No idea why Blizz insist on reps being mega grind fests, its not fun to grind, never was never will be.

Grinding this reputation is necessary if you want to unlock flight in Draenor. Think Shao Hao grinding in groups.

At least at the onset of Tanaan venturing there will be no shortage of groups wanting the same thing.

It still doesn't justify the means. I don't know anyone who enjoys repeatedly killing the same mobs over and over.

Looking forward to each and every one of these Daily and weekly quest. I prefer the traditional daily method of gaining rep over the current apexis runs any day of the week. As far as kill rep is concerned it depends on the difficulty level and i suspect that will be a lfg hot item until the majority have moved on. I hope these mobs will be reasonable to solo as well.Having flying back as well as access to new mounts, pets and vanity items is plenty justifying imo.

The absolute best spot to farm this is nearby Soulslicer, at around 62, 72. The mobs respawn almost instantaneously.

Joined up with a full group via the group finder, and within two hours I got from Honored to Revered. If you farm here with other people, make sure to get nine stacks of Fel Sludge from the green pool, which will increase your damage by 45% and provide a massive boost to your farming!

As others have said, the best place to farm is at the Soulslicer. Get a group of 5 people, preferably 4 dps and a tank, or 4 dps and a disc priest for atonement. Mobs spawn really quick, and the Soulslicer spawns every 30 minutes for 500 reputation. You will get to Revered in 2-2.5 hours.

Exact respawn timer of the 4 rare elites that gives 500 rep each : 30 MINUTES! Not 29, not 31, exactly 30, so form your group and put your timer on to get exalted in just 2 hours :D

Now that Blizzard Hotfixed the insta respawn spot to get rep this path seems like the fastest. i am including waypoints for tomtom below, there are 3 rares and 1 quest mob on path that give 600+ rep (depending on bonuses) dont forget to bring your banner. I also marked where you can get the 45% fel buff on the path by jumping in fel water. Im just going to use the rep merchant as starting point.

I hit Exalted and collected just over 1000 Blackfang Claw in the process.

I am hoping to get both mounts and the pet so that'll be like doing the rep grind about 6.5 more times.

The Rep should be harder to collect than the currency imo - but it is what it is.

Grinding to exalted seems to reward a significantly smaller number of Blackfang Claw then needed to get all of the items of the vendor, with most reporting between 500 and a 1000 claws untill exalted. It would make sense if it was a sologrind, as you could expect up to five times more claws, but the entire zone is designed (as well as the elite mobs that can be hard to impossible to solo for some classes/specs) for groups, so that is rather odd.

I guess blizzard doesn't want us to leave tanaan for a while.

As of 6/26/15 Saberstalker Teachings: Trailblazer seems to be bugged many users are not getting the buff even after purchasing and using the item.

Went from neutral to revered in about 2 hours as a human with the Diplomacy racial. The "Rumble in the Jungle" quest gave a little under 5k exp. Most rares gave about 650 with 32-33 per kill otherwise.

Did some grinding with two mages and a warlock (spriest here) and the mobs were spread out enough not to be annoying, pulls went fairly quickly, spawn rate was good, and I only had to spot heal here and there. No real need for a dedicated healer, unless you're planning on having a tank pulling half the zone...

Not the worst grind... *thinks of Timbermaw during classic* ....

This is the one that ruins any hope of ever flying in Draenor for solo players. I managed to kill two mobs here (one at a time, of course) by popping all my cooldowns and doing everything I could not to die. I am now, according to Wowhead, 0.2% of the way to Revered. Only 99.8% to go!

I thought it was the rep that people were going to say is a grind, until I actually put in the effort to get to revered so that I'm ready for the reintroduction of flying. With a good group you can knock it over in a few hours and get a bunch of claws in the process. I had such a group - and using track humanoids, dash, stampeding roar, and going area to area - we smashed things down, bringing our reinforcements (airstrikes, mechashredders) on the bigger pulls. It was actually quite fun for a while.

But the grind is the CLAWS. In my session going from friendly to Revered, I gathered 672 claws. But don't expect that amount of claws to actually get you anything worthwhile - the first boar is 1000 claws, the pet 1500, and the other mount 5000.

That's absolutely insane. If I want all of those items, I'm going to have repeat that ten times! What?

What are the designers thinking when they put this kind of content in? Are they trying to engage the player and keep them entertained... or merely just keep them occupied for as long as possible without regard to whether the player is actually having any fun?

The traiblaster buff (15% additional mount speed) will make rep grinding for the other factions a good bit easier.

As a Mage its quite profitable to only go for the Blackfang Shaman if youre solo'ing, both spells which are cast by the mob are transferred to you with Spellsteal

the spells are :

- Regrowth
- Rock Skin

Also go for the patrols , sheep the mob next to the shaman, and let the shaman advance ( out of range of it) , then pull it, and you'll only have to deal with him, the sheeped one wont be aggo'ed this way.

Not sure why everyone is making a big deal about this grind. Personally, after the first few months of a new expac, I get incredibly bored. I take a yearly hiatus because I can't stand the thought of logging in to do nothing, with no end goal. Rep farming, or farming an item in order to collect a mount or pet, makes me keep logging in. I love rep grinds because it gives me something to do.

Here's to hoping the next expansion provides more to do after the first 3 months.

Guide's crap, doesn't say how to open the faction. How about we just go back to the way it was when you could see the quest chains in their order and know exactly where you are and what you need to do to get it, without having the genius of the day writing a "guide" to do things that Wowhead should normally show, such as sequences in a quest and location of NPC's.

If you don't want to join a group because ~~you're terrible like me~~ just can't be dealing with it, the mobs needed for the weekly Rumble in the Jungle work like other rares and thus lurking in the arena until someone else comes along and summons them is probably your best bet if you're having trouble soloing.

It'll take you a while to get to revered cos it's only weekly, but very little time to do it each week.

Edit- more tips from the terrible. You can get right up to the arena via the back way. There's a little path up from the beach at 53 88. No elite mobs spotted though it's possible someone had just blazed through.

Although I truly love WOW and do plan on getting expansion. I feel they do not think of players like me when they make these challenges. You see, I am a solitary player. Only occasionally do I play with other guild members. So I have no group, no teams, and most of the challenges for flying are impossible for players like me to achieve. I wish more thought would have been put into the challenges.

i find that these quest's in Draenor are boring and tedious and should only be done one time then move on to new quest. Draenor is just not that most exciting place to do quest !

A good thing to know is that the regular mobs wont drop Baleful tokens, like the elites in throne of kiljaeden do (only the rares do, as usual). So if you're thinking about both earning rep and claws at the same time when you're hoping to gear up with the tokens, it ain't gonna happen. =/

My biggest complaint with Saberstalkers is that you need to pay Blackfang Claws for the challenge totems for Rumble in the Jungle to get more rep with them.

Once I got flying and started thinking about the rep rewards, I realised I had always been the one paying for the totems (I prized rep more at the start when getting Rumble groups). Getting more Blackfang Claw is a bit annoying. Thankfully there's usually a few groups doing rep in LFG, it's just properly slow going.

For the weekly, if you just stand around the arena for a few minutes you will generally find a 110 that will come along to do it. If you have totems you can be kind and use them up as they are helping you, or you can just tag the mob and still gain progress.

I'm sitting at 100 without legion and it has taken me a couple of minutes to do this quest each time.

As someone who does a lot of old content rep grinds above level, I found this one of the easiest to complete returning to it as a 110. Though I had a few thousand points of rep under my belt from Medallions of the Legion, it still only took me a few days of very light grinding to get exalted and both mounts. While I don't yet have the pet, farming 1k claws at level 110 will easily take you less than an hour. If you want to pad out your mount collection more or collect the tabards, this is one of the more painless ways to do it.

If you are here because you want revered for Draenor flying you can do this super quick. I started and finished this to revered in just under 2 hours. Just put on Netflix and you'll be done before you know it. If you can get a group together, makes things even faster. I also recommend doing this on a hunter or other ranged with instant cast abilities.

Build yourself a rank 3 Trading post, makes things go much faster. I would imagine this being a cake walk if you are Human and it was Darkmoon faire week.

The four rare elites are on a 30-minute respawn timer and grant the rep every time they're killed.
