I found Slumbertooth as a frontline pet at 43, 71 during a Superbloom in the Emerald Dream zone. Not sure if the superbloom is required to see the pet.

Superbloom does NOT need to be active to capture this pet.
Touch down at /way 44.41, 72.20, and kill all the critter versions around you.
Eventually, a capturable version will spawn.
Also check surrounding areas such as /way 50.13, 78.04

I finally found one.. after months. Caught it and was cleaning up the last pet when I got dragged into combat with a passing mob! How can that even happen? No captured pet registered. So annoyed right now.

I spent a little more than an hour farming this. There's two main areas (near each other) where you can find him and kill the critter ones, and a few in a third area by the sea in Summerjoy Shoal. Bonus though, Leyhart (another capturable pet) overlaps a bit with Slumbertooth and I was able to get him (also by killing the critter versions) in the first 20 minutes of farming Slumbertooth. The capturable Slumbertooth I got was uncommon, the capturable Leyhart was rare. I killed ones at all of the listed coordinates multiple times just flying around and around, but when the capturable one spawned it was at a location I had not killed a critter version (/way 43.44, 80.87).
