your risk! I found that my targeting worked MUCH more effectively than NPCSCAN did. More faster.

To complete this achievement in a more reasonable time:
1. Find a level 85+ real ID friend of your faction on a low pop server.
2. Get him to invite you so you're in their zones.
3. Profit

I managed to kill every rare spawn in a day on US, Scilla. The 4th days after I dinged 90.

I just got this, and I did it in under 2 days. I started with 8 different rares downed from previous run ins.
I know this isn't the most *statistically* helpful way, but it's how I did it.

1. pick 1 rare with some loot you want. Go in being ready for it to possibly not have spawned, and be ready to accept it might not drop the loot you want. Enchanting is excellent, because you'll get a LOT of blues to DE along the way. I ended my 2 day spree with over 100 ethereal shards, and roughly 125-150 kills total.

2. Use Wowhead. A lot. Lore's highly rated post is great. Pick out all the rares from your zone you chose to start in and open separate tabs for them. Use the map markings. Form a path from one to the next, leading into the next zone. Work on remembering a very set pattern.

3. Do the same thing for every zone.

4. After you get the pattern for the continent down (it should only take a few hours - maybe 3-4 loops around Pandaria), you'll notice the number of rares whittling down. Don't diverge from this path until you get to about the halfway point.

5. Once I hit halfway through the 56 rares, I noticed it began becoming increasingly redundant to follow the same path, as I began getting a great deal of duplicate kills. About halfway through, I began to cut some of the already finished ones off my path; this shortens your "Pandarian loop," and because you're spending less time traveling around the continent, you have faster windows/more windows of opportunity to get to the rares you haven't finished.

6. Don't camp a kill. I know some might argue against me on this, but even with fast spawn times (I narrowed them down to a 45 minute to 2 hour 30 min window), you're wasting a great deal of time. I only camped Sahn in Vale. It was 2 hours of sitting, and I could have made approx 6 full loops in this time. I didn't start actually "camping" until I had about 3-5 remaining, and even then, monitor the other rares in the zone - if they are freshly dead, go check your targeted rare - if they aren't there at all, go spend 10 minutes camping, then go to the next one.

7. DON'T GIVE UP. Don't get frustrated.

8. Always duplicate kill the spawns - if you killed it already, do it again.

9. Don't be afraid to spam /1 for assistance! If you need help with a rare, be sure to ask!

Initially, I believed the rares in a zone all spawned simultaneously, however, after further thought, they seem to (in large part) do this, BUT, they also seem grouped into a batch of 3, maybe 4, groups that spawn together. I will try to determine the groups someday.

Lastly, I'd advise starting it early in the AM. I started my first day at 2a.m. and ground it out until 5 p.m. with obvious breaks. The longer you work on the paths from one rare to the next, the faster you will get the achieve.

A couple of things that I have observed when hunting these rares.

1. They do not all spawn at the same time. It seems that they are organized into groups on the server. When it's time for that group to spawn, everyone in that group spawns at the same time. This seems to be across all the zones in Pandaria. I have killed rares that just spawned, and the a few dozen yards away where there is another one that spawns, it's not there, no corpse, nothing.

2. If nobody kills them when it's time for the next group to spawn, the rares that are still up will despawn and the next group will spawn.

This is speculation, but it seems that the following are in a group:

Moldo One-eye
Major Nanners
Ai-Run
Cournith Waterstrider

These also seem to be in the same group:

Bonobos
Sele'na
Gaarn the Toxic

I spent a good amount of time trying to bag Scritch, presumably because he drops the Hozen Peace Pipe

If you're hunting for the achievement I'd recommend modifying your flight route to do several flybys of high-traffic rares such as Sulik'shor and particularly those in Dread Wastes, which has a high-concentration of desirable items. Otherwise you might be staring at a lot of corpses of the mobs you need.

I've actually seen two rares of a region spawn at the exact same time (Bonobos and Sulik'shor) thanks to a friend in this screenshot. Right after killing Sulik'shor, we found and killed Sele'na and Nasra Spothide. Unfortunately, we didn't bother to check the other rares because Sulik'shor and Nasra were the last ones I needed for my achievement... So we didn't really think this through.

But I've often stumbled across all rares of a same region in a row.

There seems to only be a certain amount of rares up at a time. I farmed all the elites for the achievement and aided a friend in farming a few of them specifically for an item. I noticed that the elites did spawn usually right around an hour each time with a few exceptions. Every now and them the elite would not spawn for 2-3 hrs. I would go to the different zones or different areas and many of the elites would be up. It is possible that the spawns are somewhat linked. I also noticed in some zones when the monkey rare was glitched out the others took longer to respawn (not sure if they are related.) The longest I've had to wait was exactly 3 hrs and that was for 2 different rares in VoEB.

About all mobs respawning at one zone at the same time, after reading it here for the first time, it didn't really work with me, or I'm missing something. Here what's happened.

I decided today I was going to farm for both rares that dropped pets (Nalash Verdantis and Karr the Darkener). I checked both and none were there. I decided to camp by Nalash, and after a while, he appeared. I killed him, and the pet didn't drop. Immediately after that, I flew to the location of Karr, just to find a druid killing him (he died a few seconds after I arrived).
I logged out and came back on after an hour. I was by Karr already and decided, then, to camp him. After a couple minutes, he spawned, and I killed him. Immediately after that, I flew to Nalash's location, and he wasn't there. Not even his corpse (I tried a /tar nalash).
I know for a thing that I didn't check on him before, but if all rares spawn at the same time, I should be able to at least find Nalash's corpse, right? Also, wouldn't they ever respawn until after all of the zone's rares are killed?

I just completed this achievement in just over 7 days. Well worth it :)
As others has posted above, look for the rares during the early morning. I eventually had to camp a few when it came down to 3-4 rares to go. I got pretty lucky with a few where I killed 4 straight over an hour :)

I decided that today I would do this achievement on my mage, to see how long it took me. I started off with 5 rares killed and went in a big loop of pandaland killing any I found. I started at 11:30am and at 9:50pm (yes, I've had nothing to do all day :p) I got my last. I think I've been quite lucky?

As an interesting point I came across one I needed, Karr the Darkener, just as someone else was killing him. I marked the kill time down as reference and as I was flying around (back and forth between him and krol, the last 2 I needed), he respawned literally an hour after he was killed. I assume an hour is the respawn time on all of the rares.

Force spawning works for this. Kill the immediate surrounding NPCs, critters included, as they share the same spawn point.

It worked for me for the last ten or so that I needed. Started killing the NPCs around that spot, and BAM- rares spawned in no time at all. Two to three minutes tops.

An easy way to get all these rares without even having to camp them specifically if you still have quite a few to kill is getting npcscan. Schuppy39's comment, dividing the rares by zone is the most key post here for completing this cheevo because it would appear that they are linked via spawn, at least in some zones... I was hitting Jade Forest for almost the whole set as a 90 with several of the first ones not up when I first looked. Once I killed the others (in rapid succession) I found ones I was missing were now spawned.

Coincidence? I think not.

Moral of the story is that if you need a particular rare (and it's not being camped) go kill the other rares in the zone.

EDIT: I have finished this achievement now and I think the *general* logic is that anytime you kill a rare in a zone, another rare will spawn if it has been down for X amount of time (I'm thinking 20-30 min) *and* (this part is more conjecture) it has been down the longest. Time and again, If I needed a particular rare, I went can killed 1- the zone and checked in between kills and invariably the one I needed would be up by the 3rd kill.

The reason there is no reward or title for this is likely due to the varying difficulty of the achievement from realm to realm. On low-population realms, this achievement can literally be completed in the span of a few hours. On high population realms, a few of the spawns (Bonobos due to his proximity to the Alliance PvP vendor; Krol due to his experience-enhancing drop; and Nessos because of the the turtle shell/his location on the way to Oondasta) are camped or killed instantly virtually 24/7.

feels like 5.4 increased all rare droprates from 10% to 20-50% i am usualy extreemly unlucky and 10% means like 25kills but im getting 1 every other kill nearly, i didnt read a increase to % on any patch or hotfix notes but idk somethings fish here, dont get me wrong i love it especially since most are unseable in 6.0 and its jsut to prep myself for toy sepllbook but still like 20kills and i got 10 items just in the last 2 farm sessions which i started up in 5.4.2 (havent farmed these in a long time)

This Achievement is a reference to "Regular Show" where Pops comments on Rigby re-entering his body in Season 1 Episode 11 "Rigby's Body", which premiered November 15th 2010. The expansion "Mists of Pandaria" was released 25 September 2012, a little under 2 years after the premier of the episode.

After spending some hours for the achievement flying from zone to zone I came to the conclusion that in each zone 3 rares are up each time, so when you kill one another will spawn in its location. I have tested this several times and it seems that this is the case.

If you use Paste and TomTom, I took the earlier script in the comments and fixed it for current patch: http://pastebin.com/5iCN6thR

Copy and paste it into Paste window and it will set a waypoint at the known spawn locations of any of the 56 Glorious spawns that you haven't tagged yet. Then you can just manually remove them as you do each one or reset all your way points and run it again.

7.2.5: The following macro places waypoints on each rare's location.I made a few changes to the other macros here,which were not working as intended for me ,by putting '':Pandaria" after Vale of Eternal Blossoms,the jade forest and Krasarang wilds because waypoints were not placed in those zones due to an error.

Has the achievement been removed or renamed? I got one of the rares today, Jonn-Dar. I came to wowhead to look up information about him and found this achievement. But when I search for it in my achievements, the only "Glorious" listed is A Glorious Campaign.

Doing this in Shadowlands, the best method I found is to use a level 40-49. Activate Chromie time for any expansion (unconfirmed but one that's not Pandaria might be the best for even less competition, though I did it in Pandaria timeline just because, albeit on a low-med population sever), then just fly around.
40-49 is what I think is the sweet spot to have fast flying yet still be able to activate Chromie time.
