BFA Leveling Hotfix - Creature Damage and Health Nerf

We've just applied a hotfix that reduces the damage dealt by creatures between level 1 and 100 by up to 16%, and their health by up to 24%. Until a subsequent fix (coming next week) to update clients with the new data, unit frames may not reflect the change in creature health, but combat should be faster and a bit less lethal across the board while leveling.

Thank you for your patience - we'll continue to monitor both logs and feedback closely, and will make further tweaks if needed.

The biggest issue is the lack of exp gain through the 60-80 bracket - essentially the travel time and slightly lesser quest experience just ramps up how long it takes.Comment by magus424Strange how they said "we don't want to just slap a bandaid on the problem without targeting the underlying cause", then slapping a bandaid on anyway.Comment by carminejackalHopefully this will make unlearning those bad habits gained in dungeons in the last few expacs more forgiving.Comment by InterestThis was to be expected. Keep in mind there were some pretty big issues last time a squish happened and they required numerous tuning passes to make the experience tolerable again. In this case, the situation was likely exacerbated by Blizzard trying to tune leveling in 7.3.5.

It's really not rocket science to tell if the numbers are too low or too high. I remember when they added the scaling in 7.3.5, i went on PTR and on live at the same time and on the same copied character (a lvl 33 or so feral druid) i fought the same level mobs in Duskwood and made a comparison video. The health differences were really noticeable.But they wanted to slow down killing stuff so i guess they got what they wanted. Anyway i have no reason to ever level another character, so at least that's the one advantage to having played for as long as some people have.Comment by ColdleoMight as well be an advertisement for a character boosts.
