Evolution – Corla drains the essence of a Nether Dragon corpse and channels this essence into Twilight Zealots. The Evolution effect then rapidly stacks on the Zealot, and if the number of stacks reaches 100 then the Zealot will transform into an Evolved Twilight Zealot for the remainder of the encounter. The stacking Evolution effect lasts 15 sec.
If a player moves into the beam between a Twilight Zealot and the Nether Dragon corpse, that player starts to gain the Evolution effect and begins to evolve. If the Evolution effect stacks to 100 on a player, then the player will transform into a Twilight Drakonid.
Aura of Acceleration – Corla emits an aura that accelerates nearby friendly units within 50 yards. Accelerated units have their movement speed increased by 50%, and their attack speed increased by 15%.
Dark Command – Corla issues a dark command, causing a random enemy player to flee in terror for 3 sec. The fleeing target is also inflicted with 3850 Shadow damage every second.
Twilight Zealot – Two Twilight Zealots are with Corla, preparing to be evolved into Twilight Drakonids.
In Heroic Difficulty, there are three Twilight Zealots.
- Kneeling in Supplication – Twilight Zealots kneel before Corla to prepare for their evolution. When kneeling they will perform no actions, and any damage taken is reduced by 99%.
Evolved Twilight Zealot – A Twilight Zealot that gains 100 stacks of the Evolution effect transforms into a Evolved Twilight Zealot.
- Force Blast – The Evolved Twilight Zealot projects a blast of pure force at a random enemy player, inflicting 4851 to 5929 Physical damage and stunning the target for 2 sec.
- Gravity Strike – The Evolved Twilight Zealot strikes its current enemy target with a magically imbued attack. The strike inflicts 60% of the target's current health as Physical damage, and reduces the target's Attack Power by 1000 for 8 sec.
- Grievous Whirl – The Evolved Twilight Zealot swings its weapons around him, attacking all enemies within 8 yards. The attack deals 5486 to 6064 Physical damage, causes the targets to bleed for an additional 750 Physical damage every 3 seconds for 30 sec. The bleed effect is also removed if the inflicted target becomes fully healed again.
- Shadow Strike – The Evolved Twilight Zealot steps through the shadows and reappears behind his current enemy target. After the Evolved Twilight Zealot reappears, he inflicts 18600 Shadow damage to his target.
Twilight Drakonid – A player that gains 100 stacks of the Evolution effect transforms into a Twilight Drakonid.

the second boss in BRC a pretty straight-forward fight. She has some standard caster attacking spells, and aura that increases her attack and movement speed (seemed permanent, didn't find a way to remove it), and has a thing about evolution. When I pulled her, she debuffed me with 9 stacks of Evolution - sadly, the thing wore off and she never re-applied it, so I don't know what happens when you get to 100; or if anything happens. Anyway, as you fight her, the three inactive cultists around her do gain stacks of Evolution and soon becoming big bad drakonids. Kill adds, kill boss. Easy, if you don't count the big damage your tank will take.

You can interrupt the "drakonization" of the three mobs by interrupting the purple stream giving them Evolution. However, you yourself will start gaining stacks, and it's highly likely that you'll soon find yourself turning on your teammates if you allow yourself to transform.

So, bounce in and out of the stream, interrupting the mobs' transformation without causing your own.

Corla is the second boss in Blackrock Caverns. It is advised that before you start the fight you kill the patrol and the two groups. When you start the fight, the dragon will channel beams at the three zealots. They will start gaining stacks of Evolution. Once they get to 100 they will transform into the dragonkin you just got done killing. You can stop them from gaining the buff by intercepting the beams yourself, but you will start stacking it instead. The goal of this encounter is to have one zealot transformed at a time. Have your tank pull the boss near one of the zealots. Have ranged block the beams of the other two. As soon as the first one transforms start dpsing it down fast. As soon as it dies you want to have one of the dps move away from their beam. Do this two more times and you have this fight won. You can use things like Ice block and Pally bubbles to wipe your stacks. Make sure to never get 100 stacks of it on you, otherwise you will transform and become mind controlled. The boss herself will fear people and randomly yank people to her.

Here's a slight variation on this so you don't neccessarily have to kill all of the adds- but it takes some coordination.

First, select two of the mobs that you are going to have blocked. Assign two people to each mob, which I will refer to as "mini groups". When your tank pulls, have one person in each "mini group" step into those beams (except for the third, unmarked one). Once each user hits about 75 stacks of the debuff, have them rotate out for the next person in the mini-group to start gathering stacks. Note that the folks will still probably have to weave in-and-out in order to not have the stacks come up too fast. They are on a cooldown of about 15 seconds to remove all the stacks. (Iceblock and bubble remove them).

The tank should do their best to weave in-and-out of the other beam by themself, but making sure they never get too close to 100 stacks (If you get to 80 or so, just let the cutlist eat the beam). In this situation, you very well may have one of the cultists transform, the one the tank was watching. Depending on the health of Corla, you may be able to simply DPS her down and ignore the add-in if your tank has their cooldowns up. If she's still relatively high, then you may want to kill the add first, then her.

The adds do hit surprisingly hard, so having more than one up, or having one of your teammates transform, will ensure a wipe.

Just did this on live on Heroic and we tried killing the adds 1 by 1 but the damage output on the tank was unhealable (we only just were able to get into heroics) so we came up with this strat.

1 player is able to stop 1 NPC from gaining 100 stacks indefinitely (disregarding fears) by letting the NPC soak the beam for as long as possible and then the player soaks the beam until the NPC's stacks reset.

The player then steps out of the beam and lets the NPC soak the beam until the player's stacks reset. The player then soaks the beam until the NPC's stacks reset. Rinse, repeat.

Since you only use 3 players to soak the 3 beams, if any of your beam soakers get feared then 1 of the 2 free players MUST step in and cover for him quickly by soaking his beam.

This does get very tight and has a low margin for error but is the fastest way to kill him.

Note: The NPC will get to about 80 stacks before your debuff drops so you really need to be quick and paying attention. I would advise against this strat in pugs until a few months into cata but I doubt many people are pugging heroics yet.

Not sure if boss changed, but as of 12/8/2010 there are only two beams on normal which makes the fight a little easier.

1) Tank on boss, two people left beam, two people right beam
2) One person blocks the beam(stand in front of to absorb) until @90 stacks then move out and let their partner take their place.
3) Hardest part is coordinating a PUG, so take charge and give out orders, two left, two right, choose which people will block first and make sure they rotate at 90 stacks.
4) Dps should be dpsing boss when possible, ranged dps makes fight slightly easier.

On heroic have 2 DPS and the Healer step into the beams when the NPC get to 80 stacks. When they themself get 80 stacks, step out. The fear can be dispelled and even if not is seldom gamebreaking. Tank the boss between the 2 DPS for maximum damage output. If the NPC are handled correctly, you will get little problems with this boss.
Have the DPS make their NPC their focus target to track the debuff.

There will be beams going from the roof to towards the two(Heroic: 3) adds kneeling in front of her. If these beams reach 100 stacks, the ads(that otherwise is inactive and just standing there) to go nuts, basically killing you. They have around 600k HP if I'm not mistaken. So killing them will be a problem.

How to not fail: Stand in the beams, simply enough. Move out when they close up on 100 stacks. I recommend at around 80 stacks (Heroic 90). Then simply move out and let the ads take the stacks until your debuff clears after 12 seconds.
It's recommended to have the healer stand in one beam and tank the boss close to the other so that melee can take the second, or the tank himself if there is no melee DPS.
On heroic we had a ranged DPS in the third one with melee running out and taking the beam at times where the buffs haven't had time to run for one reason or another.

How to beat this fight on heroic mode:
Setup:
Protection paladin (me)
Holy paladin
Demonology warlock
Unholy death knight
Shadow priest

You have three beams.
One person has to stand in each of them, untill you've stacked up 75 stacks. When that happends, run out of it. Run into the beam again when the debuff have dissapeared. Rince and repeat. Ridiciously easy and you wont wipe if you just manage to do this.

If you get 100 stacks, you get MCed and turned into a beast which usualy whipes the party. Same thing happends if you let a mob get 100 stacks.

I tanked the boss while taking care of the central beam.

Have a ranged DPS stand in each of the beams. When you get 80 stacks of the debuff, move out of the beam until it falls off, and then get back in for 80 stacks. Rinse and repeat. Make sure to interrupt when she starts casting Dark Command (her fear ability).

Quite easy boss, If you know what to do.
Have the tank, tank her where she is standing
Have ranged dps & the healer (preferably) take the beams going to the "adds"
The players on beams should move out of the beam at around 85 stacks on the debuff
then simply wait for it to reset, and walk back in.

So, here's an overview of the fight on heroic, from the point of view of someone on beam duty:

At the pull, there are 3 immune to damage adds that have purple beams on them. These beams generate debuff stacks on whoever is in the way of them and when those stacks get to 100, that mob/player turns into a dragonkin that is friendly to the boss. So, we want to avoid this unless going for the achievement.

If you are on beam duty, you need to allocate a beam to yourself. At the pull, run into the way of the beam and stay there. Dps, heal, do whatever you need to do from that position. The debuff has a 15 second timer on it for you and the mob. When you run in, the mob will have a few stacks already and it will take 15 seconds for his stacks to drop after you take the beam. If you step out of the beam before those 15 seconds are up, the stacks will just keep building on the mob and won't have dropped off yet. Thus, you need to let the stacks build on you for more than 15 seconds, which will take you to over 70 stacks. Between 70 and 99 stacks, you need to step out of the beam and let your stacks drop. If you delay too long between dropping your stacks and getting back into the beam, the mob will get full stacks and transform, so get back under the beam as soon as your stacks drop. There are only a few seconds in it!

Heroic mode strategy:

Assign 3 ranged people to control beams.
Assign one person (melee or casters) to interrupt fear casts by the boss every ~20 seconds.

Beam controllers step into their assigned beams 1st time as soon as the zealots start to sparkle (~80 stacks of the buff) and leave the beams as soon as they get 80 stacks themselves. Beam controllers return to their beams as soon as their debuff drops.

The boss has a very minimal dps output so this strategy makes the fight pretty trivial since none of the zealots have a chance to evolve.

I find it odd that atlas loot has a loot table for this and wowhead doesnt even have and article or screenshot!

This boss has 1 simple mechanic, other than that it is a tank and spank.
I ran this on heroic today, and have done on reg and the fight has little if any difference, possibly the stacks apply a little slower, but there are 3 adds that are constantly channeling, and when the fight begins, there is a beam being cast from the hanging dragon and stacking a debuff on the adds, This debuff when reaching 100, turns the target into a Evolved Zealot, one of the bigger adds before the boss. on heroic these will start doing a LOT of damage to the tank with the boss.
3 people in the group(possibly 2 on Reg) must be doing the same rotation below:
1. Wait for the add to get 76ish stacks
2. Move right in front of add between the beam and him, the beam should change target to you, and start stacking the debuff on you, you can wait until 75 stacks, but more importantly so that the stacks have reset to 0 on the add
3. Move out of the beam so it targets the add instead.
Rinse and repeat
We had a setup of a Warrior tank, Druid healer(me) and ele shaman, hunter, ret pally.
we had it set up so that ranged/heals were blocking beam, we had a few wipes but we did it. its just a routine fight, boss hits light, very little damage taken overall.

Heroic: 3 adds with beams to stand in front of, if anyone gets 100 stacks it'll cause a wipe. The debuff that the beams cause will wear off with enough time left over for the same person to dance in and out of the beam. Cora will complicate things by causing a fear which could cause you to run into someone else's beam when you are trying to reset, so its important to interrupt her spells.

Also, try not to run parallel to the beams when you are running away as they follow you for some time..

The beams on her three minions will stack a debuff, up to 100. If the minions get to 100 they will evolve and mess up your day, so get in the way of the beam before that happens. However, if the debuff reaches 100 on you, you will be MC'd and wipe the party.

She also casts Dark Corruption, an interruptable fear. Make sure to catch that.

Corla is a fight that requires some coordination. She has three (two in normal) beams that will charge up the adds untill they become an elite and kill the group. To avoid this, three people need to go into the line of the beam to pick it up and take the debuff up to a stack of ~80 and then get out and let the add get it again. When your debuff wears off, jump back in the beam. A healer, a DPS, and a Tank can grab the beams leaving the other two DPS to pick up the beams if the one of the others gets feared away from it. Her fear is a cast and can be interrupted but I do not remember the name. Rinse, repeat, collect loot.

Most important job here is the control of the beams, basically, take 80 stacks of the debuff, then side step out of the beam, let the debuff run down and straight away move back in and take the beam again.

Best done by ranged/healers if you can.

Heroic Mode.

At the pull, there will be a beam cast on each of the three twilight cultists. The beam will place a stacking debuff on the cultist. If the debuff reaches 100 they will transform into drakanoids and all hell will break loose. As a throwback to Netherspite in Kara, have people stand in each of the three beams. Jump out of the beams once your stacks reach about 80, if you let them get to 100, you will be mind controlled and kick the crap out of your group and they will hate you.

Your stacks will fall off before the cultists stacks reach 100. After your stacks fall off, jump back in the beam immediately, to avoid the cultist from receiving 100 stacks. The luck portion of this is that the boss will fear a random target. A badly timed fear may result in the transformation of the cultist. Have the dps/healer that is not in the beam jump in and take until the fear breaks, then original person can jump back in until 80 stacks. Rinse repeat.

My group consisted of a druid tank, druid healer (me), hunter, warrior, DK. The hunter, warrior and I took the beams. The tank positioned the boss so the warrior could dps will in the beam. It is possible to place the boss between to cultists and have two melee dps in the beams if your groups requires such a set up.

If you nail down the beam transitions the fight is a cakewalk. Good luck

Be aware that if you're following the normal stategy (3 people in beams to 80, then letting it fall off before jumping back in) YOU MUST INTERRUPT EVERY FEAR.

The reason for this is simple - while people are standing in beams, their Zealot still has stacks on him that most likely haven't fallen off yet. If people get feared out of their beam, you're screwed - the zealot's stacks refresh, and the beam-person can't jump back in because if they start taking stacks again, they'll hit 100 long before the zealot's stacks fall off.

So if someone's feared out of a beam, it's almost guaranteed you're gonna end up with an evolved zealot, an MC'd person or both.

Incidently, a melee is fine to take the center beam if the tank pulls the boss right on top of the zealot and parks her there. Melee can jump out of the beam and circle round to let let the zealot take it for a bit while still hitting the boss, then jump back in once stacks have gone,

Most of the comments for Heroic mode (3 beams) talk about have your ranged dps & healer be designated beam blockers; well what happens with a 3 melee dps group (without making a dps babysit a beam without hitting the boss)?

Assign the healer to block one of the beams (not the middle one).
Assign a melee dps (with a reliable interrupt) to interrupt duty. This dpser needs to focus on interrupting dark command every cast as the fear has a good chance to mess up a beam blocker's beam management. This player should not block any beams; unless called for in an emergency.
Assign the other 2 melee dps to each of the 2 remaining beams. This way both melees can hit the boss while blocking their beam. These 2 melee dpsers need to focus more on managing their beams than topping the dps or interrupting dark command.
The tank will need to tank directly between the two beams that the melee are blocking. Position the boss between the beams but upstream from the cultists. This way both of the beam blocking dps can still hit the boss from 'behind' while blocking their respective beams.
All beam blockers should step out of their beam when the cultist they are blocking has its stack fall off. This is about at 75-80 stacks on yourself. It's a good idea to have each beam blocker set their focus to their cultist so it can be seen when the stack is clear and they should step back in the beam.

Obviously the tank or other melee dps can interrupt as well, but giving people 1 job to focus on is sadly all that many players can handle.

If the proverbial !@#$ hits the fan in regards to beam blocking it is generally better to let the cultist get mind controlled over a player, as the cultist will probably be activated shortly after the player gets mind controlled anyway.

What people haven't mentioned is if you kill Corla first, the ads die with her.

So you don't have to kill one ad at a time (unless you want the achievement). As a tank you take the far right beam, the others (ranged) take the other two beams.

Tank her on the beam, move out of the beam when the stacks reach 80. Wait the 15 seconds for the buff to go, step back in and repeat
The ads don't have to evolve and be killed one by one they just remain subdued, and it's a very straight forward fight this way.

You could always skip her too if she is causing the party too many problems.

Interrupt the fear (every 20 seconds)
3 people stand in beams to 80 stacks, step out, repeat once your debuff fades.

Do these and it becomes an easy tank and spank.
Miss a fear or someone stays in/out too long and the difficulty goes way up.

this may sound stupid...what if none of the zealots is killed? cuz thought i´ve read here and there that atleast one must be killed...EVERYTIME i get in this fight tanks(cuz most of them are the party leaders) say that is wrong but as soon one of them transform we have between 5 and 10 seconds before a definite wipe

Easiest boss I've faced on hc.

Each of the three dps (myself included) blocking a beam, with the healer assigned to step in if one of us got feared.
The fears were easily interrupted.
Simply step out when the debuff reaches 80 and step in again when it falls of you.

However, when I first did this boss one of the adds evolved and we wiped quickly...as long as the beams are managed, this boss is very easy.

Easy fight to heal as resto shaman, I take a beam , throw down tremor totem (just in case) and interrupt dark command as needed, and step out at 75-80 stacks.

What happens if you cross the streams? (points if you get the reference)

Since I haven't seen anyone mention it here, you MUST kill her to proceed to the next boss. If you skip her, as I have done with a totally incompetent group, Raz won't spawn to take down the big guys at the bridge. We found this out the hard way. :(

So, I heard from three different people tonight that the beams are Evolving players earlier than normal, maybe at 90 instead of 100?

It's totally possible of course that this is just players making excuses - Onyxia's breathing more and the beams are kicking in faster! But just in case I tried switching out 10 sooner than normal (75 instead of my usual 85) and it worked very smoothly.

It's possible to solo her on normal as a Protection Paladin. No chance on heroic, of course.

Position yourself on the left beam (south on the map) to prevent the first Twilight Zealot from evolving (let stack to 80, drop it off, etc).

Ignore the second zealot and just let him evolve; you'll tank him along with Corla.

As you're the only person in the instance, she will never cast Dark Command, which makes the other bit easy: interrupting the Evolved Twilight Zealot's Shadow Strike. Rebuke is now available to Prot Paladins, so use that to interrupt (unless your Avenger's Shield fires off at just the right time to interrupt it). I found Deadly Boss Mods incredibly useful here: it fires off a warning when he starts casting, so just target him when it goes off and hit your interrupt key.

Gear overview: all reputation epics, crafted elementium shield, 346 heroic/justice gear, 349 equipped average item level - 150k health, 35k armour, 12% dodge, 11% parry, 46% block. Seal of Insight was used so that I wouldn't be thirsty for mana at any point.

One final tip: due to the zealot's Gravity Strike, don't be afraid of hovering near low health for the duration of the fight. I was floating around 30k health; Corla hits for nothing.

Mechanics: The Boss has a lot of health but very little damage. There are two adds that do nothing until they are transformed and then they will cause you to wipe. If you are transformed you will cause a wipe via mind control. You or the adds will transform when you or they have 100 stacks of the beam debuff. You block the beam from hitting the adds by standing in front of it. The beam debuffs stack as long as you are in the beam. The debuffs will drop off you or the adds all at once after a certain time outside the beam (about 15 seconds). If you or the adds go back into the beam any time before the debuffs drop off, the counter starts all over again. You must prevent the adds from transforming and also prevent yourself from transforming via beam management. You must interrupt the Bosses dark command that fears you into or out of the beam and ruins your beam management.
The priorities: Beam management: number one. Interrupting dark command on the boss: number 2. DPSing, tanking, and healing are only done if you have free time.
Beam Management: Immediately put your right foot into the beam and monitor your beam debuffs. Put your right foot out when it hits 80. You have to move away until the beam stops following you. Monitor your beam debuffs and when it goes away put your right foot in and you shake it all about until your beam debuffs hit 80 again. You do the Hokey Pokey and turn yourself around (you keep repeating the above). That’s what it’s all about.
The boss hates the Hokey Pokey and will fear you into or out of the beam when you don’t want to be feared. Everyone must interrupt the boss when she starts to cast dark command or she will interrupt the Hokey Pokey. Redundancy is required in case of a failed interrupt because one fear can cause the team to wipe. Everyone with interrupt ability needs to use it on every attempted cast of dark command by the boss.
For beam management: There is no need to monitor the adds’ beam debuffs. Only monitor your own debuffs. Leave at 80 and enter when it drops off and your timing will correlate with the adds. Assign the healer and a ranged DPS for beam management since they can still DPS or heal while in the beam. In heroic there are three adds and three beams and you need a third beam manager. If you need a melee person to be a beam manager, have the tank position the boss where that add is so he can DPS while blocking the beam. The tank can also manage a beam in dire circumstances.

Do the Hokey Pokey and turn yourself around because that’s what it’s all about.

It is possible to solo her on normal mode as a Feral Druid (level 85, typical tanking talent build, 344 average item level, 147.2k HP, 42.9k armor, 31.83% dodge) using basically the same strategy as has been previously mentioned here. I started out on Corla and stood in one of the beams until the other zealot evolved. I then focused on the evolved zealot and interrupted whenever it cast Shadow Strike. I had to be ready to charge and interrupt Shadow Strike right after the zealot evolved, as it begins to cast Shadow Strike very shortly after it evolves. I used Survival Instincts and Frenzied Regeneration immediately after interrupting the second Shadow Strike, so that I would not be rage starved by Frenzied Regeneration when I needed to interrupt the next Shadow Strike. I also used my other survival cooldowns (Barkskin/trinkets) one at a time while fighting the evolved zealot. All the while, I had to absorb the beam on the zealot which I was not killing, step out of the beam at 80 stacks, and then step back in once the debuff wore off. Allowing the second zealot to evolve guarantees death (at least at my gear level). Once the first zealot was dead, I focused on Corla and jumped in and out of the second zealot's beam, never letting it evolve, until Corla was dead.

You can solo her on heroic, but you gotta "glitch" out the Zealots or else they kill you.

I saw a hunter shoot her near the entrance to her room. Then the hunter sprinted all the way to the entrance to the dungeon and parked a turtle near a corner at the entrance. The Zealots evolved, but they never gave a crap and never persued the hunter (Maybe because of LoS or a FD). She hit the hunter's turtle like a wet noodle, and it easily turned into a tank'n'spank fight.

This might get hotfixed by Blizzard at some point.

this is a typical ^&*! boss ,where I have no idea what to do even after I read the boss skills. But what I know is 2 tanks leave the group because they are tired of this frustrating bull^&*!. Challenge for the winz

Just thought I'd give this boss a try in normal (never been in BRC before) as an 85 hunter to figure out where my alts were getting their roses from this year and it didn't go too badly.

You can camo past all of the first room with the boss in it and over the thin part with dragonkin lined up along it (I hugged the left edge). Blindly pulled Corla without touching any trash and had a pack of 5 weak mobs join the fight so dismissed my pet, FD and reset the fight to kill them first. Threw my pet at the boss and stood in the right beam while letting the left mob evolve. Once they evolved, switched the focus to the dragonkin and he dropped pretty quick then switched to the other add who's been evolving in the meantime and finally to the boss after they're dead.

The biggest issue really in the fight is the but if you position yourself correctly on the ramp you can LoS the spell behind the ramp's edge. The boss alone hits like a feather so if you wish you can really just afk out of LoS once the adds are dead and your pet can solo the boss down.

Corla is definitely normal mode solo-able for a reasonably well-equipped L85, but it's much easier if you have at least one friend to help. Some tips/hints from a BM Hunter perspective (which was both me and my guildmate):

You can indeed camo-sneak past most of the mobs and certainly the first boss, but the only situation that really felt essential was to sneak past the Evolved Zealots that line the bridge between the first boss and Carla's cavern. Simply because of numbers.
I generally recommend clearing out all the trash mobs between the Evolved bridge gauntlet and Carla, because otherwise the wanderers and the groups can ruin your day. At L85, they're trivial and don't do much damage.
We just about wiped on our first go because we didn't know what we were doing, and I stood in the Evolution beam too long (stupid me...). Watch those stacks and don't let them get to 100.
That said, even when the dragonkin finish evolving, if you're a solid DPS'er as we were, it almost doesn't matter, because as soon as you kill Carla, they disappear. And they don't actually do that much damage anyway. In short, it does help if you can slow one from evolving, but otherwise even afterwards you can ignore them for the time it takes to finish her off.

And for what it's all worth, we were doing the dungeon to get the roses for the Love is in the Air thing -- and she dropped them both times.

was very easy as an elemental shaman 394 ilvl normal mode. earth&fire elementals up, bloodlust and elemental mastery on, did take 2-3 seconds just nuke

Soloed as a 377 combat rogue, just make sure you only allow 1 mutation, save your evasion for when it mutates, and be sure to cloak the first shadow strike ;)

Oh and keep up recuperate obv :D

Simple fight that I've wiped on more times than I want to mention. If done correctly, this fight can last less than three minutes. Three players (ranged preferably) stand in the beams. This is where people tend to fail. LET THE STACKS GET TO 80. DBM will flash a huge warning when you hit the 80 stack marker. Step out of the beam (but stay close), let the stacks fall off, about ten seconds or so, then jump back in. And for the love of Pete, interrupt the fear! Plan it out before the pull if it helps.

for anyone wondering if shes soloable in MoP, she is. Just Soloed her on heroic and I can confirm that the glitch/LoS trick still works, though you might need to meet specific requirements. i475 Brewmaster monk btw. I stood on the ramp opposite of the entrance to the room and got close enough to her that I was able to use dizzying haze. As soon as I threw it, I rolled once, activated nitro boosts, and finished up my two rolls. I was able to get past the entrance of the room before she caught up. At the time one of the zealots evolved, but I kept running. I stopped at the bridge right before her room, and fought her there. None of the adds showed up and it turned into a really easy fight.

HC soloable as a frost DK 524 with army. DPS burst and luck that all zealots after evolve will focus on ghouls.

She should be soloable by just about any DPS class with SoO gear at this point. If you're a little short on DPS, Drums of Rage might help.

I've done it with a Destro lock (548 iLevel), DK (551) and Ret Pally (543). For the lock I just filled up on burning embers, then blasted her with Chaos Bolts and incinerated her the rest of the way down before the Zealots evolved.
With the DK I used Army, blew my other offensive cooldowns and again took her down before the Zealots were an issue.
For the pally, I didn't quite have enough DPS to kill her before the Zealots evolved but I had her under 1M by then so I just bubbled and finished her off before it expired.

Bwuahaha! I just solo'd this boss on Heroic and it took me fifteen deaths before I figured out how to do so for the achievement or otherwise. XD First time trying to explain something like this so go easy on me. x3

Basically what I had to do when I started the encounter is block one of the zealots from getting powered up (I started on the right side facing her). I let that tick halfway to 60/70 stacks then I switched to the zealot in the middle. I then let that tick me to the full amount and then got off of them and continued attacking boss.

When the other Zealot evolved, I killed the evolved Zealot. This, in turn, gave me only two other evolved zealots to deal with. I killed both of them (for the achievement) and then killed boss easy peasy after.

The trick with this was I did this on a Windwalker Monk so I managed to block the 60% health damage simply by placing Touch of Karma onto the boss. I also used the tier level 75 talent Dampen Harm which also helped. From there I just healed myself as needed using Expel Harm, Chi Burst, and a few Healing Spheres.

I did this on the first attempt of this strategy as well and I had a good 30% health left after the fight. :) For those not after the achievement, you can simply ignore the evolved zealot if you have the dps to solo her down quick enough. It took about another ten seconds after the first one evolved for the other two to join in.

I hope this helps some of you out there attempting the achievement or boss on solo. :)

You can easily put out enough DPS as of 5.4 to solo her on normal provided you have somewhat decent gear and are a DPS spec. I soloed her with my geared prot warrior before the adds even had 40 stacks, I'm sure DPS can probably solo her at much lower gear levels. Don't know about heroic, might try that later.
