This bow can be useful for Viscidus in AQ40 if your group doesn't have many frost damage sources.

The bow is a valid source for transmogrification, meaning you can apply its look to other ranged weapons. The game will state it would be made soulbound, but this is not the case.

self-plug: Will It Mog? displays transmogrification options on respective items (everything of uncommon quality or above, and any white item that is at a transmog source)

Hunters, get this bow and at level 90 you can easily solo Viscidus in AQ 40. I just did it today. YAY! ;o)

I can without a doubt confirm that this (and Brunnhildar Harpoon) are transmoggable, my warrior and hunter have successfully done so. And it does not bind it to you like the message says as this is unbinding and not BoE.

I'm surprised I haven't seen this commented on... the frost damage addition to this bow has actually been /greatly/ reduced. I just got it on my 90 hunter. Instead of inflicting 174 frost damage, it now inflicts about 5.

Anyone looking for this bow, and can't get the NPC to sell it to you cos they're red; You have to do only the first 3 steps of the They Took Our Men! chain. Once you're disguised you can go to the vendor and buy the bow without having to complete the remaining 13 steps. Oh and BTW the first quest in the chain is not in the cave, it's in the village above the mountain.

Since 8.0.1 the Brunnhildar items are BOP, so instead of getting them on AH, you have to do the damn questline. Questline starts at K3, with Gretchen Fizzlespark and the quest They Took Our Men!. You don't have to get the other quest from her but you'll have to come back to her after doing the aforementioned one and do another one and then a couple near the Brunnhildar Village, after A Change of Scenery quest, you can buy all that stuff you need to kill Viscidus:).

Fellow rogues, don't be fooled. You can equip bows BUT you can't use them.

~~Darthdavo suggested Glacial Blade as an alternative on the Viscidus page, assuming that's who you're going after.~~

I've tried both Glacial Blade and Coldrage Dagger against Viscidus with no luck.

Use Enchant Weapon - Elemental Force as recommended by Brand.
