On the second stage drop bombs along the middle, taking out those Sentry Totems. That creates the easiest path. Even if you have to skirt a Sentry zone it doesn't agro you immediately so this is only a minor consideration.

On the 3rd stage I was unsure what to do. The action button did not appear, so I had no idea I had to 'sap' the targeted trolls. I learned that here, and used the Extra Action macro to make an action button.

If you don't know this one; make a macro with this command

/click ExtraActionButton1

and place the button on your action bar. When a target appears on a troll, get up close and hit the button. Retreat to Taoshi's smoke if you don't get them the first time.

the names of the last three stages of the scenario are "Keep Quiet", "Light up the Night", and "Breaking Out" which are all names of songs by the band The Protomen.

I had issues after aggroing the trolls that I was supposed to incapacitate. Taoshi stopped moving forward and I couldn't continue the scenario. I had to leave the instance and talk to her again on the Isle of Thunder to requeue it from the beginning.

keep in mind even if you step in the sentry totem's circle it's OK, they have to fire a beam to reach you and it starts near where the totem is. This should be enough time to hop out of the circle, once I figured that out it made it way easy.

On the stage where I had to locate Hu'seng, I walked right up to him, stood on top of him even, yet couldn't get credit. I'm stuck; ideas?

Blizz, when you make a quest which require buttons, at least make it so that the extra button shows up, very, very poor programming.

After you slay Captain Halu'kal, Taoshi will disappear. You can find him on the dock ready for Stage 5: Sneak to Hu'seng. Btw, triggering the Sentry totems in Stage 5 isn't a big deal, its takes a while for the Sentry Totem to find you and if you end up in a fight Taoshi throws a smoke bomb that will hide you from the mobs. Have fun, I did.

If the extra action button doesn't show for stage 3 and /click ExtraActionButton1 doesn't work, go as close as possible to the first troll (on the red circle) and the abilily should pop out. You shouldn't have anymore problems after the first troll gets sapped.

Is this the stupidest, buggiest, worst-designed quest ever? Do they now have an IQ test for WOW designers, if you score over 80 you fail?

Deleted unhelpful grumbling - if you die on the ship, wait at the spirit healer and you will rez there. Terrorwing will take you back to the ship and drop you off so you can get back where you left off. This is not obvious, and some of us need the hint :D

Taoshi stopped advancing during the transition from the stage where you have to incapacitate the trolls -- I sapped my guy, she didn't lay a finger on hers or /say anything to indicate I was supposed to go on ahead by myself, so I spent a few minutes sitting there trying to figure out if this part was bugged or if it was working as intended. Went ahead and solo-killed the Captain, walked out onto the dock where everyone said she'd be, she wasn't there. /reload ui -- nothing. Logged/relogged -- nothing. Had to drop the scenario because she just would not show up no matter what tricks I tried or how long I waited.

I don't know if I sapped the guy too quickly and that gummed up the works, because I've noticed that with certain events requiring use of an action button if you have catlike reflexes it either doesn't give you credit or bugs out the whole thing, but whatever the cause, it's mighty annoying to get halfway through a lengthy scenario and have to start all over again.

I got really confused doing this Scenario. I got even more confused on Wowhead when I couldn't find the chain of Scenarios linked. There are evidently SIX prongs as a part of this achievement: Isle of Thunder. I would suggest that the Scenarios be linked, at least under the achievement itself. If you find this, hopefully it's because they have been linked.

This is the second to the last Scenario of the Achievement, and the only one I had trouble with. The others were very easy to follow. You would just follow your NPC around and click what shows on your UI as needed.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU DO NOT GET CREDIT FOR THE MOBS IN THE SECOND STAGE:

You probably will NOT have any problems with the first stage, which just involves a typical bombing run, where button 1 is the drop and you click your bomb grid where you see these beacons within clearly marked circles.

But when you complete it, and the second stage starts, you have to be within Taoshi's stealth at all times. It's odd because sometimes she moves without you and sometimes she doesn't move at all and you think you need to move but you don't. Wait for her at all times and she'll direct you where to walk.

If your UI trips up like mine does, and doesn't show your Extra Action bar, you need to take off any addons that conflict with bars such as ElvUI, in my case, or make sure your Extra Action Bar is turned on in your stock UI. When you reload UI you will see your Extra Action Bar has turned into a huge Sap button. Now when you see targeted troll mobs, you simply ease behind them (barely touching them inside your red circle which shows you are stealthed) and sap. Do this 7 times. (Unfortunately, I had completed part of this stage and couldn't figure out how to redo it, and it stopped, so I had to drop quest.)

For the other prong of Stage 2, Taoshi just lays hunter type traps by each of the large catapults at the other side of the Stage entrance. Just follow her.

Stage 3 is easy. Go back to the entrance where you portal to the ship and look for the teeny stairs down to the hull. Someone mentioned here you can kill the Captain elite straight or kill the trolls who are drunk (nonelite) and get a buff.

If you get stuck in combat, jump off the boat and it will teleport you to the grave yard where you can get back on the bird to fly you back to the ship. It will reset your progress but... I mean it's better than staring at a wall because you can't sap anything because you can't go stealth while in combat.

I'm not sure if it was because I'm running a rogue and had my own stealth on top of Taoshi's, but I bugged out and could not directly attack any mob during the scenario. I could use Fan of Knives, Killing Spree, and indirect finishing moves like Slice and Dice and Recuperate, but I didn't figure that out until I got to the gatekeeper.

I've now done this on five different classes and it demonstrates the problems with getting these mini-scenarios balanced for the different classes. The DK and Prot Warrior went through the whole thing like a hot knife through butter. Leather wearers had a tougher time but managed, with one or two glitches. It took me three times with a Mage. Granted, there were some glitches that didn't seem to be part of the scenario as they hadn't turned up before.

If you die during the scenario (I was pretty good at that), you can't "rez" as you would in a normal situation. If you rez where you died, 20 Zandalarians, the 82nd Airborne and 200 Macedonian Warriors immediately jump on you. Mages no longer have a repeating, short-range AOE and the Wu Kao Smoke Bomb helpfully provided by Taoshi didn't work, so that's done. Then, when you rez at the Spirit Healer, you can't re-buff or summon your Water Elemental because somehow the Spirit Healer "stuns" you, and you can't do anything but try to sneak around again, unbuffed, unloved and beginning to get uninterested.

Can someone tell me when the fun part starts?

The smoke effects from smoke bombs being dropped on the totems currently make the entire area look like it's being carpet-bombed. My computer didn't like it.

You MUST do the stealth sapping with her or else you'll have to start the scenario over. Anyone overgeared, do NOT just one shot the trolls on the ship.

There appears to be a potential bug when starting this quest as of 8.3. The quest can be picked up, but clicking to queue for the solo instance doesn't do anything. So far I haven't found a solution yet, including reloading, restarting, resetting instances, and dropping quest and picking up again.

Edit: Leaving the continent entirely and coming back seemed to do the trick. Until that point, I wasn't able to queue for anything.

Had issues with this, even when /click ExtraActionButton1 didn't work at first.

First, dismiss pets.

I put /click ExtraActionButton1 into a macro and stood close to the troll, got aggro'd, still spammed the macro, stood in the smoke again to reset them, then quickly stood behind the troll and used the macro over and over. Worked fine after that. Also, the red ring shows you how close you can get.

This is bug for classes with pet in Remix so you can fix doing this:
-dropping quest and picking up again (make sure you dismiss your pet before start )
-make sure Taoshi's following you.

in case you cant press the extra button make this macro: /click ExtraActionButton1
