And now we see why the Hydraxian Waterlords hate Ragnaros so much. It's nothing to do with serving the Old Gods, just that the Waterlords' quintessence has the incredible power to put out fires, and the Fiery Quintessence buffs you for more intellect than a vanilla mage had on all his gear combined.

If you use it every 90 sec's that would be 319 int, less than on ilvl 359 trinkets. On use intellect is usually worse than a set amount though you could save it for mana tides or druids for innervates, and maybe encounters that come down to predictable bursts of damage. Won't use it every 90s that way though and mana is less of an issue as an expansion progresses, even if they are nerfing innervate. And the spirit on it is less than many ilvl 359's as well!

Its probably something super easy to get and for people just starting out. So you can get it without spending time gearing through the old tier of instances. Maybe its the new valor pt trinket, that would make some sense. Then look how popular mandala of strings is now and it doesn't even cost vp. And of course, core of ripeness might have about the same value and it will be worth justice pts when 4.2 hits, but Blizzard always like to put in items that sucker new players. Take the tanking cloak for example. A new player who doesn't know how to look stuff up yet can waste hours of work spent accumulating that vp, not realizing there's a free one from rep that's a better choice.

Hey hey hey. The int may be crappy, but its long and the cd is perfect. I have been looking far and wide for a 1,5min with good stats. In a Boomkin rotation u would use your trinket on each solar eclypse, but 1mins and 2mins trinkets dont fit in it.
The spirit is great (though i might reforge some of it to haste because now i wil almost drown in hit) and the int last enough to cast sunfire, insect swarm, get the energy close to 0, recast sunfire and insect swarm and still got more int for several more spells, idk, is it possible to reach a lunar eclypse moonfire too? This is a relaxing rotation trinket rather than on Darmoon Card: Volcano where i have to look for the buff and time my spells to it (though for innervate, darkmoon is better, though with the innervate changes u most likely wont hand it out again)

All in all to end my short speach. I as a Boomkin has prayed for a item like this (though its longer and less than i was expecting) and my prayer was answered.

If I use this trinket at full mana, will my spells eat mana from the intellect bonus or my own ordinary mana bar? I am a bit confused at the moment and any known information about temporary mana increase would be awsome.

As a holy paladin with engineering, I have to say this is about one the worst trinkets around.

I was willing to give it a try, in spite of it looking so bad, and paired it up with Eye of Blazing Power, replacing my DMC:Tsunami.
The spirit, is barely felt in the mp5 (Guess mostly since the spirit of DMC:T is approx the same as this one's static).
The procc, shares cooldown with pretty much everything, the reason I wanted to give it a try was Synapse Springs + This + Divine Plea, to make up for the missing static intellect.
They can't be active at the same time though, and with Fiery Quintessence > DMC:T, my mana is jumping like a damn yoyo instead of steadily go down, get up with Plea, then steadily down again.

TL;DR: Paladins, don't get this unless you have nothing to pair up with Divine Plea. It's a powerful emergency mana regen with plea if you don't have access to other int-proccs, but that's it.

EDIT: I've tried replacing Eye of Blazing Power at some fights instead, and doing this increases mana regen quite a lot, it could actually be worth to have for certain fights where you want regen over throughput.

If you use this trinket on every CD (e.g., if you macro it to another ability you use constantly) it averages out to be 319 intellect.

This trinket may end up being an excellent option for shadow priests; the cooldown lines up exactly with Dark Archangel; using a macro to use the trinket, then DAA would result in both a large intellect boost to your already increased damage, as well as increased mana regen with Archangel by having the extra intellect first.

Would a druid be able to use this trinket, then pop a volcanic potion, then innervate? If so it would add about 2300 int to our innervating pool.

from a shadowpriest point of view this is supperior to Rune of Zeth since you can time this perfectly with Archangel

edit: why downvotes? they both have same average INT gain of 319 but different cooldowns so the only difference betwen them is the on active effect fits you better.. and it just fits like a glove with Archangel.

Am I the only one who thinks the rep trinkets have poor stats for an 378 level item? I mean Tsunami has better 'average' intellect and gives more spirit and is 1,5 tier below this.

As a holy priest, I bought this last night. Unsure if I would use it since I would rather have an Int trinket then a spirit trinket, but I bought it anyways just to test things. I must say I really do enjoy this as the cooldown is rather short and the on use is longer then most trinkets. Its a huge chunk of Intellect and it comes in handy often. Very happy with it. Would i use it all the time, not sure but its great to have in my bags when I need it.

Are there any Disc priests using it? Obviously spirit isn't a wonderful stat for Discos but I imagine that it would act as a massive regen tool when used with rapture and/or 'fiend and HoH. Obviously Rapture is the more important thing here because with a 1:30 cooldown and 25 second uptime you'll be seeing increased rapture procs between 6 and 12 times per fight, (providing you're using PW:S correctly for rapture regen.)
Anyone got any hard maths or experience with it?

Yes I use this on my disc priest; macro'd in with arch-angel + penance. It works great. Besides the temporary healing boost, the increase to maximum mana is huge regen for disc (rapure, shadowfiend, restore buff, AA, etc). Also if the raid situation actually allows for all 5 stacks of evangelism, penance for a quick 3x grace stack -> inner focus ->GH...watch out, freaking 120k+ crit heals plus the free DA shield...and actually GAIN a ton of mana while doing it.

I would rather have an intelect trinket as reward from AoH. Mana issues isn't problem for me as holy paladin when I judging on cd, using divine plea and spirit use boost from Core of Ripeness.

So, although I am able to buy this one I am still using Core of Ripeness and Darkmoon Card: Tsunami

It's not a horrible trinket, but for a healer, who ideally needs spirit a little more than you cheating spirit to hit converters (I kid because I care), by the time you get to revered, you probably don't need this trinket.

Darkmoon Card: Tsunami is still probably BIS, and I prefer one of these two drops Eye of Blazing Power or preferrably Jaws of Defeat over either rep trinket, and pretty fairly obtainable before hitting revered.
