Currently bugged in the MOP Beta, as refreshing diseases via Unholy Blight can overwrite the Physical Vulnerability debuff from Brittle Bones and Ebon Plaguebringer.

Unholy Blight it self does no damage, and applies full strength diseases to all enemies in 10 yards of the death knight.

The disease applications from unholy blight seem to count as melee hits, as it was able to proc gurthalak.

Usage
Unholy Blight is used to apply diseases. It refreshes diseases while targets remain in the 10 yard range for the full 10s, so these diseases effectively have 40s durations. It should be added to your disease macro, similar to the examples below.

Value
Frost: 1 unholy rune every 100-120 seconds. Frost applies Frost Fever rotationally through Howling Blast.
Unholy: Unholy Blight technically has zero value for Unholy on single-targets since Unholy's diseases last 60s due to the use of Festering Strike. However, it is nice on streaming adds, group content, and trash.
Blood: Much like Unholy, Unholy Blight technically has zero value for Blood on single-targets since Blood's diseases last forever due to . However, it is nice on streaming adds, group content, and trash.

Comparison
Unholy Blight is worth at most 1 unholy rune every 100-120 seconds. However, Unholy Blight is very easy to use and Plague Leech requires micromanaging your disease durations.

Plaguebearer is not directly comparable as it doesn't generate runes. According to sims, it is not a competitive talent for anybody.

Synergies with Necrotic Plague
Unholy Blight works great with Necrotic Plague, applying 10 stacks over 10 seconds to all enemies in range. This is a powerful combination in PvP, where Necrotic Plague is worth taking.

I really miss the old graphic. The new one looks like a giant Moonkin Insect Swarm. It really lost the "Unholy swarm of insects" feel to it.
