I just logged in for the first time after 4.0.3a, and have apparently been awarded this achievement already. Could be that I've already explored the zones pre-Shattering (I've got The Explorer) and it's just basing it off those achievements.

Got this one automatically in 4.03 since I'd been to these places before they were damaged. It's a little bit disappointing, really.

Can confirm this is given to Explorers on first login. But interestingly, it doesn't show on summary page of recent achievements.

Me and my girlfriend actually have this achievement on our Explorer characters and all of our other characters who *haven't* explored the world. Hopefully it gets removed from everyone so we can actually earn it.

not sure about the level, I got it being only a level 61 on my first login after patching took place
and not sure as well whether I visited all the places before the Shattering....my guess is it is glitched as a few people have already mentioned

My level 1 twink with the explorer title DID NOT get this achievement flagged. Currently working on it.
Also missing the achievements for exploring Southern Barrens and Cape of Stranglethorn.

It seems this achievement was given to anyone with the explorer title AND being past a certain level (my guess is level 80).

Two problems with this. You might want to rethink your theory.

1. A level 1 character can't have the Explorer title. It's impossible. Even if you got someone to fly you around on a rocket to explore all of Northrend and babysit you through all the other zones so you don't have to corpse-hop to discover everything, you're going to get discovery experience with every new chunk of the map you discover. You'd certainly level multiple times on discovery experience alone by the time you got just a few zones discovered, let alone everything required for the Explorer title.

2. At this point in time, we can't be past level 80, so that can't be a requirement either.

From what I can work out, this achievement seems to be related to character level while the zone exploring achievements appear to be related to both level and achievements already earned. I could be completely wrong of course but here's some quick info on 3 of my characters.

My 80 DK with explorer title logged in to find he had this achievement and all (pre-cata) zones explored.

My Level 80 warrior that had next to zero zones explored due to levelling almost entirely through the LFG tool also had this achievement upon logging in. However he did not have the BC zones on Azeroth explored (Ghostlands, Eversong Woods etc.).

Level 42 hunter logged in to find all zones appropriate for his level and below explored, including many zones I had not set foot in. Higher level zones were all unexplored.
