World of Warcraft: Chronicle Volume 1 is a journey through an age of myth and legend, a time long before the Horde and the Alliance came to be. This definitive tome of Warcraft history reveals untold stories about the birth of the cosmos, the rise of ancient empires, and the forces that shaped the world of Azeroth and its people.

This beautiful hardcover features twenty-five full-page paintings by World of Warcraft artist Peter Lee, as well as a cosmology chart, half a dozen maps charting changes through time, and other line art illustrations by Joseph Lacroix, and marks the first in a multipart series exploring the Warcraft universe; from the distant past to the modern era.

These glaives belong to the former demon hunter Vareids Felsoul, who was slain defending the Black Temple many years ago.

The Burning Legion's master, Kil'jaeden the Deceiver, raised Varedis in the Twisting Nether and imbued his glaives with a piece of the demon lord's chaotic power.

Making Arrangements

Warden Alturas says: Follow me. I shall open the cell for you.
Kayn says: If you would do the honors I will stand guard to ensure no one interferes.
Taldath the Destroyer: You dare stand before me after so many of your disgusting ilk have fallen? Release me now and I may yet spare you.
Warden Alturas says: Meet Taldath - one of the most powerful erefar we've ever encountered. I'm sure you two will be fast friends.
Remember, demon hunter - you were never here.
Taldath the Destroyer yells: FOOL! You dare stand against me alone?!
Varedis will hunter down everyone of your disgusting ilk - pity you won't be around to witness it.
Kayn says: Where is he?! Where is Varedis? Tell us or die.
Taladath says: Vermin! My lord wields power beyond your comprehension - he will be your end!
Your efforts mean NOTHING! Soon all of Suramar will bow to my master's will!
The Twinblades... will be your end...

Kayn says: Darksorrow and Ravencrest will have the honor to accompany you into Suramar. A small force will have the best chance of flying undetected into the hold.
Keep you wits about you. Varedis will be a cunning adversary.

Varedis Felsoul yells: It's been years... You should know better than to stand against me.
My master has granted me many gifts. Behold the power of the Deceiver!
Oh, Lyana... Illysanna... pity the had to die. But don't worry... I'll put their souls to good use!
I was Illidari once... left for dead at the Black Temple. Now you will witness the power of my new master!
Behold the infinite power of the Twinblades!
So, "Illidari", you seek my head, that you might take the Twinblades as your own? Allow me to introduce you to their power... personally.
Join me! Unleash your true power. Don not let the weak hold you back!
Behold the power of the Deceiver. Behold the full power of the demon within!
I am a GOD! KNEEL BEFORE ME!
I am through with this charade! Your soul will feed the Twinblades!
Ziluun says: It is not yet your time, Varedis.
Xirus says: Unleash the Twinblades and destroy the interloper!
Varedis yells: This is...not...over....

Demon Hunter animations seems top quality! Tho It seems like they are really quick (even more than monks).

Comment by hotaru251

no known 6th skin set for their weapon yet? sucks.

some of the animations are nice, others just seem odd.

really not gonna like fighting these guys in pvp as a caster.

Not really sure I would match a rogue-only, no longer obtainable pair of shoulders with a demon hunter artifact. But whatever floats your goat I guess.
I dont know why the sixth style wasn't included. Wowhead did datamine it a while ago in the very first batch of style six weapons.
And I love your animation series, keep it up! It is a great bite sized bit of Legion.
I wonder though, is there a high quality version of the model viewer somewhere? Ribbons, particles and transparency all work much better in your previews than when I go and look at it in the calculator or dressing room.

Comment by Monsoont

Now if only Outlaw Rogue's Killing Spree would behave similarly to Blade Dance... as in hitting from different directions for each hit instead of coming from directly behind only. But I might end up using Cannonball Barrage anyway.

*nods*

I'm lovin the DH stuff.... I have to agree with OP, .... the attacks seems far too quick - à la Monk.

Comment by Manioss

Oh it's sucks so hard that I'm livin in Poland and it's so hard to get this books :/

Comment by Atratzu

That's some smooth animation, I like the weapons too. I really think I'm going to like playing as Demon Hunter.

Comment by Palor

Does anyone know about discounts for pre-ordering these books in Canada?

Comment by Kjflood

Interesting animations , very nicely polished at this point.
They seem to be a mix of slightly altered Rogue and Hunter like animations, I like the DH ones better though...coming from a Main Rogue...that says a lot about how the DH is looking I think.

Great stuff, can't wait to ALT one.

Neither. We haven't showcased prot warriors yet. We've only done 10 videos showcasing animations so far.

There's over 36 specs in the game. Be a little more patient ;)

this is outrageous! Those swords for the film aren't nearly large enough! They need to be so large it looks like a steel guerder not a sword! JUST OUTRAGEOUS!

Comment by Braonain

I think that the Fellowship Erruption talent animation should resemble more of a spike from the Fel Lord Zakun fight than a reused shaman earth spike. I think it's a big missed opportunity there.

A lot of the animations are works in progress. Its possible the animation will be altered later on. Specially since this is a new class, and traditionally, new classes get exclusive animations that are unique to them (Look at how monks for example, have unique animations to them for everything, from casting to auto-attacking)
