The Iron Waystation in Frostfire Ridge is southeast of the Wolf's Stand Flight Path.

If you are Alliance and haven't explored Frostfire Ridge before, you can get through the giant wall of rock by Iron Siegeworks via a tiny tunnel--you aren't trapped!

Deadgrin is nearby the Evermorn Springs in Gorgrond.

Lost Veil Anzu is the body of water bordering Spires of Arak and Shadowmoon Valley. It is easy to reach by swimming along the west coast of Shadowmoon Valley.

The Path of Glory in Talador is around 66,10--close to where Talador leads into Gorgrond.

Isle of Shadows in Shadowmoon Valley is southwest of Socrethar's Rise.

Visiting a treasure page like Curious Deathweb Egg shows the loot it contains, a map, and a macro underneath the map that tells you if you've already looted the treasure.

Our Draenor Zone Pages let you show the locations for different things on the map. If you click on the silver chest icon underneath the "Loot" section, you will see the locations for all treasures.

These cost 0 Garrison Resources from Garrison Quartermasters Sergeant Crowler and Sergeant Grimjaw.

These allow you to complete specific daily quests, which count towards Securing Draenor/Securing Draenor progress.

Do note that you cannot buy a missive for Assault on the Pit--you must wait for that group quest to spawn at your Command Table. But you can complete the other 11 daily quests via Scouting Missives for a total of 0 Garrison Resources. In 6.2.3, you can buy a missive for Assault on the Pit.

Order of the Awakened: 1500 reputation via Unseen Influence, requiring players to kill rares and loot treasures.

Saberstalkers: Kill elites for reputation, summon several elites for the weekly quest Rumble in the Jungle (3500 reputation), and a chance at Tooth and Claw for an extra 1500 reputation.

Hand of the Prophet/Vol'jin's Headhunters: Complete a short introductory questline, which unlocks three dailies, which in total grant 1000 reputation. A fourth daily has a chance to be up for an additional 250 reputation.

6.2 Garrison Campaignnot

Saberstalkers can be ground out, theoretically, in a day if you constantly kill elites and don't bother with daily quests.

Order of the Awakened will take 14 days, since it's only one daily after one initial quest.

Hand of the Prophet/Vol'jin's Headhunters has some variance. 2200 reputation is earned through initial quests, with a guaranteed 1000 reputation from dailies. It will take roughly 19 days at most to hit Revered, but there is a chance of getting another reputation quest for an extra 250 rep.

A Level 3 Trading Post Level 3 increases reputation gains in Draenor by 20%--this works with 6.2 factions. Learn how to construct this with our Guide to the Garrison Trading Post.

Guild Battle Standards increase reputation gains by 5% (Banner of Cooperation), 10% (Standard of Unity), and 15% (Battle Standard of Coordination).

WHEE!: Darkmoon Faire buff-ride the carousel for a minute and you'll get reputation gains increased by 10% for an hour.

Darkmoon Top Hat: 10% reputation gain for 1 hour, from Darkmoon Top Hat obtained during the Darkmoon Faire for 0 Darkmoon Prize Ticket.

Diplomacy: 10 % reputation gain, human racial.

The subject has brought out passionate viewpoints and sparked insightful conversations on our official forums and blogs, on community sites, and in chat channels. Your feedback has been a valuable part of the ongoing conversations within Blizzard as well, and today, we’d like to share some updated plans for how we’ll handle flight going forward. The Thrill of Discovery At the heart of the initial plan to restrict flight in Draenor (even after players reach level 100) lies the design goal of providing the best moment-to-moment gameplay possible in the outdoor world. From navigating the lava flows of the Molten Front in Patch 4.2, to breaching the Thunder King’s stronghold in Patch 5.2, to reaching the heights of the Ordon Sanctuary on Timeless Isle in Patch 5.4, to uncovering secrets deep within Gorgrond’s jungles on Draenor, World of Warcraft is full of memorable moments that are only possible when players explore the world by ground. And as we’ve continued to develop content over the years, we’ve focused more and more on providing players with these kinds of experiences.However, while we firmly believe that keeping your feet on the ground is a key part of discovery in WoW, we also recognize that breaking free from those restrictions can be fun and rewarding as well, especially for those who’ve already fully experienced the game’s world content. With that in mind, we’re planning some changes in the near future that will allow players to enjoy their hard-earned flying mounts in Draenor—in a way that doesn’t compromise the excitement of ground-based exploration. Mastering the Outdoor World In an upcoming Public Test Realm build, we will be introducing a new meta-achievement called Draenor Pathfinder. You’ll earn this achievement in Patch 6.2 by mastering the outdoor environment of Draenor—exploring Draenor’s zones, collecting 100 treasures in Draenor, completing the Draenor Loremaster and Securing Draenor achievements, and raising the three new Tanaan Jungle reputations to Revered. Initially, this achievement will award a rylak mount: the Soaring Skyterror, one of the native beasts that roam Draenor’s skies. Players will remain ground-bound on Draenor until a small follow-up patch (6.2.x), when all players who have earned Draenor Pathfinder on at least one character will unlock the ability to fly in Draenor on all their level 90+ characters.We believe this strikes the right balance between ensuring ground-based content lives up to its full potential, while providing players who’ve already fully experienced Draenor’s outdoor world extra freedom to “break the rules.” This also provides a general blueprint going forward for content to come. Players will explore new and undiscovered lands from the ground, and then once they’ve fully mastered those environments—a notion that continues to evolve with each new expansion—they can take to the skies and experience the world from a new vantage point.Thank you for your heartfelt feedback. Well, this is almost exactly what I asked for. As expected, I've done all the cheevos already available, which is why I was so bitter about being groundbound.

The addition of the Tanaan reps is a bit of a downer though. Being held back by one rep that only gives one daily... really? An artificial month's wait for something I should have had soon after dinging 100?

Mixed feelings. I unsubbed last night, before this was posted. I'll play on tokens instead; yes, I'm aware of the math involved, but it's not MY money going to them. It'll be going to another game.

Am I the first to say anything?

While it is nice that they are going to put flying back into the game this doesn't change the fact that they are still forcing us to play the way they want us to play. Instead of putting in enough content for people to play they are holding flying hostage until we do what they believe is enough of what there is to do to allow us to have this skill.

Don't get me wrong I am thankful that they see how much many of the players love flying, but this method is very hard on player that do not have a lot of time to play. If this is the plan for future expansions it may turn many of your casual players off to the game.

In any case it's nice that the WoW development team is at least considering the concerns of the players

Instead of buying treasure maps, you can load the addon Handy Notes Draenor Treasures to put markers for treasures. Just like the maps, they will disappear once you've collected them.

I swear I heard that in my mind. (If it was so, only 4 players in all the gamer base would qualify or such).

I felt cheated out my flying already. I am already Loremaster in Draenor, I already ground (pun intended) ALL possible reputations, on a single character...

...Now I must grind another three factions... and really, chasing treasure boxes? I've been grinding apexis for quite a while now, and still that crap isn't enough? And still wait another micro-patch before I car "earn the skies, graaaaaawwwwkkkk" Ahem, I lost myself a bit out there, sorry.

GOOD HEAVENS! Now they are going to tell me that I must finish all the previous raids on Mythic first?

Whatever, you now sit and watch how many people are willing to complete all that stuff to be able to fly, and I bet that's a lotta people.

But, as Heelvs.Babyface screams out loud in his Youtube cast "That's not freaking !$@#%@$% relevant content anymoooooore!"

I'm very happy with this announcement. It's seems a sound compromise (my rule of thumb: a sound compromise means everyone walks away slightly unhappy but with an agreement) and, hey, if you're someone with a lot of alts (18 at 100, with 7 still to level for me) this will actually save me a massive chunk of gold.

If you're like me and hate dailies, there will be some catching up to do for Securing Draenor. You'll notice that while you can buy items like Scouting Missive: Stonefury Cliffs, ~~there's no Scouting Missive for Assault on the Pit. You'll have to look out for this one to do it when it comes around to complete the achievement. Not sure why this is....~~

Will the "Draenor Pathfinder" meta be account wide? As in, grind reps on human (Diplomacy racial), explore and collect treasures on rogue (stealth+vanish), have Loremaster of Draenor on main (if they aren't human and/or rogue), etc.?

I found one problem. I was checking out my profiler and was looking for quests that I may have already done. I wrote them down in a notebook as they were written on this site. Well on the profiler I searched for completed quests in Draenor, and there was at least one that was condescending. In the Loremaster of Draenor link, it says under Spires of Arak, "Shadows Gather", but if you look at the real quest it is in fact "A Gathering of Shadows", which was confusing when checking off quests. Please fix this.

So since i know there's a "rylak" mount reward that blizzard hasn't announced the skin yet, i'd expect it to be lookalike of this :

This is a model using the rylak animation, but doesn't use the same skin. I VERY HIGHLY doubt that blizzard will make another mount that is like a rylak like the one from the shop, since it'd be a money loss. However, they still stated that it was going to be a "rylak mount" so even then, i'm only giving out my theory.

This model was speculated to be a incoming mount in wod, but was never precised when or how it was going to be obtained., However, it doesn't look like a beast from draenor much, so again, i'm only giving a possible theory.

Please feel free to upvote/ replay as you wish if you have opinions or information :)

I'm taking a break from WoW for school but I'm a little nervous at the idea of coming back to Draenor and trying to catch up with this while PVPers swoop down on ground-bound me as I try to grind out those reps. :/ Might have to avoid coming back until 7.0 (or if Blizzard has a mass transfer discount so I can GTFO this PVP server).

The flying tool, when I load my toon, says I need to complete Grand Treasure Hunter, which is looting 200 treasures, but your guide and the original Blizz post say I just need to loot 100 treasures. I assume it's the 100 treasures which is correct, but you might want to revise your (otherwise very helpful) tool.

I am in agreement that the reputations seem a bit... unnecessary, but hey. Getting to revered is half as hard as exalted, so I'm good. Hopefully the Saberstalkers aren't like Shaohao. Based on what I've read though, they seem a lot like the old Mag'har and Telaari reputations. Except you need 100 thingies, and what you're killing is elite.

As others have said though, with an achievement you save buckets of cash if you have a lot of alts! BUCKETS! If we just had to complete an achievement back in the last expansions, I'd be rolling in it! I think I'm ultra happy that I can continue to pet and hoard every single one of my pretty goldies.

WHEE!: Darkmoon Faire buff-ride the carousel for a minute and you'll get reputation gains increased by 10% for an hour.
Darkmoon Top Hat: 10% reputation gain for 1 hour, from Darkmoon Top Hat obtained during the Darkmoon Faire for 10.
These two buffs replace each other so you can get hats(which can be used anywhere) or ride the carousel then get some hats when the buff falls off.

The Draenor Pathfinder will be a new meta-achievement in 6.2 that rewards the Soaring Skyterror mount as well as the ability to fly in Draenor on all lvl 90+ characters in a slightly later minipatch.
Draenor Pathfinder will be account-wide, so you can complete the following segments below on different characters!

i don't really get it.. so if i get the Draenor Pathfinder on 1 toon all my toon can fly cause its account-wide ? or i have to wait for slightly later minipatch?

The guide above says you need 100 treasures and notes that the achievement for that is Master Treasure Hunter. Master Treasure Hunter is for 50 treasures. There is currently not an achievement for 100 treasures.

The Wowhead tool to check flying readiness, when you use it, says that if you don't have the Grand Treasure Hunter achievement, for 200 treasures, that the requirement is "Incomplete," so I suspect there is a typo or bit of misinformation somewhere.

I think the World (of Warcraft) dislikes this one very much. Based on MMO Champions stats, less than 5% of people have this achievement (3.72% out of 1.8 million players). Seems like most people hate these as much as I do! :)

Exactly how many treasures do you need to discover? The guide says 100, the achievement linked in the guide says 100, but the same achievement in WoW says you need 50 to earn it, with the next level achievement being 200.

Given all the achievements for flying, it is just a matter of time before they require us to do the WHOLE Azeroth Loremaster achievement.

I'm very happy with this compromise out of Blizzard! They said they WANTED us to see the world and be immersed in it. This way they can be sure that before each player flies we have been everywhere and seen everything.

I want to fly because I do have a lot of beautiful dragons that I have worked hard for and earned achievements for. I also wish to fly because I fish a lot and because of archaeology. I spend so much time just trying to get to the site. Flying will cut that time in half easily.

Thank you Blizzard for considering those of us who have EARNED it.

I'm really happy that Blizz compromised on this. I have very little time to play in the week and it ended up where I'd just log in, do Garrison, log out. I don't have time to wait for the fp's and then up/down/around mountain runs /rinse /repeat. The flavour bits like fishing and arch hasn't even happened this xpac cause I simply don't have enough time.

However, the idea to enforce ground explore before flying is great. I've seen the coolest things and died in the oddest places (to much frustration/laughter) just because I wanted to see what's around the next corner or over the hill. That wouldn't have happened had I just flown everywhere from day one.

Surprisingly enough it looks like getting flying in Draenor will be fairly easy. I just looked over my achievements on one toon and for the most part I have most of them and the few I lack should be easy enough to get.

It's a good trade off I suppose, I didn't really care much either way for flying or not flying in this expansion so free mount here I come lol.

This will make Treasures in Spires of Arak SO much easier! I already have the achieve but if you don't like questing much finding treasures and doing bonus objectives is a GREAT alternative! This is a great alternative to learn flying instead of forking over my hard earned gold to learn it!

I'm wondering how accurate this link to pathfinder is here. I just leveled a character up to 93, completed Frostfire Ridge and have just got the quest for Goren! Goren! Gone! (haven't even started it yet) and thought I'd check to see if I actually completed all the quests I needed for Frostfire Ridge.

Much to my surprise I'm showing a 100% complete for "Don't let the Tala-door hit you on the way out." 25% completion for "Putting the Gore in Gorgrond." and 11.1% completion for "Between Arak and a hard place."
I've just barely set foot in Gorgrond. Never set foot in Talador or Spires of Arak.

How can I have 100%, 25% and 11.1% quests completed in these zones?

It can't be because of account wide achievements because I have another character that has 100% completion for Don't let the Tala-Door Hit You On The Way Out, 77.8% completion for Between Arak and a Hard Place, 75% completion for Putting the Gore in Gorgrond.

Does anyone know if you can just go to the areas where the Securing Draenor dailies would send you and do them, without the daily in your quest log, and get credit?

Flying for me is the best thing in the new patch 6.2 . I am sure I will find more things later, but, I have been waiting for flying in Draenor. My druid really, really misses her flight form! Good grief... And you know darn well Blizzard is going to add a new flight training, just to help drain off some of your hard earned gold. Who'd like to make that wager?

Personally, I'm sick of all the ledges that look climbable but aren't, and all the ledges I find that look like they shouldn't be climbable, but are! It's like Bliz decided to throw out standard formula for hills and ledges this expansion, which makes getting around in Draenor, that much more painful.

Don't get me wrong, I'm so very thankful for the mage tower and the smart placement of flight paths. I just wish they'd maybe add a few more strategic graveyards. I did run into a 3 minute walk to my body once, because I had to walk around a giant mountain.

Part of the majesty of WoW is flying. I love it. I love flying low to the ground and exploring places I haven't been in the old content, since the cataclysm. The idea that there is a single zone you can't fly in, that isn't under ground or under water, is just silly to me. In my opinion, 3D space is what gives WoW a major edge, apart from other MMO's.

There are tons of things I love about the implementation of this achieve, since you get the convenience of flying once again, but this time without the ease of just buying it; you need to be committed, and you earn it. Great idea.

That said, I have to say that this mount looks like its previous owner spilled a keg full of various hamburger condiments on it and then refused to give it a bath. Just my opinion.

Same old story. When Blizzard runs out of ideas, they introduce new factions to grind rep for. And they even suggests doing it in the next expansions, too. Rep grinds isn't "experiencing the contents", it's braindead borefests.

I think it's time to say goodbye, there's no point in following this train wreck any longer. There are better options.

Players will remain ground-bound on Draenor until a small follow-up patch (6.2.x), when all players who have earned Draenor Pathfinder on at least one character will unlock the ability to fly in Draenor on all their level 90+ characters.

Yes, I'm quite happy with the decision to make us earn flying.
Garrisons cost me a couple hundred thousand gold and I'm not even done. Flying shouldn't be something you pay for.

At first, the list of achieves needed seemed quite daunting, but now that I've finally got most of it done, I can look back and say it was worth it and I earned the right to fly. It's not a grind, like everyone wants to say it is. It's about LORE and experiencing the world of warcraft, or in this case the new expansion area and lore that comes with it. Blizzard works hard to create this game, and everyone just wants to rush through it to get max level and ignore the RP content. I'm guilty of this for sure. I've never cared much for the lore even though I enjoy the game and have played since Wrath, but I was enlightened recently when I took almost 2 years off all games, then started up playing other games and eventually coming back to WoW because there is nothing that really compares. I enjoyed the lore of other games, and realized I just ignored it all this time in WoW because leveling seemed such a grind when all I wanted to get max level. Well, I say to all of you, enjoy the lore while you play, don't ignore all of it because it really adds to the experience of playing a video game. Absorbing the world in a game is what takes you away from reality.

It is a lot of time and effort to get Pathfinder, yes, but it will be worth it when you can soar into the air in draenor! Especially if you still have 90s or less that need to level up. If you choose not to, undoubtedly you will be jealous of everyone that is flying by you, wishing you could fly as well. ;)
Oh, and getting a new mount for the achieve too, instead of just do all this stuff so you can fly, it's "here's a hard achieve, but we're giving you a new mount to make it more worth the while, in case flying isn't something your too concerned about." I like it.

(ok, yes, the Order of awakened is a grind... but c'mon, this is Blizz we're talking about.. they 'gotta' throw in a grind somewhere. Look on the bright side, you only have to do it ONCE! :)

This is quite possibly the worst of the requisites for Pathfinder.

Exploration, quests, bonus objectives and treasure hunting all seems natural. Grinding reputation for weeks (possibly months?) just seems ludicrous. I'm not really all that eager for flying in Draenor; my only concern is how much of an impact flying will have on PvP and chances for rare spawns (i.e. mounts) given how tedious this achievement will be to complete. There are a good many folks who already have this achievement done, or near done, while many others (such as myself) are only around the halfway mark. The irony in unlocking flying is that it's supposed to be a reward for those who experience content but I'm confident in saying that anyone who has this achievement done already, likely hasn't taken time to "appreciate" the content as Blizz is asking.

Ah well. Cue the down-voting.

I am surprised at the number of positive responses this "compromise" has received. There have been a few times over the years which the devs micromanaged gameplay by forcing players to visit content for the sake of the experience and I have never enjoyed it. If the content being created is so fun then people will walk/run/ride all on their own. It seems to me that leaving flying as it was appeals to a much wider audience. The people who want to get down and "experience" the content can do so and the people who have other interests can do that too. I just can't see the logic here. It really seems like this is more about the devs than the players.

I'm almost finished with this, but I thought it worth noting that Assault on Shattrath Harbor isn't able to picked up on a daily. You have to buy the Scouting Missive. I put in a ticket with Bliz and they assured me that if it's a bug, it will be fixed but they said it probably isn't.

hi. I have been playing wow since 2009, 6 years. I have explored every zone of every world including draenor, but i think you are asking too much to gain the flying which we have already earned previously doing quests, paying out loads of gold for flying licences and skills, paying for unique flying mounts from your shop which are effectively useless. there are areas in every zone which are virtually unobtainable on foot. now come on guys, be fair. If someone does not wish to fly and explore the world properly, everywhere, they don't have to. please rectify this.

Tips for speeding up reputation:

Guild Battle Standards increase reputation gains by 5% ( Banner of Cooperation), 10% ( Standard of Unity), and 15% ( Battle Standard of Coordination).

Unfortunately reputation for Order of the Awakened and the Ally/Horde faction required only award rep from quests, which the Guild Battle Standards do not apply bonuses to. It's a bit silly that they don't actually, as every other bonus listed does apply to quests.

I will not fly in Draenor. Simple. It's easy to do this "content". Just making long and boring grinds with no proper motivation. Why the f**k should I do this stupid achievment, when Legion is coming? All the time in Draenor I used ground mounts. I think I can handle next few months. :-) And after that? Ground mounts again. Maybe I would consider if the expansion release date was like 11/2016, but that is not going to happen.

If there was some awesome mount - OK, maybe that COULD motivate me. But flying as a reward? I say LOL! (Don't see the motivation in Skyterror.)

I've checked my achievments and it wouldn't take long to complete it, but 3 reputations at REVERED? Sorry, I absolutely HATE doing dailies (doing the same things all around is incredibly annoying). How lucky I was when I could complete Pandaria reputations via Lost Insignias from Zandalari Warbinders and Warscouts, or farming Firestorm eggs from Timeless Isle. If these things weren't included, I would probably never had Cloud Serpents, Cranes, Shado-Pan Tigers or Amber Scorpion. But here, I'm almost pretty sure I will just not fly. Blizzard can choke themselves with these mindless grinds.

Problem is though to all flying haters, Blizzard shot themselves in the foot by adding flying mounts in their own shop! So people paying real money for a flying mount to have to leave lovely draenor to fly it? After 5000 sales they prob realized they screwed up & to save face added the pathfinder achi to fly! Thats probably why Blizzard are prolonging the wait to implement the patch, make a big deal out of it!

I agree flying must be earned and pathfinding achievement is a great idea, but I see reputation grinding too limiting for casual players: Reputations have always been something "extra" allowing players to have access to exclusive items if they worked hard for them. I see flying as a core mechanic of the game and restricting it only to players that have more time to play the game is kind of unfair. I hope they will change this for Legion.

For people wondering why they cannot fly in Draenor from the first quest.. Draenor flying is only unlocked once you get passed the mission that gives you the achievement Welcome to Draenor for the horde or Welcome to Draenor for the alliance.

I don't know if anyone else noticed it, but on the 16th AND the 17th of September, The "Assault on The Pit" Quest was available from the garrison table. I think, that Blizzard makes The Pit quest appear, when they know, that a lot of people only needs that one quest for getting their "Draenor Pathfinder" Achievement which i got the 17th. I don't know if this helps anybody :P it was just a little thinking.

I don't know if The Pit appeared on other servers, i only checked mine (Stormscale EU)

I could have done this without WoWHead.com.

But it would have taken me another 12 months. Great info to finish Draenor Pathfinding Acheivement. Actually I'm still working on the last part getting the reputations, but I would have certainly given up without this site. The last part can be a drag, especially the Saberstalkers, you have to grind each day to get the reputation. That's not so fun. But the quests for the other two are fun at first, then they get old, 12,000 for exalted is a lot of grinding. But I see a silver lining at least, about ten days from writing this. Just knuckle down and do it. As far as the rest, Blizzard was right, there is a ton of content, toys, junk, lore, and critters I would have missed because I went up to 100 at hyper speed. In fact I was working on some quest in Panda land after reaching 90 and was still getting leveling up with those quests, I think I got to about 93. All you have to do is at 90 establish a garrison in Draenor, and get a stone, then you can go back to Pandaria and continue finishing quests there. I like Draenor but I liked Pandaria a lot better, had more nuances, culture that was new, better feel. So thanks Wowhead, you guys have done good. So has Blizzard, but I'm hoping for more exotic with the next expansion, like the concepts in Pandaria.

Question about the account wide achievements. do i have to complete everything in 1 character for it work?
for example. my warrior, has loremaster and treasure hunter done, and almost done with explore draenor. say i wanted to finish the pathfinder quest on my mage who is stronger but i rushed him to 100 and only got some achievements along the way but it still shows me that i have the loremaster and master treasure hunter achievement. do i have to get both achievements again on my mage for it to count to the pathfinder achievement?

i just want to finish it with my mage because it has done a lot of the rep quest, almost done with the 2 already.

I realize that my opinion won't mean much but here it is. This obsession you have to keep us on the ground is not matched with you taking the time to truly make the gameplay fun. I will tell you it is nothing but grinding and dying. I play solo and don't have the aid of a group to help me. I did reach level 100 as a death knight, but I don't have the capability to kill beasts with 500k of health in addition to others in the area joining in. Your gameplay sucks. I had a daily pop up the other day where there were several beasts in the area with massive health. I had to throw everything I had the kill one with only 8% health left and several great capabilities on cooldown. You wonder why you are loosing so many players, this is one reason why. Your gameplay for solo players like me just plain sucks. I quit playing last year and just came back two months ago to play the Warlords of Draenor, but I am not sure how long I will stick around again. You need to make the gameplay fun and not just a grind. Karl

I like the idea they were going for with experiencing the content but i really do not enjoy them forcing people to grind for weeks. The exploration quests and treasure were all good enough.They could have made a separate achievement for the mount. I really hate rep grinds and i dont find them fun oh well i guess.

So here's a puzzle for you.

One time when I was playing my rogue - who's only level 61 - I looked in the "General" tab of the spellbook and found Draenor Pathfinder outlined in shiny gold and telling me to see my trainer.

Can anyone explain to me how or why it came to be there? Or what to do with it?

Am I the only here who has mass misgivings with this flying system
Being able to fly in Tanaan Jungle gives a very distinct and unfair advantage to those who can fly. This means those who don't have flying for whatever reason, such as trying to get Pathfinder, cannot because there are now never any rares up simplly because those who do fly are able to swoop down kill the rare, and onto the next rare.

Blizzard ensured there would never be any flying on Timeless Isle for this exact very reason.

Tanaan is their to help people gear up for beginning raiders, by giving a chance to get baleful equipments from rares, if people can't any longer get to those rares, there is a significant fault it, and it also explains why many more people have quit playing.

The idea you need to get a massive rep gain, is stupid for so many reasons. Firstly those on flying mounts are also doing the same things as you, except from a different perspective.

How do you get to a rare when all it takes for someone who can fly, to swoop down and take the kill? It completely defeats the reason why there should be no flying in the zone..and who ever came up with that idea should have been sacked Tanaan should be a no fly zone I am only parroting what many other people have told me and agree with.

Faction transfers will reset your progress on Securing Draenor/Securing Draenor as they are faction specific quests which complete the achievement.

The Faction Change Basics, Eligibility, and Limitations support page states:

Faction-specific completed quests will be lost and will no longer count toward any completed quests counters.

So if you're planning on doing a faction transfer, make sure you complete this achievement first.

I had one more to go and didn't think of this, had to do it all over again >_<

Never mind. I'll keep on walking. Actually, I'm cancelling my subscription anyway. I used to love flying around on my druid alt to gather herbs. It was relaxing. Can't do that now, unless I go to the older content.

I got a friend to sign up (Not through RAF) and when he hit 20 it said he unlocked flying in draenor. So when he used his free 90 boost he could fly straight away..not sure how he got that.

While the meta achievement is account-wide, completing the quest chains for individual zones is per-character progress. So while character A can complete Don't Let the Tala-door Hit You on the Way Out and character B can complete Nagrandeur to give credit towards Loremaster of Draenor, character A cannot complete 2 questlines in Don't Let the Tala-door Hit You on the Way Out, and character B the rest.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: (missing from all the guides I ran across)
Characters A and B have to be on same faction!

The achievement is account-wide, yes. But you can't do four zones on Alliance and the fifth on Horde, unfortunately. Once completed 5/5 on either faction, the meta achi will be completed for both sides.

imho the achievement is an alt killer, as you have to cover every square inch in the xpac and do everything there is to do just to unlock flying. By that time, who would ever want to see any part of Draenor again? When the new xpac launches (assuming I buy it, which is very questionable, given the absolute $%^& that WoD is) my 48 alts will skip the area altogether. Enough of feeding dev egos.

Let's get back to the good old days where you complete the content by leveling through it, then pay gold to unlock flight. Easy, quick, simple and accomplishes enough in the area on one toon to make the other, unexplored areas appealing.

If Legion does not contain such a feature, but instead requires me to cover every single event, occurrence, quest, area, inch and thing to do JUST to get the flight ability, I will just skip Legion and say goodbye to WOW until they get a new set of devs who understand that players just want to FLYYYY! And I would prefer to leave many areas of a new xpac untouched by my main, leaving them to my alts instead. I mean really who wants to repeat content they've already done? Not I, said the duck. If I pass on Legion it will be the first time in 12 years that WOW will not be my "go to" game. I'll focus on my many others, instead, including, but not limited to, FF14, GW2, SWTOR, STO and Neverwinter. If I play WOW, it will be to roll new alts and do old content where you can just fly when you've finished leveling.

To summarize: I enjoyed all the exploration, lore quests and secure requirements but revered rep farm with three factions? Are you kidding me? I simply refuse to do this ungrateful grind for 20 days. I am earthbound now, thank you.

I'm going to call BS on Blizzard making flying available only to players "who’ve already fully experienced Draenor’s outdoor world". Faction grinding through 3 reputations, without tabbards, which involves a singular daily quest for each faction is not an "experience". It is a firewall designed to keep players out for as long as possible. The new Legion achievement has even more factions. I get needing to make players work/experience all content before hand, but faction grinding is punishment, not pleasure to a player.

Personally, I spent quite a lot of time, preparing to be able to fly in draenor. Even now legion is out I would still like to wrap up the final bits. (I've spent this amount of time, now I'm damn well getting it!)

I'm only missing a couple dailies for securing draenor. I've bought the missives, and the quests are in my quest log. Unfortunately, whenever I enter a zone, the quest does not seem to be triggered. I can see the outlines of the zone on the map, the mobs have the golden halo indicating that they can help further a quest. But I don't get the progress bar at the bottom of my screen. After grinding the mobs for quite a bit (and relogging some times) I seem to be unable to finish any of the quests.

Does anyone else have this issue as well? Is there a way to solve this?

P.S.
I'm lvl 103 (not sure whether that affects things).

First of all Blizzard the fluff comments aren't fooling any one, we know your minions are posting positives the same as a savy consumer never reads the five star reviews on Amazon.

No real paying players are happy about pathfinder.

You know what people didn't like about the Mists of Pandaria they didn't like that once you reached level 90 it was a load of bull to get to the area to retrain to use a flying mount. The rest of the complaints was just auxiliary anger from the former.

Now not only have you repeated the same mistake you have worked your hardest to compound it.

What load of confounded bull crap is the pathfinder achievement. If you want to restrict flying fine make no fly zones, and area level caps.

But, no body is happy happy about this.

The requirements are too ridged. Your gonna sit there with a straight face and tell us that we wont get Draenor flying until we have completed most of the area! Whats the actual point.

I speak for common paying customers who have lives outside of WOW, bills to pay, and mouths to feed. We have already bent over backwards to meet the requirements to train in flying not once but twice. This is gonna be the straw that kills the camel.

Ain't no body got time for path finder.

As we speak I am finding it almost impossible to convince my wife who has her own separate account to come if the money for the Draenor expansion.

Because, of pathfinder and its confounded requirements.

Not only do I demand by the power of the price of my subscription that the requirements be lessened, but also I demand that the person responsible for pathfinder be publicly shamed.

Because they are sucking all the enjoyment out of an otherwise great game

On "Securing Draenor", the WOWhead guide suggests that completing all quests once should secure Draenor. I have completed all quests at least once, and have purchased quests to complete doing each several times, and still have not completed "Secure Draenor". Is there a bug? Am I missing something? I used to enjoy gaming with WOW, but lately it more like going to work (that I pay to do), than a relaxing fun entertainment. I need wings in Draenor, please.

Having Battle Standard of Coordination out when completing Rumble in the Jungle does not yield 15% additional reputation as the guide suggests. You will only get 3500 rep.
