Dont know in which build/patch this was added, or for how long its gonna last. But as for now, Crimson Pandaren Phoenix will just appear under your Mounts and Pets.
Same goes for the 2 new rocket mount, Depleted-Kyparium Rocket and Geosynchronous World Spinner.

What a nice looking mount, I really like how this looks like a real bird (Cannot stand hippogryph skins) and that they actually did no go with the glow effect of the other pheonix mounts already in game. This might just be my new favorite mount when Pandaria gets here.

So far on beta, you will be rewarded one the the phoenixes for completing challenge modes. 1 for bronze, another for silver and transmog gear for gold.

This can however get changed since we are still in beta.

How can no one else have noticed this... unlike ashes of alar or the guild pheonix.... this mount has FEET.

Ashes and Dark Pheonix always seemed a bit like flying rubber ducks to me.

Obtained via trading in an Ancestral Phoenix Egg (which is obtained via challenge mode dungeon achievement: Challenge Conqueror: Silver).

Other colors you can also choose from are Violet and Emerald and Ashen.

At the moment it looks like it's only possible to pick one color, so choose wisely!

The Pandaren Phoenixes are designed after the Chinese phoenix, also known as the Fenghuang (wikipedia). The most striking features of the bird are its peacock tail, crane legs, and feathers of multiple colours (black, white, red, blue, yellow).

It's a shame they didn't go with the three-legged version though; now that would be a unique mount.

While WoWhead says these are "account wide mounts" they are actually NOT account wide. You can get one color on each character that completes the achievement, but you will not be able to have all colors on any character.

A slight drawback to this mount, in my opinion, is the fact that many toons don't sit in the actual saddle! They sit on the very edge, or in some cases behind the saddle which makes it look as if the toon sits on the tailfeathers! Not good, hopefully will get fixed!

Other than that it's a gorgeous mount, and as far as I can tell the only phoenix that turns its head around! And its "singing" is absolutely beautiful! I cannot wait to see what they'll conjure up for future challenge mode mounts!

The mount you purchase with the egg will be returnable for 2 hours so as long as you don't learn the mount you will be able to pick a different color.

Blizzard notification on the Phoenix mounts come WoD:

"The Pandaren Phoenix mounts awarded for a full set of Silver medals will become account-wide. If any character on an account has earned a full set of Silver medals, all four variants of the Pandaren Phoenix (Crimson, Ashen, Violet, and Emerald) will become available to all characters account-wide."

U get this by getting "Ancestral Phoenix Egg" and this egg you can get from "Challenge Conqueror: Silver" (complete all chalenges on silver or higher)

Come WoD, you can purchase all Phoenixes that you do NOT have for 1k each, providing that you can purchase them.
