I came here at level 41 to level my cooking early, was not expecting the birds that fly around the town to keep killing me.

Wrong picture. Sungshin Ironpaw does not path/travel. She also has glasses, a pink blouse and bluish full length skirt. She is located by all the huge vegetables on Halfhill Market. About 15 feet from the flight master after you land. Correct screenshot submitted with this post.

I think it is a serious failing that she doesn't teach Zen Master Cook.

Edit: Ok, so it turns out she does but in a non-obvious way. First, you must complete and turn in "So You Are Ready To Be A Chef." (If you learned Cooking at any point you will have the necessary recipe already, filed under Everyday Cooking in your cookbook.)

She then offers "Ready for Greatness," which has Zen Master Cook as one of its rewards. Buy Rice x5 and Yak Milk x5 from her to make the pudding.

Of course I learn this after I hoof it back to Orgrimmar to train it and wait on my hearth CD...

With her, You can train cooking from 1 to 525 in just 10 minutes.
Every recipe she can teach You, gives 5 points per craft.
Total mats You need are:

- Sold by her

- Drop/Fishing

Wildfowl Breast x 2
Golden Carp x 42

So I still can't find her but will look where everyone has said she is. I just need rice. However, I also wanted to point out that golden carp can be fished up at the arboretum in jade forest. I fished out like 40 of them today. Previous post had said you had to use your tokens to get them from Nam Ironpaw. You can get them that way but its not necessary. ;)

While Sungshin Ironpaw has NOT moved, the Flight Path has, which is now up by the inn, the Lazy Turnip. Just to clear up any confusion since the drop of 5.1.

For those who came to this page because they were wondering:

You CAN learn all of the ways at once. The 'specialisation' they refer to isn't like engineering (one, or the other) - instead, each way's 'skill level' is tracked separately depending on how many things you cook within that tree.

eg: Way of the wok, make 5 sauteed carrots - wok skill is now 530, and cooking is 530 overall.
Make 10 teas in way of the brew - brew skill is now 535, and 535 overall, but wok is still 530.
Make another 10 carrots - wok skill is now 540, brew skill is still 535, overall is 540.

This is what they mean by 'a cook is only as good as his greatest skill' or whichever - your overall is affected by whichever Way you are most experienced in, but you gain experience in the Ways separately.

If her quuest icon is grey (grey exclamation point) it is because you need to level up your cooking (to 510 I believe).
I had completed her first quest and was pulling some hairs out figuring out how to get the next quest :-D
You can level up to 510 with the recipes she provides and the items she sells.

I think it is unfortunate that she doesn't offer a rundown of what all the different "ways" are (what they benefit most) after the initial quests are done. I really think it would be nice to have a conversation option when you right-click on her, that simply gives you the option of her telling you again about the different types of cooking. After all, she is THE "Guide to the Ways," she should be able to guide you if you want to know more about the different ways.

I realize that you can find this out by visiting the different cooking instructors or checking your recipes later on, and reading what stat is the focus of a particular way... it just would be nice to have an option to get a summary from her at any time.

Completing her quests does NOT give any reputation gains toward The Tillers.

I came to her at level 7, and while she offered the quest to make the peaches, there are no recipes showing to be learned. FYI, this is a toon that I used a level boost on after ordering WoD. Any thoughts? I did go get the quest on the East end of the Valley that sends you to her, thinking that may have been the issue, but to no avail.

Sungshin will interact with your low-level toon.

I used a mage port to my faction hub in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, and then got taxied on a two-person mount to Halfhill. No aggro from the Monstrous Plainshawks that constantly circle overhead so I was able to peacefully learn cooking recipes and buy materials.

I was level 27. My cooking was level 45 from making Spice Bread.
Along with the cooking achievements from leveling, I also obtained The Pandaren Gourmet.

You can train up to level 525 with Sungshin. Bring 42 Golden Carp and 2 Wildfowl Breast with you - the rest of the materials can be purchased from her. Higher level quests are not visible yet!
