These guys are found in some pulls in Crypts.

Immune to all form of Crowd Control.

They are not immune to stuns.

I soloed these as Mace Combat Rogue for the felsteel plans.

They can be cheapshotted, macespec stunned and kidneyshotted.

Immune to gouge and blind (assume all disorients).

This is the only NPC in the game that drops Felsteel gloves recipe. There is a certain way to get the recipe and its soloable.

I got my Felsteel glove recipe on my 9th kill. You have to be a blacksmith for it to drop. When i started to farm this monk for the recipe i was a 359 blacksmith but it didnt drop. I came back as a 360-361 blacksmith and within 8 more tries i got the recipe and a major mana potion. The chances of dropping were higher than wowhead says so.

Keep in mind that you must be a blacksmith for the recipe to drop because its BoP.. It does not matter how high your skill in blacksmith is so don't worry. If you search for the recipe on wowhead there users who made a video on how to enter the instance and solo this guy without getting any aggro.

I did it as a lvl 70 Human Arms warrior on (Normal mode) I reset 9 times to get it. Just charge/thunderclap/ demo shout .. when non elite spawns. Attack the non elite click sweeping strikes and use cleave and whirlwind so you get 4 hits on each. Sweeping strikes cannot be dodged,parry ,etc so u will hit the elite monk everytime. Once the non elite dies, burn the monk down to 0 health and hope he drops the recipe. Hope this helps ;-)

I've been killing the monk for a long time now, but have yet to see the recipe drop. It is quite easy to solo it though, as a 70 prot warrior. Even easier if you bring a friend.

So I've just start farming for this pattern.And i have some question about it...
It's just the 1st monk that is soloable,right? Cause i tried to get the other monks but always got my ass kick :<
I'm a arms warrior with more than decent gear.

Since it hasn't been made absolutley clear ... the shown drop rate given by Wowhead is inacurate becuase if you do you have blacksmithing, you will not even see that the recipe dropped, and therefor won't send the info to the wowhead database

I'm a prot warrior with a few purples from Kara. I farmed the monk for an hour with a rogue friend. You can pull the first monk by yourself and kill him no problem. There are 3 sets of 1 monk 1 other guy past the solo mob. My rogue friend sapped the other guy and I taunted everything else while he killed the mobs. It worked pretty good. Only killed about 13 monks and no drop yet.

I killed 21 monks with my lvl 70 protection warrior for the Fel Steel Recipe but it still didn't drop. I hope I must kill only about 50 of them.. In AtlasLoot is the drop chance 0.69% so i hope the chance is better :D

I've been farming these guys for a while trying to get the Felsteel plans with no luck whatsoever. What I have noticed is that they drop items like runecloth and netherweave cloth, which isn't listed here. Any ideas?

Apparently there's a limit to how many times you can reset the instance within a certain period of time. I killed the monk about 5 times and then could not re-enter the instance. Got the message "you have entered too many instances recently"

Just got this from my first kill as Fury Warrior, soloed the first monk relatively easy, just popped sweeping strikes when the add came and was left with 30% hp, but i got decent fury gear(ssc/tk level) and was rather lucky with crits but i'd say it's rather easy to farm, from my experience at least.

24 attemps, no plans so far, 361 BS skill, though I don't think that has any bearing.

15 solo attempts, and now I'm working with 2 others to farm all of them up to the first boss.

Update: I'm up to 36 monks killed, and no pattern ... just in case anyone was ready to think it's only going to take one or two monks. :)

Of course, the guild member that inspired me to try this got it on the second monk.

In case anyone doesn't know, there are five different adds this mob can summon. One is a healer, one's kind of like a tank in that it doesn't do a huge amount but it has a lot of armor, one's kind of like a rogue, one's a dps caster, and there's my personal favorite, the Phantasmal Possessor, which has about 1k health. I'm not sure what the Possessor does, I'm a well-geared rogue and almost always 1-shot it, but it seems to only act as a distraction for the most part.
Happy hunting, just got my pattern after about 60 kills.

Does anyone know what robe model the female is wearing? I'm mainly interested in the bottom part, but the whole outfit is very attractive. Thanks.

Kurenai Kilt (alliance, Kurenai only)
Seems to be the closest match for the Kilt (leggings), same model but the colours dont match.

The Female ones wear the Wound Dressing shirt along with
such.

As for the Male-One's armwrappings i'm not sure.

It drives me crazy that these guys have a bottom that appears to exactly match the Soulcloth Vest (cloth), but the related kilt is leather.

I'm suspecting the 1% drop rate is accurate. I've run Auch 12 times and now drop yet. I've seen anywhere from 9-12 monks per run averaging about 11 per run. If that is accurate (and I remember statistics from 10 years ago correctly) there is about a 73.5% chance I would have had a drop in 12 runs. I guess I'm unlucky; we'll see how many it take.

Update: What started as a casual run through for a Blacksmithing recipe has now turned into being trapped in a never-ending loop that I feel I cannot escape. If this is long in the future and you have not heard of me I may not have survived. Currently I'm on my 26th run the Auchenai Crypts and I'm beginning to lose faith in the 1% statistic even after adjusting my average monks per run down to 10. If you have a priest character pray for my Paladin's soul. Fate has indicated this is not to be as I recently fell to my death in the Auchenai Crypt. How? I am uncertain, all I know is I fell through the floor to my death. I think this may be a way for the Old Gods to communicate their disfavor for my quest. This may be my last entry.
