Stats for 7.1 were: Crit >= Vers > Haste >= Mastery

In 7.1.5 this will change to:
(with tier) Crit = Mastery > Haste >= Vers

(without tier) Crit > Mastery > Haste >= Vers

As expected once we aquire our set bonus the value of Mastery increases due to the "free" crit we are getting on the 4pc bonus.

2pc Item - Demon Hunter T19 Vengeance 2P Bonus: Soul Cleave refunds 5 pain.
When you cast Soul Cleave, you immediately get 5 pain back. It doesn’t matter whether you cast a 30 pain Soul Cleave or 60 pain Soul Cleave.

4pc Item - Demon Hunter T19 Vengeance 4P Bonus: Soul Cleave reduces the remaining cooldown of Demon Spikes by up to 3 sec, based on pain spent.
At 60 pain it reduces your cd by 3 seconds. At 30 pain it reduces it by 1.5 seconds. Assuming you use this 1 time per Soul Cleave you will get roughly 20% uptime bump in Demon Spikes uptime. That is assuming 0 Haste. This will be a MUST have.

Stats for 7.1 Raid Survival were: Vers > Haste > Mastery > Crit

In 7.1.5 this has changed to:
(with tier) Mastery > Vers > Haste > Crit

(without tier) Vers > Haste = Mastery > Crit

Stats for 7.1 M+ Dungeons were: Mastery > Crit (DPS) = Vers (Survival) > Haste

In 7.1.5 M+ Survival changed to: Mastery > Vers >= Haste > Crit

Stats for 7.1 DPS: Crit >= Mastery/Vers >= Haste

In 7.1.5 changed to: Crit >= Versa >= Mastery >= Haste

Survival - Mastery to the point in which you do not need anymore DR on DS. Personal Preference. No ratios or percentages to hit.

DPS - All the stats scale off each other, DO NOT go 100% into each one. Follow the prio. No ratios or percentages to hit.

Ketsuki is trying something new out with our network of guide writers! We think it would be fun for them to write articles explaining some of the research and changes that go into their guides. Let us know if you find these articles useful and would like to see more :) It doesn't necessarily have to be about classes although we know that's a popular topic.(##RESPBREAK##)2##DELIM##perculia##DELIM##

Looking forward to hearing from some DK guide writers.

Guide better than dh changes >.>

Looking forward to the demonic eyebeam build. Dont care that chaos blades is suposedly optimal, if demonic plays a lot better with it.

I do like this idea. Im personally looking forward to the rest of classes if they will be done. Its much better breakdown than just reading the patch notes by themselves.

Well done! Would love to see this for my Shadow priest!

Comment by Qtvee

Love this idea! Good going guys!

The part explaining the changes with the buffs/nerfs explained is GREAT!
The snark/sarcasm added in to some of them..not so much.

One of the best articles I've seen on Wowhead recently. It has my thumbs up on the "really useful and would like to see more".

I like the idea of summing up each data point with a natural language response to it. Whether it's a tl;dr breakdown or a snarky opinionated response to how the change makes you feel, I like it. Sometimes we can't sit down an analyze a post and just want to get the jest of everything and move on. Summarizing, in addition to having all the raw info, seems like a excellent solution for both situations.

Summary: Please do summaries for everything from now on.

... to break down the Patch 7.1.5 changes in more detail so you are prepared for the upcoming patch!

I see what you did there ;)

So happy to have all this info in once place though, very handy!

Comment by Torom

That's a really nice idea, i hope you can get everyone of your writers to make one of these for their class guide.

Even as someone who has been keeping up with the PTR myself, I really appreciate this sort of summary.

Munkky's always been overly opinionated and has never taken criticism well.
