According to the latest MMO Champion's datamining, Guard now has a cooldown and Shuffle doesn't. Therefore, it's safe to assume that the Monk's active mitigaton is now Shuffle.

It actually makes sense as it interacts more with the mastery which is the case for all the other tank classes.
However, the channeled part is kind of weird and it will probably be removed, as it makes monk's active mitigation extremely static. :-/

glyph guard. the damage mitigation is pathetic. the glyph allows a 10% increase in magic absorbtion, which is the majority of raid boss damage for most raid bosses. that part doesn't even matter, though, since it's basically a weak bubble, either way.

Glyph guard for the healing. self healing. you may be thinking it isnt ur job to self heal, only to mitigate. Healing is the purest form of mitigation. Considering you spawn enough Gift of the ox to make a death knight wish he could trade you for death strike, the extra 30% healing is pretty much the reason you glyph this. Also, I don't know this for certain, but veangence loses some damage while you are mitigating the minor physical damage that the unglyphed version of this spell blocks. And less dps = enrage timer and enrage timer = wipe.

It should be noted that the Monk tier 14 Brewmaster 4 piece bonus increases the EFFECTIVENESS of guard not just its damage absorbed you will heal for 36% more with self heals instead of the 30%!

The WoD allclass monk heal Surging Mist is not affected by Guard's healing boost (nor are potions and engineer healing cooldowns)
Healing Elixirs is also unaffected by the healing boost for some reason.
