Retrieve 6 Barrels of Darkspear Rice. Deliver the rice to Marogg in Orgrimmar.

Description

As you know, <name>, Garrosh has relegated the trolls of Orgrimmar to the western outskirts of the city. Fortunately, that means that we have easy access to their supplies. I am working on a large batch of jambalaya for the infantry and I need as much rice as possible. Lucky for us, the trolls keep it stored in barrels near their structures. Retrieve these barrels of Darkspear rice for me and I should be able to finish up.

Remember, Hordies: if you steal rice from the trolls, you're doing exactly what the humans want you to do. And you wouldn't want to do that, now, would you?

The real quest should be finding the guy stealing the rice, and then beating the crap out of him.

There should be an option--especially if you're playing a troll--to talk to the guy responsible for the Darkspear Rice Barrels, and say "Hey, we need this rice, what can I do to compensate you for it?" I'd imagine either going on a short repeatable quest, or outright buying it as a few other quest items can be bought from special vendors, eg. Fresh Pound of Flesh.

Do not confuse the big barrels needed for this quest with the small ones swimming around the group of trolls. It took me quite some time to figure out that I was trying to collect the wrong barrels...

The only char that can't steal rice is my hunter... troll. Is it made on purpouse or just a bug that troll can't collect barrels?

Trolls apparently get this version of the quest where you have to steal rice from the goblins south of the toll area. At least this shortly after the shattering a lot quicker to do, because there are obviously less trolls than other chars and the barrels spawns are not camped.

How dare they. I'm shocked. I feel insulted! I have a complaint about Marogg in Orgrimmar. This greenskin asks me to steal Kezan rice from the goblins who stole our jobs in Orgrimmar so all is fine and I'm more than happy to help him out. So every other day he needs more rice and I'm always there to help him. I'm making sure to visit him between my adventures because he seems to be a nice guy.

Until yesterday... I heard rumors from a trustable source that Marogg has been asking travelers in Orgrimmar, except for the Darkspear, to steal from the trolls! From my people! I couldn't believe my ears! So I went on investigation and hid in the small area that's left for us trolls in Orgrimmar. And indeed. People were stealing our supplies. As I followed the thiefs back to Marogg it became clear. This guy is a traitor! I would have killed him myself but since he's wearing a scary big axe and we trolls have an unstable relationship with the people in Orgrimmar I thought twice and was able to hold back.

So now every day I'm doing a ritual to worship the loa and ask for justice. I demand that this guy stops asking for his needs in rice. Not only is he stealing from his own people, he is also causing havoc between the races of the Horde.

Atm there is so many ppl doing this quest, that finding the barrels can be kinda hard.

They have several spawn places, but there is one at the end of the bridge, just before the Org western exit. Just beside a guard, on the left side of the bridge, if standing on the bridge itself, looking at the western exit.

I stood and waited for it to spawn, have a 1min respawn time it seems, always spawns the same place.
Remember to hold down Shift (or turn auto looting on) if u wanna loot faster (since u skip where u have to actually press the loot to pick it up) if there is ppl battling you for the barrel.

I found this quest really annoying because the respawns are slow and everyone camping/looking for it.

What an awful quest. Very limited spawn points for barrels, everyone and their brother running around looting them.

shows just how dirty and dishonorable the orcs have become in cata. I'm an orc shaman, and I winch at seeing quests like theses on the horde now. Its not so much 'bad ass' and it is playground bully.

After doing this on my troll mage, which involved stealing from goblins, I was mildly surprised after my race change to goblin to learn that this was the original quest.

As a goblin I would still be down for taking from my fellow gobs, just need some hazard pay, finder's fees, bribes, blackmail fees ect. ect.

For people who are doing this one (sorry Trolls) there is one barrel that almost nobody seems to grab.

Near the west exit, in a small house with Keldran in it, there is a rice barrel. I walked in with 5 guys buzzing around for barrels and nobody had touched the thing.

I've discovered an interesting little trick to make this quest a snap:
The two barrels at the ends of the bridges leading to the camp seem to be instant respawn, taking turns spawning.
In other words, when one is looted, the other spawns.

Fly to one, loot it, fly to the other, loot it, fly to the first one, loot it, fly back to the 2nd one, loot it, fly back to the first one, loot it, fly back to the second one, loot it, fly back to the first one, realize you already have 6 and go turn in.

Just tested this out during off-peak hours and it didn't seem to work. It's worked pretty consistently when the area is crowded though.

Marogg also gives another quest: Even Thieves Get Hungry.
This one involves killing thieves around Org that are stealing from orc and tauren supplies.
That's peculiar is that all the thieves are, you guessed it, trolls and goblins.

So first they steal from the trolls' and goblins' supplies, starve them, then murder them when they try to steal some food back.
Oh, and they get you to do all the dirty work.

Behold, the Horde of Garrosh Hellscream. Absolutely disgusting.
