Molten Corgi is an adorable pet you get for WoW's 10th Anniversary. This is really simple, just log in between November 21st and January 6th.

It has the abilities Bark, Superbark, Puppies of the Flame, Flamethrower, Cauterize, Inferno Herding

Hatespark the Tiny has the chance to be rewarded when completing Molten Core LFR.

It has the abilities Blast of Hatred, Conflagrate, Flamethrower, Deep Burn, Cauterize, Armageddon

Molten CoreMolten Core provided many WoW players with their first taste of WoW raiding. For the anniversary celebration, max-level players will be able to participate in a special 40-player Raid Finder version to relive the experience of hunting down Ragnaros and his minions within his fiery lair. LucifronAbilities

Impending Doom: Inflicts 100000 Shadow damage to nearby enemies after 10 sec.

Lucifron's Curse: Curses nearby enemies, increasing the costs of their spells and abilities by 100% for 5 min. This cost increase applies to all spells and abilities, whether they cost mana, rage, or energy.

Shadow Shock: Instantly lashes an enemy with dark magic, inflicting Shadow damage.

Strategy

Kill the two Flamewaker Protector adds first, who cast Dominate Mind. This is a Magic effect that can be removed.

Once Lucifron is being focused, remove the Magic effect Impending Doom before it damages part of the raid and the curse Lucifron's Curse so your raid’s damage doesn’t suffer.

MagmadarAbilities

Panic: Panics nearby enemies, causing them to flee in fear for 8 sec.

Magma Spit: Spews Fire damage at the target, dealing 7500 Fire damage every 3 sec.

Lava Bomb: Throws a Lava Bomb at an enemy, inflicting 5760 Fire damage over 8 sec..

Enrage: Magmadar will buff himself, increases his Attack Speed by 150%.

Strategy

The Ancient Core Hound packs before Magmadar much all be killed at the same time, and continuously AoE'd even after they appear to be dead. AoE until the corpses disappear.

Be prepared for Panic with Fear Ward and Tremor Totem as well as any Fear breaking abilities.

Otherwise, simply DPS the boss and remove the enrage with, for example, Soothe, Tranquilizing Shot, or Shiv.

GehennasAbilities

Gehennas' Curse: Reduces healing effects for nearby enemies by 75% for 5 min.

Rain of Fire: Calls down a molten rain, burning all enemies in a selected area for 23750 to 26250 Fire damage every 2 sec. for 6 sec.

Shadow Bolt: Hurls a bolt of dark magic at an enemy, inflicting 95000 to 105000 Shadow damage.

Fist of Ragnaros: (Add ability) Stuns nearby enemies, rendering them unable to move or attack for 4 sec.

Strategy

Kill the Flamewaker Elite adds first to stop them from casting their stun.

Decurse Gehennas' Curse immediately, especially on Tanks.

Otherwise, simply DPS the boss and stay out of rain of fire.

GarrAbilities

Antimagic Pulse: Dispels magic on nearby enemies, removing 1 beneficial spell effect.

Frenzy: Increases the caster's attack speed by 9%. Stacks to 8, one stack per add killed.

Magma Shackles: Reduces the movement speed of nearby enemies by 60% for 15 sec.

Strategy

Kill the rock adds first if your tank has no problem staying alive to the Frenzy buff.

Dispel the movement speed debuff, Mass Dispel is particuarly useful here.

Otherwise, simply DPS the boss and recast buffs when he dispels the raid.

ShazzrahAbilities

Arcane Explosion: Sends out a blast wave of magic, inflicting 47500 to 52500 Arcane damage to nearby enemies.

Counterspell: Counters the spellcasting of enemies within 30 yards, preventing any spell from that school of magic from being cast for 10 sec.

Gate of Shazzrah: Teleports the caster instantly to a visible enemy.

Shazzrah's Curse: Increases the magical damage taken by nearby enemies by 100% for 5 min.

Strategy

Make sure to clear the trash around Shazzrah's area since he Blinks around to raid members.

Decurse the Shazzrah's Curse immediately, especially if it's on the tank.

Purge/Spellsteal/Dispel Magic the Magic Grounding buff on the boss, otherwise DPS the boss. Ranged stay 30 yards away due to Counterspell.

Baron GeddonAbilities

Ignite Mana: Burns 400 mana from nearby enemies every 3 sec. for 5 min. Each point of mana that is destroyed also damages the target from which it is consumed..

Inferno: Surrounds the caster with an inferno that periodically inflicts Fire damage to nearby enemies for 8 sec. While the caster is aflame, he cannot move or use his abilities.

Living Bomb: Throws a bomb at an enemy. After 8 sec., the bomb explodes, (Explosion).

Armageddon: (Self cast) Unable to move, attack, or cast spells.

Strategy

Healers, dispel the Ignite Mana off each other.

If you have Living Bomb, run out of the raid, away from other players.

Melee run out during Inferno, otherwise everyone DPS the boss.

Golemagg the IncineratorAbilities

Earthquake: Inflicts 57000 to 63000 physical damage to nearby enemies.

Magma Splash: Splashes the target with Magma, melting its armor by 250, dealing Fire damage and 3600 additional Fire damage for 30 sec.

Pyroblast: Inflicts 57000 to 63000 Fire damage to an enemy and scorches the target for an additional 5000 damage every 3 sec. for 12 sec.

Strategy

Have 2 tanks for this fight, one on the boss and one on the Core Rager adds. Ignore the dogs since they can't die while Golemagg is alive. Tanks should taunt swap the boss due to the Armor debuff.

DPS the boss and use personal cooldowns and healing cooldowns during Earthquake.

Sulfuron HarbingerAbilities

Demoralizing Shout: Reduces the melee and ranged attack power of nearby enemies by -1500 for 30 sec.

Flame Spear: Tosses a spear of flame, inflicting (100% of Spell power) Fire damage to an enemy, as well as scorching any other enemies in the vicinity of the target.

Hand of Ragnaros: Inflicts 630 Fire damage to nearby enemies, knocking them back and stunning them for 2 sec.

Inspire: Increases the Physical damage dealt by an ally by 25% and speeds its attacks by 100% for 10 sec.

Throw: Throws a weapon at an enemy, inflicting 95000 to 105000 damage.

Add Abilities (Flamewaker Priest)

Shadow Word: Pain: Utters a word of darkness, inflicting Shadow damage to an enemy every 3 sec. for 15 sec.

Dark Mending: Uses dark magic to heal an ally for 237500 to 262500 damage.

Dark Strike: Consecrates the caster's weapon, inflicting 1026 to 1134 additional damage on its next attack. All damage caused is considered Shadow damage.

Immolate: Inflicts 19000 to 21000 Fire damage to an enemy and scorches it for an additional 9500 to 10500 damage every 3 sec. for 21 sec.

Strategy

Have 2 tanks for this fight, one on the boss and one on adds.

It is vital to have raid members assigned to interrupt the Heal that comes from the adds.

Stay spread at all times due to Flame Spear.

Remember to save healing cooldowns for when he casts Inspire and dispel Shadow Word: Pain.

Majordomo ExecutusAbilities

Damage Shield: Causes 6000 Arcane damage to any creature that strikes a nearby minion.

Magic Reflection: Causes all nearby allies to reflect 50% of harmful spells for 10 sec.

Teleport: Teleports an enemy into the midst of burning coals.

Add Abilities (Flamewaker Healer and Flamewaker Elite)

Shadow Bolt: Hurls a bolt of dark magic at an enemy, inflicting 71250 to 78750 Shadow damage.

Shadow Shock: Instantly lashes nearby enemies with dark magic, inflicting 37000 to 43000 Shadow damage.

Blast Wave: Inflicts (100% of Spell power) Fire damage to nearby enemies and reduces their movement speed by 50% for 8 sec.

Fire Blast: Inflicts 47500 to 52500 Fire damage to an enemy.

Fireball: Inflicts 71250 to 78750 Fire damage to an enemy.

Strategy

Have 2 tanks for this fight, four adds on each.

Mark a kill order for adds so dps isn't split.

Executus will despawn when adds are defeated.

RagnarosAbilities

Elemental Fire: Ignites the target, dealing 67500 to 82500 Fire damage and 20000 Fire damage every 1 sec for 8 sec.

Magma Blast: Inflicts 300000 Fire damage to an enemy.

Wrath of Ragnaros: Inflicts 75000 Fire damage to nearby enemies, knocking them back.

Strategy

Healers watch for the fire dot and keep heals over time on those targets.

The raid should be careful to dps with their backs to one of the stone walls in the room as much as possible to mitigate the effects of the knock back.

To recapture that feeling, we’ll be opening a Team Deathmatch–style Battleground based on that timeless struggle. This is purely a deathmatch battleground.

Killing players makes you go up in rank and the ranks are taken from the original honor system.

The nod to the original honor system is purely cosmetic and it will be just a buff in that instance of the battleground.

Higher ranked players are worth more points when killed. This is a nostalgic nod to the old system. Example: a rank 1 player gives 1 point, a rank 14 player gives 14 points.

There are no additional rewards from this battleground besides the titles.

Win a battle in the 10th Anniversary battleground, Southshore vs. Tarren Mill.
Winning this battleground rewards the <Name>, Southshore Slayer or <Name>, Tarren Mill Terror title.

10th Anniversary Hotfixes: 11/21

Rygarius

Battlegrounds and Arenas

Tarren Mill vs Southshore

Victory conditions are now for the first side to reach 300 points or the match results in a tie after 30 minutes.
Tarren Mill Deathguards and Alliance Guards now have more health.

Molten Core

Players should no longer be incorrectly placed into a Molten Core where Ragnaros has already been defeated.
Shazzrah's area of effect damage has been reduced.
Firelord now uses the Lava Spawn ability less frequently.
Core Hound, Molten Destroyer, and Molten Giant's area-of-effect attacks now deals 50% less damage.
Core Hound, Molten Destroyer, Molten Giant, Lava Annihilator, and Lava Surger now have 30% less health.
In a departure from the original Molten Core, reduced aggro radius for most non-boss creatures from their original aggro radius from back in the day.

Baron Geddon still has his Living Bomb ability and according to the text, it's going to do 125k when it goes off. Oh the trolling is going to happen with people making macros to whisper target (or focus target) that they have the bomb and should move out.... evilness indeed.

Is it safe to assume that LFR Molten-Core will have a weekly lockout like most raids? And, any indication that we can use a bonus roll to increase our chances to get either the enchant or the pet?

TM vs SS will be lots of fun... glad they have a 90-99 bracket as well... I can get all of my 90+ toons in on some action (especially because I am sure the title is character specific).

As a new player, (<90) based on how well the xpac roll out went, I am blocking out the time for the WOW anniversary event to play something else (any of several "on the house' type titles I have hoarded, as I don't want to waste my time sitting a a que, or stumbling around in a laggy slide show. I could care less about the typical flufftent provided in these kinds of things.

For some reason I can only queue for MC and SSvsTM in my garrison. Everywhere else it simply doesn't appear in raid/bg finder.

If you win a battle ground and the title on your horde toon, does that mean you get the title on your ally toon aswell (does it cross over?)

You can run the MC lvl 100 raid once per week to get the secondary loots ( enchant and pet )

I know guide says you can only get loot once a week but has anyone tried yet? Molten Core isn't in my lock outs after finishing it, nor is it on the calendar. As insane as this sounds, I want to keep running the raid till I get that damn pet.

Recently confirmed on Twitter that the MC special event LFR will not have a loot lockout, so Hatespark the Tiny and Flames of Ragnaros will be farmable.

Does anyone know if the pvp title carries over to another faction?

Like, if I complete the achievement on my Alliance character, will I have the title on my Horde character as well or do I need to get the achievement again?

I'm assuming I do need to do the achievement again, but there are a few titles that carry over to the other faction so that's why I was wondering if it is the case with this one.

MC needs some fixes: less rarity for the enchant/pet (especiallly the enchant since it wont be sellable afterwards) and make the enchant BOA and also allow hunters to use it on thier ranged weapon.

Wow, I remember the day when raid-quality loot would be under the heading of "Epic Gear" with a short note saying "it also uses model x and can be used for transmog", instead of being under the heading of "Transmog" with a short note saying "it's also really high level gear".

Apparently we've gotten so obsessed with how we look that actually playing the game is only an afterthought.

The WoW Anniversary event ended a bit earlier than intended, so to make up for that lost time and any inconvenience we’re going to be re-enabling it for an additional week. The event--including the level 100 Molten Core raid--will be available again from January 6 at 10:00 a.m. PST until January 13 at 10:00 a.m. PST, for North American realms. You can see the updated event dates and times in the in-game calendar.
