In case you were curious like I was, the red text "Requires Tailoring (700)" does not prevent you from learning this pattern OR crafting the mount. You will be unable learn the mount until you reach level 700. These are one of the cheapest 10 levels you'll find when trying to get to 700.

Since I didn't see it here, I've compiled some information on collecting all of the flying carpets. This is useful for everyone, but especially if you are leveling tailoring only for these mounts!

There are 4 carpets currently in game (as of 6.2.2) and they all qualify as separate mounts. Only the Flying Carpet is not Bind on Pickup, and can be sold on the Auction House or traded. Magnificent Flying Carpet, Frosty Flying Carpet and Creeping Carpet are all BoP.

Here are some notes about these mounts:

Expert Riding is required to learn the Flying Carpet. This costs 250g, with reputation discounts to a minimum of 200g at Exalted.
Artisan Riding is required to learn Magnificent Flying Carpet, Frosty Flying Carpet and Creeping Carpet. This costs 5000g, with reputation discounts to a minimum of 4000g at Exalted.
Flying Carpet, Magnificent Flying Carpet and Frosty Flying Carpet are flying mounts, while Creeping Carpet is a ground mount.
Once learned, the mounts will remain a part of your collection and will count towards mount achievements like Lord of the Reins. Even if professions are later switched, the mounts remain in your collection - you just won't be able to use them without Tailoring.

NOTE: The tooltip for Creeping Carpet indicates Tailoring (300) required to ride it, when it fact it is a skill level of 700).

NOTE: The Creeping Carpet would require minimum level 90 simply because that is the lowest possible level to reach 700 skill in Tailoring

The level of riding required to ride the carpet.

Creeping Carpet	Pattern: Creeping Carpet sold in the garrison Tailoring Emporium by Warra the Weaver (H)/Christopher Macdonald (A) or in Warspear (Petir Starocean)/Stormshield (Steven Cochrane). The cost for the pattern is 5 X Secret of Draenor Tailoring.	100 X Hexweave Cloth 20 X Sorcerous Air	1	700	90	Artisan

In summary, to learn all four mounts (i.e. add them to your mount collection), you need the following:

Materials for all 4 carpets.
Artisan Riding.
A Level 90 Character.
Tailoring at skill level 700.

Below is a breakdown of crafted mounts. Note that "profession specific" mounts are those for which either having the profession or using the profession (e.g. Fishing, Archaeology) is REQUIRED to learn the mount. Non-profession specific mounts are those where the profession is not required to learn them - either non-soulbound mounts that everyone can use, like Vial of the Sands, or mounts available from other sources, like Riding Turtle.

Quick numbers:

7 total professions (5 primary, 2 secondary) are required to get all profession specific mounts
10 crafted mounts are usable by anyone, and are typically available on the Auction House
Only 4 professions have no associated mounts - Inscription, and the 3 gathering professions
All 6 new Legion mounts are profession specific

This pattern costs 5 Secret of Draenor Tailoring, which can be created only ONCE per day.

This pattern can be learned from Steven Cochrane in Stormshield, or Petir Starocean in Warspear.

I'm posting this because it was a little hard to find this information without having to scroll and read a bunch, just trying to make it easier for anyone who comes through.

So weird, text said "Already Known" But tailoring log said unlearned. I was able to purchase it and learn it even with it marked as already known.
