Titan's Grip: Allows you to dual-wield a pair of two-handed weapons.

So wait, can I now finally dual-wield anything two-handed? (eg. 2 x Bo-Ris, Horror in the Night?

Hope so.

That's not new audio is it? I swear I remember it...

Comment by Nexsa

Deathwing's back! Nah, isn't that stuff he says while you're fighting him?

Comment by Shoddythetroll

When I heard Deathwing's lines sounded familiar, I had to double check the Deathwing audio between the one listed above and the Dragon Soul version. The lines are identical and they sound almost the same.

Pretty sure the Deathwing audio is what he says during Spine, just being re-used.

Comment by perculia

The sound files are new to this build, and have the usual names for new 5.3 files--it's possible that there's a flashback that involves Wrathion and Deathwing.

It's possible that there's a flashback that involves Wrathion and Deathwing.

Almost certain that this is the case. Haven't we already heard audio of Wrathion saying things like 'Father, please! Don't make me do this!'? If I had to call it I'd say that during the trials of the four celestials (which is 5.3's legendary chain) Wrathion struggles with his own true nature as a black dragon, teetering on the edge of becoming corrupted the way his father did. I'd say it's a safe bet that these audio snippets will play out then.

Blessing of Might: '"Places a Blessing on the friendly target, increasing mastery by 0"

wooohooooo, can't wait to get this buff!

So healers will get 240k mana instead of 300k in 5.3? Seems a bit odd...

Comment by FoxKelfonne

Maybe they're boosting everyone else up to 100k? It does seem odd that they would suddenly cut mana pools like that, although either way you look at it, it's bad news for healers.
If they cut us to 240k, then we have 60k less to heal with. If they raise base mana to 100k, then all of our healing spells will cost more, effectively lowering our mana..

...maybe it's just datamined garbage?

So, more mage buffs...

The audio for the tank and healer challenges of the Celestials indicates that you'll have to defend slash heal Wrathion against an apparition of his father.

It's interesting to me the diversity of opinions about whatever buffs/nerfs come along. Presumably because WoW is so broad that different people have entirely different experiences with it. To me, the mage buffs of late make sense.

I realize mages are already high on dps charts, and apparently they're really good in PvP (I don't play PvP), but mages ought to get something for being so brittle. One of the main things I like to do in WoW is solo old dungeons and raids, but I understand mages are arguably the most difficult class to do that with, because they don't hold up well when they've got aggro, and their self-healing abilities are limited. In those contexts, a little more DPS (not even on the strongest attack spells) doesn't seem out of line.

But it all depends on what you do with the game, I guess.

Never mind, I see the tool-tip still has it saying "Cannot be combined with..." It got my hopes up.

It's grey text, that it means it was removed from the tooltip. Have fun with polearms.

Clearly, the buffs are to our AoE rotation... something that has been kinda lapking since MoP released.

And I agree, we are very brittle and are simply not at all strong in self healing. I watched a DK solo a Warbringer, self healing 100-200 HP every 10 seconds or so. He self healed about a dozen times before he got them Warbringer to even half his HP. We simply can't do that.

And I'll reserve judgement on Flamestrike until I see it in action... right now, it's 100% useless (right now, it's great for dispatching 20s, everything else it just tickles, AND you have to wait 2 seconds for even that to happen)... even Blizzard is MUCH better.

The Titans Grip in the PTR that was jusr released removed the section about it only being applicable to axes, maces, and swords. SO PROBABLY! :D
(Note: Uroe, Harbinger of Terror duel wield all the way!)

Spell Changes
-Aspect of the Hawk: The Hunter takes on the aspects of a hawk, increasing ranged attack power by ~~15%~~ 25%. Only one Aspect can be active at a time.
Talents and Specialization
-Aspect of the Iron Hawk: The Hunter takes on the aspects of an iron hawk, increasing ranged attack power by ~~15%~~ 25%, and reducing all damage taken by 15%. Only one Aspect can be active at a time. Replaces Aspect of the Hawk.
-Blink Strikes: ~~Causes your pet to instantly teleport behind an enemy target up to 40 yards away from your pet and inflict 600% normal damage.~~ Your pet's Basic Attacks deal 50% increased damage, can now be used from 30 yards away, and will instantly teleport them behind their target.
-Powershot: You wind up a powerful shot, which deals ~~800%~~ 600% weapon damage to the target and ~~400%~~ 300% weapon damage to all enemies in between you and the target. Enemies hit by Powershot are also knocked back.
-Beast Cleave: After you Multi-Shot, your pet's melee attacks also strike all other nearby enemy targets for ~~30%~~ 75% as much for the next 4 sec.
-Bombardment: Your critical hits with Multi-Shot cause your Multi-Shot to cost 20 less Focus and cause ~~30%~~ 60% additional damage for 5 sec.

All of these changes... I like them...
ANOTHER!
minus the Power Shot change, i never really cared for it though. Im also wondering about that Blink Strike change...

Comment by Reebs

So um...what's up with the hybrid classes/healers getting their mana pools reduced from 400% to 300%?

Is this affecting mages/locks too as a rebalancing thing or what?

Glad I'm not the only one delighted by the idea of dual wielding polearms.
