Gear and Honor Rewards (7.1)

The quality of items rewarded from skirmish and random battlegrounds now increases based on the player's Honor Level.

Every Battleground victory will reward gear, while losses have a chance to reward gear. Skirmishes and Arena victories are not a guaranteed chance, but they will have an increased chance in 7.1.

Players will no longer receive a bonus piece of gear based on their rating for the ﬁrst two wins in each rated bracket (2v2. 3v3, 10v10).

Players will now receive a bonus piece of gear based on their best rating from the previous week for each rated bracket (2v2, 3v3, 10v10).

First victory of the day will reward a large Artifact Power bonus.

First victory for all PvP activities will reward double the expected Honor reward.

Combantant PvP gear comes in blue and red recolors of Legion crafted armor.

Gladiator PvP gear is a recolor of Tier 19 gear with separate tints for Alliance, Horde and Elite.

ok so the article says I will NOT lose my honor talents but in game i just clicked it and it warns me that i WILL lose all my honor talents. Can someone please confirm before I lose all my talents lol. Thank.

Edit: ok it states 7.1 which isnt realeased yet. So i should wait to prestige?

So Just to be clear we are getting 1 set for normal players and 1 set for elite (recolor based on rating?)

I got 1 from a world quest without a rating but have got none from battlegrounds. I hope can get the full set and it was not a bug.

Is it explained anywhere how Elite gear is obtained this season? Do the requirements include a rating? Are they arena only? The WoW forums has some posters saying something has changed in how they are awarded, but it's not obvious what, and the official note lacks specifics.

For the record, non-rated arena award 100 honor per win, non-rated BH award 300 honor while rated aren award 125 honor per win and 50 per defeat plus a bonus based on your rating wether you win or lose (there are no difference between 2v2 and 3v3), RBG gives you 400 honor per win.
This is really disapointing. I mean there is no big difference between rated and non rated (from an honor grinding point of view) !

World Quests have a 6h timer and 4 are available every 6h.
3 "tower quests" which requires you to kill an elite and 12 regular mobs (in Tornheim, Highmountain and Val'sharar). Each quest reward you with 300 honor
A random "arena quest" which requires you to kill mobs (located in one of the 4 starting zones) which award 500 honor.

So IMO, the best way to farm honor is :
- hitting the WQ evey 6h
- farming 2v2 arenas. Wether you go for rated or not does not do much of a difference...

But you wanna hit at least once a week one 2v2 and one 3v3 rated arena as they both provide an epic chest with interesting gear (840+)

EDIT : patched yesterday : the amount of honor has been significantly reduced !
-Tower WQ now award 150 honor instead of 300 (as of today, the arena quest still award 500 honor)
-first unrated BG win every day : 300 honor (150 then). You get honor for kills and progression through the BG. Dunno about RBG
-first rated arena win every day award 250 honor, 125 then + bonus based on your ranking. Unrated arena always award 100 honor per win

EDIT EDIT : seems like Blibli is still tuning pvp. Last update :
-tower WQ award 300 honor, 3 are available every 24h. Arena WQ still awards 500 honor and is on a 6h base (so 4 of them a day) still remains the more efficient way to grind honor. However, limited due to the long repop.
-BG : no changes second best option to farm (also taking into account that you get the kills for your hidden artifact weapon and other achiev)
-Arena : no changes, rated or not it is only interesting during the bonus week (such as this week ;) )

Since I'm new to Wow, this is my first ever pvp season, and I couldn't find anything informative enough on the web..
When does the current season end? And how do the rewards go? I've managed scoring some rating at 2v2 (RBG are too elitist to accept noobs - so no chance there).. When will I be rewarded for it?
Have Bliz published a table which associates ilvl with the rating I achieve?

This needs to be updated. Patron of War is not a title earned through PvP. It was a title awarded to people who watched the World of Warcraft 2016 championship on twitch.

I'm really looking too push some high ratings this expansion and i was wondering what class allows me to do that im looking for a plate melee or a warlock i just love their fantasy any help?

Important point to mention, as for 7.1 (meaning today for US and tomorrow for EU), going prestige DO NOT reset your pvp talents. Instead, each honor level that rewarded you PVP talents will now reward something else (apparently gold, AP and gear)

Question is : will the one already prestige 2, 3 or 4 get anything or are they screwed?...

Can someone confirm, that post 7.1 you can still get non-Elite T19 lookalikes (Gladiator) from BG/World-Quests?

So far I only got those pieces that look like the crafting sets...which is a bit disapointing.

Got Honor-Level 27 and done some BGs (like 7-8) and doing like 4-5 PvP daily worldquests (depends howmany are available)

Same for my Paladin, where I got the gladiators belt pre 7.1 from a worldquest at Honor-Level 21 and still got no new worldquests like this so far...its just a bit to much RNG for my liking.

Okay, so this might sound like a stupid question, but I've never PvPed before and I wanted to know if I could get all the courser mounts on one character. The rewards say that with each new season is a new color, so will I have to wait for a specific season in order to get the color variation I wanted and only be able to keep that one?

man pvp gear sucks in legion. 840, seriously? Better off pvping in my 880 raid gear since items do not scale down anymore.

One thing to note, it seems that now when you reach Honor level 50 your Honor is reset and your Prestige incremented automatically. It no longer seems to be optional. So therefore rewards that were originally, say, "Prestige 3 + 50 Honor levels" are now in practice Prestige 4.

This chart is inaccurate when you hit prestige 4 you get the mount but there is no title. There was a bug which gave you the title then took it away.
Prestige 4 is Courser Mount reward
Prestige 5 is The Honorable title and a new skin for your weapon and at P4 level 49 you also get 2k gold.
