These NPC's can drop Corrupted Mementos too, so it's worth killing them whenever you see them. They also don't seem to have a daily lockout... I killed the same one twice (respawning within the 20mins or so it took me to write this up) and got another 10 memento's off of it.
EDIT: Seems there is some diminishing returns on this however, so while you'll get 10 memento's per kill to begin with, you'll get 5 and then 1 if you kill lots of them. (Thanks Buenaventura). Is still worth killing them if you come across them though imho. :)

Also note, they generate a debuff that stacks (every stack forces 1 corruption on you for half hour)... seems to be roughly every 5secs? urgh...

I have spent over 20 hours trying to find the last two for the Combating the Corruption with no luck.
~~I’m certain that Corrupted Tormentor and Corrupted Bloodseeker are bugged or never were implemented to live servers.~~

I have sent a few bug reports so let’s hope they can fix this soon.

Edit: Seems like people have found the last two (Great job finding them!), both of them can be at any place at the shoreline south of Uldum during black empire assault.

Just finished this. It took many hours of killing place-holders to spawn the corrupted versions. Don't expect to knock this out quickly. A few notes:

The Courrpted Summoner is spawned from Black Empire Conjurers, not Black Empire Summoners. This is clearly an oversight or bug as all other mobs use the same name.

The Corrupted Neferset Guard is spawned from Voidwarped Neferset, not Voidwarped High Guards.

The Corrupted Tormentor is spawned from Tentacle Tormentors, not Faceless Tormentors.

The Corrupted Bloodseeker does not appear to work like the other mobs in this achievement. I cannot say for certain, but it appears to me that it may be a rare spawn that always spawns corrupted. You do not kill place-holders to spawn it.

I have confirmation via screen shot on demand and visual confirmation that the Corrupted Summoner is spawned by killing the Black Empire Conjurers. I personally killed a Corrupted Summoner after farming the Conjurers for quite a while at 53, 49 which exactly correlates to one of the positions of the Black Empire Conjurer. Trying to get the Corrupted Watcher is absolutely brutal. I know of 7 spawn points for Voidwarped Watchers in Neferset and Lost City. You can cover them with 2-3 people. If geared, even one person can cover them reasonably well enough to kill them as they spawn.

But after killing them for several hours, be prepared to have nothing to show for it except 100+ gray items in your bags. We killed well over 120 over several hours in one session, I killed another ~40 in another session. No Corrupted Watcher.

I don't wanna hurt any feelings, but this achievement defines perfectly what this game has become. It is insane and a non-sense being all the time doing the same: kill "N" times the mob "X" in order to get the final mob "Y". And of course everything based on RNG. It is not real progress, it's just repetition all the time. I don't want to mention the number of times I required to get a Corrupted Watcher. Madness..., just that.

And what's even better is that the achievement provides nothing, no mount or title or toy...

So, what's the point of playing this kind of content? Waste of time

You know, I don't ever leave comments myself, but I've been farming the final two here for like 3 weeks, and it doesn't matter how many Voidwarped Watchers or Voidwarped Neferset I kill: they just don't want to go corrupt. Now, I understand that RNG plays a big role in some things, but there's a point where RNG is just...it takes the fun out of achieving. Yes, I don't have to make the choice to do the achievement, but I would like to. I don't really want to spend countless hours killing the same mobs over and over, because there's no pattern or formula to this. It's rote kill, check and see; repeat. Anyway, there's a bit TOO much RNG-based everything in this expansion, so hopefully we'll get some achievements that are a bit more meaningful in the next xpac.

One thing to add here; if the other faction tags a corrupted mob, other faction can't kill it, unlike some Elites with WM off. Used the NPCscan ID's from previous posts and added them into the "Custom" tab; really helped having a visual cue, instead of scanning for corrupted mobs.

Tip for ElvUI users:

In ElvUI settings -> nameplates -> Style Filter, create a new style filter and add the names of all the mobs that produce corrupted mobs. Then in the Actions tab, you can mess around with the health color or whatever to make all these mobs have easily identifiable nameplates! Then just remove the corresponding names from the filter as you kill their corrupted counterparts.

Corrupted Watcher: 30min farm
Corrupted Jailer: 90min farm
Corrupted Neferset Guard (last one I miss): committed genocide to Voidwarped Neferset for 8+ hours, no spawn, but killed another Corrupted Watcher that randomly spawned.

PS: Tormentor and Bloodseeker I found along the Coast during the "middle" Uldum invasion and all others I found randomly while questing.
PPS: Found the Corrupted Neferset Guard 1 hour after posting this. Don't give up!

I was able to spawn a Corrupted Bloodseeker while trying to spawn a Corrupted Tormentor from killing the Tentacle Tormentor's off the southern coast in Uldum. It appears as a corrupted shark. Luckily I was able to spawn them both back to back to finish out this achievement!

My tips and experience:

Use the weakaura linked by Mudererr, it's a lifesaver.
Corrupted Neferset Guard took 8 hours of killing to spawn (in Neferset spawned by Voidwarped Neferset).
Corrupted Despoiler took 3 hours of killing to spawn (Lost City of Tol'vir).
Corrupted Watcher took 2 hours of killing to spawn in Neferset (farmed with the Neferset Guards).
Corrupted Bonestripper spawned after 1 hour of farming. The best location to farm this is the start of the lake at the top near Khartut's Tomb, no people here.
Corrupted Bloodseeker and Corrupted Tormentor are very quick spawns along the south-west coastline.

The rest took less than 20 minutes to spawn or killed during questing.

I had spent 5+ hours killing Corrupted Watchers on multiple occasions without ever seeing one. Usually, I killed them at quiet times during the middle of the night.

After seeing comments where some people got it to spawn in 30 minutes and others have had no luck for 28 hours, I figured there might be a precondition other than just killing Voidwarped Watcher that must be met. Instead of killing all 7 Watchers over and over again, I decided to first:

1. Clear the zone of any other Corrupted mobs that I could find.

2. Kill the 5 Voidwarped Watchers in Neferset. At item level 480, this takes me about 2 minutes.

3. Since the Watchers take 7 minutes to respawn, I would spend that time going around hunting any other Corrupted mobs.

I repeated this a few times and noticed that the same Corrupted Putrefaction keeps spawning in the exact same spot every 2-3 minutes. When I was finally successful, I was trying to time this Corrupted Putrefaction to be dead during the ~2 minute window when my Watchers would be respawning.

One of my 5 Watchers finally respawned as Corrupted when I did that. Once I killed it and got the achievement, the same Corrupted Putrefaction was also respawned.

I'm not sure if it was strategy or dumb luck, but it could be the system has a threshold of how many Corrupted mobs there ought to be at any time. It could be Watchers won't respawn Corrupted if there are too many other live Corrupted mobs.

Imagine camping/killing the same mob for hours, over and over, for days, not realizing you have ZERO chance of spawning a Corrupted version because there's a Corrupted Acolyte somewhere on the other side of the zone, and there's a cap on how many Corrupted rares can spawn.

From other posts, it seems that (a) there is a cap on the number of Corrupted that can be up at a time (b) there are some bugged Corrupted Putrefactions in the Uldum Central zone that respawn into Corrupted every time, thus preventing other Corrupted from spawning. This will impact in particular Watchers, Jailers and possibly Tormentors & Bloodseekers (both in the sea).

I created this macro to target any corrupted in a zone and set a skull icon on them.

If not found, it targets the mob that needs to be killed (e.g. Bloodseeker) and puts an X raid marker on them. You will need to edit it for the one you are currently seeking.

Corrupted Tormentor - these squids are in the sea south of Uldum along the coastline. You will find a corrupted at the edge of Uldum-Tanaris but it is too far to aggro as you arrive from the sea. Fly along the hills and land on the hills next to the sea in reach of the target which you will find north east of the cursed landing. Use a target macro to find it : /tar Corrupted Tormentor

This achievement has to be bugged for some of the Uldum mobs. Corrupted Putrefactions in the north constantly just respawn in the same spot when killed. Even when changing to another shard such as US servers (I'm an OCE player) or to WM on, the same putrefactions always respawn in the same spot. Because there's a cap to how many corrupted mobs can spawn in the zone it makes it highly unlikely that the mob you want will spawn corrupted, specifically the big elite mobs such as Jailers and Watchers.

What a terrible, terrible achievement. Way too much RNG on top of buggy spawns. Probably won't be fixed. GJ blizz!

So, before I attempted this achievement, I read about it here and was dreading it because it sounded extremely time consuming and annoying. In all honesty, it wasn't that bad (for me.)

Using this WeakAura is ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL! https://pastebin.com/11bqTctE I did not create this, I am simply re-posting it. I already had a few of them done when I started this. I really just picked one or two off the list that were in the same approximate area and focused on those. The worst for me was the Corrupted Neferset Guard. I must've obliterated that entire race before finding one. I did not use any tricks or strategies to find the corrupted versions. I simply killed, and killed, and killed and kept on killing them until they eventually spawned.

Altogether, this achievement probably took me roughly 12 hours to complete over a couple of days.

I created an account just to share my xp on this. And i am taking the time because I doubt Blizzard will take time to fix anytime soon this achievement, that is rigged because of a bug that's been mentionned months ago in many posts of this page.

Also, because it is old content. This means you wont be able to randomly accomplish the achievement like people could do it on live patch (since zone was cleared and farmed to accomplish quests making the corrupted versions spawn less "controlable"), because you have to understand some requirements or you will get stuck.

1 - Corrupted versions can only spawn when you kill regular mobs, because they take the spot of a normal version of this same mob.
2 - There can only be a limited versions of corrupted mobs. Farming for hours in the zone without any people being present too (at night, wm off french server), I would be confident to say it is limited to 3 at the same time, even less.

Now there is a third aspect to take into consideration here : if the bug is present (i dont know what triggers it though), there are 2 spawns of corrupted Putrefaction that can be respawning in a 1-2 mn timeframe on the same very spot you killed it. For me it was, south west of lost city and west of field area where observers (eyes) spawn.
This means that if you don't get rid of this bug, you will have a very, very hard time to clean this achievement efficiently since they will be taking 2 out of 3 spots for corrupted spawns, thus reducing your chances by as much.

To prove my point, let me share you my own xp on this. I did the achievement in 2 big sessions of farm :

1) First one was in October just before Shadowlands, with still a bit of people farming the zone (but not too much, so I was able to guess some patterns). When farming this, things went pretty smoothly aside from Watchers, that took 2 hours of farming between all the corrupted mobs. For the rest, it took me around 3 hours to get all corrupted versions off the list (except jailers). What was happening was people were farming the zone and thus, probably killing bugged corrupted versions / unvoluntarily removing the bug by accomplishing the weekly quest. What i noticed during this time was there seemed to be a kind of flow with the spawn of corrupted versions : it seemed more likely that a new corrupted type would spawn rather than a corrupted version i just killed, even if mobs of that type had died. In this farm session, I killed had all corrupted versions spawn, except Jailers. And since SL went live, i just dropped the ach here.

2) Tonight, I decided to get over with this achievement. I had tried not too seriously to kill a few jailers here and there a few weeks ago, without insisting and thus nothing spawned.
Tonight, without reading the comments here, i noticed the same bug that has been described here (which i didnt encounter during the first session) : 2 corrupted putrefactions permanently respawning just 1 minute after i killed them. I tried like another poster here to clear the putrefactions just before the jailers would respawn (5mns) to have a corrupted jailer triggered. I farmed like this over and over, yet nothing worked for 2 hours.
And then I thought : "how can i beat this bug ? I never encountered this last time, so maybe there is a usual mechanic people would naturally do during live patch that i'm not doing. Since i'm only here for the achievement, I am actually just killing the corrupted version, and nothing else". And there it was : i was spam killing the corrupted putrefactions without clicking the tumor just next to it. To test if my theory proved right, I did just one try at once and killed one corrupted putrefaction and clicked the tumor next to it.
Waited for 10 minutes, and the corrupted putrefaction did not spawn anymore. At its place, just a regular version spawned.
To test this further and eliminate randomness, I went to the second spot and did the same : killed corrupted version, clicked the tumor next to it. No spawn in a ten minute frame either.
I did another full tour of the zone to check that no other corrupted putrefaction bugs had spawned in the zone. And it wasn't the case. No other corrupted mobs were present either.
I went back to my corrupted jailer farm. After the second tour (killed 8 jailers), there was my corrupted jailer, granting me the achiev. Went around the zone at old corrupted putrefaction spots, and they weren't up even 1 hour after I killed the always respawning spots.

I wrote this long text to be clear and show how my hypothesis proved right and worked, for me.
Based on that I would highly recommand that you try to get rid of any corrupted putrefactions bug before you try this ach. Also, feel free to comment and confirm or refute my theory.
But so far, since the post adressed the problem but did not provide a solution, I took the initiative to share what worked for me.

Hi guys, took me roughly 10 hours to get this done, the 10 hour part coes of the watcher being such a pain to spawn. Did it in group of 2, one of us with WM on and one with WM off so we would kill twice as many watchers, good luck! (make sure to sweep the area of any other corrupted mobs and fish for the ones you are missing)

As of 9.2.7 the Putrefaction bug is still happening. I found 3 bugged ones right next to each other in the NW part of the zone. However, I also found 3 other corrupted mobs in the zone in one lap. ~~Either the bugged putrefactions don't affect the zone cap, or the zone cap is 6+.~~

Edit: Alright new theory. I think the putrefactions DO prevent other corrupted mobs from spawning, and the cap is 3-4 in the zone at once - but the putrefactions ignore the zone cap when they themselves spawn. When I originally posted I had been killing those putrefactions to force other spawns, and I think it allowed the other 3 corrupted mobs to spawn - BUT the bugged putrefactions continued to spawn, which is why I saw 6 total corrupted mobs up at once. I have since done circles for another couple of hours without killing the putrefactions and have seen 0 or 1 other corrupted mobs up at any time.

Regardless of how to work around this bug, it is very frustrating that Blizz allows bugs like this to exist in the game for years, after tying an achievement to it.

Just to add a data point, today I flew around most of Uldum and tracked at least 8 and probably 10 corrupted mobs up at the same time (one of them was gone by the time I returned to its spot, so it might have been killed, which could have led to an extra spawn at some point in my surveying). They were of various types... couple Putrefactions, Dominator, few Fleshbeasts, couple Doomsayers, Observer, Despoiler.

So the theory about there being a ~3 corrupted mob zone-wide cap at any given time seems to no longer be the case.

Some thoughts on doing this in 10.2+:
Most of the mobs on the list work exactly as described in the top post ("Regular" mob > "Corrupted" mob). The ones that don't include:
- The Corrupted Bloodseeker - this is a shark off the coast of Uldum, does NOT share spawn time with other mobs, just seems to periodically respawn. It does NOT spawn from the tidal corruptors or the drowned zealots as the OP guessed.
- The Mind Eater & Despoiler share (most) spawn points in Uldum, you'll need to kill both to get a pop. FWIW, I saw many corrupted mind eaters and only 1 despoiler. I also only saw the 1 despoiler in the areas where they share pops. There are 3 reliable despoiler pops on the big bridge to the south of the ally town, but they never spawned a corrupted version that I saw.
- The Corrupted Summoner (in Uldum) is spawned by killing the Black Empire *Conjurer*, not the Black Empire Summoner. There are a lot of comments on this, and they are correct. This *may not* be true in the Vale assault. I confirmed this personally in Uldum by killing Conjurers to spawn both Corrupted summoners & thaumaturges. I got 4 summoners, 0 thaumaturges.
- The Corrupted Thaumaturge (in Uldum) DOES spawn by killing the Black Empire Thaumaturges (Neferset City only). I'm calling this out specifically because there are comments indicating that it spawns in the Vale by killing the Conjurers. In Uldum, I can confirm that it was 100% a thaumaturge kill that spawned the corrupted version, NOT a conjurer. There are 6 of them in the city, and I switched to farming the thaumaturge after I got 4 Corrupted summoners by farming only the conjurers (including the ones in Neferset City). If you look at the video for the thaumaturge you'll see it shows one of the mobile mobs as a spawn - it is NOT a conjurer spawn (all 3 in the city are stationary). YMMV in the Vale assault.

Other relevant thoughts:
- If you are just starting this, you are better off waiting for an Uldum assault; many mobs only spawn there. I only got like 4-5 in the Vale, the rest in Uldum the following week.
- There's lots of comments about there being some kind of apparent cap on corrupted mobs. This definitely tracks with my experience, though it may be higher than originally speculated (see the other DF comment that says they saw 8-10 mobs). Some can be a pain to find (especially tormenters), so there may only be a few that are easily findable. I spent a lot of time farming and farming until I started incorporating sweeps for other corrupted mobs. Once I found 1 (and especially 2-3) I directly went to farm the mobs I was trying for at the time. This is how I got a corrupted watcher in a few hours (check the comments for the hell that people went through on that one), the thaumaturge, the summoner, and the despoiler.
- One other thought on clearing corrupted mobs you don't need - try to be aware if anyone is in the zone competing. While this is 2 expansions back (nearly 3) I almost always saw Someone in the zone doing stuff (either Corrupted mobs, daily quests for rep, or whatever) and what that means is that while they might trigger more pops, it also means that they might get the corrupted pops you are trying for. Doing sweeps for easy corrupted mobs (fleshbeasts & putrifications) without doing anything else can give you a sense if there is competition at the moment. If there is, you may wish to incorporate other goals (rare mob achieve, tumors, maws, rep) because you don't have total control. If you Don't see any evidence of other people, this is the time to find as many corrupted mobs as you can and then farm your target mobs as fast as you can - it will (hopefully) force the pops you need. I got all of my last mobs this way (watcher, summoner, thaumaturge, tormenter)
- The best way to farm the fishes (bloodseeker or tormenter) is by using Feast of the Fishes + Crispy Bacon, which turns you into a fish for 5 minutes (+60 minutes/bacon). You can then swim up and down the uldum coast. However, i would NOT try this unless you do the corrupted mob sweep in an empty zone, because you can't leave the water (you're a fish) unless you kill the food. So the best way to do it is to kill a corrupted mob (or 2) close to the coast, then turn immediately into a fish and start farming tormenters. If you don't know that corrupted spawns have been triggered, you could be in there a long time (you'll be relying on other people to kill them and cause spawns)
- If you are having trouble finding corrupted mobs in order to force spawns, try going up & down the main river (south of the city, to the lost city area). Whenever I couldn't find a corrupted mob I almost always found a bonestripper in the main part of the river that helped me get things going again. I do wonder if maybe the corrupted mob counter is non-equal for all the different types of mobs - I.e. stuff like fleshbeasts and doomsayers count for 1 "slot", while rarer mobs like watchers and bonestrippers take more, which would account for how much harder it can be for them to pop. Just a thought.

I want to thank all the previous posters for all the pain and suffering they went through to gather the information over the past years. Thanks to them, I got this done with moderate effort over about a week, which seems to be leaps & bounds faster than when it first went live. Hopefully future achievement hunters will take even less time with this summary.

This has to be the most annoying achievement ever to be created in the history in WoW. The "CORRUPTED NEFERSET GUARD" will just not spawn. I am switching between wm on and off and killing all the respective mobs for multiple days during the week. It just won't spawn. What fun is this? This is just horrible game disign. I hope whoever thought of this got fired from Microsoft...

Edit: The golden rule was once more proven - come on wowhead to complain and results will come shortly after. After going to sleep last night, i woke up this morning determined to do nothing in WoW unless I get this done as the NEFERSET GUARD was the last thing I needed. After 15-20min of genocide, there it was! Such a relief, I am free to move on. Terrible achievement design....

Cleared the zone of corrupted mobs while i kept killing the 5 watchers in neferset.

occasional loop around the zone to see if any new corrupted mobs spawned. There were 4-5 total when I entered the zone so I cleared these before I went to farm.

Forced the corrupted watcher respawn after an hour or so.

EDIT: blizzard has changed this achieve to only need 10 corrupted types in 11.0.7 which is much easier!

For anyone farming this in anticipation of the new meta: I have found that using the method to generate new shards for mount farming works decently well if you dont want to kill mobs over and over again. It may take longer but its less active playing.

I have toons spread across low pop realms and using warmode it is easy to generate your own shard, which has a chance to spawn the corrupted mobs. You can tell if its a new shard via the using the addon https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/npctime look at the up time on an NPC. I used this method to get about 4 I was missing in Vale. Shards will despawn around 15 mins of no players being in the shard. Will be trying this in uldum too.

You will have to unlock the assaults on whatever alts you use this method on though, which isnt quick.

This worked for me.

Add all the corrupted you need to RareScanner.
With a Druid (faster) I started to kill all the regular mobs I want to spawn as corrupted.
And with a macro "/tar Corrupted" kill any corrupted mob that spawn that you don't want.

Clearing unwanted corrupted seems to make the one you are farming spawn faster.

A few things things you need to know about this achieve:

You only need 10 of the corrupted NPC's. Not all of them. That's because this achieve is being nerfed in 11.07: https://www.wowhead.com/news/massive-battle-for-azeroth-achievement-nerfs-in-patch-11-0-7-351343
These corrupted NPC's have a chance to spawn straight away without any need to kill the non-corrupted versions. It's entirely RNG on the shard that you character loads into. Which means you can cheese this achieve by hopping shards.
You cannot use free accounts to create trial characters (that feature is disabled without a sub). So you will need to pay an additional sub fee to manually shard hop yourself.
Low level characters do not have automatic access to N'zoth assaults. I suspect you need to be a minimum of level 60-80 to load into the N'zoth assault version of Uldum. If you try to use a level 10 character for example, you'll just load into the Cata version of Uldum that has no BfA mobs in it and no N'zoth purple environment.
There is no point to adding any of the ID's of the corrupted NPC's to Silverdragon, Rarescanner or whatever rare finding addon you use. That's not how any of those addons work anymore (for custom npc's) due to blizz nerfing the way rare detection works years ago. These addons will only ping custom NPC's IF you mouse directly over them, thus making them useless for this purpose.
These corrupted NPC's will only spawn when the curruption zone is in the middle of Uldum or the Vale. They will not spawn when the corruption zone is in the other 2 areas (east or west) of either zone. Each zone has 3 possible N'zoth assault variants (east, middle and west).
I strongly recommend you do not use skyriding for this. You will blow right past areas of the map long before the mobs even have a chance to load into the game world.

Thus, the best way to detect these NPC's now is to fly around and spam a /tar macro like the following (you will need to use 2 macros due to the number of possible NPC's). I use these multiple macros instead of just "/tar corrupted" so that I don't kill duplicates. Just edit the macro to delete whichever mob you have previously killed. Of course, if you don't care about that, then you can go ahead and just use that macro instead of the 2 below:

Doing this whilst shard hopping (whether via alt accounts, other players or simply doing it on different days or different times of the day (the zones reset roughly every couple hours) is the best way to get this achieve.

If you want to use the old method of farming mobs until you force a spawn, that's fine. You might find adding the custom NPC ID's to Silverdragon worth it if you're going to use that method. But I try to not spend hours and hours doing one achieve if I can avoid it. Also, doing it that way makes you vulnerable to other players stealing your kills since these mobs have multiple spawn points in entirely different areas of the map.

Shard hop and trust in the RNG gods is the way to go.

I already had 3 kills before I started farming this. took me around 2 hours to get the 7 that I needed, I would take note of the mobs I needed and would jump down and kill their non corrupted versions and move on, I think doing this got me well over half of my progress. definitely use the macros that have been posted, and make sure to remove any that you already have so that every time you ping something you know that you're targeting one that you need to kill. if you have a second screen then put something easy to watch on youtube or something to help pass the time.

Has anyone had any luck with this lately? I've been at it for 4 hours today and haven't found a single corrupted mob. I've tried flying all over, focusing on certain areas, sitting in one area killing the mob type over and over, flying around killing everything I can find, wm off, wm on, I've got the WA and the addons. Nothing.

EDIT: Ended up having some luck after this, thought I'd share what worked for me. I tried so many things over the course of about 4-5 hours with zero luck. I then chose a semi-large area that had a lot of mobs I needed to focus on - for me this was the Neferset area in Uldum. I started at the entrance and just cleared the whole area over and over. After 1 hour I got one corrupted spawn in place of a normal mob. After that some other people showed up, and we cleared the area in a party of 3. Because things were dying quicker they were also respawning quicker. We had 4 corrupteds spawn in the hour after that. So to me it definitely seems like the best way is just to kill things over and over and over until one of them comes up corrupted, the more people in the group the better. I also found that the addons didn't do anything at all, the most helpful for me was the WA and the macro.

As someone said (either on discord or in some comment around here), the area "resets" every now and then and spawns new corrupted mobs something like 20 minutes or so. I was aleady at 8 out of the 10 needed and the remaining two took me like 2-3 hours of running around, but here are some advice from my experience with this:

- Uldum when the Black Empire Assault is active -- important: To see corrupted mobs you don't need to have the BfA assault unlocked (to progress on the legendary cloak questline, just be over level 50), it just needs to be active.
- warmode on for less competition
- late at night or early morning
- try lower population servers
- spam macro and have weakaura -- very important! -- I kept the macro on mouse scroll down and kept scrolling while running around when watching a movie
- do a lap around the area with steady flying
- switch phase (either different server or warmode on/off)

Macro:
/tar Corrupted
/script SetRaidTarget("target", 8);

Weakaura: Used the one: https://wago.io/X_SCmB3On which doesn't scan the npcs in the area, but triggers when the macro finds a Corrupted mob. It also has a bell sound, so it'll attract your attentgion when something is found.

I had to kill a lot of duplicates, especially Corrupted Fleshbeasts and Corrupted Putrefactions, which seem to spawn way way more often than the others (maybe 10+ times more often)

I'll probs get downvoted for this but I got the remaining two that I needed in Uldum in that south area. Took about 10 mins for dominator and jailer to spawn.

My trick was to do it on a dead server, killed about 5-10 of each mob then they spawned.

the best help I can offer is to find a good location to sit and camp near multiple spawns of a certain type youre looking for and kill them as soon as they spawn until you get a corrupted. This worked better for me than flying around spamming a macro

Minor bit of advice for those chasing the BfA meta achievement after the release of 11.0.7. Given we only need 10 total now, I found 2 of them are basically "freebies" along the south coast of Uldum. The Tormentor and Bloodseeker are both in the water, and per other comments here appear to be independent spawns. I was at 8/10 before reading deeper into this comment section and realizing that. After having spent an hour or two flying around the central land mass I did a quick patrol on the southern waters and finished off this achievement in less than 5 minutes. The Bloodseeker spawns on the SW coast (Ankhaten Harbor to Throne of Four Winds, roughly) while the Tormentor can be along the entire coast. I found mine on the eastern part near Cursed Landing).

Chromie Time is your friend. I logged on to a level 58 rogue. The invasion didn't show on the map, but all the mobs were spawned. Got the last 3 i needed in about 5 mins of flying around.

Remember that some of these can spawn OFF the MARKED area of the map(s). In uldum, I spotted a Corrupted Bloodseeker off the coast in the sea, south-east between the raid area and Neferset.
Along the southern coast, at least up to the Cursed Landing area, you might find Corrupted tormentors (found a regular one in the open see while seeking the BloodSeeker).

DO NOT SEARCH ONLY ON/WITHIN MARKED PURPLE AREA (at least if in Uldum)

Just do a /tar Corrupted Macro and fly around (STEADY, preferrably).

Today I went to try and get the last 4 corrupted mobs for this achievement. It took me 10 mins to get the 4 mobs and complete the achievement:

Took an alt char (level 60)
Met Chromie and chose BFA Timeline
Through the portal to Uldum

Loaded my Macro: Macro:
/tar Corrupted
/script SetRaidTarget("target", 8);

Loaded the recommended Weakaura: Used the one: https://wago.io/X_SCmB3On which doesn't scan the npcs in the area, but triggers when the macro finds a Corrupted mob. It also has a bell sound, so it'll attract your attention when something is found.

Opening Uldum Map :
Tagged first one along river between Ramakahen and Obelisk of the Moon
Flew straight down along the mountain range to Ankaten Harbour
Flew along the coastline all the way to The Cursed Landing (Tagged 3)
Tagged my last in Orsis.

I would recommend using an alt making use of Chromie Time. You dont need any intro quests for BFA.

I will add a couple of important comments that worked for me

Your twink must be level 50+, otherwise you won't see the corrupted mobs.
Turn on the Warmode. In normal mode I found only those mobs that were already killed in half an hour. In Warmode I found all the others in 7 minutes.
Look for mobs where the raid appeared this week.
Check the entire coastline in Uldum. I found the 3 mobs you need there

As many people pointed out, Chromie Time and WM helped a lot with this one.
My strategy was the following:
During an Uldum N'Zoth (middle part) assault, I took 4 characters to Uldum. One max lvl WM OFF and another WM ON, plus one 50-60 character Chrome Time BFA WM OFF and one WM on. That's all four possible phases.
And then I just went flying around, spamming this over-designed target macro which targets, applies the star raid marks and plays a ping sound:

/cleartarget
/stopmacro
/run PlaySound(12867); SetRaidTarget("target", 01); print(date().." "..UnitName("target"));
/point

I did a full circle on all characters, waited an hour or so, and then repeated the circles. That was enough to find 10 unique corrupted ones. No need to camp mobs or clear non-corrupted counterparts. GL!

A strat for this achievement I did not readily see mentioned was to make use of the 15-minute zone inactivity reset Uldum seems to have in Chromie Time (I tested with WM off). When the zone is vacant of all players for more than 15 minutes, it effectively goes into sleep mode and despawns everything. So with an RP server (which are only shared with other RP servers which generally have low pop) and Chromie time you are very likely to trigger this reset because there's way less people on RP servers and Chromie time for any non-leveling zone is a ghost town (your char must be 50-69 to be in Chromie Time and have access to the BFA version of the Uldum zone). You will notice an unusually long loading screen and if you use an addon like NPC time all the mobs will have spawn times of less than a minute. Do your flyby of the zone (there should be 5 corrupted enemies on the map) and if no necessary corrupted mobs are up, log out for a bit and wait for the zone to time out again. When you log in a new set of corrupted mobs will be up. Rinse and repeat until you have 10 dead.

For an optimal route, make sure you hit up the Lost City, Neferest, and along the main river of the zone (all the green areas of the map) spamming your target macro.

I'd also like to note some of the corrupted mobs are elite and can be dangerous if your Chromie Time toon is in less than good gear. If you run into one of these, I would just see if you can get a friend to help kill it for you. You can party sync any max level players into the Chromie time phase.

I started actually pursuing this achievement for the meta. I already had 5 corrupted enemies ticked off my achievement, so I felt like it shouldn't be too much of a pain in the ass. I looked at the enemies I could still claim for the achievement, and then realized (for me) my best bet was clearing out the specific non-corrupted versions in 2 smaller areas. Lost city of Tol'vir & Neferset. I managed to get Corrupted Jailer, Dominator, Assassin, and Despoiler in under 1.5 hrs this way. I did not see any other player in the areas while I was doing this, so I think I got very lucky. I left all other enemies I did not need the corrupted versions of alive, and saw a couple repeats (2 corrupted assassins).
I hope this could be useful for someone else :)

In the Vale of Eternal Blossoms near the Tu Shen Burial Grounds

...this area seems to have a finite number of mobs on it at a particular time, from the following list:

Acolyte of Nzoth (usually in sets of 2 or 3, easy kill)
Black Empire Beheader (patrolling or guarding path, kill)
Black Empire Conjurer (standing at various altars, kill to maybe produce Corrupted Summoner for this achieve)
Writhing Horror (worm flying) being ridden by Acolyte of Nzoth (kill both)
Faceless Tormentor (bothering the spirits, kill)
Faceless Conqueror (patrolling, kill)
Ancient Pandaren Spirit (hand glow to rescue)
Blood Font (set of 3 or 4 dead bodies on ground. one hand glow to burn all. might count as 3-4 mobs)
Putrid Ichor (set of 3 tiny mobs, kill)
a ground spawn Corruption Tumor (glow hand to laser, need lots of them for an achieve "It's Not A Tumor")
Shadowy Tome (floating book, hand glow to burn)
Black Empire Obelisk (floating pillars, hand glow to laser down, will aggro wyrms if close)
floating banners (floating near walkways, hand glow to burn)
Void Tear (spews a small batch of foes one at a time)
Pandaren Shrine (tho it doesn't seem to have a buff, or maybe I missed it)
Eye of the Corrupter (fast patrolling orb, kill)

There are also cages in the area, in theory those could contain a Captured Pandaren to rescue.

The various Faceless seem to relate to getting a different one of the Corrupted to spawn.

Does anyone know if killing the mobs too fast has a chance to mess with the chance of a corrupted spawning? Like in a bad way. I know with Urduu in Nazjatar for example, killing the Reefwalker in front of him TOO QUICKLY seemed to bug him out and make him not spawn/detect the Reefwalker.

I'm curious to know if anyone's noticed if these Corrupted mobs behave the same? If maybe you kill its "host mob" too fast the game may not detect the chance, and may not spawn it? I've been running around for what feels like hours and I cannot get a single one of these things to spawn. I literally just need 2 more for the achieve... sigh..

EDIT: They seem to spawn perfectly fine regardless of if you one-shot them or strip weapons/armor and auto attack them. I'll leave this up in case anyone had the same question I did. Happy hunting all!

Achieved on 09/12/2025

Findings during my runs:

* SilverDragon does work with NPC IDs
* You have to practically be on top of them for it to pop.
* This is fine because nothing can really hurt you out there, so flying low amongst the mobs isn’t going to pull you from flight by an enemy.
* War Mode is key.
* Being on a different shard helps populate different Corrupted.
* You can do a sweep, and then when you’re done, go back to your home city, turn on War Mode and different Corrupted will potentially be available.
* This isn’t a guarantee, you’re just setting yourself up for a potential of different Corrupted.

I've done this achievement in about 4 hours (roughly 3 of those being waiting) during the Vale of Eternal Blossom Black Empire Assault.

Even though it is technically the "harder" option because there is a lower total of potential corrupted versions to spawn, I wanted to get it done and there was nothing up in Uldum at the time.

For targeting, I've used the following macro from another comment. I felt like this was the best as it made a clear sound when you find a mob, was spammable and not unnecessarily bloated with all the possible versions of corrupted enemies(If I found one I already had, I killed it anyways so that the zone was "clean" after I did my sweep).

I didn't want to bother getting an alt to level 50-60 for Chromie Time and doing the entire terrible Assault questline to unlock them, so I just used 2 Level 80 characters. Despite what a lot of the comments are saying, I personally didn't have any issue finding Corrupted enemies with and without warmode toggled. I was using a character on a high pop and one on a low pop realm, but I couldn't really feel a difference in spawns (I think there were like 2 people at max in the zone with me at any given time).

I made a sweep through the zone while spamming the macro with warmode on, then turned it off and made another sweep. Swapped character, did the same, waited 1 hour for enemies to reset, did it all again. After 3 hours of doing that (so 9 sweeps total) I was done. I understand that this achievement is pretty weird but I've felt like a lot of the comments here made it seem a lot harder and complex to achieve than it felt for me.

Tl;dr Get any 2 or more chars that have Assaults unlocked(any level above 50) and spam the macro while in warmode and then again with warmode off. Wait 1 hour, repeat until you have your achievement. It is beneficial to do this during the Uldum assault, but can be done in the Vale aswell.

P.S. I did not use any addons but using some sort of NPC Scanner addon might help/save you some arthritis.

Honestly, just make a route and kill all "normal" version's of these NPC's for this achieve, especially in Uldum, it is time consuming but this worked for me. Took about 3-4 hours of grinding, but they will spawn eventually.

Getting this achievement for Housing purposes was such a pain in the butt. It took me probably 2 hours flying around the area in a long oval (using the waypoints in the top comment)

Drop down to kill regular mobs you need the corrupted versions of, for the chance that they respawn as a corrupted version. Make a macro "/tar corrupted" as you fly. Being a druid makes this process slightly faster.

What worked for me is flying around, spamming my /tar corrupted macro and kill ANY corrupted mob I found this way, including the ones I already had.

Before, I spent 2 hours circling Uldum and killing all the placeholders for the corrupted mobs I needed and got not even one respawn. Frustrated I changed my strategy and flew around killing nothing but the corrupted mobs I found. I found ~ 2 per turn, killed only them and continued circling and finally got a respawn I needed on the 4th circle, yay.

Cleared full camp of Acolytes in Vale 2 times on /way 50 65
After few min camp respawned and it had 3 Corrupted Acolytes and 1 Corrupted Thaumaturge...
Before that I was flying 5 hours and found none of Corrupted enemies, guess it's the way of doing it in 2026.

Also party synced with my 2nd trial char that was in active chromie time - found a lot of Corrupted enemies I needed, maybe it helps.
